Olivia could feel her stomach twisting and turning, making her feel slightly queasy. September 1st had finally arrived and she would soon be boarding a train which was to take her to a school in a different country, far away from her family and friends, where she would have to stay for the best part of the year. She'd never stayed away from home longer than a couple of nights and she had no idea how she'd cope.

Her father would be the easiest to deal with, she guessed, as she saw very little of him a lot of the time. His work keeping him away from the rest of the family as a result of long and unsociable shift patterns. Her mother and little sister would be much harder. They were always around. Her mother had even worked at her old school so she was always within reach during the days too.

She took hold of her trunk, put it onto a trolley and began wheeling it into the direction of Platform 9. She knew the ticket said 9 3/4 but surely that must be some mistake? There was no such thing. A misprint on the ticket. Right?

"Are you sure you know where you're going?" asked her mother who had been the only parent who could make the trip. "There isn't a Platform 9/4. Look, there's 9 and there's 10."

"It was probably a misprint." Olivia replied. "Easy mistake to make. Right? The next train on Platform 9 is probably the one that I'm supposed to get."

"I think we'd better check with someone. It wouldn't do to miss the train to school. It's your first day and you don't want to make a bad impression after all. I'll go and ask someone for you."

Olivia's mother took her little sisters hand and went off in search of someone to ask about the train situation, leaving her to stand on her own, standing in the middle of a crowded station feeling completely and utterly alone.

"Had, past tense," Kurumi nodded with an awkward Gryffindor sort of smile. No, it wasn't something she was proud of looking back. Honestly, how many people were happy to know that they could survive being kicked in the stomach while they lied in mud, among many other things? "Really, I'm fine. Not even a bloody nose, see." She finally removed her hand from her nose, which was a little red, but nothing like a clown nose to be sure.

Good, she could rest easily knowing that Ellie's binders were safe.

Well, that answered her question. "S-S-Sorry," she stammered again, bowing while she did. "I-It's how we greet where I am from and since you didn't do a hand shake...I assume that you greet differently..."

Could things be any more awkward?

Evangeline was unaware that some one had approached her, she was too busy following her parents. When someone spoke to her she turned around. Standing next to her was a girl who looked vaguely familiar, Evangeline remembered she had seen her in many shops in Diagon Alley but she never ahd the chance to speak to her.

Evangeline saw the girl wink at the word platform and she laughed slightly. "Indeed i am," she said with a smile. Obviously they were both going to Hogwarts, and the girl looked like a first year too. Evangeline shook Pippa's hand. "It's nice to meet you Pippa, I'm Evangeline," She said. She was vaguely aware that here parents had stopped walking and were pretending to have a conversation.

Dani sighed as she trudged along with her trunk. She'd be meeting Philip soon but it was bad enough that she had had to make her own way here which had been pretty stressful. She could have just got Luke but he was way too busy with his own life right then. And she was sixteen years old. Perfectly capable of getting there herself.

She looked around and wondered if there was anyone from school about, both people she knew and didn't know, it was always good meetig new people!

Luna looked around finally going back to Hogwarts she was really excited!!! so excited that she bumped into a girl she looked like she was going itno sixth or her seventh year at Hogwarts ''Oh s-sorry'' said Luna immediatly

Atleast nothing fell of her trolley!!!!!!

Dani jumped when someone bumped into her. "Oh! I... It's okay!"she said softly as she smiled reassuringly at the younger and very excited looking girl.

"You must be off to Hogwarts too. Are you a second year? Third year?" she asked her curiously before realising she hadn't introduced herself yet. "I'm Dani by the way!" she said softlyeih one of her usual big, dazzling smiles.

''Second year!'' Luna replied ''But i'm still excited!!!'' realived that the girl didn't mind

''Nice to meet you Dani i'm Luna'' and she moved her trolley

Cass looked around the station warily as she pushed her trolley forward. It was her first time getting on the train on her own. Without her mother and all that. She had been too busy with her work for the Ministry to make time to make sure she boarded the train and all that. Not that she minded of course. It just..sort of unsettled the little blonde.

"Platform 9 and 3/4..." Cass murmured quietly to herself as she pushed on, mindful of the muggles around her as she slowly passed platforms 1 and 2

Dani nodded and smiled at... Luna. That was a lovely name. Luna. It was very... magical, so to speak. It related to the moon and everything. She sighed happily as she moved and shifted her handbag further up her shoulder. It was full of sweets and magazines for the journey, although she knew she would be distracted by Philip.

She smiled at Luna again- "I'm going into sixth year" she said softly as she brushed back her blonde curls from her face, they never stayed clipped back as she wanted them to. "And I'm glad you're excited for school!" she smiled widely again.

Hmmmm??? I know i've seen Dani before...... Oh yes at the at the carnivelle with ehhh Phillip... LaCroix.. LaCrox!!!

Sixth year!!! It was probably just her but she never really wanted to go in to her sixth year or seventh year at all ''Aren't you aswell? or is it just like any old daytrip when your going into your sixth year?'' Luna asked curiously she knew she'd never get sick of Hogwarts

Dani spotted a somewhat familiar face nearby and waved over at Cass, she knew she had been a good friend of her cousin Tay. Which reminded her of the heap of wedding invites Tay had given her to give out.

Dani nodded- "Yeah I am excited!I think this year is gonna be good to be honest!" she said softly with a big smile before hearing what Luna said next. "Well my fifth year was my first at Hogwarts, I went to Beauxbatons before. So I'm still getting used to the school. I'm just glad OWLs are out of the way" she laughed.

"Lovely to meet you" Pippa replied. "First year?" she questioned, smiling at the girl. Despite having plenty of cousins that had either attended Hogwarts, or were still attending, Pippa still didn't know a single soul entering into their first year, so it would be comforting to know at least one person before they boarded the Hogwarts Express.

