"Ehh, I can always finish this later," she said to herself and walked away from it. Finding an empty seat next to a certain SOMEONE, Abilee smiled and sat down. Now she was eagar to know what was going to happen next.

He gazed at the beautiful woman a moment longer then turned to his boss. He'd have plenty of time to whoo the woman. "Yes, which desk should I take as my own?" As soon as he knew that he'd gladly take a seat.

Leo blinked and raised an eyebrow as he regarded Oliver. Not a morning person, then? He chuckled, nodding as he could totally understand how being awake and feeling awake were different things. "Well, that is very good, Mr Granger. Though, I prefer if everyone in the team is alert during working hours...if anyone feels too tired to keep their eyes open, feel free to take a nap in my office." Hehehe.[/B]
"Oh I'll be fine" said Oliver. "It's really that first half hour that is killer, and alright I'll keep that in mind" said Oliver with a chuckle.
Izuru walks in to her new work place and notices everyone at work she brushes a piece of her hair form her face to behind her ear she walks over to her cubicle she spins her chair to face her she throws her fur shawl upon her chair then takes a seat and spins around and takes a look upon her work area the muted cubicle was depressing and dull so without a blink of her eye she whips out her wand and starts at work.
She first turns her desk into a dark wooden desk form the 1600 century then form no where a tea set appears and the tea pot starts to pour a glass of tea by itself once taking a sip she creates a vase with elegant white orchids blooming out of it then with a slight approval she started looking over papers.

With parents like you and Pandora, I'm sure they are not suffering..." Hearing your child crying and seeming in pain...well, it would break anyone's heart.

He gave Ronan a soft smile and noticed Abigail had joined them. "Hello Miss Sinclair! Hope everything's well with you?" He inclined his head and then looked around as Nye spoke up.

After. Hehe. "Why don't you come and sit next to me on this desk." Sure, this desk was someone's, but he hoped they wouldn't mind having two guys sit on their work space for some minutes. Plus...it would help Nye focus on the task at hand and not his female colleagues. Hehe.

But something caught his attention. There was a woman.... a quite determined and FOCUSED woman. Exellent. And she was already starting to work. Hehehe. Leo pushed himself off the desk and walked over to the young lady. "Miss...Amu, right?" HEHE. He totally knew that. "Good day, my name is Leonardo de la Buena." he extended a hand towards her. "We're just starting a little meeting, if you would like to join us?" Well...he hoped she would, seeing as they would be talking about work.
Turning to everyone in the room, he took a deep breath and began to explain why they were all here. "Glad to see you all here!" Taking a pause and smiling at everyone, "As you know, we are all here to make sure the education of our young witches and wizards is the best it can be, so now, we will begin our examinations," he nodded towards the Examinations Authority team, then he turned to the Inspections Committee."...and inspections to prepare the students for the world outside classrooms." Oh how he missed those days. A bit.
"So, the school term is almost over and it's time to go over the things that worked and the things that could be improved. What we are going to work on now is to create surveys to send out to students and staff, regarding the classes and examination." He walked over to a wall that was visible for everyone, took out a permanent marker from his pocket and started to doodle on the wall.
"The Examinations Authority's questionnaire, which will be sent out to the students, will be composed of questions about the tests..." he drew a big cloud with the division name on it to then proceed to write all around it. "How do we know the tests were easy or difficult? Can we improve the examinations?" He scribbled that on the wall. "Did they get enough information and a foundation for them to expand their knowledge?" Scribble scribble.
And now he did the same thing again - a cloud but with the name Inspections Committee in it. "The Inspections Committe will create a questionnaire to get information from the Professors. It's important to know wether or not they think their classes went well, if they had enough to work with or if they needed more time or resources to do their best." He summed it up with short sentences around the cloud. "Do they feel involved with the curriculums or, and this might fit more with the new teachers - are they having difficulties settling in at the school?" Scrrrrrible.
"So...to sum this up - you will all make a questionnaire to get information about the situation at Hogwarts." He turned to look at them all, repocketing his pen.
"Do you have any questions?" Because he probably missed something. Hehehe.
"Well its nice to meet you Mr. Leonardo you may call me Izuru Amu is my maiden name" once he was done telling her about the meeting she headed over to the meeting...
Izuru once hearing the lecture she grabbed her quill and started taking some ideas down as to what to ask on the questionnaire... Once getting a few ideas she then grabbed her brush and brushed her hair to give herself a little more time to think.

