"Me too." Jayden said. "It's nice to meet people outside of apparition." he said. Before he only knew Ingrid. And now he was getting to know the whole department.

Theron hid under his desk. Were the fireballs over and done with? "IS IT OVER WITH?" he shouted. He felt like he caused enough damage by making it multiply. Theron heard a familiar voice, it was Ingrid. "I don't know, but I don't plan on opening any more drawers any time soon." Theron didn't know if he could stand, his eyes were closed tight. He wasn't used to this kind of magic. His fellow employees probably thought he was a coward, but he only recently really re-entered the wizarding world. How on earth was he supposed to know how to get rid of a raging fireball?

Liliana walked into her new office. It looked... nice. Quite crowded though. She made her way over to the desk with her name on it and sat down. She wondered what she was meant to be doing.....

After having a delightful meal with the Senior Undersecretary at the Muggle Cafe across the street, Armen walked into the Transportation Office happily bouncing over to his desk. Before he had made it there, he had passed by the employees' desks and saw a face that he was not so familiar with; one he had never seen to be honest.

He walked over to the woman and stood by her desk for a second and looked at her name plaque sitting on the edge of her desk and it rang a bell in his head but he just couldn't place it. Oh now he had it! It was off of the memo Mr. Thumbell had gave them concerning new employees.

A new employee!!! He smiled excitedly as he cleared his throat and spoke to her. "Well hello there! Welcome to Level 6, I am Armen Recard, Division Head of Portkeys, its so nice to meet you!" he held out his hand to shake her's.

Liliana looked around to see a man.
'Oh, hello!' she said 'I'm Liliana Adrienne Bones. Nice to meet you!' she said, shaking his hand

Armen shook the woman's hand enthusiastically; it wasn't everyday you got a new employee to Level 6. Things had been quiet around here recently. He smiled as she introduced herself. She had a very nice name. "Well Ms. Bones, do you mind if I call you Liliana? I always like to call the employees around here by first names, things are too formal nowadays." he chukled as he began to talk faster as he got more excited and hyper.

Then something dawned on the Portkey Divison Head as he had been rambling on. "Oh I forgot to ask. What Divison are you in dear? I don't recognize you as one of my new ones." he said biting the inside of his cheek as he tried to recall, without much luck, the name of his new employee from the memo.

Royce was nervous. And that was unusual for her. She liked to have command of her emotions and the situation, but this was nerve racking for her. She had never had a job before.

She felt overdressed in her white babydoll dress and strapy heels, but her closet didn't contain anything else. She took a deep breath getting off the lift and walking into her new cubicle.

'No, you can call me that, that's fine' she smiled at the man 'I'm in the Apparations Office' she told him

Armen smiled as he leaned against Liliana's desk, one of his legs crossing the other at his ankle. "Well that's just wonderful Liliana!" he piped up as she mentioned she was new to the Apparation Divison. "You know I started out in there? Spent quiet awhile as a matter of fact testing people for the licenses." the 31 year-old sighed. "But of course when I was offered a Division Head position I was definately up for it, even if it meant Portkeys which I just find fascinating by the way." he winked at her. Armen had the qualities of a socialite and really loved to meet and talk to new people. He didn't mind the attention either.

Armen had been talking to Liliana when he heard someone leave the lifts and walk swiftly behind him to the desk next to where the employee in front of him had occupied. He would have missed the new stranger had she not bumped her purse into his back when she hurried by.

Armen turned around to see the running addition to the office and his eyes met those of an attractive woman who looked quite nervous. He looked at her as he thought of what to say and as he waited he noticed she definately had a taste for fashion. He smiled at her as he stepped a few feet over to her until his hands and the cuffs of his grey Armani suit brussed the top of her desk.

He grinned slightly, showing his white teeth. "You know running in an office can be dangerous." he said with a playful grin.

Royce didn't even notice that she had bumped into anyone she was in such a hurry to get to her desk and make sure it was real and this wasn't a practical joke Kady might have been playing on her.

She looked up at the man who spoke to her. Her brown eyes twinkling at the joke he made. "Oh I am so sorry," she told him her brown face flushing with embarrassment. She saw that he was smiling but still it was nice to apologize when you nearly knock someone down with your purse.

Ingrid stepped out of the lift on level 6 carrying a menagerie pamphlet about pets. It was high time that she got herself a pet now that she was single and with no men on the horizon. Absorbed in the folder the dark haired division head contiuned well into the cubicles area before she even noticed the two new employees or Armen. Noticing them she felt a bit embarrassed. Putting the folder away she plastered on a smile as to hide her awkwardness saying to both of the newcomers "Welcome to Level 6! I'm Ingrid Johansson. Head of Apparition." Turning to look at Armen she said "Afternoon Armen!"The memo from Christian about the new employees were still lying in her inbox tray unread. Being busy and away from the office had unfortunatley left her bit out of the loop.

