''Ah that makes sense'' Ryan joked and laughed at his own joke when the man said that he worked in education. ''Sorry. I did not mean to be rude. I just cannot stop it. I like to have a laugh. Whatever.'' he presented his hand to the man ''I am glad to meet you Mr. Granger. I am Ryan Chambers, Division Head of Inspections Committee. And...umm...what divison are you working under. I guess not mine, right?''


After meeting Oliver Granger Ryan turned back to the beautiful, young lady slightly but kindly smiling at her. ''What a beautiful name!'' he exclaimed cheerfully. ''And, as i have told Mr. Granger there'' he indicated the other man. ''My name is Ryan Chambers and i lead the Inspections Committee. May i ask under which division ayou are going to work, Ms Nyx?''

Once Chloe had finished reading through the thick file of praises and spotless teaching record of Professor Prior Walter III, she looked up from her desk and around the room for Ryan, who seemed to be addressing two people at the moment. "Excuse me, Mr. Chambers, but would you like us to write up a report on the professors we're looking at or simply read through the files?" she asked him politely, not sure what to do now other than write something down or read through more files. It had become eerily quiet around the office.

"It's very nice to meet you Mr. Chambers" Seraphina smiled. "I was hired by Ms. McArdle for the examinations authority." She replied. "I'm not sure what i should do to get started though, i can't seem to find Ms. McArdle anywhere."

As he heard his name being pronounced by Chloe's voice, keeping his smile on his face, he turned to face her ''Yes, Ms Everhart'' he said at first then eagerly listened to the rest of the woman's words. Ah, that was a smart woman, was not she? ''That's a good point and thank you for bringing it out.'' he went on, absent mindedly running a hand through his blond hair. ''I'd be happy if you do so'' And he could see what experience she had from that file. Yes, yes, very nice.

Then he turned back to the other woman with the interesting name, Seraphina Nyx, and smiled at her again as spoke again ''I'm glad to meet you too, Ms Nyx.'' Examinations Authority. That was not his job yet he knew he had to say something since both Antigone and Briony were gone. ''That's because Ms. McArdle resigned and we are awaiting for our new boss and new head for your division. Yet in the meantime you can choose any cubicle and feel free to settle down''

Seraphina sighed, she was completely jinxed! First her fiance break it off and now her boss resigns before she even meets her! This was not going well at all. "Oh, thank you" Seraphina said, "Well, i guess i will be seeing around hunh?" she said looking around at the small room and attempting a smile. She found an empty desk over by one of the enchanted windows and sat down in the chair, feeling completely lost. This was supposed to be her chance to start over, so she was going to try to make the best of it no matter what. Seraphina pulled out her wand and began making the space her own.

Cadence smiled at him politely and then pulled out parchment, ink, and quill, immediately setting to work on her report diligently. As she heard Ryan explaining about Antigone's resignation, Chloe's stomach clenched slightly, she didn't want to hear about this right now, didn't want to think about the fact that she now had no idea what had happened to Antigone or where she had gone. She pushed these thoughts aside and continued working on her report.

The Report on Prior Walter III

After reviewing the file of Professor Prior Walter III, I can conclude that he was nothing short of a brilliant teacher. He understood the best ways to teach his students so they learned the material and also enjoyed his class. In addition, he strived to make a difference in the lives of his students and be a positive role models. He inspired his students to learn and gave them the tools necessary to succeed after school. He was adored and respected, a wonderful example of what it takes to be a truly great teacher.

When she had finished, she rolled up the parchment and walked over to Ryan, handing it to him. "I've finished, Mr. Chambers."

''You are welcome'' Ryan replied kindly, smiling at the woman and he absent mindedly looked after her as she walked one of the cubicles and started to decorate it till Chloe appeared again bringing her report for the old-ex-whatever-he-is professor. Helping him to snap out of his absent minded state, the woman spoke too and Ryan remembered where he was: the offices. Yet apparently he had a problem with...his mind...perhaps for he seemed to forget where he had been and this was definitely not because of the beautiful women around (lol).

''Thank you Ms Everhart'' he said a little bit weakly trying his best not to look sick and took the report and put it on his desk. He was not feeling like reading right now. ''I appreciate your hard work. Thank you again''

Chloe smiled at him and nodded. "Not a problem!" she said as he thanked her, and then he was thanking her again. Chloe examined his face and tried to look into his eyes. "Mr. Chambers, are you alright?" she asked concernedly. Sure, Ryan could be a chauvinistic pig sometimes, but he was still her boss, and he still deserved someone to care whether or not he was sick, right? He definitely didn't look well, and as Chloe stood there she was afraid he might vomit right onto her, but she supposed that was a chance she was willing to take. Maybe she should go get Asher to come and look at him...

