At least she knew someone was on top of the assignment. That was a plus. "If you don't mind," she began, looking at the woman again. "I'm in need of a bit of a favor," Briony continued. Some of the filing cabinets were in need of a good clean out. Who better to ask help her than Chloe. Seeing as there were quite a few, she would need more than herself and Chloe doing this. "I was wondering if you would be up to cleaning out the filing cabinets over there." She pointed at the tall bins.

Briony turned around. "We could use some help if anyone was interested to help us clean filing cabinets," she announced, loudly enough for the room to hear. She turned back to her. "So what do you say?"

" I will help clean put the filing cabinets" Joe Jon Montcenaggio told Briony. Rex could only do what he was told as he got turned down over and over for the jobs Antigone and Briony now have in the Education department, First it was Jake and the other woman, now them. J.J. Starr has been tenured lomger than anyone there at the Magical Education Department. He has seen more employees leave this department than anyone else. If only Samantha had been still with the department. things would have been different but they sent her out to run a store. J.J. is frustrated by all the turn downs and look overs. At least Briony worked here, Well what he saw of her.

Chloe pushed her chair back and stood up in her cute black high heels and smiled at Briony. "Yes, ma'am," she replied to the woman. Smoothing her black pencil skirt, she walked out from behind her desk and over to the filing cabinets. She began going through them and separating them into two piles: files that were still relevant and needed to be saved and files that were to be vanished. She wouldn't vanish any of the files until Briony or Antigone had perused them, though.

" Let me help you Chloe" J.J. SAtarr told her,. " You can give me whichever files you want to so it will not be so hard" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to Chloe.

She smiled at Chloe who agreed. Secretly she had a feeling she would. Briony appreciated the fact that J.J. Starr had offered his help too. Well that made two people. She supposed others could help if necessary. Briony made her way over to the cabinet beside the two. She ran her hand over it and dust came off. Ugh. How long had these things sat here?

She slowly opened the drawer and suddenly she screamed and backed off. A little creature flew out and looked around for a moment. "Do-Doxies," Briony managed, pointing to the little creature with sharp teeth protracting from it's mouth.

Then more flew out and they started flying around the cabinets. Weren't they considered biting fairies? She pointed to Chloe's drawer as more began to fly out.

Amanda walked right into the work area and raised her eyebrows slightly at the chaos going on, doxys were right pests and was fortunate to encounter them during her third year and remembered one thing that would hopefully stop them in their tracks; she removed her wand from her jacket pocket then waved it. "Petrificus Totalus" she muttered then watched the doxys carefully to see if they would freeze or not. The challenge with doxys was trying to figure out how to stop them and even though this wasn't how she wanted to start her first day of working in this department, it certainly showed that working here wasn't going to be boring at all.

"So without getting bit, what is the first thing you want us to do" J.J. Starr asked Briony.

Chloe's eyes widened for a moment as doxies began flying out at them, but then she acted quickly, pulling out her wand she waved it in front of her, paralyzing the doxies. Turning to Briony, she said, "That's not permanent. It won't last for very long. Someone needs to go get some doxy spray. Do we have any in the office or should we call for maintenance?"

Antigone was just escorting Mr. Chambers into the work area to show him his desk and introduce him to the others when a pesky little doxy flew right in front of her face, gnashing it's teeth as it passed.

"What in Merlin's pants is going on?!" she shouted as she unholstered her wand with a flick of her wrist and immobilized the little pest. "Where did the Doxies come from?" she inquired. Momentarily she forgot about Ryan as the onslaught of the little buggers came forward.

Turning to him she said, "There should be some Doxy spray in my bag... I picked some up just yesterday to de- Doxy my parents house... run and get it for me, will you?" She waited impatiently for Mr. Chambers to run for the door. Where was Ethan when she needed him?

Briony turned to see Antigone walk in. She had a book in her hands and was hitting the doxies Chloe didn't get the chance to paralyze. "Err...they came from these filing cabinets ma'am," she told her, hitting another one of the biting fairies. "Seems they haven't been opened for quite some time." She slammed another one. These things weren't her favorite.

She turned around and saw Ryan with her boss. What was he here for? No time to think that through. She almost made an effort to close the drawer when one of them almost bit her. "Should someone go up to the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures Department?" she asked. Antigone was in charge.

Antigone bit her lower lip as she froze yet another Doxy. Nodding her head she said, "Yes, that is the best idea. I simply have a small bottle of the Dedoxiefier it isn't nearly enough to take on this swarm! Please run down to the Fourth Level someone!"

She momentarily considered hiding under a desk or something... She was not a fan of the Doxies. No way! With a wave of her wand she decked herself out in something that resembled a hazmat suit and she began swatting at the pesky little things.

In a somewhat muffled voice she said, "Don't let them bite you!" *swat swat... spaz spaz*

Briony knew she had some level of importance with being Division Head and all but Antigone, Ryan, and Chloe were there and she knew they could handle this sort of stuff. Or at least she hoped. She took this opportunity to go find someone to help as quick as possible.

"I'll go for help then!" she cried, running towards the door with the book in front of her face. She almost could have laughed at the way Antigone was taking this but she was scared they would bite her too. Eeek! She got to the door after almost tripping over a desk and started toward the elevator.

Ethan strolled into the office then stopped dead in his tracks. Doxies were everywhere. Without paying attention who was exactly in the office, he ran, ducking away from the doxies as he maneuvered to his cubical.