Royce nearly jumped at the new woman who was talking rather loudly to just be introducing herself. "Thank you ma'am. Royce Norwood. New Broom Regulator," she told her giving her a smile. It was easy to smile in this office everyone seemed to be nice and they were certainly entertaining. Royce had been afraid they might be really stuffy and no fun at all. And working in that sort of environment would have drive her straight up the wall. Literally.

Hang on! This new person was wearing the same Manolos as her! Well, that just wouldn't do! Luckily, Liliana was a prepared person, and had bought an extra outfit, in case something like this happened.

Relieved to finally be working again, Valeria Knowling strolled into the extensive room with a feeling of preparedness. Upon locating the area of cubicles designated for Broom Regulatory Control, she settled herself in a desk and surveyed her surroundings. It seemed relatively slow in the department, and she groaned inwardly at this. She craved distraction and wished to bury herself in a project or assignment. My mind rebells at stagnation. Give me work. Give me problems, she thought and smiled at the quote. She wondered what she'd be doing now if she were still across seas, if things hadn't have changed. She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. This was the very reason she needed distraction. Too much had happened and she needed to stay focused on something. Jack, her son, had helped her focus on the positive. She was so grateful for a son like him, but he would be off to school soon, and she couldn't bear being alone. She reopened her eyes and silently vowed to think nothing more on the subject. She would make sure to keep this workplace unsoiled by her discouraging thoughts. She would just have to find something to work on...

Laura had been straightening up around her work area. She pushed some papers and files off to the left and aligned her quill next to them. Neat was the desk of someone who wanted to get work done. She nodded. This would do for now.

Being absorbed in what she was doing, Laura didn't notice when several people entered the room. Soon, the new voices she heard registered and she looked up. One woman caught her attention easily when she heard her mention that she was one of her new employees! Pleased, Laura bounced down over to where she stood with Ingrid.

"Hello Ingrid," she said, nodding to the other division head. Turning to the new employee, Laura smiled in welcome. "And hello to you! Did I hear correctly? Are you a new Broom Regulatory employee?" she asked. Well, she knew the answer to that question! Laura offered her a hand to shake. "My name is Laura Miller. I am the broom regulatory division head."

Noticing yet another person stroll into the room, Laura watched as the woman made her way across to the Broom Regulatory desks. Another new employee! Laura walked on over to her. "Hello there. Welcome to the department," she said with a smile. The woman looked like she needed one. "I'm Laura Miller, division head of broom regulatory control."

Liliana ran back in, having now changed her outfit.
'I'm back' she said sweetly to Armen 'Did I miss anything?'

Armen grinned again at the woman before him and ran a hand across his forehead dramatically. "Well you did near knock me down, but I guesss I can forgive you." he sat down on the edge of her desk and reached his hand out, waiting to shake her's.

"Let me guess you are... Ms. Norwood." he said with one eye squinted closed as he thought hard to remember the list of new Level six employees. He had met one of them already and was down to only a few more names so he just picked one hopefully he was right. "I am Armen Recard, Divison Head of Portkeys. What Division are you in?" he asked her curiously.

Armen looked up from the two new women at the desks where he was standing at the sound of another person entering the work area. It was the co Division Head he had worked with the longest out of the four. "Nice of you to finally join us Ingrid!" he joked with his friend. As she got nearer to them and finally stopped beside him to introduce herself Armen nodded at the Menagerie pamphlet she had just stuck behind another folder. "You thinking about a pet Ingrid?" he asked her curiously. "Anything in particular you are wanting?"

He then nodded quickly back at Liliana's desk and whispered so only he and Ingrid could hear. "That one's your's." so that she knew right off the bat.

Armen turned back to the first woman he was talking to as she asked about what her new job had in store for her. "Well," he began excitedly as he messed with a silver cuff link on his suit. "Ingrid will be able to tell you more than me, because I was never an administrator of that Division, but I can tell you somethings I enjoyed. We got to test individuals who had not recieved their license yet and we also got to teach Hogwarts students lessons once a few terms back when the Headmaster agreed for us to visit." he remembered that year vividly. "But it has been quite a while since I have been in that Division and Frankly me and Ingrid don't really talk about the daily things in each our own divisions. we just speak of the things concering both of them." he chuckled, perhaps they should start talking more about work stuff so he knew what was going on in Apparation.

