Finally the day had come. I had already packed and checked my trunk the day before. I couldn't even sleep at noght because of the excitement. And that is a lot to say if you are me. I love sleep!
Once we arrived at Kings Cross Station I spotted many people I recognized to be wizards and witches heading to Hogwarts Express with their parents carrying trunks and owl cages. I was so relieved. I did know about the run-in-the column-between-platforms-9-and-10-when-no-one-is-looking thing, but I was sure it was easier said than done. I was hoping to find another student and not let go until I see Hogwarts Express in front of me. :tackle:
Did I mention that I was late as always? Hmm yeah typical of me... So I was litterally racing through Public Square with my parents, heading for the Platforms.
hebe has just arrived, finally i arrived at the king cross she thought. then look at the clock and hebe know she almost too late
hebe with half running towards platform 9 3 / 4
Guess we should hurry this up since the train has started...

Most of their summer was spent not relying on magic and it was a welcome change. "Sweetie, everyone is different but it's not like everyone can see how different we are just by looking at us." Looks were always deceiving after all.
"Sweetie, don't say that," she frowned. "I wanted to tell you and if I had my way, I would have took you sooner." It was getting later and later for Anya to know and Mina had almost had it. She would have probably stormed the Phillips home at the beginning of the summer and told Anya herself if it hadn't been for the promise that Carter was having her over to help break the news to Anya. "We were always going to tell you, I know I was going to tell you my secret. It is mine to tell and I wanted you to know. It doesn't change who I am or how I feel though." She wasn't really allowed to talk about a part of her life to her friend, but that was over now. "You know if Carter wouldn't hve told you, I would have done it. It was silly to wait this long on something this important." There were enough lies swimming around them and it was time to stop all the lies.
"Because he is Carter," she shook her head. "Between the two of us, you must know that sometimes it seems the world has to revolve around him." Yeah, like the had to wonder where he got a ludicrous idea from. It was so the company he was keeping again. "Your dim brother has that effect on people, but I'll let you in a secret. As much as I love him, I love you more and I'm on your side. I should hve told you even though it wasn't my place and I'm sure I would have gotten in trouble for it; but you should have known sooner." Keeping lies were only going to make things even more difficult in the end. If Carter thought this was bad, he was probably in for worst in the future. "There is a law that says we aren't to talk about being able to do the things we do." This statute was going to be the death of today. "A long time ago, being able to do what we could do wasn't safe. People would want to take advantage of us, make us out to be freaks and the what not. You know we are still people, we have the same blood. We just have a different kind of talent." This whole conversation was not going as she planned, but she was willing to take the little girls anger. She had wronged her and it was her punishment. "You know who Carter is, you just weren't allowed to know a part of who he is. You know there are parts of Carter that I don't even know about and to be honest I don't want to know about." She had learned a long time ago, that she would never truly know who her besties was and in turn he would probably know who she was really. Glancing back to the shop, she bit her lip. "They always wanted to tell you. I know this and if they had their way, you would have known a long time ago too." They all know that lying was going to bit them in the end, but they had all made their beds now.
Nodding her head, she frowned. "Yes, there is always a chance that not everyone get to be as talented as other." She wasn't supposed to know that her own family feared her to be a squib, but she came to find out things after time. "I like to believe that we are all born with magic, some people can use it like we do; when as other people can channel it into other talents." There was a spark in everyone and sometimes that spark was enough to trigger sometime in them early on. "It's this statute that we all must follow, there are rules and a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo. But you know, I think you should have been told before." It would have been easier for everyone if it had happened years ago. "If they would have told you when you were younger, would you have thought they were just pulling your leg?" She couldn't really put herself in her friend's shoes, but she would surely try. "You know the if I were you and someone told me all this when I was little I would have laughed and thought they were being silly with me. But you know it's real now." If she hadn't been exposed to the muggle world in her youth, she probably would have had the same reaction if another whole world was dropped in her lap like so.
Carter hadn't told her everything, but she could only assume that he was doing what Jacob had wanted and done. She wasn't a fool to think he would want to play professionally, but it hurt that she was finding out the way she was now. Hearing the name, she blinked. "Puddlemere United? You were in Puddlemere?" she asked. The city didn't even exist to anyone outside the wizarding world and her friend had been there. That was interesting. Noticing the look on her face, she let a tiny smile form on her lips. "You get the hang of it after a while, they are all close together and it makes protecting the goals more interesting." She could never be a keeper, but she did have respect for all the keepers she know, well aside from a few. "You know I never think about falling when I'm up there playing," she smiled as she shrugged a shoulder. "I've never really fallen off when I'm up high, but it's kind of like a bike or riding a horse. You have to keep your balance." She wasn't even going to do into depth about all the other stuff involved, that would have to wait for another time.
Smiling, she nodded. "Cool isn't it?" The excitement that she would see in her friend's eye made her heart melt a little. This was a special moment and it was almost ruined before it could happen. Yes, she would have to have words with a certain Gryffie.
