And there was the blushing! Arabella was actually BLUSHING!
... Was Kita allowed to squeal yet?
"Oh my days!" she squealed, throwing her arms around the young girl and giving her a hug, "Oh look at you, growing up and thinking about boys!" ... Great(!) Now she sounded like she was Arabella's mother.
"But... does he like you back?" she asked, letting go and looking down at her with a small frown playing on her lips.

Kita raised an eyebrow. Arabella was... blushing again. Seriously? Guys had this effect on girls? How is it that Kita hadn't blushed about guys she liked before? Hm...
Never asked him? "Ask him! Subtly," 'Cause subtlety was the key! "Or you can get someone else to ask him for you. Do you want me to?" Boy would that be an interesting conversation.
But wait... "He's not dating someone else is he?" she asked, blinking down at the girl.

Ask him herself... Kita sighed and smiled at Arabella, slightly disappointed. Ok, fine, maybe this was someone's way of telling her that she shouldn't be so nosy in other people's affairs. Pfft! Like that was going to stop her!
"Well, good luck!" she said, still smiling, "Who knows, you could have a boyfriend by the end of the year." She winked down at the young girl.
Note to self: DEFINITELY 'check up' on Arabella this year...

Kita blinked. Shyness? Ok, fine, that kind of did sound like Arabella. But... the girl wasn't too shy. Was she? Maybe Kita was just forgetting simple details again... as usual.
She bit her lip. Now... this is one of those times when you give advice, right? But... how was she meant to give advice when she wasn't used to things like these? "Maybe you could... practice. Say it a few times in front of a mirror and see whether it gets easier," she said, "Or you could write a letter to him." Although words tend to have more of an impact... Why was this so darn difficult?! "Or you could kiss him," she said, shrugging her shoulders.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Well i will try practicing in front of the mirror and hmm maybe kissing him would be good" Arabella-Marie knew that she could end up being in detention but she was wanting to be a bit of a rebel this term

Kita blinked. Arabella was actually going to do it? The whole speaking-in-front-of-a-mirror-and-kissing-the-boy thing?
... Did this mean she was getting better at giving advice on the whole love/boys thing? A small smirk spread across the brunette's face; she liked the sound of that!
"So summer and boys aside, is there anything else i should know about?" she asked, smiling at her friend. Merlin knows, she hadn't seen the girl in AGES!

Yeah the dark arts was the most interesting and the history of hogwarts has allways caught chloes interest "history of magic will be good too....i wonder will we be able to duel" she said happily, Chloe looked at her watch time had passed since they had started chatting "should we make our way to the platform" she asked
Scarletts eyes widened as she noticed the time from the main clock on the wall and nodded to Chloe. "I'm actually a freak about histroy. Like, Muggle also, it's quite fascinating. I didn't even realise the time... I say we better get this show on the road... Now to find platform 9 and 10!" She smiled and walked towards the barrier.

She'd never stayed away from home longer than a couple of nights and she had no idea how she'd cope.
Her father would be the easiest to deal with, she guessed, as she saw very little of him a lot of the time. His work keeping him away from the rest of the family as a result of long and unsociable shift patterns. Her mother and little sister would be much harder. They were always around. Her mother had even worked at her old school so she was always within reach during the days too.
She took hold of her trunk, put it onto a trolley and began wheeling it into the direction of Platform 9. She knew the ticket said 9 3/4 but surely that must be some mistake? There was no such thing. A misprint on the ticket. Right?
"Are you sure you know where you're going?" asked her mother who had been the only parent who could make the trip. "There isn't a Platform 9/4. Look, there's 9 and there's 10."
"It was probably a misprint." Olivia replied. "Easy mistake to make. Right? The next train on Platform 9 is probably the one that I'm supposed to get."
"I think we'd better check with someone. It wouldn't do to miss the train to school. It's your first day and you don't want to make a bad impression after all. I'll go and ask someone for you."
Olivia's mother took her little sisters hand and went off in search of someone to ask about the train situation, leaving her to stand on her own, standing in the middle of a crowded station feeling completely and utterly alone.
Rebecca pushed her luggage cart up to the area between platform 9 and 10. She saw a confused looking girl looking at her ticket with concern. "You a first year?" she asked the girl. "Well to get to platform 9 3/4, you gotta go through the wall."

