"How are you? Did you have a nice summer?"

It was an unusually bright September day when Ava and Ariadne Marchbanks travelled to King's Cross by floo from their mansion in Yorkshire, so that the girl could board the Hogwarts Express and head off to school for her second year.
Ava was pushing her daughter's heavy school trunk while lecturing her on proper behaviour, and Ariadne was carrying her grey cat, Pluto, in a cage, both women hurrying to get away from the Muggle area. They have been living in the wizarding world ever since they could remember, so they felt uncomfortable in Muggle London. But not because they had anything against Muggles; no, they found them fascinating. The trouble was, they didn't really know how to act around them. Plus, people were glaring suspiciously at Ari's trunk. Yes, better hurry.
Scarletts eyes widened as she noticed the time from the main clock on the wall and nodded to Chloe. "I'm actually a freak about histroy. Like, Muggle also, it's quite fascinating. I didn't even realise the time... I say we better get this show on the road... Now to find platform 9 and 10!" She smiled and walked towards the barrier.
"oh im so excited now" she said as they walked together with their familys following close behind
"Wow!" Pippa exclaimed upon hearing that all of Evangeline's family had been Ravenclaw's, too. "I really hope we both make it, then" she continued, feeling a little ball of nerves form in her stomach at the thought of not being placed into Ravenclaw house. "Any house would be lucky to have you, pumpkin" her father had told her that morning when Pippa confided her fears of breaking the family tradition. Although his words were comforting, Pippa still feared being placed anywhere other than Ravenclaw.
Pippa noticed Evangeline watching her as she looked at her brothers. "Yeah..." she replied, letting out a small sigh, "as annoying as they are, at the best of times, I'm gonna miss them..." she finished. "None at all?" questioned Pippa in surprise, upon hearing that the girl didn't have any siblings. Wow she thought to herself, as she tried to imagine life without her three younger brothers. "Siblings can be painful though" she said jokingly, realising that the girl looked a little sad. She saw Pallando scowl at her from the corner of her eye, and poked her tongue out at his in response.
"You've got a cat?" Pippa asked, as the girl approached a cage atop of her luggage. Cats were Pippa's favourite animal, ever since she was a small child. Having several of them at home, it had been difficult for Pippa to decide whom would accompany her on her journey to Hogwarts!
"So do i," Evangeline replied. Despite thinking that she could possibly be placed into another house, She thought she had most of the qualities needed to be a Ravenclaw. She really hoped she would be placed there, but she would have to see after all it was the Sorting Hat's decision.
"Nope, none at all. I don't really know why but i guess it's because of how busy my parents are always rushing around to get things done correctly," She said with a sign. It did get lonely sometimes and she would love a brother or sister but it was too late now. She shook the thought from her head.
"Oh yes, i bought her in diagon alley, This is Whisper," She said pointing to the black cat with yellow eyes in the travel cage. "I connected to her straight away," Evangeline said smiling at the kitten. She put her fingers through the bars in the cage to stroke the little kitten who purred in gratitude.

Hm... Nothing else she should know about... Why is it that that sounded like something else was going to happen?
... Ok, maybe she was going a bit loopy.
But... wait... Where was Arabella's family? "Did you come here on your own as well?" she asked, looking behind the girl and noticing the absence of an older person.

Oh! Kita started twiddling with hair, feeling slightly uncomfortable for Arabella. This was just sad. Arabella was what? Fourteen? Fifteen? Coming all the way to King's Cross on her own with all her luggage was just... sad! "How you managed to find your way here, i will never know," she said, smiling down at the girl. Who knew, that could just make her feel better about herself... right?

She turned to Beatrice ''So how long have you been here? I sort of got lost'' Luna admitted but she was sure in good time she'd find Presley, Rachel and Leo she wondered why Presley's dad didn't come.... She pushed her trolley it was heavier then last years
Violet walk through the Platform 9 3/4 very nervously because she alone, her parents just dropped her of the station and told her what to do. After entering the platform, she looked in every direction hoping that her eyes will land on someone that could help her or be her first friend...
"Hmmm.. I guess my first year is going to be lonely..."she sadly said.
She walked towards the train and looked for an empty seat. Sat there, waiting...

She smiled upon meeting her niece's friend.
"I've just arrived, not long .. " Beatrice told Luna .. "Well you know, anyone could really get lost with all the students here. " she added. She've got all the things that she need. Her trolley was very much handy, thank you.. That is without the books.
Jordin, Beezus' owl hooted rather boringly as they started walking towards the wall.

"How dreadful !" she chuckled, thinking how exhausting it was to stand there, waiting for whoever Luna was waiting for.
This is it, Beatrice is now very close to Hogwarts. One more ride and she'll be off. "I'm really excited." she told her aunt.
"Well then, let's go to the wall. " Aunt Belinda remarked, pushing the two of them towards the platform .

