Titanium - David Guetta feat Sia

Jez's eyes blazed with purple fire as she duelled. She had grown talented at this particular occupation and had found it useful throughout her adventures. She liked to escape into a world where only her wits and skill would keep her alive.

The dummy she was battling lifted its arm and shot red sparks at her. It burnt her arm, but with one quick flick of her wrist she sent the dummy flying back with an Expelliarmus. She whirled around to meet her next attacker. There were always more dummies waiting for as long as she wanted to remain invincible.

Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit - Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris)

SWEET SOLSTICE! What in Orion's name was he doing here?

Okay, so that was a rhetorical question. He was teaching. In a room full of students. Students he did not know. Students who were poorly dressed in uniforms. All of which were doing nothing for his social anxiety.

Breath, Flamsteed. Stop sweating. Picture the kids in chicken costumes. That is what muggles did!

This wasn't working. He needed something more...suitable.

That's it!

Taking a deep breath, Airey imagined each student in a jacket and tie and felt instant relief at the sea of imaginary suits.

There. NOW he could teach.

The Worst Pies in London - Sweeney Todd Soundtrack

Descend the stairs into the festering pit of darkness that is Knockturn Alley: ignore skittering rats and the terrible smell.

The usual.

He pushed the door open with a creak and side-stepped the only other customer, who may as well have been a ghost. They were all ghosts here, not one wished to be noticed.

“Mug of ale and a pie.”

There was nothing worse and yet the grease and grit of a festering pie was worth the relative silence and secrecy. Yes, if you could stomach the food and the clientele, then Moribunds was just the place to be.

Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye feat. Kimbra
Lying in bed with the covers over her head, she rolled up in an even tighter fetal position with her arms hugging herself so tightly that it she felt as though if she let go she would fall apart. But she was already falling apart, crumbling, like ash between someone's fingers.

Glancing over the words she had just written, the violet eyed girl attached the parchment to the foot of the owl and sent it on its way to deliver news that made her feel like a stranger to not only the receiver but to herself as well.

"Good bye."

It's Not Over - Daughtry
Dear Diary,
I think I understand why I hate them so much, now. I've reached this conclusion a couple of days ago when I couldn't write a single stupid negative thing about neither one of them (it was a method a lame doctor mentioned on telly, totally blows). I had brought a loooong parchment, made a cup of green tea, put the kittens to sleep then plopped down on bed ready to go on and on and on about those backstabbers.

Eventually, I wrote one thing across the page:
I'm mad I don't know how to be their friend again.

Over It - Katharine McPhee

Hurrying around her room, at last the young woman found the small backpack she'd been searching for. It had been right under the nose, sitting in the chair next to her desk.

Something had caught her dark eyes. She froze, staring at the crooked picture frame on the desktop. Two boys and a girl stared back at her, smiling, laughing..

It was the same picture that made her cry before. The one she'd almost thrown a time or two. But now, looking closely into the moving picture of herself and her two best friends, Kaitlynnh smiled.

She was over it.

Rolling in the Deep - Adele
The Ministry office was dark except for the faint, orange glow emitting from the fireplace that casted a shadow on the man at the desk; glass of Firewhiskey was in one hand and the picture of a blonde woman was clutched in the other.

“We could have had whatever we wanted Izzy, but you betrayed me.” Armen whispered angrily as he took another large sip. He watched his ex’s face turn into a frown and then she left the frame.

The Transportation Department Head growled and smashed his glass into the fire grate. He would show her and the MLE.

Song Cry- Jay-Z

As he looked at her face with tears streaming down, Houston felt himself choke up. Choke up, but not actually cry. He couldn't. He was a man and had to act like one. And real men didn't cry. Or so he'd been told, anyway. It was a form of weakness, they said. And he wasn't a weak man, oh no. So even as he watched the love of his life walk out the door, there were no tears. Not one.

"I can't see them coming down my eyes, so I gotta make this song cry. I still love you, baby."

Family Portrait – Pink
The floorboards groaned beneath her footfalls. Kicking up the dust, Emily watched the particles glimmer and flicker in the low light beaming from the greasy window. She hadn't been home in years, and its appearance hadn't changed in that time... with the exception of the dust and grime.

Stopping in the hall outside the sitting room, a tall and once handsome portrait hung on its fixture. Three bright, cheerful faces looked down at her. It wasn't even her mother's or father's that surprised her most, it was her own young and deceptive smile. Even in estrangement, their lie lived on.

E.T. | Katy Perry feat. Kanye West

The warm water running down her face, stinging her eyes, made it hard to see, but even then she could tell there was something different about him from the way he stared back at her. He was so... hypnotizing... magnetizing... fascinating in a way that made her feel like she was floating and drowning at the same time.

She pulled him closer to the water, rubbing the shampoo into his hair with tiny circles. Maybe it was this, the way he reacted to everyday objects like he was from a whole other world. Were there no showers in his dimension?

Breathe Again - Sara Bareilles

He was gone. They were over. They had been for some time.. it was her fault. It was no one else's, but hers. She had made the move that started everything that had led to this day, with her standing in the doorway of her room, tears running down her face. It was all she could do to not fall apart, then and there.

She hung her head, her body aching, her heart still broken after all the time that had passed. It hurt to be here. It hurt to be around his family. She just wanted to breathe again.

Small Bump - Ed Sheeran

Just a couple more months to go.

Only a little while longer, and the small bump that had become Lydia's stomach, wouldn't just be a small bump anymore. It would be her precious little one, her one and only. Boy or girl, they didn't know.

"I can't wait," She would whisper to herself, to their baby. Hers and Orlando's.

Would the baby have Orlando's hair and her eyes? Lydia was certain he or she would have his ears and dimples, and maybe her nose.

"I can't wait to hold you."

Just a couple more months to go, when it happened.
