The cat quickly jumped off the desk and out of the opening in the cubicle and quickly changed back in to Wyatt. Wyatt was a striking gentlemen. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, chiseled chin, standing at about 6' 0". He put out his hand and said "Nice to meet you. Sorry bout the inconveinence for some strange reason I like to roam about in my Animagi form and I am also a Metamorhphmagi." as his hair and eye color change.

Daria placed her hand in Wyatt's to shake it. "Well, nice to meet you Wyatt. I'm Daria." Daria looked up into Wyatt's eyes and smiled. He was rather tall compared to own 5' 2" frame. As she smiled, Daria pushed her dirty blonde hair out of her bright blue-green eyes. To her embarrassment, Daria's hair changed to a rather bright shade of red... she was definitely going to have to learn how to keep better control over her powers...

Alyssa was rather nervous to tell Olivia what she had to, but Alyssa was rather excited about the situation. "Well Olivia....I've been offered a division head postion on level 5 and I have accepted. Alyssa sighed and hoped that Olivia wasn't going to be too mad at her, but Alyssa was really looking forward to moving up in the ministry and this was her chance. "I'm really looking forward to this, and I hope you are not mad. I plan on going to Mr. Lee's office as soon as I finished telling you. But I thought I would let you know first." Alyssa looked up from the floor and into Olivia's eyes hoping she wasn't mad.

Oh.So she was leaving.

Olivia somehow could tell it was coming.She seemed to be the only person in the whole department that didn't want to leave.Nodding her head as she listened, Olivia sighed openly.She didn't mind Alyssa knowing of her disappointment, she wasn't one that could hold it in.Still, she offered her ex-employee a weak smile. "I'm sorry you're leaving, of course, I wish you weren't.But I also wish you well in your new post.When do you start?"

And then there were three.

*sigh*

Max listened as Olivia extended on the Fun house idea. "Alright. Sound good." he said.

Then there was a bunch of chatter as Emma walked in. He only caught a few words. He heard wedding, way too much excitment over wedding. Then Max sighed, Why can't people stay in one place.

Max leaned against the wall and crossed his arms. He could tell that olivia was not happy either with the low number of staff. "This department is shinking too quickly. Seems like the work load is increasing while our staff size is decreasing." he said three left. He wondered if they were going to get new members to their department soon.

"Is the Carnival still going or do you want to wait with that?" He asked maybe she wanted to wait til they got more staff to help out with planning and such.

Alyssa sighed, she knew that the work loud for the four of them was already at an extreme amount and now that she was leaving it left them with four. "I'm sorry every one, I love this department, and love working with all of you, but this is a great opportunity for me." Alyssa felt the need to explain herself because she felt like she was abdonding all of her friends. "I think you should go ahead with the fair, even if you only have 3 people, you could always get the security divison to help out with it." Alyssa pointed to the other level 8 workers that were now arriving, hoping that with them this minsitry fair would sitlle able to go forward. "I start tomorrow, I think Im' going to go tell Mr. Lee now....I'll be back in a few minuets and with that Alyssa picked up her hand bag and made her way toward the department head's office.

Emma smiled at her friend as she sceamed at her! She couldn't wait. "Thanks Alyssa" She said, smiling.

She turned to Olivia, "Hey Olivia, hey Max" She said to them, "Hey Olivia i have something to tell you" She quickly added to the division head.

She settled herself on the end of the nearest desk.

He nodded to the woman

Oh no what did she have to say? oh god. shes going to quit too. He just knows it. Man does today suck

"Good luck with it," Olivia smiled at Alyssa, in truth it was slightly forced.Not that she wished ill will to such a nice person, but her division was almost depleted now, and the work around the ministry remained the same.Maybe Mr Lee wouldn't mind helping out occassionally? "It is a great opportunity for you, yes," she walked back around to the front of her desk, catching Max's eye as she did so.He was voicing exactly what she was thinking, so she gave him a nod.

"We will be continuing to plan for the fair, certainly.It's a shame you won't be able to help us anymore Alyssa." A real shame considering it was her idea.Olivia smiled and nodded as she watched the woman depart for Mr Lee's office.

Sighing again, she settled in her chair just as Emma came up to her to talk.Max's face said it all.Not another one, please? "Good morning, Emma.Please tell me your news is good?" She raised her eyebrows and gave her a teasing grin.What a morning this was.

Emma smiled at Max as she looked at his face, she saw it drop. She shoke her head at him as she turned to Olivia, smiling.

"I know it's really short notice but im getting married tomorrow, i thought you'd like to know, and ask if you wanted to come" She giggled as she realished what they had thought she was going to say, "Im not leaving" She added smiling at them both.

Max's heart stopped racing, he was safe for now.