"I just don't know why he didn't want me to know. Or why everyone didn't want me to know." She frowned. What did they expect her to do? Throw a tantrum because her brother could do something? "He could of just told me. Anyone could have." she said bitterly. "But nooooo. Everyone decides to treat me like a baby and like... and like..."
Tears rolled down her face faster and she sobbed louder. She hugged hugged the older girl and buried her face. "And... tuh... tuh... tuh-reat me like... I'm not even... pah... pah... pah-art of the fah... fah... family..." The people she's called her 'family' for years had keeping a MAJOR part of their lives from her. And to think! She called those people "Mum" and "Dad" and "brother."
"If you're not supposed to tell anyone how did my mum and dad know about him?" she asked completely confused. "They're not... you know... too, are they?" She glanced at her parents who were in a nearby shop. They must have backed away long ago to give her some privacy.
She blinked twice. "You're whole family?" she asked blinking. "So then you've always known. Nobody kept anything from you." She narrowed her eyes skeptically. Did Mina really understand what she was going through? She couldn't possibly understand.
She could ask questions if any of this confused her. What if all of it confused her? What was she supposed to do then?
"I do have one question I'd like answered..." she said finally. "I still don't know what a 'quidditch' is. Could you tell me about it?"
So maybe she was a little bit interested in knowing what was going on with her brother. Even though she was mad at him.
Mina smiled softly as she gave Anya's pickie a shake. She already felt as if she failed the younger girl and she had no intentions of ever failing her again. No, she wouldn't be responsible for another broken promise if she could help it. "Yes, he is and like all of us, he has to keep it a secret; but you can know though. He's going to be famous one day but not because he's magical. I told you he plays football and no one on his team is to know about just how special he is, but you can be part of our secret." Evan being a wizard didn't define him and she wanted to let Anya it was just part of him. She still thought that it was still very much possible her friend was magical. The young girl was special and that maybe any hint of magical just hadn't been triggered just yet.
"You know it wasn't my place to tell you, but I wanted too." she frowned. Anya was like a sister to her but at the end of the day, she wasn't her sister and she had no right to tell her about Carter. Yet, she should have told her about herself and that was where she had wronged her friend. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you I was 'special', but I was trying to respect Carter's wishes. Again I won't make excuses for him, but if you are upset with me; I can understand completely," she added with a pout. It was a delicate subject they were touching on. It wasn't as if they didn't trust her, they did and she had a right to know. Waiting this long had been a grave mistake.
Hugging the younger girl, she rubbed her back as she tried to calm Anya down. "But you are sweetie. Your family loves you and you know that. It was a mistake to keep secrets from you, but that doesn't mean you are any less a family," she replied. Secrets weren't rare in her own family and that she was very aware of. Biting her lip, she sighed. "You know how I know that you are part of a family? Families always think they are trying to protect you by keeping things from you; in the name of love and thinking it's for the best." She never did understand that, but she was all to familiar with the reasoning.
Glancing over into the shop, she shook her head. "Carter is the first one in your family and your parents are the only people that knew about him being one of us." She knew this was going to be very hard for her to explain without confusing the girl, but she would just have to try to explain it. "You know this school that Carter and I go to? Well, we get letters each year we attend and I'm sure when Carter got his first letter, your family was confused and someone probably had to come and explain everything." The whole concept was a bit new to her seeing that Carter was her first muggle friend, but she understood what was to happy. "That was six years ago and if I were your parents, I would have been a bit sceptical about it all and unsure about what was going on. Your parents did the best they could in their shoes." She wouldn't make excuses for Carter, but it wasn't like their parents had any other real choice. If they were to talk the Ministry would have been on them.
Nodding slowly, Mina sighed. "I've always known about our world, but just because I know about it; didn't mean that I was destined to be part of it." she replied. Her family never spoke of it but there was always a chance that she could have been a squib and that terrified her family. "Every family has their secrets and they like to think that keeping them is protecting us, but in the end it only seems to hurt us and make us question what me mean to them." Yes, the secrets kept from her weren't as huge as keeping a whole world secret, but that didn't mean being lied to hurt any less. "Know one wants to be kept in the dark about something, especially when it's the people you love keeping the secret." In her seventeen years, she had many people she loved keep secrets from her and it pained her to think that they didn't trust or respect her enough to tell her the truth. One of those people that kept secrets from her was oddly enough the same person that wronged Anya. Carter was notorious for keeping secrets that only caused a girl to tear and question just what she meant.
Hearing the question, Mina could help but smile a little. "It's a game we play at school. I play as well and your brother wants to play professionally, just like how my Evan wanted to play football." It was strange to think that her boyfriend was pretty much doing the same thing as her bestie, in enter a world no their own to pursue their dreams. "It's a lot of fun, it's like football in that you need to get a ball in a goal; but there are three possible goals to get the ball through and we play," she explained before leaning in the whisper in her ear. "In the air on brooms." There was no point in sugar-coating it now. Anya wanted answers and she would give them to her friend. Leaning back, she reached into her bag and pulled out a book. "When I was your age, I never thought I would love the sport but I kind of fell in love with it," she beamed as handed her friend her own copy of "Quidditch Through the Ages". "It a confusing sport, but I love it and I really hope that I can take you to see a match one day." It would be a great bonding experience.