"Is it? That's interesting..." Bowing...that was even more formal than a handshake. "I simply greet with a 'hello', usually. Handshakes, they're kind of formal, don't you think? Something people our parents' age do?" She shrugged. She just didn't think it was really necessary.
Kurumi cocked her head to the side a little confused by Ellie's first comment, but things quickly resolved itself. She was going to comment on how a lack of blood was actually a very bad thing since the body required it to survive, but she was sure that wasn't what the Ravenclaw was trying to get at. "I suppose," she half giggled. At least, she wasn't physically being tormented now. "At Hogwarts, a whole new sort of hurt happens." She looked down at the ground suddenly. It wasn't exactly the sort of conversation to get into with someone she hardly knew. "I guess the only sort of injuries I will get now are from Quidditch." Or Herbology lessons since those plants seemed to always want to do something to her.
Kurumi nodded, but then found herself shaking her head as Ellie continued to talk. "Formality is something that comes in the appropriate situation," she said. At least, she thought so. She was always bowing to people, and didn't really consider it formal - unless done at the proper angle that is. "I always thought of it as showing you wanted to take an active part in getting to know someone - whatever the gesture may be."

Rebecca pushed her luggage cart up to the area between platform 9 and 10. She saw a confused looking girl looking at her ticket with concern. "You a first year?" she asked the girl. "Well to get to platform 9 3/4, you gotta go through the wall."
"Yes. I'm a first year." she answered. "Through the wall? Are you being serious?" Olivia wasn't the best at telling whether people were being serious or if they were just taking the mick.
She glanced over at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. It looked awfully solid and she was almost certain that if she tried to walk through it she'd end up with a broken nose and a crowd of people laughing at her.
Amy hadn't managed to throw her dad off with a last "bye", though admittedly, it had been a little tense when she shouted at him infront of everyone else. Especially when one of the buisnessmen recognised her father and started clapping him on the back and asking how "the wife was". Too which Amy started talking about her mother and the idiot she was. Yeah. As they started chatting about "buisness prospects" and "renovation values" she switched off and leaned next to the wall for her dad to finish his chatting so she could say "byeeee" and then just, go away. No. He was determined to say goodbye to her, and then drive off. It was really annoying, and she began to examine her nails in bordem.
She looked up, at all of the different children and parents, some short first years running excitedly, if they were half blood, purebloods were a bit dismissive and muggleborns were just scared. Hmm, she gave them all the fifth year "once over". Not dismissive, but scanning them. Her eyes continued to roam over the people until she spotted someone, also looking at her with a slight smile, and with a load of people next to him. Big send off. She looked back at him and smiled back.
Write at least two times a week. Do not forget to have everything on time. BEHAVE. Pay attention.
MERLIN! Was really that necessary this speech? First of all, he was no a little kid anymore. Second, he already knew what he had to do without his mom remind him. He rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, yeah I get it" he was starting to get annoyed "Can I leave now?" But really NOW. His mom just simply eyed him and said "Alright, I just hope you had really listen what I said". Nikolas nodded and said goodbye to them. He was finally ready to go.
Pushing his trolley, he walked towards the wall ready to walk throught it and saw the girl he had just smiled at. Nikolas saw she was with two men with business suits and stopped beside her "Ready to go?" he said and smiled.
Kurumi cocked her head to the side a little confused by Ellie's first comment, but things quickly resolved itself. She was going to comment on how a lack of blood was actually a very bad thing since the body required it to survive, but she was sure that wasn't what the Ravenclaw was trying to get at. She was always bowing to people, and didn't really consider it formal - unless done at the proper angle that is. "I always thought of it as showing you wanted to take an active part in getting to know someone - whatever the gesture may be."
Yeah, Ellie had no idea what to say to that. Mostly because she had no idea what Kurumi was talking about. Sure, she knew of different kinds of hurt but she wasn't just going to presume that that was what the Gryffindor was going on about. "Mhm." And about the Quidditch injuries? "Hopefully even those won't be too bad. But you're a wicked Seeker, so I doubt you'd let those injuries get in your way." Those were words of encouragement from Ellie Stone. And probably the only ones a rival Seeker was going to get.
She agreed with the girl, actually. That formality came in the appropriate situations or whatever. She'd just hardly consider a greeting after accidentally physically abusing Kurumi one of those situations. "Oh, don't get me wrong. I'd love to get to know you." Ellie'd be happy to get to know anyone.
So, seeing as they still had a bit of time to kill before the train would leave them, why not start that process, hmm? "Have a good summer? You ready for school?"