"Congratulations" Max said trying to keep his voice real, and happy. which really he wasnt. He never understood weddings.

Max was still releaved that she wasnt leaving. Because if she was then it would only be him and Olivia. And then it would only be a game to see who would crack and quit first. "That wouldnt be a fun game" he said aloud "Oops sorry, that was supposed to stay in my brain."he said Leaning back against the wall.

"So" he started looking at Olivia "what else do we need for the carnival" he thought for a few seconds "We need food stands, do we not?"

"Thanks Max" She simple said smiling his way, as she sat back down onto one of the desk's, not a very comfortable place to sit.

She looked at Olivia, before looking round for Alyssa. She was going to miss her. She turned back to her fellow work friends and started to add herself to the conversation.

Alyssa had returned to her desk and began to pack away everything that she had just recently put up from the move. She gave a heavy sigh as she signed the regsination paper from the department. "I can help finish planning for the day." Alyssa added as she turned around to face the rest of the group. "Of course we need food stands Max. I think we already agreed on cotton candy, but hamburgers and fries, hot dogs, a soda foutain." Alyssa was just rambling off all the things she had seen at fairs over the years. "Pizza, is always a big hit as well."

Another wedding? How lovely, how wonderful, how....utterly depressing.At this rate Olivia was going to turn into the old spinster of level 8.Not even a boyfriend in sight.Sigh.But she was genuinely happy for Emma.Beaming at the woman, Olivia clapped her hands together. "That's fantastic, Emma.Congratulations! I'll certainly try and make it tomorrow.Add it to my diary now." Scribble, scribble.Admittedly most of her diary was taken up with planning for the fair.A social flower she certainly wasn't.However she was happy that she wasn't losing ANOTHER of her employees.A fact which Emma seemed to have noted. "Glad to hear that," she added with a grin.

And back to business.She nodded confirmation to Max, that yes indeed, they would have food stalls, and was just trying to remember what ones she used to frequent when Alyssa came back from Mr Lee's office.Still full of ideas.And already, it seemed, in full Division Head flow.Olivia pursed her lips as Alyssa rattled off all the food stands they would need.Yes to all of them, or a combination of them, and she wrote it all down, just listening.Resting her quill back down on the desk, Olivia folded her hands across her stomach and smiled. "It's lovely that you want to continue to help, Alyssa, but believe me, it takes alot of preperation when you accept a division head position.I'm sure you have alot to do before you start tomorrow, so please if you wish to, go ahead and do that.We need to get used to not having you around to help after all," she winked, not meaning her words to sound harsh.It was the truth, though, promotion wasn't easy....as she well knew.

"Thanks Olivia. For everything!" Alyssa gave her former boss a quick hug and sighed, this was it, her last time in the office as an employee. "Well here I go!" Alyssa smiled at everyone, took one long lasting look around the office that she had grown to love, she turned opened the office door and left, ready to start her new job.

Oh Alyssa was back. And the next thing he knew she went off talking about all types of food they needed. Then made a mental note, Funnel Cake.But then Olivia was talking to Alyssa. A he left he nodded to her. He didnt need a promotion. He was fine where he was, being a leader just wasn't his thing. Sure a bit of extra pay wouldn't hurt, but he lived comfortably. Well, he lived well enough for himself. He didnt need anyone right now, he could wait a few more years

"Bye Alyssa!" She called after her best friend, and first real friend at her new work. She ran and quickly gave her a hug, she had tears in her eyes as she watched her leave. Quickly wiping them away she turned back to her friends, smiling.

Max thought for a few minutes afetr Alyssa left. Another person down doesn't mean they can fall behind in planning and their regular duties. He straightened himself up off Olivia's cubicle wall, thinking that he should probably go for his daily cleaning. "I'll go start my clean up round. Hopefully nothing bad." he said "You need anything Olivia?" he asked as he started for the exit.

Ohhh she was being hugged.That didn't happen very often.Olivia felt the air squeezed out of her as Alyssa said her thanks and goodbyes. "Oh, you're welcome.Good luck down there," with a smile she watched as one of her best employee's went out of the room.

What? Oh yes, work.Olivia looked up as Max spoke about daily routines, and she nodded. "Uhhh," she looked around her desk to see if any special requirements were...required.Nope, nothing right that minute. "No important things right now, Max, thank you.If you wish to leave the fountain though, I can get to that when I'm done here.No need for you to do all the horrible jobs," she laughed, giving a wink as she picked up her quill and finished making a note of all the food stalls they needed.

John sighed as he looked around his cubical. The office sure had changed since he had last been here... Now they even had cubicles. He unpacked his lunch, which included a well made sandwich containing bacon and ham, a thermos of heated ghillie water, and a dessert of chocolate pie formed into a nice slice. He sighed as he shuffled through the paperwork on his desk as he took a lonesome bite from his sandwich. The faces have changed, I really should be around more....

