The chilly morning air might've inspired a brisk walk to class, but the temperature inside the charms classroom is warm and inviting. Classical music drifts softly through the room, meant to calm the bodies and minds of students as they settled in. The desks are arranged in their typical horseshoe fashion, though today there is a bucket of water beside each, so be careful when taking your seat. In the center of this horseshoe sits a rather ordinary fish tank, the bottom filled with different colored marbles. Are those the house colors, you ask? Why yes, yes they are.
Professor Peralta is perched on the edge of her desk, flanked on both sides by what appear to be changing rooms. She glances at her watch every now and then, eager to begin.
Please come on in and take your seat, class will be starting shortly!
OOC: Hello friends! Welcome to Charms! Please remember that although this is our first RPed lesson, this is NOT the first lesson the kids would've had with Professor Peralta! Also please familiarize yourself with the Charms Rules and SSRPG Rules before posting! Thank you! Class will be starting in about 15 hours! CLASS HAS ENDED!

More and more it seemed as though his initial inclination was seeming more and more likely. Also, the more and more class moved on...the more and more on edge Atlas became in expecting The Hoods™ to show up and the harder it became to focus. It was difficult to focus with them present but almost MORE so without them seeing as they had the tendency to just swoop in at any given moment. So rather than participate orally with the next question, the first year was entirely too preoccupied with looking out for their arrival...because even if they weren't here at the beginning then they tended to just show themselves around this point.
And when they didn't show up...it was hard to tell whether or not he was relieved or even more anxious. It absolutely was the latter.
Head slowly turning back front, Atlas tried his best to pay attention to what Professor Peralta was saying...but it was a little hard. He caught the incantation well enough, and Finite (hey! Bernie had tried teaching him about this during Defense Against the Dark Arts Anti-Muggle Arts forever ago!), and while he hadn't caught the wand movement he could sort that out by peer observation.
"Viseo Ebullio," he mumbled a bit to himself just to get his mouth familiar with the shapes it had to make. "Viseo Ebullio...Viseo Ebullio...Viseo Ebullio..." He felt pretty good about that part and the wand movement was siiiiiimple enough...and so far his wand hadn't betrayed him much when it came to Charms class SO he was feeling pretty optimistic. But first...one more look around the classroom aaaaaaaaaaand now pseudo dementors so now he could give things a whirl properly. Just...no one suddenly appear in the classroom, please and thank you.
Clearing his throat, Atlas began on the counterclockwise. "Viseo Ebullio," There was a bit of a translucent pearly sheen that took encapsulated his head and, naively, he thought that he actually had managed a spell on the first go. In fact, he was already reaching for the bucket when POP! That thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin bubble he had managed was gone.
Preparing to give it another go, Atlas' caught Bernie's movements out of the corner of his eye and there was instant eagerness. "How did you do that?" he asked as he bounced over to the older Gryffindor, already derailed from the topic at hand. See what he meant about focusing? "Can you teach me that?!"

Dahlia may not have answered the second question but her peers most certainly had. Which meant that this first year right here wrote down every answer that had been given. All spells and what they did included.
When told to clear their desks because they would be learning the Bubble-head Charm, Lia did exactly that. No time at all was wasted as she put all her things back into her bag. Viseo Ebullio and a simple counter-clockwise motion. Pulling her wand from its holster she got started with the wand movement. First she gave it a try in the space in front of herself until she felt it was right. Then she tried it several times around her own hand, it felt strange at first but she kept working at it until she was comfortable.
Setting her wand down on her desk, it was time to practice the incantation. Viseo Ebullio. Over and over again it was repeated in her head and then quietly out loud to herself. Only when she was positive that she was saying it right, did she pick up her wand again.
Wand in hand, Dahlia made the counter-clockwise motion over her own head while speaking clearly and visualizing the bubble forming, "Viseo Ebullio." The first attempt brought about no results. Neither did the second. It was the third try that was the charm. A clear bubble had formed around her head which she was able to see through... and she could still breath! Not that it lasted very long though. Only way to fix that problem was continued practice which is what she did.
Finally feeling confident enough to really test how well she was doing, Dahlia began to roll up the sleeves of her robes and moved to sit on her knees on her chair. Clearing her throat and putting as much intent and focus into the charm she cast Viseo Ebullio on herself once more. She placed her hands on the sides of the tank before lowering her head down into the water.
WHOA! This was so cool!
Not only was she NOT wet but she could see and breath. She had done it!
Knowing that she was able to successfully cast the charm was all she needed. Getting to her feet she wander over to the changing station and slipped behind one of the curtains into a single changing area. Changing into a wetsuit, she was more than a little glad these were charmed to resize themselves.
All ready for the next part of the lesson, Lia returned to her seat.