He then waited as the woman clearly decided to change her clothes. He didn't see a problem in what she was wearing but she was a woman and he had guessed they needed to change clothes alot. Man he was out numbered here.


Armen smiled when Laura, the newest addition to the Division Heads on the level and his past best employee, arrived and joined them. "Good morning Laura! How are you?" he greeted her warmly.

'Oh, ok, I shall make sure to ask her at some point' said Liliana 'But teaching at Hogwarts sounds fun.' she looked at the clock on her desk 'Oh, look' she said 'It's lunch time! Do you want to go and grab some food, Armen, Royce, Ingrid, Laura?' she asked

If Royce was shocked it didn't register on her pretty face. It was a fashion disaster that she was wearing the same outfit as someone else. It was a shock that someone else at the Ministry could afford a $1,200 outfit. But Royce was more impressed and more inclined to invite the girl to a shopping trip more than she was to rush off and change outfits. She smiled and nodded as the girl dashed off with a bag slung over her arm.

Her head bobbed around as yet another person walked over to the fastly increasing group. It was her boss! Royce quickly fixed another smile on her face. Not that it was a fake smile. Royce was generally a happy girl. She had every reason to be happy. "Yes Ms. Miller. I guess I am one of your new Broom Regulators," she told her holding out her hand for a shake.

He was funny and she liked a guy with a good sense of humor. It made the day go by a lot faster. "Oh well thank you for your forgiveness," she smiled. She took his hand in hers and gave him a firm hand shake. Her father always told her to give a strong handshake. And she always did. Her father always gave her good advice. She nodded. "Yes that would be me. Royce Norwood." She watched him as his eyes did this funny little dance as it looked like he was trying to digest his breakfast. "I'm a Broom Regulator." she smiled at him.

Royce didn't even know it was lunchtime. In the States lunchtime was around one o'clock. But she guessed it was different in the UK. "Well I'm game for something to munch on," she said.

Liliana looked Royce up and down
'I love your shoes' she said, having just changed hers 'They're Manolo, right? I've got the same ones' she smiled

Royce giggled, "Well it seems me and you need to go shopping together." she told Liliana. They were kindred spirits in the art that was shopping. It was a close knit sisterhood that spanned culture and age. She wiggled her foot. "Yes they are. My favorite pair of strapy heels," she loved those shoes almost as much as she loved her fiance.

'I think we do' she agreed 'I'm Liliana Adrienne Bones, by th way' she said, realising she hadn't introduced hersef

Valeria looked up at the division head. "Ah, pleasure to meet you, ma'am. I'm Valeria Knowling." she smiled, "You have no idea how much this job means to me. I'm fully prepared to work. I've been in this area of work before, so I shouldn't be too much of a nuisance." She was nearly insane; she loved work. It felt so relieving to finally be back in a work environment after so many family dilemas had occupied her team. "I can hardly wait to start working." Yes, she must sound insane.

Laura laughed a little as she shook her hand. "Laura, please," she said. Everyone in the transportation department was mostly on a first-name basis. The workplace was a bit too formal for her taste otherwise. "It's nice to see a fresh new face in the division so early into my division headship, Miss..." Laura paused, thinking back to the memo she had received from Mr. Trumbull about new employees. Since there had been more than one, she took a stab at it, hoping that she had gotten the right name. "... Norwood?" She smiled hoping for the best.

Laura smiled broadly. Yes! Someone who was enthusiastic to start working. "Great! It's nice to meet you, Valeria. Don't mind if I call you that, do you?" she asked. Hopefully she didn't. "So, you say you've worked in transportation before, have you? That's wonderful. You probably don't have much to ask, in that case, but if you do just give me a shout." The woman greatly reminded Laura of herself on her first day. She had been more nervous, but enthusiastic to start nonetheless.

Royce nodded glad to have at least started on what promised to be a good friendship. "Royce Norwood," she answered back realizing that she hadn't introduced herself either. "So where are you from?" she asked her. Hearing the word food had set her stomach thinking about a nice mixed green salad with warm chicken and now she was a bit hungry.

Royce was glad that everyone was so friendly and nonchalant about the workplace. She had heard horror stories about how uptight British people could be ad she hadn't been looking forward to starting work, but now she wanted to let loose a gigantic sigh of relief. "Thank you Laura and you can call me Royce. Everyone does." she smiled. Well most of her family called her RoRo but she wasn't about to tell them that at work. "I hear the Bulgarian quidditch team is riding on some new brooms for the Cup. Do we get to check them out before they take them on a test run?" She was excited about getting to work with quidditch players. She really wished she could take her family to a game but all the anti-muggle protections about the game site make that impossible.