"Sweetie, if you were really able to see Puddlemere and can remember it. I'm allowed to take you with me to a match," she announced to her friend. "Our summer girl time was taken away from us and I'm putting my foot down about it." She would take her friend with her even if it meant she would have to take a trip down to the ministry for her behaviour. Plus, she still stood by the fact that she felt there was something extremely special about the little girl and there was a strong spark in her.
Looking back at her friend, she nodded. "You know you can ask me anything," she replied. There were too many secrets and she did owe Anya the truth. "I'm not going to make excuses for him. I'm mad at him myself and I know how you feel. He had to keep it a secret because of the statute really and until he turned 17." It would had been breaking the rules to tell her sooner, but it wasn't like they hadn't broken rules before. "He meant well and I know he does feel bad, but it was his decision to keep it from you all summer. I would be mad about that especially, but you can only do so much when you have rules to follow." It was so much easier to be mad about Carter for keeping secrets though and even as his bestie, she felt he brought some of the anger upon himself.
Anya frowned. She was still overly confused. She'd had a couple weeks to take in the news, but it still was overwhelming and she still had no idea how to react.
"I know... and I'm not mad at you." she said with a little nod. "Just confused I guess..." She really should have realized something was different because they didn't talk about school much. "So this law... is everyone going to get in trouble now?" she asked. She looked around as if expecting people to swoop in on them. "Because... I found out on his birthday. I can tell them that... It was an accident." She was pretty upset still, but that didn't mean she wanted Carter to go to jail. Or Mina. Or her parents.
"I dunno... maybe... but it's not like you don't have proof..." Anya replied when Mina asked if she would have believed it a few years ago.
"Well, not exactly. That was just what Carter kept calling it. All the signs said 'River Piddle'." she explained. "But there had to be something else there... like an amusement park or something. I saw these big lollipops out in the marshes from the balcony." she said with a shrug. "I guess that wasn't an amusement park though..." she added thoughtfully.
She glanced up at the clock. Mina would have to go soon. Anya gave the older girl a hug. "Thanks for everything." she said with a small smile. "I hope you are allowed to take me. This book will tell me what I need to know about the game right?" she asked holding up the book a little. She may still be a little upset now, but she was sure that one day she'd be excited to see everything. ...That was, if they let her.
"I can write to you while you're at school right? Carter did tell me about that. He said his owl can take things to school. Did you know he had an owl?" Anya had no idea. It made her wonder where he hid such a thing. "I hope you have a good term. Maybe I can see you at Christmas? Will you be in London then?"

Denice loaded her stuff on a troley and started looking excitedly for platform 9 3/4. When she reached platform 9 she looked around but she could see nowhere the platform she needed. after platform 9, it came platform 10.
"Hm that's quite strange....Platform 9 3/4 should be somewhere in the middle" she thought. Without panicking she decided to wait and see if anyone else like her came. And after about 10 minutes she did see a family heading to the wall between platforms 9 and 10 and leaning comfortably on it. And suddenly they disappeared!!!
"Of course...It's a magical world after all" Denice thought and she headed straight to the wall. She touched it and yeahhh she found herself in a platform where there was a sign reading 9 3/4. She had made it!!!
I shall keep it short...shorter than usual. Novel to come later.

It made her wonder where he hid such a thing. "I hope you have a good term. Maybe I can see you at Christmas? Will you be in London then?"
Mina frowned as well as she saw the look on Anya's face. It was all a bit confusing and she wished there was more she could do about it all. She knew there were more questions and she wanted to help answer them, but their time was limited at the moment.
"I'm sorry that I had to keep it from you," she pouted. Her own birthday was in June, so it would have been okay for her to tell her friend and if there were consequences, she would have been ready to face them then. "I know it's confusing, the first time I learned about your world; I was a bit confused too, but look at me now." She was living in the muggle world basically now and enjoying it. "I don't think so, if it happened on his birthday and he was of age to really tell you; we should all be fine. Besides, if we were in trouble; I would think they would have done something by now." It had been weeks and no one had received a visit from the ministry yet.
"You know we should have trusted you but we weren't being smart about it," she replied. Learning about a whole secret world didn't really sound all that feasible if you didn't see it for yourself. "A world of magic sounds like a fairy tale to most people in the muggle world."
Nodding her head, she listened to Anya. "You saw the goals of a quidditch pitch," she smiled. "Those lollipops were the three goals I was talking about." Thinking about it, she could see why Anya thought it was an amusement park though. The atmosphere could be very much the same at both. "Well, that sounds like Puddlemere to me." She still hadn't heard of many non-magical folk being that close to Puddlemere and still remember being there. She would have to look into it once she got to the castle.