Pippa noticed that the girl's parents, as well as her own, had stopped their hurried journey to the platform, and checking her watch, realised that they'd better get a move on. "Want to find the platform together?" Pippa asked politely. It would be extremely rude to walk off without asking, Pippa thought to herself, especially considering they were headed to the same place!

''Oh I couldn't imagine coming to Hogwarts and then you had to exams!'' said Luna

"I know" Dani sighed a little unhappily as she thought about that stress filled year. Glad this one would be fatherless stress filled and hopefully more relaxing. Even though she was going to have to work seriously hard this year anyway. She then pointed towards the wall nearby- "Shall we?"she smiled as she pulled her trunk towards the wall nearby.

Everett was walking, eyes on the platform numbers, looking for 9 and 10. He wasn't about to give himself a concussion by trying to go through the wrong platforms and just hitting brick walls. He especially didn't want to run at the wrong platform because it would be embarrassing and probably would raise a few awkward questions that he wouldn't be able to answer. He gave another glance at all the platform signs, making sure his excitement to get to Hogwarts wasn't making him see different numbers on the signs, before he started walking towards where he could see what he hoped was 9 and 10.

Then out of the bottom of his eye, he saw a girl picking up a pet carrier in front of him, where he was about to walk in to, and stopped immediately, glad to see he hadn't run into her when he wasn't paying proper attention. Everett grinned at her when she said hello with a slight stutter. He wondered a little if there was a reason she seemed shy or if it was just in her nature. He doubted it was his intimidation making her shy, (even though he wanted it to be so he could claim it as awesomeness for himself) he guessed it was just that she was shy. "Hi, you OK there?"

"Yep, I guess you are too?" Evangeline said with a smile. "Are you excited for Hogwarts? oh and do you have any idea about your house?" Evangeline asked getting excited. This was the beginning of a new part of her life and she was so excited for it.

Evangeline glanced at the large clock and saw the time, "Sure," She replied and called her parents over so she could walk with Pippa to the platform.

Still in kneeling position on the ground, Kurumi realized that she probably looked rather ridiculous. "I-I'm alright," she nodded. Oh dear, did he think she had fallen? Tripped over her own carrier? Or perhaps a crack in the ground? Well, there were only a few cracks in the ground, but those were hardly the type to cause one to trip. "I was just...talking to my cat, Walnut. He...he hates being in the luggage compartment for the first portion of the train rides."

Kurumi stood back up, wicker cat carrier in held in her arms almost like a baby, and looked over her shoulder at her modest little trolley. Kurumi didn't have many things. There was one trunk for all her clothes, school robes, and textbooks, a bag containing all her baking supplies, and then a medium sized trunk that was filled with more books. Waddling just a bit, she set Walnut on top of one of the trunks.

He seriously needed to go on a diet.

"I-I'm Kurumi," she chirped, bowing slightly.

"Yep, first year for me, too!" Pippa replied with enthusiasm. "Ravenclaw for sure" Pippa replied proudly, "All my family have been Ravenclaws" she finished, hoping she didn't sound like a know-it-all or anything like that. "What about you?" Pippa asked, curiously.

The two of them walked together towards the platform, chatting constantly with their families close behind. As they reached a larger group of students, Pippa glanced over to her younger brother, Pallando, who returned her smile with a sheepish grin. It hadn't hit Pippa until now, but she was really going to miss Pallando, as annoying as he could be at times. She looked down at Sigo and Salmar, the twins, who were far too engrossed in teasing Spook through the bars of his cage to notice.

"Do you have any siblings?" Pippa asked Evangeline, noticing that she was only accompanied by her mother and father.

"Hello. I guess you're first year at Hogwarts too, judging from your belongings?" said Kiyomi, smiling.

This is it, Beatrice thought. She roamed her eyes immediately upon arriving at the Public Square. The place is just oozing with many people.

Hogwarts students ? Great. They all seem to have parents with them or at least a guardian.
She sighed as she continued walking. There might seem to be a hundred reasons why she shouldn't bother looking at those students being sent off by their families. And that reason is something she wouldn't like to admit herself.

Adam approached the Station with clammy hands. Sure he was used to bouncing from school to school, but then again Hogwarts was much bigger than any of the other schools he had gone too, and he had never had to run through a brick wall to get onto a train platform before. As a matter of fact Adam had never really done any traveling on a train, so this was definitely going to be a new experience for him.

Walking towards the station Adam looked around at the people, wondering how many of them were muggles and how many of them were wizards like himself.

Dani stood not far away, she'd stupidly forgotten something and Luke was going to run it over for her. She sighed and looked around, smiling as she saw the guy nearby, he looked a little... nervous. "You okay?" she called out to him as she perched on her trunk and watched him closely.

Yeah, he was about her age, maybe a little younger. And maybe a newbie, he looked kinda nervous.

''Yeah sure'' Luna replied

"Yes." she replied while nervously looking around for her mother and sister who had been gone a while now. She paused before remembering that she hadn't introduced herself. "I'm Olivia by the way."

Adam had looked down at the slip in his hand to make sure that he didn't go propelling himself at the wrong brick wall. After all an incident of him crashing and going rear end over tea kettle would not have been a very good way to start off his year at a new school. Not to mention all the attention that he would receive. He looked up at the sound of someone asking if he was okay. Turning to look he spotted a girl perched on top of a suitcase that looked similar to his own. Surely she was a witch, right?

"Um...yeah, just a little...well, not lost but not familiar with the station," Adam said, wheeling his things over to her. "I take it you go to Hogwarts?" Adam asked, eyeing the girl for a moment to make sure she was indeed a witch.