Neva approached Miss Grantham’s bubble with a hint of a smile on her face, pausing to address the Slytherin in her path. A sudden dizzy spell, huh? How awful. ”Of course you can.” She paused. ”I’ll be sure to check in on you and Healer Recard after class just to be sure you’re alright.” They could go now.
Though Nem was not at all surprised that Peralta was going to be interfering checking up on them, it was nevertheless aggravating to be reminded of the alleged power balance. Nevertheless, they gave a small and grateful smile, and a slight nod of the head.
"Thank you, Professor. Don't feel you have to waste your time or anything." In spite of those words, however, Nemesis had every intention of stopping by the Hospital Wing. Had Peralta not outright mentioned she'd be following up, Nem wouldn't have put it past her to do so a little more covertly. The staff in this place got so hung up on little things like attendance, it almost made them sneaky.
Side-stepping the human bubble, before she was let down gently, Nem skirted the room and took their exit.

Teddy was quite familiar with the Bubblehead Charm, having practiced it extensively during his third year to enhance his experience in searching for Bartholomew Henry in the Black Lake. There was always room for improvement, in maintaining the bubble for longer and not letting it begin to shrink too soon, and Teddy was happy to fine-tune his craft.
The fifth year coolly directed his wand around his head in the counter-clockwise motion and cast, "Viseo Ebullio." The bubble formed, Teddy patted it gently as if to reassure it to stay put, but then he followed up with a quiet, "Finite," to dissolve it. He didn't feel the need to put his head into the bucket when his time and energy could be better suited potentially helping someone who was struggling, and Teddy looked to check on the progress of his sisters and Emm when--
Bernadette. While it was an unfortunate sequence of events, Teddy was mildly amused, and his expression showed just that. Intrigued, though, the Ravenclaw raised a hand once the minor crisis had been averted. "Professor? Just out of curiosity, with Ebublio," he nodded his head in the direction of Bernie, "could she have gotten out on her own? It's... a sort of containment charm, yeah? Would Finite have worked if she'd cast it from within? What are its limitations?"
Just how effective of a spell was that at inconveniencing humans, particularly evil ones? Just for science.

