The training and trial room on level 3 is a large space set aside for employees of the Accidents and Catastrophes department in order to continually work on their skills, or try out some experimental charms for assessment and tweaking purposes. While the room was originally charmed to behave much like the Room of Requirement within Hogwarts, this is no longer the case. Instead the large room is relatively empty, though there is a large pool in one corner for practising water-based charms work, and some heavy duty crash pads in another corner so that if you are levitating yourself, anyone else, or working with objects that are otherwise breakable, dents and bruises won't be an issue. These crash pads are also useful for those who wish to duel as part of their training and trialing.
If you need anything else within this space, you are expected to either provide it yourself or speak with your Department Head if it is something a little more questionable, large, or dangerous. Many muggle items are available in storage for charmswork (including a few automobiles), and you may indeed find some items within the storage cupboard on the other side of the department.
While this room is intended for use primarily by level 3 employees, those who work in other departments may make use of this space with a written request and approval from Maddox Quigley, Accidents and Catastrophes Department Head.

Maddox visibly flinched each time another of them yelled about food. Honestly, this was going to give him a headache and he hadn't signed up for that when he walked into the food court earlier today.
"Shhh."
He'd only ask nicely the one time before silencing the lot of them. This was more than he cared to tolerate. With a grimace, Maddox looked to the Minister. "Damned if I know. Airey's always up to something down there. All I can think of is him wanting to borrow Megan that time. Didn't get the details of what they were doing down there but that's the only working link."
Now how did they put an end to it, because he was definitely over it and over all these loud noises.

Did he feel even slightly guilty for casting on a former professor? Yes, but it also meant one less mouth screaming about food, so.... Besides, it wasn't like he'd cast an Unforgiveable.
Honestly, Ronan didn't even like looking at his own baby pictures, so he was glad the Minister had shone a little restraint in that department. Also, his anger with certain people must have been showing, though he was trying to keep it hidden, as the Minister put his hand on his shoulder. Seriously, Bones and whomever her mysterious Auror protector was had a lot of nerve. Did they not think that such a thing could breed resentment amongst the Aurors who hadn't been 'chosen' to be the protector? Not with him, mind, because she could fall off a cliff for all he cared. Okay, calm down Carter, there'll be time to deal with that later.
Sooo, the whole thing had seemed to originate in the Department of Mysteries. The Auror-in-training made a mental note of that in case it came up later. "According to the history books, those brain things down there can do some real messed up things, too."

Charles had been quick to pick up on how much Maddox had a distaste for noise. Bit ironic given the man was the head of a department that was prone to loud noises that often accompanied accidents and catastrophes, but now was not the time to dwell on such thoughts. Not when the livelihoods of employees under his guidance were at stake.
As hilarious as some of the behavior was, admittedly.
Rubbing his temple, Charles tried to recall what precisely the numerous memos from the Mysteries head had said. Ronan, who still had the Minister's hand on his shoulder, triggered a bit of his memory, however. "Ah yes. I DO recall a certain memo being sent to me about a maintenance effort being done in the THOUGHT Chamber rather than the Time Chamber. I had expected for all these sorts of house keeping measure to be complete prior to our reopening, but one cannot rush the delicate studies performed in Mysteries, I wager." Plus, it had seemed to be a bit of a new development rather than one that could have been nipped earlier.
His brilliant blues looked up and reflected on the three employees. "I also recall receiving a report from the Healer Station in regards to an incident involving this maintenance effort, though all employees had checked out with clean bills of health. Only treating physical wounds from the tentacles." His hand ended up squeezing Ronan's shoulder again in lieu of rubbing his temple with the other.
Perhaps he should return to his office and fetch these reports after all?
Though, briefly, he regarded Laurel Vance - the former professor of his grandson - and took a cautious step in her direction before removing the enchantments placed upon her. "Laurel. Would you care to tell me an anecdote about your time serving as Slytherin Head of House?"

Someone was suggesting that they be brought food. Megan paid enough to that much. "What he said about getting us food,'' she emphasied and pointed to the Minister. Bored eyes flashed around at everyone as her hand played with the soft mattress. No one seemed to be moving to obey.
"Hmph. I will be leaving, thank you very mu-" What was that voice in her head that she had just heard? It was a faint thing and she thought she must have imagined it. Now. Where was she? Oh yeah. FOOD.
Without another word, she went off in search of more deliciousness.
But WHY was she having the sudden urge to revisit the Thought Chamber?

Why did it have to be his employee? Honestly. Of the three that could've been affected and wandered off, why did it have to be Megan? In some capacity he was responsible for her and jfbskjfgwoeugow how soon could he take a nap? This was escalating rather than winding down.
Maddox spared the YATI a look. Something about brains and messing up people. The Minister more or less confirmed the likelihood of this a moment later. Looking back at the behaviour of these three, he'd honestly believe it.
"Problem solved. Let's hand them over to Airey...and...let...him..." Where was she going? Circe sake, Megan, this was not the time to be disappearing. Now that they more or less knew what the issue was, it'd have been an easy patronus over to Mysteries. Airey could come collect and he could retreat to his office--to get work done, of course, definitely, right. Ahem.
Just watching her leave exhausted him.
With a heavy sigh, Maddox shrunk into the form of a black cat and bounded out after her. Surely she couldn't have gotten that far.