Nye sat with his elbows on his knees taking in everything Leo was saying. He didn't need to take notes. Not with a memory like his. As his boss spoke he was already considering the possible questions.
Nye put his right hand in the air slightly and extended his index finger in order to get Leo's attention. He of course had a question... He always had a question. Nye figured it was better to ask, than to assume.

As the new tough man spoke Ryan observed him carefully and decided to not to go against him by mentioning his thoughts about coffee and how it killed neurons especially when it was consumed bitter without adding anything. And Ryan was happy with his neurons plus, to be frank, his brain was all he had as a valuable thing so he was determined to protect it which meant : no coffee for him.
Though he did not look too friendly at least he responded to his good morning wishes and this might be taken as a good sign or...whatever. His boss was speaking and he needed focus on him instead.
Sooo they were supposed to make a questionnaire ''Sounds fun'' he said smirking and eyeing his co-workers. ''Shall we start immediately?''

Oliver listened intently to the assignment being given, and thought it certainly would be useful for the future students taking these tests. A few simple questions shouldn't be difficult to think up but who knows. Oliver took a quill and some ink and wrote down the assignment on a spare piece of parchment so he wouldn't forget.

Ronan stayed quiet, watching the employees look over the assignment that Leo had laid out for the department. He glanced to the persons he knew were in his division and spoke up, "Any one in my division can come to ask me a question or show me any suggestions that you might have."
He smiled, showing that he was certainly approachable for anyone that might have a problem with the assignment.

Nye made quick work of it. He didn’t like to postpone or procrastinate. It was not his style. There was always something to do, and putting things off never solved anything.
On his parchment he jotted down 10 questions, it was dramatically informally written. His chicken scratch had never gotten him any compliments.

Oliver stood up assuming the meeting was over and walked over to his desk to begin the assignment. This shouldn't be too bad he thought trying to come up with some questions he could put on his sheet.

"Oh," Leo took the piece of parchment, quite surprised that Nye had finished so quickly. He gave the man a nod and then started reading it over with a small concentrated frown.
"These...questions are pretty good." Leo nodded and looked up from the paper to smile at Nye. "So, tell me..." Speaking of nothing... "How come you decided to work in Magical Education?" He leaned against the other empty desk near them, the parchment still in his hands. "If you don't mind me asking..." Oh, he hoped he wouldn't mind the question.

Seeing Oliver sitting down and starting to work on the questionnaire, it made Leo curious to see what the young man would come up with.

Maybe she should just leave now. Spare herself at least the embarrassment.
Eyes closed, she almost resolved to do just that when she thought what might be possible if she weren't laughed out on the first day. Trying to focus on that, she opened her eyes and squared her shoulders (swimming in her oversized second-hand work robes).

"H-hi, I'm Emmalee. Emmalee Quinn. I think this is where I'm supposed to work?"
Ronan turned at the sound of a woman's voice and saw the redhead standing there tentatively in overlarge robes, looking like she had never been in a crowd of people a day in her life.
"Hello there Emmalee, my name is Ronan Cavanaugh. I believe I am your division head." the young blonde man said going over to her and smiling warmly as he held out his hand.
"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic and in particular, the wonderful Department of Education." Yeah, way to sound cheesy.
Ronan turned at the sound of a woman's voice and saw the redhead standing there tentatively in overlarge robes, looking like she had never been in a crowd of people a day in her life.
"Hello there Emmalee, my name is Ronan Cavanaugh. I believe I am your division head." the young blonde man said going over to her and smiling warmly as he held out his hand.
"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic and in particular, the wonderful Department of Education." Yeah, way to sound cheesy.

He was her division head? But he was.. *ahem* Emmalee felt her cheeks flush.
Emmalee had always assumed the people who were in charge at the ministry were all old men. Scary old men.
But he was neither old, nor scary. In fact..
Right. Emmalee wiped her hand on her robe before taking his offered one. "Thank you, Mister Cavanaugh. Examinations Authority?" She looked around, still a bit fearfully. "Are we working on something." She winced. "I mean, of course we're working on something. This is work. I.. "
Emmalee cut herself off and scrunched up her face in embarrassment before covering it briefly with her palm. Shaking her head briefly, she composed herself.
"Let me start over. Hi. I'm glad to be here. Where should I start?"

