All Max could say was "thank you" before shaking her hand, he didn't really care that she was ill. He needed to be respectful to his old boss. And without another word, he left her office. With little chance of ever coming back.
Now Max walked down to his old cubicle, Max took the box of his things that was sitting on the floor. And looked around to make sure he didnt miss anything. And he left his own cubicle, which he had to admit was kind of sad. Max walked down towards the exit with the box under his arm. The walk seemed to take a very long time. This was definantly not something that he wanted to do, but he had to do it.
Max reached the door and turned around and looked back at his cubicle. He took out his wand once more, and with a flick, the name plate that once had his name on it, was now blank. With that he opened the door and exited the department.
Olivia nodded and smiled when Max thanked her, letting her hand drop back down as they finished shaking them.
She stared, unblinking, as he gathered his things and left the office.Sighing loudly, Olivia looked back down at the work she had been doing, she picked the quill back up and went to write some more on the parchment. But she stopped herself, placing the quill back down on the desk and leaning back in her chair, folding her arms. The room seemed so quiet. They really did need more staff.
Blowing her nose, she stuffed the hankie back into her pocket and stood up.Smoothing out her robes, Olivia set a determind look on her face and marched towards the door. She was going to see Mr Lee to enquire about the possibility of more staff.Yes.Hopefully he would be able to find some.
Emma walked into the office, a smile on her face. A wedding ring sitting on her finger. She was newly married, and loving it! Smiling to herself she set her bag down onto her desk and looked around. She could see that Olivia had beat her into the office. Emma decided she should go pay her a visit.
Walking over she smiled at her boss, before showing concern. "Are you alright Olivia, you look very ill" She said, frowning.

Beware.
Her eyes darting all over the place, Liz looks around as she enters in front of Becca. Starting to shake in fear of what was going to happen to her, Liz wishes she could curl up somewhere and hide.
Waiting to see what was going to happen next, she stands there nervously.

Walking carefully behind Liz, Becca kept her eyes on the woman. Smiling at her, she looked around and tried to find Brian or Chris "Excuse me, is Mr. Lee or Chris here?" Becca asked, needing to get a security person to take Liz to Mungo's safely.

Chris was on a lunch break and now he was back. Going to his cubicle, he noticed other people and one of them was Becca. "Hey Becca," he smiled thoughtfully, wondering what was she doing at their workplace, "Any problem in here?" asked he and then he looked around and found a woman who is obviously in a bad condition.

"Hey Chris, umm yeah, Liz here needs to be escorted to St. Mungo's." Becca smiled at Liz and handed Chris Liz's wand and bag. "And unfortunately, she can't come back in the Ministry until Mungo's give her the all clear." Still smiling even though she was losing a good employee, Becca looked at Chris again.
"I've had to remove her from the Mysteries department too, you might wanna put that on your records, she'll be given a job elsewhere when she's.. not so obsessed with her work in the Department." Becca explained as best she could "But I really need to talk to Brian about this, I think she's gonna need some reassurance from him.. She seems to be in a listening mood, he's a good talker." Becca knew Brian was the best at this sort of thing. And she wanted to see him too.

Looking up as a man comes over and starts talking to Becca, Liz wastches miserably as Becca hands him her bag and wand.
Still shaking, she waits for what the man named Chris was going to do, and who this Brian was...

Chris just nodded as Becca explained, taking the girl's bag and wand. He couldn't comprehend what Becca meant when she said that the girl named Liz was so obsessed with her work. Well, it wasn't his business after all. "Very well then. I shall bring her to St. Mungo's right away." He said to Becca as she finished giving him some instructions.

Chris then turned to the girl, smiling at her benevolently. He offered his hand for her to grasp on and he hoped the girl wouldn't mind if they use the floo network to reach the hospital much faster. "Don't worry. We'll be at St. Mungo's in no time." Muttered he, looking at the girl with a deep sympathy.

Looking back at Becca, and her little one, she whispers, "I'm sorry."

Watching Chris taking Liz's hand, Becca nodded and then looked around, wondering if Brian was hiding in a cubicle, helping someone with their work, or if he was in his office. "Chris, you HAVE to tell them she needs mental help, not physical help" Becca looked him in the eye.
"Liz will explain the rest to them, won't you?" she asked kindly to Liz before moving over and giving the woman a one armed hug "Calm down, breathe, and don't be sorry." she told her softly before pulling away and looking at her "It's me who should be saying it. Sorry, Liz." she smiled a little sadly, feeling ashamed of herself. "Now go get better." she encouraged her.

Mental help? But wait, the girl didn't seem to have a bipolar disorder nor any mental problems. She looked absolutely fine, or so he thought. He gazed upon Becca incredulously with his mind asking questions if the woman really had a mental problem or not but oh well, Becca said so. "I'll keep that in mind but err, would you mind if I ask about this poor woman's illness?" asked he with a probing look.
After a moment, Chris turned to the woman and glanced upon her sympathetically. "Don't worry. I'm sure the experienced healers of St. Mungo's can cure you whatever illness you may have."