Ronan looked over to Ryan has he came into the work area and commended his and Chloe's work of cleaning around the office space.

Holstering his wand once more, he listened to what Mr Chambers wanted him to do, and nodded. "Alright, I'll get started then." he said with a small smile to the man before going over to one of the filing cabinets and pulling one out.

It was her first day of work. GAH! Work. Why did she do this? OH! To better herself? Nope. The only thing she wanted...dignity? Nope that wasn't it either. She had to face it, if there was one thing she needed to do in her lifetime, it was to learn to work with others and what better way than the Ministry. Her uncle would be proud and she could care less about her own father but there was one that stood out above the rest, the one person with whom they had recently reunited after FIVE LONG YEARS.

Yeah. She was just slightly irritated with herself in taking so long to find him but, she wanted to make sure it was the right time as timing was everything to a woman's life. With just the right timing she would know that he missed her just as much as she missed him. Tease.

But that was Lyra Noir.

She stepped into her new work area, her heels clicking along the floor with knee length skirt that showed just how long and lanky her legs really were. Since Hogwarts, she'd done nothing but modeling for not only wizard fashion magazines but muggle magazines as well. She was well prepared in her muggle sense even though she was a pureblood, but she had to venture out into the world and do what she wanted. Now she had to do what she needed.

Pulling back her chair at her empty yet clean desk, Lyra took her seat making sure to put away her purse. She leaned back, crossed her legs and began filing her nails. It was always best for one to look decent when meeting new peeps.

Oliver give a polite chuckle to Mr. Chambers. "Oh it's perfectly fine" said Oliver. "Nothing wrong with a good laugh now and then. Anyway it's nice to meet you Mr. Chambers" shaking his hand. "I was hired to work as an Examination Authority at the beginning of last fall" said Oliver.

Erik walked into the education department curiously wondering where that cute Department Head he'd met at the Leaky was after finding her office empty. Had she left? Pity.

Finding a cute blonde in one of the desks he walked up to her and smiled a charming smile as he leaned on the cubicle wall, "Hi there. Was wonderin' if ye knew where yer Department Head was," he said in his thick Scottish accent.

Lyra paused in her nail filing as a heavy thick accent was asking her a question, one she didn't know. She stopped in mid file as her green eyes slowly looked towards the gentleman that was seeking advice. "I'm sorry but...I'm new here. I have yet to see any sort of Department Head." She moved back to filing her nails and then added. "But you know, if I was a Department Head, I wouldn't be in here with the regular employees. I'd be in my office." She stopped filing and pointed towards the door, brushing her hair back from her face.

"Just a guess." She looked back to the gentleman, gave a fake smile as if to say 'Ha! I'm smart too you know!' then went back to filing. "I heard she was quite a looker as well. Too bad. I wanted to see a little bit of competition going on."

Erik watched as the woman stopped filing her nails. New here...right well he knew that not having seen her before. "Really...never would've thought to check there first," he said sarcastically and smirked.

Hearing her comment he smirked and looked her over, "She was, yes. Yer quite the looker yerself." He smiled charmingly and watched her for a moment, "O fergive me. I'm Erik Jensen Division Head of MLES and the Wizengamot."

See! Lyra knew how to use her brain when it was needed. She looked back to the gentleman, smiled and gave a nod of her head, overlooking the sarcastic tone of his voice. She stood up from where she was sitting, kindly not forgetting about the love of her life but someone was offering a compliment to her, something that she never let go.

"Oh. A Division Head," she asked as she stood up from her seat, stretching out her hand to offer a dainty handshake. "Of...what? Miles? What is MILES?" She knew what the Wizengamot was but whatever this MILES thing was he was speaking of, she had no clue.

Erik watched as the woman stood up after his compliment and he hid a smirk. Yup definitely the type of woman that took to a compliment. Sadly it only miss Mackenzie more cause she never fell for his smarmy act.

Taking the delicate hand of the woman he shook it and raised an eyebrow at her. She couldn't be serious. "No..not MILES sweetheart. MLES, Magical Law Enforcement Squad." Surely the woman couldn't be that dense.

Sometimes it was fun playing dumb as it made the man look ever so smart when asked questions. "Oohhh," Lyra smiled, completely ignoring his 'sweetheart' statement as if it were her second name. "Sooo...you are a...protector." Her eyes narrowed playfully as if she were up to something, followed by another smirky smile.

"It's nice to know there are strong handsome men out there to protect our...wizards." One never knew when one had the need to have good guys on the inside, a helper in case of emergencies.

Erik smiled at the woman hoping she was leading him on and wasn't as ditsy as she pretended to be. "Yea, ye could say that. Make sure nothin' bad happens to beautiful women like ye," he said with a smirk seeing her own. Well this could be interesting.