When it looked like the rest of the class was properly distracted, Kizzy decided it was time for her to finally try her own. This way no one would be looking at her and if she failed miserably it wouldn't be a big deal. That's important. It's why she used to sneak off after dinner every night last term. That was risky now though with the alliance around. Meant she couldn't keep avoiding the practical portions of class.
She had even started practicing the wand movement for the bubblehead charm... Only to pause just as Teddy asked a question aaaaaaand! Yeah! Kinsay wanted to know the answer to that too.
So instead of practicing the spell, she watched Professor Peralta curiously."Can you pop it with something reaaaally sharp?" See? So curious. Of course she wanted to do this activity. Of course she did. This had nothing to do with wanting to avoid trying the spell. She was only waiting because she wanted to know about the ebublio spell. Only for that reason and for absolutely nothing else.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Head in the water, Claudine decided that she could not breathe properly. It felt as though the oxygen level was just off and she was a fish out of water. The girl straightened up. “Finite.’’ Yes, it was best that that disaster of a Bubble-head charm. She took a moment to glance around the room to see how the others were progressing. Not that she cared; it was more out of curiosity.
After a while, she got back into the swing of practice. “Viseo Ebullio.’’ Firm, commanding and confident? Check, check and check. Oh, the wand movement? Yes - the simple counter clockwise motion around her head. The bubble appeared. Once more, a deep breath was taken before her head was dunked into the bucket.
Ohh.
Her breathing was regular and not suffocating! That meant she had been successful in the spell casting. Claudine practiced a few more times just to be sure. Then, once that was done, she moved to the curtained area, found an empty stall and changed into a wetsuit. It fit her perfectly.
Violet emerged from the changing room clad in one of the magical wetsuits. It fit so tightly, like it was made for her! She walked slowly, looking down at herself in astonishment--did she really look like that? What had happened to her over the summer? Where had those curves and bumps come from? Violet's usual clothing was usually so conservative and bulky, and she'd been so distracted by the events of last spring and this new school year, that she hadn't really been paying attention to how much she'd been changing as she turned fifteen. And she wasn't quite sure how she felt about it now. This was going to take some getting used to!
Looking up, Violet was surprised again, as she saw the fish-tank that had been sitting innocently in the room when she entered it had grown to extremely large size. Oh. That was what the Bubble-head Charm was for. She sighed inwardly--apparently this week she was doomed to be getting wet.
Kale turned bright red at the firm but fair call-out. Like it was totally called for, but straight up embarrassing. And Kale Trent was not easily embarrassed. Or flustered. Or flapped.
He muttered a sincere apology and turned to the lesson with double focus. He didn't wanna disappoint Peralta, again. Cuz that would be double embarrassing and Kale didn't wanna learn who he became when he was double embarrassed.
So, he drew his wand and started to whisper the incantation. He tripped up on the words a few times, but it got easier as time went on. And by the time Nemmy had a total catastrophe, he felt bold enough to give it a try on his beatific face.
He did the gesture and whispered, "Viseo Ebullio." The swish had a lil flair, but so did Kale Trent.
Aboli merely eyed Bernie as she did the completely WRONG spell. Merlin, that child. She was about to offer to help but Peralta took care of it fairly quickly. Well, that was easy enough. The Slytherin offered Bernie only a 'oh please' kind of look before she made sure she had a bubble around her head. It was time to test it OUT.
She stood up to approach the buckets of water, a little nervous that she would end up with a soaked head and SOPPING wet hair. Sigh. Okay. Here went nothing! She took a deeeeeep breath, then DUNK! went her head, right into the water!
Once submerged, Aboli glanced around in the water, everything looking so strange from within her bubble. But it was cool. No water was leaking in, she could see clearly, and she had done it quickly! Now, she could practice doing it nonverbally later! All was well! This was FANTASTIC. She pulled her head out, looking impressed, and smirked to herself before undoing the charm. The view from within the bubble felt strange...like...peering out the window of a submarine. But Aboli had never even been in a submarine, so she didn't quite know why it felt like that, but she supposed that's what being in one MUST feel like.

Phoebe greatly enjoyed dunking her bubble head into the bucket of water sitting next to her desk. Her hair? Intact. Her face? Not dripping with bucket!water. Her lungs? Full of air and not water. See that, world? Girl in a bubble here!
And then she forgot how to get rid of the bubble, and she gave those around her a wild-eyed look until someone else thought to ask the question. Thanks, tiny human. "Finite."
And now time to put on the wetsuit. She'd heard a few classmates fretting on the fit, but didn't they spend the summer at the beach? A wetsuit covered more than a bikini by a long shot. She wasn't worried.

Back to the problem at hand. ”It’s alright, I’ve got you.” The charms Professor navigated the bubble back towards the ground with ease, putting an end to the Gryffindor’s spell as soon as it touched the floor. ”Perhaps you’d better pay more attention, hm?” Lucky class hadn’t been outside. No telling how far the wind might’ve carried her.
”Remember everyone, the incantation is viseo ebullio! Keep up the good work! Go on, Bernie. Try again.

Bernie was really just hoping she'd levitate high enough to perhaps kick Aboli in the head, not out of meanness but because she needed her older and wiser Slytherin friend to please notice her and please burst her bubble and put her down again... but RUDE Aboli only gave her RUDE LOOKS!
And then, wellp, a few things happened. First there was the OBVIOUSLY DELIBERATE nudge from Nem, which did not go unnoticed, but what could Bernie do about it? GLARE in their direction? She did precisely that, by the way. But of course Nem HAD to draw the professor's attention and all too quickly, Bernie was falling to her doom knees, properly on the floor, safe and sound. It hadn't even hurt, actually.
BUT. THAT WASN'T EVEN THE WORST PART.
The worst part was that the professor straight-up told her to PAY ATTENTION?! Bernie's mouth now looked like the bubble, a perfect little O of surprise at her teacher's B L A T A N T bossiness. Though, errr, she was doing her job, wasn't she? Perhaps Bernadette was just used to Fuller-Thompson's 'ignore her and she'll stop' way of doing things, or worse, Schmoe's utter incompetence and hand-wringing when she began Bernadetting.
Alas, the fifth year really had no response to the professor. She only GLARED and NODDED, because it was true that she needed to pay attention, and got up to return to her chair with a huff. She passed by that first year, AGAIN, ALWAYS bothering her in classes, he was, and mouthed, "Not nowwwwww," at him. Later, though, she'd happily work on the spell with him, aka, practice putting him in bubbles and then seeing if he could Gryffindor his way out of 'em.
For now, Bernie pouted in her seat, only half-listening to the James' siblings asking about ebublio, and spelling out the ACTUAL incantation they were supposed to be learning with her wand on the desk. Just... y'know. Going through the motions. Pretending to be P A Y I N G A T T E N T I O N. Actually secretly wondering where Nem had gone, and how the heck they always managed to get out of the worst things.
Hmmph.

