Drago walked into the work area to pick up something from his desk and stopped. It was like there was a disturbance in the force. (Yeah, I'm geeking out a bit.) There was a kneazle in the room. Glaring he looked about to spot it.
"Whoa! Whoa whoa whoa!" Torio really wasn't sure what he was 'whoaing'. It was a mix between a "That's okay about the coffee, I completely understand", "please stop pointing your wands at me and casting spells", "thank you for the spells and help but I don't know your names", and "WAIT, DON'T ENTICE POLTY AGAIN!".
It was a debate as to which one won out in the end as well when he gave a smile to the lady that had tripped, a nod to the woman with the wands, and a frantic wave of his hands in front of himself all at the same time. Perhaps it was better to start recognizing logic action once again from the point of his last movement. Of course that had been to jump after the poltergiest and wrap his arms around her from behind in a playful hug; one that let her know he was okay and he hadn't forgotten about her.
"Hey hey, Polty!" He grinned, rocking back and forth with her; though he had to admit, such an encompassing gesture was a might hard to maintain with a ghost. "I'm okay. It's okay. Just a bit of coffee. Apparently it wanted to join in on the tag-game as well. How about we just take a break for a moment and catch our breaths?"
His eyes flicked to the woman that had cast a configo spell at the poltergiest, his eyes silently asking her and her friend to stay their wands for the moment. He hadn't run up and down the Ministry's hallways just to have the ghost return to her former path of chaos and destruction. Letting out a heavy breath he rested his forehead on the ghost's shoulder, trying to extend some of the calm he found within to her; trying to ake her feel safe and noticed.
Hanna lowered her wand and smiled ruefully at him. She turned her head towards the poltergeist and grinned at her, showing her that Hanna was not going to try and hurt her at all. No, she wasnt one to hurt a creature of any kind. "Im Hanna." said the Icelandic witch, holding out her hand to the coffee-covered wizard and giving him a welcoming smile.
Something flew past her head, a brightly colored something to be exact. Not an owl at all. No, certainly not an owl. I had a sorta fierce look to it, but the bright colors and the odd contrast it had make it look sorta cute at the same time. The tail of the Fwooper whipped Hanna on the face, and the Fwooper itself landed softly on Hanna's arm. "Oooo! Hi Birdie!" said Hanna, knowing in full mind it was far from being a bird of any kind.
Do you know what you got in to? So many colors leave me blind
Adam made entered the new office and made his way towards one of the unclaimed desk next to a window. He ducked out of the way of something that flew by his head as he crossed the room. This new setup was definately different from what he was use to. He sat down at his cubicle and took a minute to get his new desk all sorted out.

A kneazle who likes water, that was a first. He grined at the thought of her kneazle swiming around in a lake like a crup."I have a raven named Marigold, had her for a few years now." He motioned his head over to his cubicle where the raven was perched sleeping soundly, despite all the cayos that was ensuing. "Though maybe I should get a kneazle seeing how this one likes me so much." Nikos glanced down at the kneazle who was purring in his arms as he stroked her, wondering if he could take her instead of buying one.
"Yes," Misty said with a nod. It would be better to go now, as it was fresh in their minds. Too bad she didn't know anyone from the Department of Magical Security. They would back her and Nikos up, right? It was wrong for that man to put a doxy in his pocket and then act like nothing happened.
She turned her head as her motioned his raven. "She is beautiful." Which was no lie there. Misty always thought about getting some type of bird, but never did. Not with her kneazle around. He wasn't friendly towards other animals, especially birds. Turning back to Nikos, she smiled at what he said. "Well, she seems to like you. A kneazle is a great animal." Would they notice if Nikos took her? Why were they here anyway??

"Efxaristo" He said without away from the kneazle, few apriciated his raven's beauty so he loved it when she recieved positive comments. He was seriously considering taking the kneazle back home with him, it would be much cheaper than buying one and they did seem to have a tight bond. Sighing softly he finally looked up to Misty. "Well, I'm ready to go when you are." To prove his point, he hesitantly placed the kneazle on the floor and watched her walk over to his desk, making herself comfortable on his chiar, before turning to Misty with a smile.

Derfel looked up as the commotion passed; perhaps he should have helped? But there were too many bodies over there for another to be worth anything.
He would wait until Torio felt the poltergeist was willing to be subdued before acting himself, wondering if a petrifying spell would work.
Wondering if his division head would have a book on the subject, he stood and approached her, "Apologies ma'am, my knowledge of poltergeists isn't what it should be. Do you have any books on them I could borrow?"

