The Charms Index is an archived list of Charms and Lessons taught and used across the SSRPG with former professors. Please note that it does not include spells classified as curses, hexes, jinxes, or conjurations. Transfiguration magic is not included on this list either. I suggest referring to the Harry Potter Wiki for a more exhaustive list of canon spells. This list contains Harry Potter Canon charms and some strictly SS Canon charms. Charms taught in the Hogwarts RPG will have links here. Where information regarding SSRPG canon charms exists, they will be linked here. This list is currently under construction.

Quote:
For the Younger Students:
Episkey
Incantation: eh-PIS-kee
Wand movement: Circular motion around the injury
Anapneo (Clear-Breathing charm)
Incantation: ah-nap-nee-oh
Wand Movement: point wand at target
**
For the older students:
Ferula charm (Bandaging Charm)
Incantation: fer-rool-lah
Wand Movement: down, up, down again
"The incantation is Queritorto.... Khere-it-or-to." She emphasized on the syllables and pronunciation. "The wand movement is a circular movement around the object, in this case gloves. So go ahead and come get yourselves a pair of gloves and let's practice for a few moments before we move on. If you didn't get the chance to handle the red and blue balls we were passing around earlier, you're welcome to come and hold them each to compare. You'll need to cast the charm on each glove."
"Enough background, as I'm sure you're all ready to learn the wand movement and incantation. So the wand movement looks much like a cartoon tongue. You start with a half smile and then move the wand down to create another longer half circle." Leanne drew a sketch on the board for them as a visual.
Incantation: Gaudeo. Gaw-dee-oh.
"I will forewarn you though that the more pronounced your tongue is, it's one way that you could overdo the charm. So it needs to be just right in terms of proportion. There's a window of maybe couple centimeters."
"And the incantation is gaudeo. Take the next few moments and practice the motions and incantation separately before we move onto testing them out."
"So we're actually going to be using two charms today, one being the folding charm. The other being the severing charm. Which, while we'll be practicing on paper, they both work well together for fabric. Specifically something Desiree talked about with making pleats." But they weren't tailors todays.
"Before we can get started on the actually activity, we need to practice the charm. So take a piece of scrap paper to practice on. The first charm is plico, the wand motion is a point and move your wand in the direction of the intended fold." Mari took a piece of paper and demonstrated with her own wand, drawing the paper in half. A moment later, the paper creased itself and folded in half. "The second charm - the severing charm, the incantation is Dih-fin-doh. The wand movement for that one is a downward slashing motion. So take some scrap paper and let's spend a few minutes working on the incantation and wand movements before we continue." She looked at the few older students in here, "Older students may attempt non-verbally if you wish."
"So the incantation is Cantis and the wand movement is a left flick and then draw your wand downward into a half spiral to the right. Let's work on practicing that movement and incantation for a few moments. Separately please." She added hoping that would be obvious since she hadn't given them any inanimate targets yet to practice on.
Caput Infidum
Pronunciation: CA-poot In-FEE-dum
Wand movement: Clockwise circle with an inward swish
Animus Exorire
Pronounciation: AH-nee-moos Ex-O-ree-ray
Wand movement: Wand at your temple and pull away slowly
“Now that you have all seen an example, what we will be working on for the rest of class is altering one of your own memories.” She said, as she finished writing and turned to face them again. With a flick of her wand, the box rose and began distributing pensieves to each student, along with two vials for memories. “What you will need to do first is extract the memory you want to work with. It can be any memory you’d like, but for this exercise we will be sharing it with one of your peers or myself so pick something you don’t mind that. You will extract the memory twice. The first one, will be kept off to the side and the second we will work on modifying. Again, you can do this however you like.”