”Maybe practice a few more times outside of the water before dunking again.” Unless she liked the whole sputtering thing. That was fine too. Whatever floated her boat. ”I can say confidently that your best course of action is to create the bubble around your head before entering the water for best results.” Although if she wanted to test the theory, she could certainly try. Neva wouldn’t advise it, though. ”And the charm would certainly help provide clean air for breathing in a situation where the air around you had become poluted.” That answered her questions, yes?
Mamie nodded dutifully as Professor Peralta answered her purely hypothetical question and gave her some pointers. Looking around, Mamie realized most of the other students had practiced their bubble-heads first before testing it out.
She could practice without water too.
"Viseo ebullio," she said, doing the counterclockwise circle like before. She...wasn't sure how to tell if it was working without a dunk, though. She glanced around. Nobody looked underwater. Well, except for the kids with their heads in buckets. Golly, they really looked strange.
Maybe if she...tried to poke her face, she could find out if she had a bubble head? Mamie tried. Nope. It hadn't worked.
"Viseo ebullio," she said more carefully, verrrry carefully doing the circle around her head and trying to ignore all the hullaballoo in the room. Poke, poke. She beamed, it had worked this time. She was still a little nervous to buckethead her bubblehead though... she took an unnecessary deep breath, and shoved her head and bubble into the bucket. And...it worked!
Now that she knew better, she quickly pulled her head back out of the bucket. She didn't want to wait for it to shrink.
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Fiona was satisfied that she had successfully performed the Bubble-head Charm so she decided to head for one of the change rooms. Before doing so, she removed the charm from herself by silently casting, "Finite." As she donned one of the magical wet suits, Fiona mentally prepared herself for whatever would be occurring next. Making her way out of the change room, Fiona noticed for the first time that the fish tank in the middle of the classroom was increasing in its size.

As soon as Professor Peralta explained the spell they were doing today, the water theme made sense to Heath. He watched the bubble-head charm demonstration intently, writing down the incantation and its wand movement, and counterspell. The mention of the changing rooms brought back unpleasant memories of muggle school gym class and all the bullying he’d endured there, and an uneasy feeling settled in the pit of his stomach. Please tell him he wouldn’t have to change in front of other boys! At least they were getting wetsuits instead of traditional swimwear. Just the thought of his classmates seeing him in swim shorts made him shudder. There was a reason he never went swimming without a t-shirt! The less others saw of his body, the less they could make fun of.
He shook his head, willing himself not to think about it. Spell practice now, body image issues later. Drawing his wand, he made a counterclockwise circle around his head. That wand movement was pretty simple, but just in case, he practiced it a couple more times before moving on to the incantation. “Viseo Ebullio,” he mumbled under his breath. “Viseo Ebullio, Viseo Ebullio…” He repeated the incantation until he felt confident with the pronunciation. Now it was time to put the two components together!
Heath drew a counterclockwise circle around his head with his wand and said, “Viseo Ebullio.” A small bubble appeared, but would it hold? Only one way to find out! Taking a deep breath, he dunked his head in the water bucket. So far, so good… there was no water leaking in. He released the breath he was holding, but as he drew another, he could already feel the bubble shrinking. He hurriedly pulled his head out of the bucket just as the bubble burst. Well, that didn’t last long! He needed more practice.
“Viseo Ebullio,” he cast while making the counterclockwise circle around his head, his voice a little firmer this time. He dunked his head again; this time it took a couple of minutes for the bubble to begin shrinking. Better, but still not good enough! Concentrating with everything in him, he tried again. “Viseo Ebullio!” He dunked his head, half-expecting the bubble to shrink at any moment, but several minutes passed and nothing happened. There, that was more like it! The bubble was still intact as he raised his head, so he took care of that with a quick “Finite.”
Satisfied with his work, Heath made his way to the nearest changing room, unsure of what he might find. The dread that had built inside him vanished when he saw the individual stalls. Thank Merlin! He emerged moments later wearing a wetsuit and returned to his desk to await the next activity. As he did so, he noticed that the fish tank in the middle of the room had grown, and he had a pretty good idea where this was going next.