Rinatta was a bit confused as the young wizard let out a 'whoa whoa whoa' then smiled at her, nodded, and waved his arms in front of him. She gave a slightly embarassed smile in return. Rin backed up a little way away from the young wizard and the poltergist he was soothing. She transfigured her heels to boots and gave a little sigh of relief. No more wearing heels to work for you, never know when a sneaky kneazle will cross your path now. She holstered her wand and watched with a small smile as he was, strangely enough, hugging the poltergist. It was really cute to Rin, especially his remark of the coffee just wanting to join in, but she was hopefully that it calm the poltergist. When she was calm again, she would suggest he bring her to see the cloak closet. After, that might be a fun and calming place for her. Then after this was handled, she would properly introduce herself to her employees, she still owed one lunch to speak with her boss, and she had decided that she was buying this young man lunch when it was all said and done.

Wondering if his division head would have a book on the subject, he stood and approached her, "Apologies ma'am, my knowledge of poltergeists isn't what it should be. Do you have any books on them I could borrow?"
Rin turned around as she heard an employee addressing her and smiled warmly at his question. He was an intersting looking fellow that seemed familiar.....oh , she had seen him at the meeting when she had first arrived. He seemed relatively quiet and it pleased her that he had addressed her."As a matter of fact, I happen to have quite a few luckily." she said brightly. Taking out her wand she summoned a large compendium to herself. "I would say that this is my best one. In actuality, poltergists are not my speciality either, but I do have a lot of experience with them." she said warmly."If you happen to have any questions that this compendium does not encompass, please don't hesitate to ask me." she added with a nod of her head. "Oh yes, introductions." she said as it had slipped her mind, though she still kept an eye upon the poltergist. "Rinatta Cross ,it is a pleasure." she said offering him her hand, sparing him her attention with a smile before yet again glancing to make certain her other employee was still alright.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The poltergist made ready to rampage again, but she stopped in her tracks as her playmate encompassed her in a hug. As he spoke to her, she began to calm back down and rocked with him. As he leaned his head on her shoulder and breathed the poltergist turned around and ,now facing him, mimmicked his actions. She encompassed him and leaning her see through forehead against him, breathed onto his shoulder. The poltergist was smiling and it seemed that copycat was the new game.
Nessa gave the man a weak smile and lowered her wand. [b]"She turned to him, momentarily letting go of her ankel. "Hi, I'm Nessa." she lowered her wand. Mabey the poltergeist wouldn't bite her again if she put her wand away. She put it in her back pocket and nodded. So far so good.

"Pleasure to meet you. I'm Torio and this is..." He tilted his head a little to look up at the ghost, chewing his bottom lip slightly in contemplation. "Well, for now we call her Polty."

He was about to tease the Poltergiest about still not having given him a name to work with, when she turned around and hugged him back. Slightly startled at the action, Torio blinked a moment before he felt the cool breath of the spirit ghost over him. A brief moment of sickening memory washed through his gut before it was replaced by the warmth and relief of the ghost's embrace.
Wrapping his arms a little tighter, a little bit more encompassing around her, he rested his head against hers and rubbed small circles on her invisible back with one hand. His heart went out to whatever had happened to this woman to make her as she was; an unsettled being who seemed to enjoy the pain of others, perhaps so she wouldn't have to face her own. His hand reached up and soothed her hair as he continued to rock her, humming a gentle tune that his mother used to sing to him when he was a child, catching his breath. If need had it, he would run up and down the ministry several more times to calm the ghost.

He immediately began to flick through the book.
Rinatta smiled warmly as he introduced herself and nodded."You are very welcome. I am most pleased to have you in my department Mr. Cadarn." she said politely. She smiled happily at the man's enthusiasm, it made her happy to have eager employees. Especially when they evoked memories of when she tutored.
Rinatta gave a warm smile as she watched to poltergist give the young man a hug. He comforted her by rubbing her back and humming. He would make a good mother...er father...Rin why are thinking things like that!? she silently berated herself for her wandering mind. "I needed to drink that coffee not drench him in it." she said to herself and sighed. She felt awful about being a klutz, she just really never wore heels or dressed much like a girl. She just now started wearing dresses more than just for weddings or funerals. Makeup was a completely new thing, she had no idea how cook. Heck , she couldn't do more than make tea or coffee and boil water. The fact embarrased her a bit and she tried not to speak of it. She would never make a good house wife, not without an extreme amount of practice. Being inside so much anymore was driving her stir crazy. She smiled at the pair, they so cute, almost like a pair of kids. She looked calm enough now. Rin started to walk towards them slowly, watching whom the young wizard had dubbed 'polty', making certain not to upset her. She kept enough distance though and gave a soft warm smile. " I know...of somewhere fun you could go.." she offered keeping enough distance for her to still be comfortable.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The poltergist mimicked Torio yet again and rubbed small soothing circles on his back and rocked with him. It took her a moment and a few failed attempts but she mimicked his humming too. She seemed utterly placid now, almost in a trance with him. She looked up as the young woman approached her but stayed with her playmate, looking as though she wanted to comfort him as much as he was her. She liked the humming and hummed his tune very melodically. It sounded much better than her shrieks.