Emmalee stood outside the work room a few moments, taking a deep, shaky breath. This was no good. She had no business here. What could she possibly have to offer here of all places. They were going to laugh her out of that room, today, she was sure of it.
And then she'd go back to being unable to take care of herself and Maribeth would tsk and tut and say 'I told you so.'
Maybe she should just leave now. Spare herself at least the embarrassment.
Eyes closed, she almost resolved to do just that when she thought what might be possible if she weren't laughed out on the first day. Trying to focus on that, she opened her eyes and squared her shoulders (swimming in her oversized second-hand work robes).
She resolved to march right into the room, but it was more of a slink. Around the door frame and back up against the wall.
Hire notice clutched in her sweaty fist, Emmalee managed to clear her throat and speak, to no one in particular.
"H-hi, I'm Emmalee. Emmalee Quinn. I think this is where I'm supposed to work?"
The veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long silence in the room made Leo raise his eyebrows. It was like...too quiet in here...way to quiet. But everyone was working...which was good, he guessed. He smiled flatly and started to lamely swing his arms where they rested on his side, looking like he had no clue what to do.
Well, he should go back to his office and-
A PERSON!
He hadn't heard her come in! He smiled broadly and was about to head towards her when Ronan greeted the woman.

Letting the Division head speak, Leo approached to young woman and reached out his hand towards her. "Good Day, Miss Quinn!" Lovely! "I am Leonardo de la Buena, the Head of this department." Nod nod. "But you can call me Leo." Yes she could! "Welcome to the Department of Education, we just started working on our next project." Which is why it was so quiet in here. Hehe.

"I think tea sound wonderful." She turned to her Division head. "Would you like a cup? You could tell me what I'm supposed to be doing over tea?"
That wasn't too forward, was it?

Ronan continued to smile kindly. It was rather refreshing to see a new employee, and she seemed to eager to work. Perhaps that's why she seemed so nervous around him.

Just then, Leo came over to greet the woman as well. He was always the sort to be cheerful to new people. That was one of the things that Ronan admired about him.
Waiting patiently for his boss to explain to Miss Quinn what it was they were doing, he turned his attention back to the young woman and added in.
"Basically, Examinations Authority division is supposed to develop a survey to be sent out to students. It will consist of questions on how they found the OWLs and NEWTs to be. They will make up questions that could be answered by students and from that, gather information. With the information, they will be able to develop the examinations and improve them as well." Ronan felt like he was reading right from a manual [].
"If you have any questions do come over and ask, I am here to help as best as I can." the young man added with another smile. Guh, he was going to get more laugh lines.
So, no on the tea then. Emmalee chewed the inside of her cheek as she listened to what the task at hand was. That didn't seem... too hard.
That is, once she realized that they were talking about examinations and not pets. She'd wondered, briefly, why the Ministry was sending students owls and newts, but thankfully hadn't said anything terribly stupid.
"Excellent. I'll just get some tea and get settled at one of the empty desks and then get to work. Thank you." She nodded briefly, and then turned, thankful that she could now let her eyes bug out of her head without anyone noticing.
As she fixed her tea, she cast a glance over her shoulder trying to scope out an empty work area. Spying one that didn't seem to have a neighbor - though, perhaps the neighbor just wasn't sitting at it right now - she resolved to sit there and try not to get fired on her first day.
Gripping the cup, she made her way over and sat down. She had no personal possessions to decorate the surface with, so instead she feigned arranging parchment and quills, though how many ways could you push around the same pile of paper and the same tatty quilly.
Sipping her tea, she looked around the room. Just a little tea to settle her nerves, and then she'd get to work.

Leo gladly shook Emmalee's hand and smiled softer now, sensing the young woman was a wee bit nervous. Though WHY she would be, he had no idea... They were all friendly here and he was sure she would get settled in very soon. "Oh, likewise." Nod nod.

Having stepped back a little, he looked between Miss Emmalee and Ronan as the latter started to explain more detailed what the new project was about...and hearing his explanation, whoa, Leo couldn't help but glance at Ronan, eyebrow raised and with an amused expression.
Ronan had definitely prepared. That was awesome!
And see? Miss Quinn had started settling in!
Leo was about to go find her a desk, but she fixed it herself and everything was goooooooooood.
And now Leo had nothing to do. Well, not here anyways. So... yeah. "Yes, I think you and Ryan have things under control here," he chuckled, turning towards Ronan again. Understatement. Those two were great Division Heads. "I will be in my office if anyone wants anything...at all." Yep yep.
With a nod towards his colleague, Leo turned to face the working area, "Keep up the exellent work, everyone!" And with that, he walked towards his office.