As the children worked, Neva continued to focus her attention on the fish tank. It wasn't long before the small tank was the size of the entire inner portion of the horshoe, a swimming pool of a tank now. A little transfiguration work helped to make ladders for getting in the tank on each side, as well as magical fish swimming through the water. The house colored marbles were still scattered along the tank's floor, undisturbed, though the four large colored jars that were now positioned on the floor in front of Professor Peralta's desk might be a hint as to where they're meant to go.

While she wasn't pleased with Miss Grantham, at least her mishap had inspired some curiosity in her classmates. "It is exactly that, Mr. James. If someone finds themselves trapped inside a bubble like that without their wand, they're out of luck." She glanced at Small James, offering her a smile. "Bubbles like that cannot be popped by physical force, so you'd need magic to get you out from either inside or outside the bubble." So yes, Bernie could've gotten herself out, though she probably wouldn't have wanted to do that from the air unless she was good at the softening charm, or the cushioning one.
Glancing down at her watch, Neva's eyes widened a little. They were running behind and Peraltas did not do tardiness. "Alright everyone, eyes on me!" She gave them a minute and then continued. "If you haven't yet, please go get your wetsuit on. We'll be moving on to a little friendly competition for the remainder of class and I want to give us time to really enjoy it. You've got a few minutes, so make it quick." She'd wait. Not patiently, but she'd wait.
...
"Alright! As you can see, the fish tank is little no more and is now the perfect place for you to put your bubble-head charms to the test. The task is simple. You will break into teams based on which house you're in and dive down into the tank in search of marbles representing your house. Green for Slytherin, red for Gryffindor, yellow for Hufflepuff, and blue for Ravenclaw." That part should be self explanatory but one never knew with the first years. "You are only allowed to pick up three marbles per dive, and your goal is to take those marbles and help your housemates fill up your house jar before the other houses manage to do so." Easy, right? Well.."Keep in mind that the fish inside the tank, while pretty to look at, like to blow the occassional stream of bubbles while they swim, and these bubbles might make it hard to see from time to time. Also they're not big on personal space, so I must apologize if they get in your way. Just something to keep in mind as you go." She grinned. "Whichever house has the most marbles by the end of class wins, which means no homework for you tonight. Simple as that. So without further ado, GO!"
OOC: Hi my loves! We're starting the main activity now! It's okay to play catch-up if you need to, no worries! **The Activity is this: Students break up into teams by houses and using the bubble-head charm, dive into the tank to locate/collect marbles in their house color (up to 3 per dunk can be obtained) to add to their house jar. Posts need to be labeled with house and number of marbles collected. Please feel free to RP for the magical fish in the tank. They won't hurt the kids, but they will get in their way and might blow streams of bubbles that obstruct their view!** Class will stay open until the 24th, so enjoy and Professor P will be keeping an eye on the progress of each house as we go!
Since Aboli was done, she managed to practice casting the spell a few more times before Peralta moved on to the next activity of the lesson. Ooooh competition. And the hooded ones hadn't shown up ONCE. It was a breath of fresh air - or not, since they had to breathe in bubble!air.
She rubbed her hands together before going to put the not!skintight wetsuit on. It really wasn't as bad as it could have been, but Aboli was pretty uncomfortable regardless. Whatever. She was okay to continue!
As sooooon as Peralta said go, Aboli climbed up the ladder and plopped right in! The water was cool, but not freezing. Good good. She swam near the bottom, looking for any green marbles for Slytherin. She brushed aside some of the fish in her way as she snagged one, two....then swam a little along the way to grab a THIRD. YAS OKAY.
Now where was Bernie? Aboli wanted to mess with her. If only she knew the Gryffindor had wanted to KICK HER. HOW RUDE.

Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
As Fiona waited, she had recast the Bubble-head charm on herself. When it was her turn, Fiona carefully dove into the fish tank and began her search. Within seconds, she had located her first green marble. Fiona briefly had her view obscured as a rather grumpy looking fish blew bubbles in her face. Collecting herself, the fifth year, resumed her determined search.
A second marble was retrieved but the bubbles in her face had distracted her mentally so she collected herself for a couple of seconds prior to successfully retrieving the third and final marble.
Fiona resurfaced with a relieved look on her face.
Ash stood there a second in her own wetsuit, put up the spell bubble, and got in the tank. She collected two marbles easily. Then a fish swam right next to her. And it distracted her, and then her spell failed. Whatever. Spells were no match for the basic abilities of the human body anyway. SHe could still, y'know, get a third one. She held her breath and picked up a third one, and then did some cool cartwheel stuff. She resurfaced and took a big gulp of air. She fully intended to do another one. Mabe two.

Phoebe gave the wet suit a comforting pat-pat-pat as she shuffled toward the now-giant fish tank. With giant fish! This whole plan seemed a lot less exciting when there were giant fish to tangle with, but if the professor believed they were safe in the water, Phoebe trusted the woman. She pointed her wand at her face and drew a circle, "Viseo Ebullio."
Her bubble was perfect and intact, and Phoebe slipped into the water. Well, cannonball, whatever. The water itself was comfortable in temperature, and Phoebe made good time swimming to the bottom of the tank. This was actually super easy, wasn't it?
And then she took a fish tail to the face. To the bubble, more exactly. Either way, she nearly dropped the marble as the fish invaded her personal space, and Phoebe scrambled back and away in an effort to avoid any more personal attention for the fish. No thanks, fish. Not here to make friends.
A moment later, Phoebe broke the surface and chucked her red marble into the pail. Fine, whatever.
Mamie was still not quite certain her bubblehead charm would last while she dove to get the marbles. She was only 1 for 2 on bucket dunks, after all. Still, she went to don a wetsuit as instructed, and only fidgeted a bit until it was relatively comfortable.
She could definitely do this. Yeah. Go Mamie. You're good at charms. You swim like a fish even without magic.
Pep talk complete, she drew her wand to cast the charm. "Viseo Ebullio," she said firmly, circling her face. It...appeared to work. Shrugging, she tucked her wand away and climbed into the tank. She floated for a moment, eyeing the rather large fish and her classmates. She spotted a couple yellow marbles at the bottom of the tank. She waited for some fish to pass, then ducked underwater and started swimming down.
There they were! Three yellow marbles, perfectly clustered together! She grabbed for them, but a fish swam right in front of her face, filling her vision with bubbles!bubbles!bubbles! She grabbed something, then kicked off the bottom to head back to the surface. She had no idea how long her charm could last, after all.
When she opened her hand to count her marbles, her heart fell. These were not yellow marbles. Two were red, one green. Sighing, she held her hand under the water and released them so they could fall back down for another student to grab. She...well, she'd have to try again.

"Thank you, Professor!" Kinsay was satisfied with the answer provided to them and gave both Professor Peralta and Teddy a pleased smile before hopping up to her feet and scurrying off to grab a wetsuit upon instruction to do so. She made quick work of putting it on and then joined the rest of the class near the BIG fish tank!
Of course, she had strategically avoided having to practice the bubblehead charm, but this meant that, um, maybe she wouldn't be able to do the activity. She tried her best to stay at the back of the crowd as to avoid having to get into the water, but when it became apparent that the tank was big enough to accommodate for the class, Kizzy had no choice but to jump into it. Without bubblehead charm.
It's okay though because she was an EXPERT breath-holder. It was one of her talents (right next to gymnastics and spelling). So she made a big effort to inhale as much air as she could before holding her breath and dunking down into the water to swim down and--
FISHIEEEEEEEEEEES.
Instead of trying to grab a marble, she wrapped her arms around one of the magic fish for a SQUISH. Hi, fish.