A surge of emotion flooded through him at the poltergiest's actions. Although to the bystanders it would appear as if she was merely immitating him on his actions, he knew different. No one, spirit or otherwise, could immitate the emotion and sincerity of sound as she was with her humming. There was something deep and moving about the way her voice carried, about how it echoed against his chest. All of a sudden, he felt like he was no longer the one calming or comforting and that somewhere along the ways the roles had been reversed.
When a woman spoke closer to them, he opened his eyes slowly, cursing the tears that had gathered at the corners of his eyes. The small smile that came across his lips said that he acknowledged her and was grateful, but he desired another moment. With that, he closed his eyes again and rested his forehead on the ghost's shoulder, letting what had settled deep within his core be moved by her.
It was after a few more minutes that he finally found the voice and the will to speak past the silence of the moment; and even then, it was barely more than a whisper. "Did you want to check out that 'fun' place, polty?"

Continuing to rock with his arms still around the poltergiest and his chin on her shouler, Torio gave both women a relieved and warm smile. "Nessa, Hanna." He nodded a little to each of them in turn. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Torio and this is..." He tilted his head a little to look up at the ghost, chewing his bottom lip slightly in contemplation. "Well, for now we call her Polty."
Hanna smiled kindly at him as the scene unfolded before her. She swiftly moved the Fwooper onto her right arm, smiling at it as she patted the feathers. "C'mon Birdie." Hanna murmured to the colorful bird and walked inside her cubicle. The Fwooper immediately hopped off her arm and landed softly on the top of her wheelie chair. Hanna looked up the ticking clock that was overtop of her head, and noticed that it was just about her lunch break.
Hanna gathered up her stuff, let the Fwooper fly out of her cubicle and walked towards the exit of the Ministry.

Rinatta watched as the poltergist mimicked the young wizard's actions. But when she hummed with him, having to attempt a few times before getting it right...it seemed like more than that. The humming, was not only mimickery, it seemed to have feeling and meaning in it. Or at least, it felt that way to Rin. There was a bond between the pair now, their game of tag had been much more than that. It was a way of acknowledging each other and learning a bit about each other, it was a bonding experience. The same way children grow to understand each other, they seemed to calm and gain some understanding from each other.
Rin watched as he slowly opened his eyes, she saw the glisten and then a small smile. She returned his smile with a soft, warm one and patiently waited as they shared a moment that was beautiful to her. The comfort and understanding that they seemed to exchange was a very moving thing to behold and Rin felt it in her own heart.

The poltergist was a picture of perfect serenity now as she held her playmate in a warm embrace. She hummed her tune into him, it seemed as though she was speaking to him through the sound. She held him and hummed for a good while and when he spoke she looked to his eyes. She didn't let go or stop humming to him, she simply nodded at his question.

She held him and hummed for a good while and when he spoke she looked to his eyes. She didn't let go or stop humming to him, she simply nodded at his question.
Torio was still amazed by the change in the spirit that embraced him. Where once she had been shrieking and laughing as she sent objects on dangerous trajectories towards his fellow employees, now she was a being of serene calm; of peace. The beauty of it and longing for that same peace made his core ache, made the tears more threatening. But a long time spent in the company of such beings as this one, and of ones more deeply scarred, held them at bay.
Giving the poltergiest a small smile at her nod and a small, final hug, he let his arms fall from around her, instead taking one of her near-invisible hands. He briefly wondered what her hands had caressed in the world of the living; a lover, childern, a family? He wondered if they would be able to show her that she could hold things once again; that not everything had slipped through her fingers.
"Alright," his voice still came as barely more than a whisper, hindered by the constriction in his throat. He caught sight of Nessa and Hanna leaving, giving them both a small smile as he spoke to the ghost. "This lovely lady is going to show us where this fun place is." He turned his small smile to the woman that had suggested it, giving her a grateful nod of the head before redirecting his eyes to the poltergiest, his smile widening a little. "And, if it's alright with you, I would like to walk on this journey. I believe we have both had enough running to last us a good month."