Hearing a faint ringing in the distance, she looked to the clock and frowned. She needed to get to the platform and get settled in, but there was still more she could explain to the younger girl. Returning her attention back to Anya, she hugged her back and smiled. "Your are welcome and I just wish I could have explained more to you," she replied. There were still so many unanswered questions and she knew it. "I will find a way to get you to a match, I promise you that." she added. If there was a way, she would find it. "It should tell you the basics of the game and history about the game and other games like it. If you have other questions, you know you can just write me." She knew there would be more questions and welcomed them.
"Of course you can write me! In fact, I expect you to write me all the time." she responded. "Apollo? He's friends with my owl, Diana. They like to chase each other." she nodded. Their owls were more friends than Mina and Carter sometimes. "I will try to have a nice term, but you must promise me; you will think about what I told you and maybe write Carter once this term. I just ask for one owl and you don't even have to be nice, if you don't want to." If that at least were talking to each other, it was an improvement and a start. "It's a date then! I'll be seeing you at Christmas, I plan on coming home to London to spend it with the people I love and you are obviously one of those people."
Giving Anya a finally hug, she stood up and lead her back to the Phillips, before gathering her things and making her way through the station and to the platform.
Pixxi knew that they were running late, but this was just riddiculus. Her father Karl, her elder brothers Felix who would be attending his last year at Hogwarts and Percy who would be attending his fourth year at Hogwarts and her little sister Kayla had used Floo powder to get to a friend of their dad's house only 10 minutes away King's Cross Station by foot. That was if no one was carrying large trunks and was in a bad mood to begin with. As they walked amongst muggles, Pixxi's dad couldn't exactly use a hovering charm to lift the suitcases. Kayla was complaining loudly that she really hated stressing. 'You're not the only one,' Pixxi thought, but she had somehow managed to lose her speaking voice.
Once they arrived at the entrance of King's Cross Station, all of them were out of breath. Pixxi looked at the big clock above them. 10.49. They had 11 minutes to get trolleys, get through Platform 9 3/4 and get on the train with all the luggage. Her dad must've been thinking about the exact same thing, as he disappeared for just a second and came back with three trolleys. He started loading Pixxi's trunk on one of them, while Felix and Percy did the same with theirs. Kayla jumped on top of her trunk and scootched over so Pixxi could sit aswell. She jumped on right next to her sister and held the traveling cage with her meowing ginger cat Bellsnickles (Bells for shorts) on her lap. Felix was already jogging towards Platform 9 3/4, and Karl trotted after, closely followed by Percy. As she sat on the trunk, holding Bells for dear life while watching people around her stressing equally as much as they did, she thought that 'this is the last time I see the muggle world before I'm a Hogwarts student.' Excitement mixed with nervousness fluttered in her stomack while closing in on the familiar signs that read '9' and '10' on each side of the square wall that would take them to Platform 9 3/4.
Joaquin knew he was really late. His Muggle parents thought this was just ridiculous but they didn't know anything. He entered King's Cross station by himself and he looked up at the big clock , it was 10:53. He had 7 minutes left. Luckily he knew much about King's Cross Station. He knew where Platform 9 3/4 was. And there it was between the numbers 9 and 10. It was time. He ran as fast as he could, excitement and nervousness mixed in his stomach and as he passed the wall , he saw the train which would bring him to Hogwarts.
Aarron very nervously walked with her family through king's cross station. She was freaking out about changing schools. Her family had moved, so instead of heading off to Durmstring as usual, she was now trying to find her way onto platform 9 3/4. Honestly, it was alot easier to find than she thought it would be. Muggles may not notice people dissappearing through a brick wall, but she certainly did. Aarron casually followed her new classmates through the barrer with little time to spare. She did make time to quickly hug her parents and siblings goodbye as she hurried away. Not to see them until this year was over.
Evangeline watched the little boy play with the cat and smiled, he was a cute little boy. "He seems rather sweet," Evangeline said, watching the boy retreat at his sisters words. Slowly she frowned she'd never had that experience with anyone because she had no brothers and sisters. She was an only child. She'd tried to put on a happy face while looking at Pippa's cat.
Evangeline approached the cage ontop of the trunk, she put her hand out to the grey cat with gorgeous blue eyes. The cat licked her fingers wth it's rough tounge, making her laugh as it tickled.
Evangeline glanced at the wall which magically took you to the hogwarts platform. She gulped, this was it. Slowly she stepped forward and her parents accompenied her as she walked down the platform.
"Here goes," Evangeline called to Pippa. Her parents ran at the wall ahead of her showing her what to do. Taking a deep breath, Evangeline cast one last look at her new friend Pippa, who would follow her shortly. Pushing her trolley she ran at the wall, closing her eyes waiting for the impact, but it never came.
Pippa watched as Evangeline followed her parent's lead through the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Her brothers watched with anticipation as Pippa gripped the handlebar of her trolley and took a deep breath. Running at full speed, Pippa directed herself and her trolley at the wall, keeping a determined eye on the wall. Before she knew it, she felt herself get sucked in through the brick and mortar and appeared at platform 9&3/4