Bright blue eyes never moved from that very large fish tank that took up most of the space in the room. Colored marbles and fish. FISH! So cute and colorful! How was she supposed to focus on anything else when she would be in the tank with them swimming around? Did Professor Peralta know she was a creature lover? The fish were going to be a distraction of the best kind.
Climbing up one of the ladders, Lia waited until she was at the top before using her wand to make the proper movement and cast "Viseo Ebullio," around her head. Tucking her wand away quickly, she then dropped down into the water below. Immediately swimming downwards, Dahlia tried to locate the closest blue marbles without becoming t-
FISHIES!
Lookit! Right there near several blue marbles were not one.. but TWO colorful fish. 'Hi, fishies, HI!'
With her eyes still on the fish, she reached out and closed her hand around a few marbles. With the marbles still in her hand, Lia followed the fish up towards the surface, opening her hand to see three marbles. Two blue and a yellow. Letting the yellow one slip through her fingers back to the bottom of the tank, she climbed out and down the ladder slowly.
Dropping the two blue marbles into her house pail. No doubt about it, she was going to do that again.

majorly catching up, hope that's okay! (+2 for ravenclaw)
Text Cut: Q1, Q2, & mini activity catch up
Avalon couldn't help but giggle at Bernie's and Emmerson's answers to the first question. The Ravenclaw most definitely agreed. She hated getting wet for that very reason. Whether it was rain or the ocean, it always messed up her hairstyle. Not the best look. Though she assumed Professor Peralta was looking for more serious answers, so she raised her hand. "If you're submerged for a long period of time, the water can get stuck in your ears. It can be really painful if it gets infected," Avalon said, remembering the time her brother got swimmer's ear after being in the ocean too much. Mrs. Sinclair had to put drops of a special potion in his ear to clear it up.
As for spells that could be useful, she thought of a few, but her classmates had already contributed them. She'd have to think more outside the box. "I'm not sure if there is one, Professor, but a charm that enhanced your eyesight might be useful. Since water in your eyes can be uncomfortable." Her eyes always burned when she opened them in a pool, and goggles were kind of bothersome. Perhaps there was a charm to fix that.
Avalon had tried to use the bubble-head charm before, but she didn't like it very much. It felt weird and made things look and sound all distorted. She was excited for extra time to practice today, although the prospect of wearing a wetsuit was a bit depressing. Those things looked so uncomfortable.
Oh well, at least she could practice first. "Viseo Ebullio!" she said, drawing a counter-clockwise circle around her head. She felt the bubble close around her head. Just for good measure, she took a deep breath anyway before dunking her head into the bucket. So far, so good. She blinked, wishing there was more to look at. It was pretty boring in here. A few moments later, once she was confident that her bubble would work, she cast finite.
In the changing stall, she pulled on one of the wetsuits, cringing at the weird, rubbery feeling as it magically conformed to her body. She didn't like feeling this restrained in her clothing.
Avalon fidgeted a bit in her wetsuit, uncomfortable with how tight and itchy it was. She was actually excited to get into the tank. The cool water would be refreshing. "Viseo Ebullio!" Once the bubble was secure, she jumped into the tank. The Ravenclaw swam straight to the bottom, scooping up three marbles fairly quickly. But on her way back up, one of the magical fish started swimming in quick circles around her face, blowing out bubbles as it did so. She gently swatted it away, but one of the marbles fell out of her hand.
Oh well. Two was better than nothing! She swam back up to the top and deposited them into the Ravenclaw jar before diving back down for more.
Aboli was pleased she had gotten three on her first go. WHOOH GO SLYTHERIN!
Why was Kinsay James hugging a fish? The fish was probably wishing death upon itself. She shot a jet of warm air (which would translate into water, maybe????) into the water surrounding them at Kinsay if only to look out for the fish.
Merlin, these children.
Speaking of, there was Mamie. Not...catching many marbles as Aboli had noted. She did her best to flick (as much as one could flick under water) a yellow marble towards the young Hufflepuff before making a beeline for a GREEEEEEEN ONE in her path. She scooped it up, accidentally upsetting some fish as she kick!swam her way to the top of the tank once more, depositing her lone marble next to her other three.

Oh yeah.
The tank was definitely not small anymore and the activity sounded fun and easy enough. A couple of minutes later, Claudine had successfully casted the Bubble Head Charm on herself then made her way into the tank. Immediately a small school of fishes swam painfully slowly before her face. But they were so colourful! They drew the Snakette’s attention before she remembered there was a task to complete.
Right.
She swam, keeping a keen eye out for green marbles. Ah, there was one. The girl snagged it up, taking care to maneuver out of a few classmates' ways. A little way down, there was another marble. And another.
Three in total.
Claudine broke the surface to deposit the marbles.