Drago had finally gathered everything he needed and slipped out of his cubicle, looking around warily. He knew the kneazle was still in here. He could sense it. He looked up to see others there, as well as a bloody poltergiest. What was happening to this place? He made his way toward the door, looking more suspicious than he ever had in his life... After all the things he had done, he was still terrified of kneazles. Even he could never explain that.

Rinatta sat patiently looking down at her feet trying to give them a moment of peace as best she could. The poltergist was now calm and under control so there was no need to rush or anyone to be upset. Many of the employees had left for lunch, but she and her employee needed to make certain that 'polty' was indeed calm enough to leave their attentions. Rin wondered what had brought this woman to her current state. Why did she pass from life? What caused her enough discontentment to become a poltergist? Why did she feel the need to remain in this realm? Would she herself have become one if something had happened? Would she still? This being had evoked so many questions in here mind and she wondered if any of them would ever yield and answer.
Whatever the reason for 'polty's being in her current state, it was clear that the attention and friendship of the young wizard was working as a balm at least. Her actions seemed as though they had been a cry for attention, which led Rin to believe she may have passed this life alone. Through all the spirits she had spoken with, leaving when you are all alone is very frightening. So she could understand the desire for attention and comfort now, even living beings craved it. And despite the fact of no longer being flesh, her consciousness was still that of a woman, Rin herself sympathized with what she may be feeling. Which is why she had thought of bringing her to the cloak closet. There was someone of her kind there who may be able to better communicate with her and provide her with continued comfort. Also the young wizard seemed to bear quite an attachment to their new found acquaintance. If she decided to stay there he could see her again and be more comforted himself.
When he looked to her and called her a lovely lady Rin's cheeks coloured very lightly, she was unaccustomed to that sort of treatment still. She was getting more at ease with Jared's help , but it was still somewhat new to her. She nodded back to let him know she had acknowledged it and turned slowly for the door. "Yes right this way." she said looking back at the pair. "I think that you may like this place very much. Polty is it?" she said politely and lead them out the door towards the cloak closet.
The poltergist let him give her another small hug and take her hand. When he took it she looked down at it , it seemed with some wonder in her face. She stopped humming and looked at him with some curiousity in her face. When Torio said that the lady was going to show them the 'fun place' she stared at the woman. This time she did not seem to have the strong urge to hit her with things though. When Torio spoke again she looked back to him and gave a giggle apparantly finding what he said quite funny ,then nodded in agreement. She followed the woman out of the room with her playmate in hand and began humming again this time a somewhat merry tune.

The smile on Torio's face spread a little with the lady's acceptance of Polty and with the poltergiest's continued calm and growing gentleness. With the new tune she began to create as they left the office, Torio wondered if it would be a good idea to bring his violin to the poltergiest; perhaps she could help him compose a piece.

"Well, I'm ready to go when you are." To prove his point, he hesitantly placed the kneazle on the floor and watched her walk over to his desk, making herself comfortable on his chiar, before turning to Misty with a smile.
'Greek, huh?' Misty asked with an eyebrow raised. If she hadn't spent those few months in Greece, she would have thought the man was crazy and made up his own words. Luckily for him, she did not think him crazy. Not yet anyway.
Misty held up a finger to tell Nikos to wait a second. She walked to her cubicle to pick up her jacket and bag, who knew how long they would be, and it would be easier if she just took all her things with her. She was glad her kneazle wasn't with her, or she would have to lug him around too. 'Okay, I'm really ready now.' she said upon returning.
Placing her bag over her shoulder, Misty opened the door and exited the office. She was hungry all of a sudden..

"Yeah." He said with a grin, realizing that she had not known. Atleast she didn't think he was crazy unlike a few of the other Ministry workers.
Sliding his hands into his pockets, he rocked back on his heels watching Misty gather her belongings. Would they be gone that long? Nikos didn't bring much with him besides his raven, everything else he kept locked in his cubicle. Glancing over to his own cubicle, he whistled to his raven, watching as she landed on his shoulder. Turning on his heels, Nikos followed Misty out of the office.