Looking at Chris, Becca sighed softly. "She has a very unhealthy obsession with something my department contains, and she's very dependent on them to stay sane and happy. When I took them off her, she screamed, cried and sat on the floor. I can't have that in my department Chris, she was trying to take a few home with her. Even you know what belongs in Mysteries stays in Mysteries." Becca smiled sympathetically "So Liz needs to be helped, and that's why she's going to Mungo's." Becca finished, smiling at Chris and hoping he was satisfied with the explanation.

Listening as Becca explains to Chris...sorta, of what had happened. Not realizing how bad she had acted, she's a little surprised. But she knew, that when they were taken away it had hurt her a lot. Now she just felt exhausted from all the fighting.
Listening to Becca's calming voice, she wonders why Becca should be sorry. Frowning slightly, confused at the thought, and her apology, a tear escapes as Becca gives her a small hug.

Smiling kindly at Liz and then nodding to Chris, Becca heard a small cry from James and looked down into his Moses basket "Heyyy baby, daddy's not far away." She ran her finger over his cheek with a fond smile and shifted to pick him up from the basket and make the basket disappear so she could carry him easily. "Good luck, Liz. See you around hopefully." Becca smiled before heading off towards Brian's office with James in her arms, knowing Liz was in safe hands.

One would think that it would be near impossible to get lost in a straight corridor, but somehow Quentan managed to. A lonely ladybug crawling along one wall had caught his attention on Quent's way to the Work Area from Mr. Lee's office, and he followed it along, wondering just how it made its way into the Ministry, onto Level Eight, and just where it was going now.
A short time later - or a long time, who really knew as Quentan had completely lost track of time at this point - the Ministry worker realized that he had better be getting to work. He took his eyes off of the wandering ladybug to take a look around the corridor. Now where were those Work Areas again? He wasn't exactly sure, this being his first time to this level, so he took a few tentative steps forward, looking for the correct door, before turning around and backtracking, certain he must have passed it.
A short distance down the corridor made Quentan stop as he peered through a doorway, many cubicles lining that room. Surely that was the right door! Now who was he took look for again? A Ms. Olivia something. What was her last name? Quentan thought for a moment before realizing that Mr. Lee had just called her Ms. Olivia, leaving out her surname. Shrugging to himself, he walked into the room, glancing at the nameplates at each cubicle.
Walking through and catching a few of his co-workers names, he stopped at his apparent cubicle for a moment, grinning at his own name. He peered at his empty desk quickly before continuing on his journey for his supervisor. There would be plenty of time for him to enjoy his own workspace and decorate it all Quentan-like.
Oooh, finally! This must be it! he thought as he finally saw Olivia Hawthorne engraved on a nameplate. Unfortunately, Ms. Olivia was not at her desk at the present moment. Pouting slightly at this disappointing turn of events, Quentan decided it best to wait for her until her return. After all, it was his first day and he had not a clue about what he should do first. No, it was best to wait until Ms. Olivia was there so she could tell him. Resuming his normally cheerful grin, Quentan plopped himself down in Ms. Olivia's chair and waited for her return, inwardly squealing with excitement.

Chris strode into their work area, he had just come back from St. Mungo's. He hoped that the poor woman had been given medicines or any cures by now. As he entered, what he's seen were his co-workers of course, busily working on paperworks and such as other ones was chattering softly. He eagerly walked toward he and his co-division head's working tables and chairs. He was a bit wonder-struck when he just seen a man sitting on Olivia's chair. Well, that couldn't mean that the man was the new division head for Olivia didn't resign and would never resign he hoped.
"Ah! Hello there buddy, you must be a newly-hired employee in this department, aren't you?" He smiled at the guy amiably as he headed to his table briskly. Getting acquainted or friends with his co-workers was nice so it wouldn't hurt if he'd have a bit conversation with the new guy.
Olivia was reasonably happy after her visit to Mr Lee's office. He had assured her there would be new staff soon, and they wouldn't be overworked and under-staffed for too long.Having a fresh spring in her step, she was beginning to forget about the flu that was gripping her, and didn't seem like going away.Until she sneezed....
"Attttcccchhhooooooo"
"Urrgghhh." Blowing her nose on a tissue, she wandered back into the main office and over towards her desk.Where she stopped dead in her tracks, tissue still attached to her nose.Someone was sat in her chair, looking extremely happy.Had she been replaced and not told about it? Quirking an eyebrow, Olivia looked between the new man and Chris, who appeared to be talking to him.
"Good afternoon, Chris," she half smiled at him as she approached, "and I'm afraid we haven't met, but you're in my seat it seems.Olivia Hawthorne, Division Head of Maintenance...and you are...?" She gave a puzzled smile, and walked around her desk ready to swap places with him.
Chris tilted his head to Olivia who looked not okay as it seemed and with a tissue attached to her nose was just an indication that she might be sick. Oh, he thought that Olivia ought to consult a healer. Well, he would just leave it to her, let her decide what she wanted to do with her flu. Hehe.
"Good day, Olivia." He smiled at her back then he turned to look at the man who was still sitting on Olivia's chair. "Ah. I think he's a new employee of your division, he must have been waiting for you."

