Harry Potter, and his Unwillingness to Let Anyone Else Steal the Spotlight

"Wake up! It’s time to leave!” said a familiar voice.

Harry slowly opened his sleep-crusted eyes, stared at the walls of the Burrow, and saw his best friend of now 6 years, Ron Weasley.

They went to Hogwarts, where the usual festivities took place. Dumbledore warned them, Snape failed them, and Harry and Ron had girl problems.
Harry noticed a shy, weird boy. He poked him until the boy spoke.

“I am __________________ [name cannot be disclosed until the 16th!], the HBP! I’ll lead you to victory over Voldemort!”

“Yeah, right, as if Jo would write about you,” Harry laughed.

The hardest thing about this challenge is most definitely the 100 word limit! heh.

The Trouble With Fire


Well Harry was in Hogwarts just sitting in the common room where he saw a mysterious character in the fire. The lion like man had spectacles. The lion man said,” Well Harry Potter we seemed to have crossed paths". Harry said,” Who are you". The man said,” I can’t say right now but you will see me very soon". Harry said, well I need to know who you are”. The lion man came out of the fire. Harry gasped and said “I thought we would never have to hear from you again but you came back oh you came back”. Harry I came.

Night had fallen on the Hogwarts grounds, but members of the Order were still locked in battle with the Death Eaters. Harry Potter stood alone, watching, waiting for his moment to conquer Voldemort. From behind him, Harry heard a man cast the killing curse.

“Avada Kedavra!”

Spinning around, Harry locked eyes with the man, who resembled a lion. Scraggly hair framed his be-spectacled, smiling face, but Harry’s gaze was drawn a few feet away, to a girl lying cold on the dirt.

“Ginny, no,” he whispered, and heard the lion-man laugh at the regret and grief etched on Harry’s face.

The Night all was Told


The night was cold, and damp. All Harry and Hermonie could do was to sit and wait as Dumbledore had told them. They were to meet him,the man that holds all of the Potter's secrets.Hermonie began to have doubts and stood up. It was then that she saw him. He was tall and skinny,his hair black and messy.He spoke "Harry, I'm the half-blood Prince. I'm your father's brother.We can not stay here for there are spies of the dark lord, please follow me." He gestured to them, but Hermonie spoke, "What do you mean? We are supposed "Dumbledore told us to stay here?" "Trust me"He replied

The Idetity Revealed

Harry held a tattered, old photograph in his hands, one that featured a young man wearing a shabby cloak. Despite this he seemed majestic and awe-inspiring; his back was straight and his eyes held pride. His appearance was lionlike with a mane of thick, tawny hair. These features were familiar to Harry, yet it took him a few seconds to realise just who this was.
‘This is the half-blood prince?’ said Harry in disbelief; he had expected a wealthy man clad in a cloak with a hem of fur. ‘My new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor is the prince?’

Harry potter and the Half-blood prince

Harry Potter was in the park, when Mark Evans ran past, followed by… Voldemort. Harry grabbed his wand and shouted ‘EXPELLIARMUS!’ but the wand didn’t shoot out of Voldemort’s hand, who laughed. Harry’s scar hurt and he dropped his wand. But then Mark Evans grabbed it and shot something at Voldemort, who had to dive back. ‘accio’ he said and Mark flew through the air. Harry screamed, but couldn’t do anything. The next moment they’re both disappeared. Only harry’s wand was left,falling down. His scar was still hurting, and he could feel Voldemort was happy. He’d kidnapped… the half-blood prince…

Who is the Half-Blood Prince?


Upon learning of the existence of a Half-Blood Prince, the following conversation was heard:

“Who do’ya suppose it is?” asked Harry.

“Well, it’s not me” Ron grumbled. “Gotta be half-blood.”

Hermione sighed, “not necessarily, Ronald!”

The boys looked confused.

“Honestly! Half-Blood Prince may mean a Prince who is Half-Blood, but it can also mean the Prince of the Half-Bloods.”

Blank stares.

“What I’m saying is that the Prince doesn’t have to be half-blood. It could still be you Ron.”

“Well… I don’t feel very regal,” he shrugged.

Dumbledore steps into the room. “You are all wrong, the Half-Blood Prince is…”

The race to the end...



Running down the steps from Hogwarts, a place Harry could always count on a calming feeling of home; except now he could not stop the memories of that fateful night when Voldemort returned. The end was near and he knew he didn't have much time. He could imagine what would soon take place- a scene of dark and light figures with jolting sparks of green and red flying between them. Panting as he ran, he knew had to reach that man, the one who was foretold to assist him in the final battle... he had to find the half-blood prince.

It Was Never Told

"Harry! Harry! What happened?" Harry heard the voices of his friends. He had just gotten out of a battle with Voldemort. Voldemort fleed just two minutes before.
"The half blood prince...he knows the answer...how to defeat Voldemort..." said Harry. He could hardly speak because Voldemort had just hit him with a very powerful spell and he didn't know what was happening to him.
"Harry! Where did Voldemort go?" asked Hermione "And where is the half blood prince?"
"He's...He's..." whispered Harry. But they never knew where Voldemort or the half blood prince was.
"HARRY!" screamed Hermione
"HARRY! NO..."

“‘The Half-Blood Prince is closer than you think.’ What did he mean by that?” Ron asked, perplexed. He and Harry sat on their beds in the Dormitory, Hermione pacing up and down between them.
Harry shrugged. “I don’t know. What do you think, Hermione?”

There was silence while the brunette witch pondered the statement.

“Closer than you think…He must mean someone at Hogwarts. But who? There are hundreds of half-bloods here…”

Harry scanned the room, trying to picture every half-blood Hogwarts student he could. His eyes crossed over his fellow Gryffindor’s beds. Neville…no, he’s a pure blood…Dean…muggle-born.

“Seamus…” he whispered.

The One that was Overlooked!
“Trevor, Where are you…I’ll get in trouble again. Trevor…Trevor,” whispered a boy traveling through the halls of Hogwarts. Ahead by a few, a small trembling frog was running away.
I have to get away…I want my body back, that strange kid keeps finding me. You’d think after all the times I tried to run away he’d get a clue. But no more waiting…I need to return to fulfill my duties. However, before, I need my princess, thought the frog when a girl with long bushy hair came out of the room nearby.
“Trevor…Trevor...” echoed through the halls.

Absolute Courage

Surrounded in the darkness of failure, Harry stood. His arms where hurting but he had to carry on the body whose soul had been lost. It has coming closer he could feel but there was still hope, there was another the Dark Lord feared. The Half-Blood Prince was his only chance of bringing back his good old friend’s empty body back. Harry found strength to walk forward but in front of him he found the key that led the Prince to triumph. He had more courage now than he had ever had before. With his courage and key, he went.

‘The Oracle predicts danger in the Forest. Hordes are going south to protect the foals. Every creature knows the forest isn’t safe any more.’

“D’you think that’s true? About the Oracle and the disgrace.”

“Nonsense. That mules won’ admit ter us… it’s You-Know-Who their frigh’n’ of. Now they heard ‘bout him comin’ back…”

“Centaurs read the paper?” Ron asked frowning.

“Nah,” responded Hagrid, frowning too behind the facial bushy hair. “Their probably overheard it from students that pass by.”

But Harry was furious. Firenze would make a great sovereign. What mattered to them if he was 100% centaur or not?