He polished off the sandwich as he glanced over a dossier, which he had filed in concordance with security proticals, on one of his friends in the Ministry, Blackstone Martimus, who worked with the Magical Law Enforcement part of the Ministry. He skimmed over it quickly, and found no complaints. The only major incident described in the file was a scuffle that Blackstone and himself had gotten into with several other patrons in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, which had turned very violent, and had gotten out of hand and had only been resolved by the timely arrival of Catastrophe Destiny Kerr, whom John hadn't seen in months...

She was nice, and quite calm under fire... I wonder what happened to her...

John flipped to Catastophe's dossier, and opened it. The latest entry on it was many months ago, and she hadn't been updated in months. John looked up and fidgeted a bit, as always, uncomfortable sitting in a chair for long. He preferred to be out on patrol, or talking. He checked to make sure his wand was secure in his wrist holster, took a sip of Ghillie water and looked around.

Olivia pushed open the door to the office, paperwork bundled up in left hand and under her chin, and bag slung over her shoulder.The fair really needed to be finalized, and she had so much stuff to catch up on.Illness was not a great help to people who are in charge of things.She just hoped that they had coped in her absence.Not that she thought any of her workers were incapable of doing so, it's just she really hated not being there to help.

Coughing behind her spare hand, she dumped all the stuff on her desk and made her way around to her seat.Her eyes were still puffy, and her nose still sore and blocked, but Olivia swore that she would make the effort to come in to work.Even if the flu killed her.Luckily her mothers home made chicken soup was safely in a flask in her bag, ready for her to have throughout the day.

"Now then....paperwork," she mumbled, picking up a quill and starting to scribble on some forms.

Max looked around the ministry before walking back towards the Maintenance office. Walking down the hall, he reached door to the office. Slowly straightening his robes he took a deep breath and opened the door.

Max walked towards his cubicle, every time he passed one he would look inside to see who was sitting there, since this might be the last time he comes in here. Max reached his cubicle, but didnt enter as he passed it. He flicked his wand, and the few books on his desk, packed themselves away in a box underneath his desk. Putting his wand back in his pocket, Max made his way towards Olivias desk.

Reaching the womans cubicle, he peered around it. Alright, she was there. But she didnt look to good. Probably a bad time to tell her. But he had to. Walking in he immidiatly asked "Olivia, could I have a word with you?" Of all the peple in this office, which weren't that many, he never thought that he would be leaving. It would be bad if they couldnt find a replacement for him. Which they probably would, but if they didnt. Then there would only be two people in the department.

AAAACHHHHOOOOO

Olivia sneezed harder than she thought she was going to, and her ears popped.Shaking her head and swallowing, she tried to clear them, but when it didn't work she went to the tried and tested method of holding her nose and blowing.Always worked on planes.

Wiping her nose with a tissue, she went back to her writing until she heard a familiar voice.Looking up in surprise she saw Max stood in front of her.Smiling weakly, she placed her quill down and folded her hands on the desk. "Good morning, Max.Of course you can, what's up?" Surely not what she thought it was going to be? Her employees only ever seemed to want to "talk" when they were going to tell her they were leaving.

MAJOR COMPLEX.

Oh, Geez... she was definently ill. Her sneeze made him jump a little.

Okay, just go right out and say it. Just do it! But it seemed like Olivia already knew what was coming. She'd been losing employees so much, it was probably instinct by now to know "Well..." oh come on its not that hard, just say it. "I'm...the works' getting to me, with only three of us left in the department. I just cant take it anymore." Okay so get to the point "I'm leaving." He said simply. "I'm sure that Brian will find a replacment." alright its over. "I...I just need sometime for myself. Think about where I'm going to be for the rest of my life." Okay STOP thats done with. Max stepped back a bit and waited.

Max looked worried.And Olivia couldn't tell if that was because what he had to tell her was hard, or he didn't want her flu.Either way she was about to find out...

Work getting to him? Ohhhh, here we go.Olivia inwardly sighed and lowered her head.She knew it was coming.Knew he was going to say something like this, but she still flinched when the ACTUAL words came out of his mouth. "I see," she mumbled, twiddling her thumbs together as she tried to think of something to say. "I know it's been hard, and I'm sorry for that.I'm also sorry to be losing you." She meant it to.Max may have occassionally seemed to be lazy, but he got his work done and that is all she cared about.

"I guess another trip to see Mr Lee is in order, see if I can secure some more help," she smiled wearily at the man stood before her.Holding out her hand (her clean one) Olivia waited to shake Max's. "Good luck with everything, Max.And thank you for all your hard work here..."