But back to Arabella. "How in the name of Merlin did you do that?!" she said, looking at the girl with wide-eyes, "Merlin! If i'm lost in London, now i know who to call!"

Daisy walked into the station. Alone. It was kinda scary. Her Mother had dropped her off outside the station, and then rushed off to a meeting. She was only a second year, and having someone to make sure she got on the train in time would have been nice, but her parents jobs were important and her brother was travelling abroad with friends.
Daisy heaved her trunk onto a trolley and pushed, her cat at her heels. She looked around the room quickly before leaning against a wall and pulling out a magazine...

Kita raised an eyebrow. That was... something. It made her feel bad. She had been living here for, what? Her whole life? And she still didn't know the where everything was.
Apart from all the shopping centres.
"That is something to be proud of young Arabella," she said, smiling down at the girl. Owl's being a pain? "Owl's are like that," she muttered, turning her gaze away from Arabella and looking down at her own owl, "They like to annoy you... especially when you're trying to be discreet." Silly owls and their hormones.

Practice. No statement had ever been more true. Just...don't mention the words Quidditch and practice in the same sentence around Selina. Doing so almost always resulted in Kurumi literally collapsing in her bed at the end of the day and nearly sleeping through her morning class.
Kurumi nodded to show that she agreed.
"I know," Kurumi said slowly. "It's just...I feel like this term there will be even more pressure on me to do well and I don't want to let people down..." She trailed off for a few moments as she thought, her right hand was still in her pocket. "Every year at Hog---, I mean, school always brings something unexpected."
Maybe it was about time the two of them heading towards the platform?
"Oh, are you in your OWL year, too?" That would make sense. Increased pressure. Exams. All that. But then again, Ellie would feel kind of bad not knowing the girl when she was in her very same year. "I doubt you'll let anyone down. As long as you try your best." Mhm. At least, that's what she'd been telling her mom. That she would try her best. It could be a fib, though. Ellie wasn't going to try her best in some exams. The ones she honestly didn't like or care about. Like Potions.
She tilted her head again when Kurumi corrected herself. She was going to say 'Hogwarts', right? And Ellie saw nothing wrong with calling it Hogwarts over school. They were the same thing. "I never realized that. But it's never anything you can't handle, right?" Though, Ellie was one of the people that only heard about school happenings after they happened. Like Muggles in Hogsmeade. People being cursed by Pirates. These were all things she had been blissfully unaware of. And is still blissfully unaffected by them.

Lassie was so excited to be going to Hogwarts for the first time ever. She was so excited when she got to King's Cross Station. She was waiting to meet others like her, since she came from a family of muggles. Dumbledore had explained everything, so that she could find her way onto the platform.

MERLIN! Was really that necessary this speech? First of all, he was no a little kid anymore. Second, he already knew what he had to do without his mom remind him. He rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, yeah I get it" he was starting to get annoyed "Can I leave now?" But really NOW. His mom just simply eyed him and said "Alright, I just hope you had really listen what I said". Nikolas nodded and said goodbye to them. He was finally ready to go.
Pushing his trolley, he walked towards the wall ready to walk throught it and saw the girl he had just smiled at. Nikolas saw she was with two men with business suits and stopped beside her "Ready to go?" he said and smiled.
Meeeehhhh. Amy had got so bored that even brick buster wasn't working, and her pop was still going on about "markets" and was ignoring the fact that she had 20 minutes to get her stuff away, find a compartment AND find a seat. Which was often impossible when you had a gazillion other people in your school, on your train. It was...impossible.
ZOMG. Was that a CLOCK. Saying she had FIFTEEN MINUTES.
Daaaaad she whined, pulling at his suit like a pathetic two year old, can we go now. Like, now now? But no. He just turned, pointed at his watch, and carried on chatting. Oh they had plenty of time did they? NO THEY BLOODY DIDN-
Oh. Hello? Amy turned, as she was about to go into MAHOOOOOSIVE hissy fit mode when she saw a fitty. But also, the fitty who had smiled at her. Admitedly not the huge grins she often got from friends/randoms. If I ever get to the wall, yes, Amy said with a grin, she looked at his stuff that was decked with Hogwarts logo's, Hogwarts express right?

Nikolas looked around to see if there was anyone he knew...Hmmm nope. Maybe they were already on the train and he was late thanks to his mom. Great. Hopefully he would find a seat. Back to the conversation, the girl was clearly annoyed by the attitude of her dad, Nikolas was hoping she wasn't going to punch him in the face. He was ready to recieve a "It's none of your business" in response, but luckily she gave a nice answer. He chuckled "Same here" he said and saw she looked at his trunks "Yes" he nodded, he wasn't going to ask the same thing. It was pretty obvious she was going to the same place as him "In what year are you gonna be?" he asked instead.
Oh and he has forgotten to say his name.
"Nikolas" he introduced to the girl "You?" he asked.