It all started with a cat. One, dainty looking cat. The Egyptian Mau (A cat that looks like a little tiger. Yes, they're real. Look'em up) strutted into the large room of cubicles and sniffed its nose up like it was smelling something unpleasant. Which it was. These British...The cat meowed They always smell like rotten teabags...
Then another cat came out from the same doorway. Well, you may say that that is bad, but just wait until you meet some Americans, the new Turkish Angora meowed back. Them and their coffee. Bah, Humbug. The Cranky cat started to lick his paw.
After that there was a procession of cats, all having origins around the world. In all there were 9 cats. There was an Egyptian Mau, a Turkish Angora, a Sphynx, a Somali, a Chartreux, two violet Himalayan's, a Manx, and an Orange Tabby, each meowing back and forth about Tea, Coffee, or in some cases, Hot Chocolate and Milk. The Himalayan's decided the conversation was beneath them and were daintily, yes, that word again, licking their paws. An outsider would simply hear a bunch of cats meowing to themselves.
Then Jet came in. "I see you 9-" The Himalayan's glared at him "The 7 of you are having a very...um...thoughtful conversation."
"Thoughtless is more like it..." One of the Himalayan's muttered to the other.
Jet gave them a disproving look then set off to find a desk. Some cats. He told Akil the Manx (which had conveniently jumped on his shoulder) to go search the other half of the room for an appropriate desk, particularly one that smelt alright. Jet, too, had a sensitive nose.

Toothpick Disappearer * Likes her 'figgies' * Mmm... Bagels!
Kass turned the corner, not really looking where she was going- to find that she had ALMOST stepped on a tail of a cat... a cat that belonged to a quite fair size of group of other cats... why in Merlin's name were there so many cats. Oh she had worked here for quite some time, why was she asking these questions to herself?
Kasandra pushed her glasses up as she saw someone who looked as though he knew the reason for all these cats. Well if there is a reason, I won't bother to make a fuss. She thought, stepping around the cats- and making her way to her desk.
MEEEOWWW!, The Somali cried, seconds before she THOUGHT the woman was going to step on her tail. The woman did indeed not step on her tail, however, and the poor cat received several disapproving looks from some of the other cats, especially the Himalayan's, Jasper and Jasmine. Well. Princess said haughtily It's certainly not my fault she almost stepped on my tail. SHE should be more careful. Mmm...? Sleeps the Tabby meowed as he was, once again, going to sleep. I still think milk is better than all the others....hmmm.....
The rest of the cats stared at the kitty until Athena the Chartreux said thoughtfully I guess we know who never pays attention.... As if we hadn't known before. Jasper Meowed. Thats all he ever does. He just sleeps, sleeps, sleeps. Jasmine agreed with him. Snarl (the Sphynx), however, was taking great interest in the sleeping tabby. Perhaps, he thought, a little...rousing would wake him up... Jaguar knew exactly what the little runt was thinking, and quite quickly pinned him down. I don't think so, you little upstart. Leave the poor thing alone. Whats this, Jaguar? Jasper said rather hatefully Do I sense some compassion? You know very well compassion isn't for cats... The Egyptian Mau purred angrily at the Himalayan. You pompous little runt. Just wait until I finish with you.
Thus began a ferocious cat fight, with Akaya and Athena siding with Jaguar and Princess (who was obsessed with Jasper) and Jasmine siding with Jasper. Akil was still looking for a desk, and Snarl was trying to wake up Sleeps using harsh methods.
For once, Jet was glad, very glad, that only he could understand his cats. He then saw the original cause of the commotion. He walked over, tripping over quite a many desks on the way to the woman and held out his hand. "Don't mind the cats" he said, indicating the fighting cats. It was no good trying to stop them. Cats were very picky about their battles. To interfere would mean he would have 6 cars snarling at him for the next 6 moons. "My name is Jet. Yours?"

Kasandra put her filed down on her desk when she reached it, and then she heard some sort of snarl. She looked back, tucking a aqua strand of hair behind her ear. Sounded like a cat fight... it was actually... a real cat fight. Odd...
Kass turned back to her desk, taking a sip from her coffee mug- when she heard someone behind her. Turning around again, she saw the man who may- or may not- be responsible for these cats. Imagined he was though. Kass smiled and shook the mans hand. "I've seen odder things in this office." Looking over to the cats doing there thing. "Kasandra Tonks, pleasure. Just call me Kass though, I'm not too into formality."