"Everyone should have," he ducked once again as he opened a drawer to the right of his desk. "...a can of doxycide at least in their desk." He stood up in a fast motion with a can in his hand as he began to spray around him.

Apparently J.J. Starr must not know what to do He thought to himself. Since Briony only looked at Chloe, Antigone and Ryan in that I know you all now what to do here. Joe jon Montcenaggio then thought to himself he was sure he asked the question What is the first thing you want us to do? J.J. seems left out of this department, it must be because he is the oldest employee here at 23. Tenure means nothing to these younger bosses.

Briony burst through the doors with Nikos and the woman she did not know's name with her. She saw Ethan attempting to spray some of his spray on the doxies. "I'm back with help Antigone," she declared and led the two toward the filing cabinets. "There. They're everywhere!" she exclaimed, taking a step back and holding her book in front of her face again.

These two could help without her.

Misty strolled through the doors still levitating all her things. Still, no one offered to help. Right. She could do it herself..but she would rather not.

Taking a quick glance around the room, Misty would have laughed at all the doxies in the room but, she was a professional, and it seemed people were scared. Not that there were that many doxies. She had seen worse..but she would leave her comments and her laughter to herself.

Setting down the cages on someones desk, and quickly pulled her hair back so she could work without being bothered by hair. Before she would get started she had to make sure everyone was safe first, "Did anyone get bit? I brought an antidote."

As Nikos followed the woman into the room, he couldn't help but be slightly amused by there atempts to control the pesky creatures. Glancing around the room he turned to his unnamed coworker and took the cages from her, watching as she tied her hair. It was a good thing she brung the antidote cause he had none. "You spray, I'll cage 'em?" Before waiting for a reply he flicked his wand, opening the cages and rolled up his sleeves preparing to handle the pesky creatures.

"Thank Merlin you are here! Get them, pleeeeeease! Doxies freak me out!" Antigone declared in a rather muffled voice seeing as she was still wearing her hazmat type suit. She saw Ethan start to spray the little buggers as well and inched toward him... he'd protect her, right? Right.

Ethan looked around as one employee stated that they had antidote. "Hang on to it," he spoke in his deep, super hero voice as if he were here to save the day. Spraayyyyy! "I'm sure by the time we are finished, someone will have a bite." And as if his ears were deceiving, he heard the musical voice of Antigone, but he couldn't look. He was too busy spraying and protecting himself and others.

He held out one hand while the other reached for her in a protective way. "LOOK OUT!" He aimed the can towards Boss Lady as the doxy became immobile momentarily. "That was close," he said as he pulled her to him and grinned.

Okay.

It seemed like no was bit, so it was time to get to work. The unknown guy had already started opening the cages before Misty even had a chance to protest! Not that she would or anything, since she would rather spray than collect. Spraying was more action packed..at least more than collecting.

Picking up a can of doxicide in each hand, Misty saw that the other..person was spraying and he seemed to have things under control over in that direction. She turned to her coworker and nodded, "Make sure you catch them and don't let them hit the ground." She didn't want them to get hurt!

With that, she faced the doxies, and started spraying both cans in their direction.

Taking care of business.

Taking Ethan's hand Antigone scooted closer to him and let him protect her. SHe finally felt confident enough to vanish her protective gear. Hehe. She still clung to Ethan and squeaked each time a Doxie came nearer. Oh Ethan... my knight in shining armor!

As soon as his coworker started spraying, he skillfully began to catch the creatures, careful not to harm them as he placed them into the cages.

Ocassionally he had to duck and dodge the few who had yet to be hit with the spray or a panicked worker trying to avoid the doxies. Out the corner of his eye he could see another man spraying as well and took note to thank them once they all were caught.

Once the first cage was full he closed and locked it, still being mindfull of the creatures before beinging to fill the second cage. As he worked his way across the room collecting the creatures, walking on a few desks to reach the ones up high, the number of doxies began to deminish.

Though he couldv'e just levitated the creatures into the cages, Nikos liked to work with his hands when he handled magical creatures. Though he suddenly wished he had used magic or alteast worn gloves when a doxie bit his finger as he reached under a desk to grab a frozen one. Cursing to himself in Greek, he reached in his back pocket and sprayed the pest before picking him up and placing him in the cage.

After filling the last cage he locked it as well and turned to his coworker, letting out a deep breath. "I think I got 'em all. Though one got me." He looked at his finger, the bite wasn't to deep but he would still need some ointment.

Antigone peeked out from behind Ethan's shoulder and stuttered, "Ar-ar-are yyyou sure?" Oh my how she loathed the nasty little Doxies! Their little teeth and the way they flew about just trying to get her... she hated the things!

Ethan looked towards the employee who began placing the doxies in a cage. "Way to go, mate," he praised the employee but made sure to keep Antigone close to him where she belonged.

OH he soooo didn't think that! BLAH!

Misty stopped spraying when she heard her coworker say they got them all. Of course they did, it was their job. She didn't miss what else he said though. One got him though? What was that supposed to mean?

Oh.

Digging in her pocket, Misty took out a phial of the antidote. It was a good thing she had remembered to bring that. Walking over to the man, jeeez, she should learn his name!, she grabbed his finger to get a look at the bite. It was a little one, and as soon as he took the antidote he would be fine. "Here, take this." she said, handing over the potion. He should wear gloves next time.

She turned her head when she heard the department head ask if they were sure. Like they would just do a half-job. Looking around the room, she nodded, "Yep. It seems we are all clear."

Now, what were they supposed to do the cages full of doxies?