In order to show them as well how to do the extraction, she picked up her own wand and put her wand to her temple. “When you’re extracting a memory, try to keep your thoughts clear of anything but the moment in time you are thinking of. Once you have that memory in your minds eye, say the incantation clearly and confidently and slowly pull your wand away. The silver strand should come with it. Animus Exorire ” She stated, pulling the wand back as the silvery thread pulled along with it. Rue quickly deposited it into a vial. “As you will be doing this twice, don’t worry too much if your first extraction isn’t perfect. Anything that has holes might just present as an opportunity for you to fill those.” She smiled at them all again, before returning to her chair. “Once you have your memories, go ahead and brainstorm how you’d like to modify them and you may begin doing so if you feel ready. If you need help with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll be watching the clock and let you know when it’s time to start pairing up.”
Wand Incantation/Movement: Plumavis - Shape of a tilde, left to right over the object
"The Feather-light Charm's name is easily coined with making the intended object weight as light as a feather, Plumavis. " An easy thing to commit to memory in his opinion, "It is thought to be first used by Cressida Blume in an attempt to help her carry her own books, though she mistakenly used a different charm that caused them to fly. This charm won't make an object fly, but it would make it easy to have them carry and ascend in a floating fashion," Which is where the confusion likely came into play, "As Miss Paton questioned, the chances of using this on a human or creature is possible. But with the vital organs and innards each having their own individual mass, this would require far more experience in magic to essentially make every organ weight small enough to have the entire body weigh the same amount as a single feather."
Now, with that information brought up, "The objective today is you'll be having the box next to your desk weight as light as a feather. You'll perform the Feather-light charm and then test with the levitation charm, Windgardium Leviosa." Feirgrund said. "But first, we will practice pronouncing the spell, Plumavis. You may repeat or mouth silently, ploo-mah-viss," Waiting until enough audibly spoke it. "Good, continue pronouncing it."
"Next up is the wand movement," Feirgrund motioned his wand out, "It is the shape a tilde, or a small wave from left to right from your point of view," As he pointed his wand at the board to motion the direction drawn out. "If you also need a review on the Levitation charm, you may also practice doing so, Wingardium Leviosa. Win-Gar-Dee-Um. Leh-Vee-Oh-Sa, with the swish and flick wand movement." While enough students wouldn't likely need to review the levitation charm, it would prevent any from feeling too far behind just in case.
For those wanting to paint with magic, "To paint with magic, you just simply tap the part you want to start painting with Coloro, followed by the desired color," For example as he took the prop meant to resemble a stump, "Coloro Brown," Presento, brown paint appeared as he did a quick stroke, followed by, "Finite," Stopping it at once. "Now let's have some fun," Feirgrund last said.
Wand Incantation/Movement: Cistem Aperio - Tracing the Letters C & V conjoined left-to-right
"The Box-Blasting Charm is used to unlock trunks, chests, boxes, and other forms of container.. with a bit of a blast," Not that he had to add that last bit as most had likely imagined, "To clarify with it opening those with simple locks, typically when sealed items are locked away they're put under a number of charms that wouldn't allow this one charm to work even with the most experienced. It's the same reason for why Alohomora doesn't work on all doors and windows. But with time, charms wear off and this is perfect for finding old valuables that may not be deemed as important enough to have multiple charms for security," This could set aside some thoughts from those planning to go on a raiding spree of other's belongings.
Now for the objective, "This chest here will be perfect one to start on, before you get to find more chests to open," Nothing like a fun activity, right? "But first, we practice the incantation, Cistem Aperio. Sees-tem. uh-Pair-ee-oh." Waiting until enough audibly spoke it. "Good, continuing pronouncing it. NEWT students, practice it both audibly and wordlessly,"
"Next up is the wand movement," Feirgrund motioned his wand out, "You begin tracing out the letter C, joining it with the letter V from left to right," As he pointed his wand at the board to motion the direction drawn out. "Once you feel comfortable enough, you can line up in front of the table and practice on the chest. If done correctly, the chest will blast open and cough up get a piece of parchment, then you can return to your seat with it. It'll take a moment for the instructions to appear." Nothing like some anticipation.