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Quentan spun around and around in Ms. Olivia's swivel chair, until he slammed his hands down on the desk causing him to stop suddenly. What a fun ride! he thought as the room seemed to go in circles around him.
A voice in front of him caused the newly appointed Ministry worker to look in the direction of the sound and try to focus his dizzy eyes on the man standing there. Well, he certainly didn't look like a Ms. Olivia... A brief look of confusion passed over Quent's face momentarily until he figured he was not Ms. Olivia, just someone else in the department. Resuming his normally cheerful expression, Quentan happily nodded the confirmation of the man's statement. Indeed he was a new hire. "Yes I am," he replied. "Quentan Fisher," he added, extending his hand. "Just transferred here from Level Nine... and waiting for Ms. Olivia to give me my very first assignment."
And speaking of... Quentan turned his head in the direction of a sneeze that seemed to be headed their way. The woman who apparently made the noise had just stepped into the office. Could it be? She did look like a Ms. Olivia...
Quentan grinned happily at her as she greeted the man apparently known as Chris and his smile got even broader as she introduced herself as Olivia Hawthorne. It really was her! "Oh, Ms. Olivia!" he exclaimed as he lept from her chair. "I'm Quentan Fisher... Mr. Lee sent me down here to start work right away. I've been patiently waiting here for your return."

Quill walked around the office unsure of where to go. There were nameplates all around sure but he didn't know anyone, so they would not help him! His amber eyes lingered on a random nameplate on one of the visible desks. Would he have a desk? OHHH would he have a nameplate!?!? The eighteen year old's smile grew. This place was so awesome.
Noticing around three people around a big desk, Quill looked around. Were...these people in charge? Well....they WERE at a big desk so they had to be right? He walked over to them, his smile shone on his face. "Er-hi...um.." His gaze landed on some guy who was spinning around in a chair. Wicked. "I am uh..new here? I was hired for Magical Maintenance." Shoould he introduce himself? Probably not...these people were in a conversation.

Ahhh, so Chris managed to answer her question before the new man did.No matter, it did appear that he was enjoying himself in her chair. She must admit, on the odd occassion she was on her own, she did that too. "I see," she smiled, sniffing into the tissue, before throwing it in the rubbish bin to the side of her desk. "Thanks Chris..."
Olivia gave the newcomer another quizzical gaze, and was about to speak to him again, when Emma entered the office.Giving her employee a wave and a quick "Hey!" she turned her attention back to the now still man.
Although he didn't appear to be still for very long.Jumping backwards slightly as he lept forwards, Olivia giggled at his enthusiatic response to her name.Ms Olivia? He'd certainly been talking to Mr Lee. "Urrr, lovely to meet you Quentan," she held out her hand for him to shake - the one that HADN'T been holding the tissue. "I must have just missed you in the corridor then, I was in Mr Lee's office myself not long ago," she smiled, and went around her desk now she could sit in her own seat again.Plonking herself down, she shuffled some of the files that had appeared on it.New staff files....lovely. "I must admit, I wasn't expecting new empolyee's so soon after asking...but it's lovely to have you here Mr Fisher, Quentan.I suppose you'd like a job to do?" Flicking through the paper, she came across the list of jobs she herself was going to complete. Most had already been ticked off... "Would you mind checking the stockroom for me? There is a clipboard hanging on the door with a full list of what should be there.I just need to know what we have to refill..." Olivia gave him a beaming smile, and awaited his response.
But then someone else appeared.Another NEW FACE! This was turning into an eventful day.
He seemed young, and quite nervous. And unsure whether to approach.Giving her best welcoming smile, Olivia stood back up and stretched out her hand to him. "Another for Maintenance? How wonderful, we're filling back up.I'm Olivia Hawthorne, your Division Head.Pleased to meet you, Mr....?" He hadn't yet said his name, but she was sure it would be in one of the files on her desk.Although which one, she wouldn't know until he - told her....
Emma gave another littke wave towards Olivia, giving the new people a quizzingly stare. It would be nice to see new faces in the office, new faces, new friends. She walked over to Olivia's desk and smiled at them all.
"Hey" She said smiling a Both of the new comers, "Im Emma Adams," She said introducing herself, she held her hand out to both smiling.