If only Carter had been able to control his hormones for one. "Well, I promised I would see you and here I am now," she smiled softly after watching her bestie walk off. They would seriously have to talk about this all, but it would have to wait until she had cooled down and there wasn't so many people around. "Boys are never really good at keeping promises, but you know I am. So how about this? Next summer, I promise to see you for sure. I'll be at Park Lane all summer and we will play kites in Hyde Park and if the boys are well behaved; I'll let my Evan meet you," she smiled. Evan had mentioned wanting to meet her one day and she wanted the two of them to meet since they did mean a lot to her.
Shaking her head, she let out a giggle at the wink. "Oh, it was a lot of fun. We went to the London Eye, Regent's Park, got lost in the underground and explored the city." she beamed as she thought about the ten days they had together. "Getting to see him before he left for camp was nice, but I miss him. I hope I see him again and hopefully I'll get to take you with me to a match. I pinkie swear it will happen," she laughed as she offered her pinkie. They had talked about it, but it was once again one of the things planned but cancelled because of a certain person.
Glancing back at the entrance, she frowned before looking back to Anya. She did hate to see her so upset over this and it hurt her to think that she should have been there this whole time. A part of her had wanted to just show up at their home and all, but that wasn't what a lady did and she had to do things the right way by Carter and his family. Yet that part of her was kicking her now that she saw how upset Anya was. "Well, you know you can always trust me."
Moving her trolley out of the way, she frowned at the crying girl. "I'm not going to make excuses for your brother. I'm sure your house guest had made enough of them for him. He should have told you and I know if I were you, I would be upset too. You are right to be." she voiced. It wasn't like he could hide this world from her forever.
"I will tell you one thing about your brother, sweetie. Sometimes he just doesn't think before he acts. He'll say one thing and then forget that he has said it. Then he'll do something and not even realize how it will affect others. Most boys are like that and your brother is no different." she sighed. Being Carter's bestie took a lot out of her at times and she wouldn't change it for the world, but the boy sure did cause her more problems than he was worth. "In our world, we aren't supposed to tell anyone about our world that isn't like us. I know it's silly, but it's so other people don't hurt us or try to use it against us." The whole statute was going to be hard to explain to her, but if it was needed she would go into it for her little buddy. "He should have told you since you are family and he should have told you that it would have to be a secret, but he wasn't thinking like he should have." Merlin, did that boy never think about some of the more important things.
"I really don't know what he was thinking when he thought it was smart to cancel our plans and all, but who knows what does through his mind," she shrugged. "If I were in the same shoes I would have told you a long time ago and it would have been our little secret, but your brother and I are different. My whole family is from our world and there was no secret for us, but not all families are like mine. Do you understand?" She didn't want to have to get into the whole blood thing and confuse her, but she wanted to make sure she understood all the same.
"I mean, you know you can ask me anything. If any of this confused you, just tell me and I'll try to explain it the best I can." There was a lot she could tell Anya, but their time was limited now.
Anya sniffled. She held out her pinky and shook Mina's with it. She still looked a bit skeptical. "Is your boyfriend... Evan... one of you guys too?" she asked. She wasn't sure how much more of these people with "secret" lives she could take. It just wasn't fair that they were all keeping stuff from her.
"I just don't know why he didn't want me to know. Or why everyone didn't want me to know." She frowned. What did they expect her to do? Throw a tantrum because her brother could do something? "He could of just told me. Anyone could have." she said bitterly. "But nooooo. Everyone decides to treat me like a baby and like... and like..."
Tears rolled down her face faster and she sobbed louder. She hugged hugged the older girl and buried her face. "And... tuh... tuh... tuh-reat me like... I'm not even... pah... pah... pah-art of the fah... fah... family..." The people she's called her 'family' for years had keeping a MAJOR part of their lives from her. And to think! She called those people "Mum" and "Dad" and "brother."
"If you're not supposed to tell anyone how did my mum and dad know about him?" she asked completely confused. "They're not... you know... too, are they?" She glanced at her parents who were in a nearby shop. They must have backed away long ago to give her some privacy.
She blinked twice. "You're whole family?" she asked blinking. "So then you've always known. Nobody kept anything from you." She narrowed her eyes skeptically. Did Mina really understand what she was going through? She couldn't possibly understand.
She could ask questions if any of this confused her. What if all of it confused her? What was she supposed to do then?
"I do have one question I'd like answered..." she said finally. "I still don't know what a 'quidditch' is. Could you tell me about it?"
So maybe she was a little bit interested in knowing what was going on with her brother. Even though she was mad at him.