"Well someone needs to do it and I quite enjoy making the bad guys go to jail," he leaned against the cubicle wall further and smiled, "So what's yer name?"

Lyra scrunched her shoulders together and hid behind her hair while making her cheeks blush. If there was one thing, she was good at flirting but that was it and it was only to get something she wanted. "You are so charming, Mr. Jensen," she giggled then leaned against her own cubical.

"And how rude of me. My name is Lyra Noir," she spoke her last name with a hint of a fabulous French accent. "For lunch I was going to do to Diagon Alley for a little brush up with a friend of mine." She heard Vannie was in DA and totally had to make her way to see one of the PINK ladies.

Though he was not feeling as well as he used to feel this morning, Ryan smiled at Chloe when she asked if he was alright or not. ''I think i can handle it, Chloe'' he said without realising that he had used her first name because of the headache he was suffering from. ''Thank you anyway'' he forced another smile at the woman then sat back on his chair the very moment Ronan remarked that he was about to start working on ex professors. ''That's great Ronan. Keep up the good work'' he replied again using the first name of his employee unconsciously. Plus he was talking like a norm al human being whcih was not usual for Ryan and maybe not a sign of a good thing.

Aha he was all right with his joke and that was good news of course since he would not like to be kicked or punched or hexed again by one of the employees in the minisry ''I'm glad to hear that'' he replied with a smile. ''It is nice to meet you, too. There...'' he indicated the cubicles at the right part of the offices ''...are cubicles for Examinations Authority employees. Feel free to choose one and settle down''



Once the headache was gone and he felt way better than he used to, Ryan looked up to see two people whom he had not seen before in a deep conversation. Hmmm... so he stood up and walked there. ''Excuse me'' he said right after clearing his throat for attention ''Are you two new employees, as well?'' And wow! That was some woman, was not she?

Seraphina glanced around and took in her new office space. At least it felt more homey now that she had magicked pictures of all of her adventures up on the cubicle walls and put a bunch of calla lilies on her desk, they were her favorite. Seraphina noticed that the people in this office didn't seem to have anymore of an idea than she did about what happened to their boss, and that made Seraphina nervous. She decided to go get lunch in order to regroup her thoughts. As Seraphina was walking out she noticed the man who had introduced himself earlier, he looked a little disoriented. "Excuse me, Mr. Chambers, I'm heading out to get some lunch, you're welcome to join me," she said smiling, he looked like he could use a break Seraphina thought as she headed out.

"Sounds good to me" said Oliver attempting to gather his things. "Have a good day Mr. Chambers, hopefully I'll see you later." Oliver walked over to an empty cubicle to put his work done and attempted to settle in.

There was suddenly a lot of chatter going on in the department, and Chloe's first thought was about how Antigone was going to come and hex them all if they didn't shut it, but then she remembered that Antigone wasn't here anymore. She had gone. And so had Briony, or at least she would be going soon. And Ryan... poor Ryan was trying to handle all of this on his own, and he was obviously in no right state to do it right now. He had just called Chloe by her first name without any attempt at making a pass at her, he was actually being... normal for a change, and he didn't seem very talkative. She should really try to figure out a way to help him. "Right, well, if you need anything, just let me know, alright?" she said, flashing him a smile.

And then she turned to this new woman and the guy who was practically drooling on her and smiled politely. "Sorry, but I overheard you talking about our Department Head. Sorry, but we don't have one at the moment. Ms. McArdle resigned, and we're currently waiting for the new Department Head to arrive, who should be here anytime. Mr. Chambers here," she said, gesturing to the sick-looking Ryan at his desk, "is currently in charge, but is there anything I can help you with?" she asked, still with a tone of utmost politeness and respect.

As Lyra continued her conversation with 'said MLES' Man, two other employees walked up and began to ask questions as well. Oh it was fun being the center of attention. She heard the lady speak of the Department Head, something that she'd figured out as she walked back the empty door to the office.

"Oh yes, I do know about nothing having a Department Head at the moment," Lyra chimed in with a smile on her face. "I was just sort of...dumped into..." where was she? Oh yeah! Education! "Education...right?" She went back to scraping the file against her fingernails with a grin attached to her lips. "Oh there is something you can help me with." Of all things, Lyra was wondering..."When's lunch?" She was STARVING, more than usual.

Erik looked at Lyra and smirked. Well she was a looker alright. Another pain in Mackenzie's side. His focus was broken as other people joined in and he turned to look at the man asking if he was a new employee. "No...I'm in Law." And his equal so HA.

As a girl answered his question about the Department Head he sighed, "Too bad. She never did take me up on that cup o' coffee." Turning back to Lyra he smirked, "Why now...need someone to accompany ye to Diagon Alley? I'd be more than willing to offer my...protective skills," he said using her own assumptions. Well hey if it bought him a date he'd go for it.