Wand Incantation/Movement: Recreo - Point at target
"This charm, Recreo, is meant to restore a person's breath, especially when the Knockback Jinx has knocked the wind out of them with enough force, though it won't render them unconscious. It is very similar to Rennervate, which revives a person after being unconscious for some time. Recreo also resembles Anapneo, which clears the airway, though Anapneo specifically removes an object blocking the airway." With the similarities out of the way, "Now repeat after me, Ree-Crey-oh, Recreo," Giving them time to repeat the charm, "Excellent. The wand movement is simply pointing at your target. Unlike Anapneo, you don't need to aim directly at the throat or sternum region for it to work, though considering the specifics is a good habit. The distance from your target is more important; the closer you are, the better the chances for a beginner to achieve the spell. However, in a battle, this proximity could be dangerous for the Healer, so timing is also key." So perhaps he would leave that decision on where they would target from.
Wand Incantation/Movement: Obiectum Revelio - Shape of a triangle
"Now you've already had a lesson on the Human-Presence Charm. Today we'll be working on a variation of the charm. This charm in particular will reveal objects, often as a great aspect for revealing something you had lost." For those curious on the intention of the charm. "While there are many charms that reveal hidden lost objects, this one in particular has a focus with familiar items. Some that you'll be searching for." Almost like a treasure hunt, but without a box to unlock. "In this box are pouches that will each have photographs of items lost within this area. Without the image in your mind, the charm won't be able to spot the item, preventing thieves from taking advantage of the situation."
Now then, "But first, we must practice the incantation, Obiectum Revelio. Pronounced as Oh-Bee-Ek-Tum. Reh-VEH-lee-oh." Waiting until the class repeated the pronunciation. "Excellent, continue pronouncing it. NEWT students, you will practice it both audibly and wordlessly."
As for the wand work, "For the wand movement, it's fairly simple. You will be tracing the shape of a triangle △. While you can trace the shape from either direction, starting from the top is the simplest. You will know the casting is correct when a glowing white trail appears and follow your wand movement as you trace it to completion. If successful, the white triangle shape will stay for a few seconds before fading. If unsuccessful, it'll fade before the shape is complete." As Feirgrund explained he demonstrated the instructions. "For now, try to focus on at least having a while trail appear before we get to finding the objects." As there would be more instructions on that.
Wand Incantation/Movement: Salidus - Drawing a M-shape over the item
Spicy Charm ~ Kon-DEE-oh CREY-Oh
Wand Incantation/Movement: Condio Creo - Drawing a U-shape over the item
Sweetening Charm ~ Maa-Gee-Mus
Wand Incantation/Movement: Magimus - Drawing a circle over the item
"Today we'll have enjoying some of your favorite and disliked foods." Given the question and location, it likely wasn't a surprise. "Now before you get to fix yourselves a plate, think to some of the foods you had mentioned as the objective for today is to be able to enjoy a nice meal by using some of the Flavour Charms used to enhance the taste of a meal." Could this be controversial? "Now, now.. I know it's often a sensitive topic with "tampering" a nicely cooked meal. As you all expressed, everyone has different taste preferences and that's okay. Often, our taste preferences prevent us from enjoying certain meals. Consider it no more different than using a condiment or seasoning to give more flavour."
Now for the instructions. "Think back to the reasons most of you listed for enjoying your favorite foods. These charms are some of the many that can give food the desired sweet, salty, spicier taste to it." And now, "First, we must practice the incantations, the Salting Charm is Salidus pronounced as Sal-ee-Dus." Waiting until the class repeated the pronunciation. "Next is, the Spicy Charm known as Condio Creo, pronounced as Kon-DEE-oh. CREY-Oh." Again waiting on the pronunciation repeated. "And lastly, the Sweetening Charm is Magimus, pronounced as, Maa-Gee-Mus." Waiting until the class repeated the pronunciation. "Excellent, continue pronouncing it. NEWT students, you will practice it both audibly and wordlessly."
As for the wand work, "The wand work is fairly simple, for each charm you simply draw your wand over the food item. The only difference is the shape used. For the Salting Charm, it is an M shape, Spicy is a U shape, and Sweetening is a O." Now that they had the information. "Once you've jotted it down and feel you've got the pronunciation in place. Come on over in a single file line in front of the table and pick up a plate before I reveal what is under these dishes."