She always had a hard time slicing up her leeches in potions for example. How could she be wicked...oh...wait...right, British slang. Kurumi giggled, hopefully that covered up her confused expression. "I still have a lot t learn," she said shaking her head. "I hope one day I can really earn such a compliment," she said, blushing a bit. For now, she really didn't deserve it.
Kurumi smiled once more. "That's good," she nodded. "I'd hate to think that I was forcing you to stay here and talk to me." She was sure Ellie was busy with...whatever was in those binders.
"I think...I'm ready," she said slowly as her hand gripped the tiny badge in her pocket. She was ready for schoolwork and seeing all her friends again. Well, almost everyone.
Her heart sank for a moment. She had what was sure to be one of the most awkward reunions on the train ever.
"Actually, I am more nervous about this term than I have been any other."
All thoughts of summer had completely escaped her now.

Ellie was confused that Kurumi looked confused. She knew sometimes words didn't come out the way she'd meant. But she was fairly certain that what she said was unmistakably a compliment.
Then the girl's expression changed, and so did Ellie's. "Only Practice could make you better." Because you could always be better in Ellie's book. So, she wasn't saying Kurumi was terrible. But then, it wasn't something you could learn out of a book, as Conan thought. You really did need practice.
"Not at all." No, really. Had Ellie wanted out of the conversation, she would have simply apologized and walked away.
Maybe she didn't, but the Ravenclaw thought she understood Kurumi completely. "I think I am, too. But we might as well be excited, ready or not, right?" It was September 1st. They were about to board the train, whether they were mentally ready or not. So...might as well look forward to it all.
She tilted her head to the side. "Why's that? You're..." What year was the girl in? Nevermind. "You've been through this before." At least once. "It's not like there will be any surprises." Save for perhaps Staff changes.

Waddling just a bit, she set Walnut on top of one of the trunks.
He seriously needed to go on a diet.
"I-I'm Kurumi," she chirped, bowing slightly.
"That's good," Everett said with a nod when she said she was alright. Talking to her cat? "Ah, makes sense. My o-" He stopped himself before he could finish his word. Everett didn't know if this girl was a witch or not, so it probably was best he didn't mention his pet owl, which had been left at home, so that he didn't have to worry about the owl while he was on the train. His parents were planning on sending the owl the next day with it's supplies and cage minimized and lightened. Everett quickly came up with a lie. "My pet dog has never been on a train, but in the car ride after I bought him it hadn't coped well with travel." More like in the floo ride afterwards his owl hadn't coped.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Everett," He said, before looking in surprise as she sorta bowed to him.

He knew he was special, but wow, considering he had just met her, she wouldn't actually know that he deserved bows yet... "Why did you bow?"
"Really, mine too," Evangeline said getting rather excited. "I really hope i'm in Ravenclaw," She said with a slight frown. What if she didnt make it into Ravenclaw she thought but shook her head to rid the thought.
Evangeline watched as Pippa looked over at her brothers. "Your going to miss them aren't you?" She asked curiously. "No, i don't," Evangeline said shaking her head. Looking around she noticed that many of the hogwarts students had large families only a few were on their own. She shook her head again.
Evangeline checked on Whisper her kitten who was perched on her trunk in a travel cage. She ignored Evangeline and turned away making her laugh. The poor cat didnt like being in a cage.
"Wow!" Pippa exclaimed upon hearing that all of Evangeline's family had been Ravenclaw's, too. "I really hope we both make it, then" she continued, feeling a little ball of nerves form in her stomach at the thought of not being placed into Ravenclaw house. "Any house would be lucky to have you, pumpkin" her father had told her that morning when Pippa confided her fears of breaking the family tradition. Although his words were comforting, Pippa still feared being placed anywhere other than Ravenclaw.
Pippa noticed Evangeline watching her as she looked at her brothers. "Yeah..." she replied, letting out a small sigh, "as annoying as they are, at the best of times, I'm gonna miss them..." she finished. "None at all?" questioned Pippa in surprise, upon hearing that the girl didn't have any siblings. Wow she thought to herself, as she tried to imagine life without her three younger brothers. "Siblings can be painful though" she said jokingly, realising that the girl looked a little sad. She saw Pallando scowl at her from the corner of her eye, and poked her tongue out at his in response.
"You've got a cat?" Pippa asked, as the girl approached a cage atop of her luggage. Cats were Pippa's favourite animal, ever since she was a small child. Having several of them at home, it had been difficult for Pippa to decide whom would accompany her on her journey to Hogwarts!

Practice. No statement had ever been more true. Just...don't mention the words Quidditch and practice in the same sentence around Selina. Doing so almost always resulted in Kurumi literally collapsing in her bed at the end of the day and nearly sleeping through her morning class.
Kurumi nodded to show that she agreed.
"I know," Kurumi said slowly. "It's just...I feel like this term there will be even more pressure on me to do well and I don't want to let people down..." She trailed off for a few moments as she thought, her right hand was still in her pocket. "Every year at Hog---, I mean, school always brings something unexpected."
Maybe it was about time the two of them heading towards the platform?

Adjusting her grip on the basket again, Kurumi cocked her head to the side when he began to say something, but then suddenly changed what he was going to say. Looking around a bit, Kurumi searched for some sort of sign as to what had caused his sudden change, but nothing really caught her eye - besides the trunks he had with him. "You have a dog? I do as well, well, my family does."
Her eyes glanced over at the trunks again.
"It's lovely to meet you Everett. Are you heading to..."
But she stopped herself when she noticed the face he was making at her. Had she done something wrong? Was there something on her face? MERLIN! Her hair was doing it again?
To her relief, he was merely asking her about why she was bowing. Well, that certainly made her feel a little more at ease.
"S-S-Sorry!" she squeaked flailing her arms just a bit. "I-I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. It is how I have been raised to greet people. I keep forgetting that in London people to handshakes..." She offered her hand for a proper one.

Sean made his way through the crowd, looking around. Uhm.. 9 3/4..? He felt lucky he had pureblood parents, because otherwise he'd think someone was joking. But a number like that was exactly one of those quirky things wizards would come up with.
He stopped to look around; lucky he came early. Maybe he'd even meet someone? Not likely though. Summer had just passed so quickly, and Sean had been caught up in all the moving-stuff. Gargh. Not the best summer -- but he was beyond excited to go to Hogwarts.
As he looked around the station, he spotted a blonde short haired girl. nah, it can't be.. he thought to himself.
He sneaked up behind Fee, covered her eyes with his hands, and said "Guess who? I'll give you a hint; I walk into people because it's a good way to start a conversation"
Fee stood there waiting for her brother and sighed. If she flirted around like this he would freak out and tell her to stay at home for the rest of her life.Totally unawesome. And now the Slytherin was here all alone and bored. That didnt seem like the best start for the new year. But stillthe girl couldnt be more stoked to go back. She was already a fourth year, time flew by sooo fast. The blonde was turning 15 in a few weeks that was soo crazy.
Just as the fourth year was about to walk around a little bit soeone covered her eyes. What the glitter?!Who was that?!Covering the persons hands with her own the girl smiled as the she recognized the voice."Mmmhhhh let me guess",the girl chuckled,"are you blond, tall and quite good looking?"Of course the Slytherin was joking around, even though he was all those things.

Rachel was finally at the station, it took her four and a half hours to get here in the car, she looked around and saw no sign of Luna or Presley. She turned towards her dad, "I can't see them," she told him,
"I'm sure they are here," her father told her, he hoped that at last he would get to see the famous Luna and Presley.
rachels face lit up, "There's Luna!" she said joyfully, and walked up to her, she would have ran, however the station was packed and she had to squeeze past everyone. She then reached Luna, "Hi!" she said.
