As you step off the lifts, you step into the plush seating area that doubles as the waiting area and entrance to Level Six, the Department for Magical Transportation. Whether you need to meet with someone about a Porkey, take exams for your Apparition license, report a broom malfunction, or need a Floo connection approved or repaired, you are in the right place. Please have a seat, enjoy the magazines and Daily Prophets, and someone will be with you shortly.
Be sure to sign the visitor's log! Have a great day!
OCC: Any visitors or even employees please just post in here and someone from the Department will be with you to help shortly. In your post just post entering, signing the visitor's log (in your post just do a short little quote or signing in with Name, Department/position in MoM, place of work if applicable, and reason for visit) There is no receptionist being RPed so simply hang tight for a Level 6 employee! | |

A very quiet waiting area, well this was the perfect place for Topanga to take a bit of a break. She had been at work for a matter of twenty minutes so far. With a coffee in hand, she took a seat and propped her feet up.
ahhh quiet mornings!
Not that she was lazy, but she couldn't help but just chill when the moment gave an opportunity. Plus she wasn't much of a morning person her productivity started right around lunchtime, so she typically worked later hours to accommodate her rough start each morning.

What Chloe realllyyyy wanted to know was where the interns were for the Department of Magical Transportation? Surely they got some, yes? Who were they? She doubted she knew any of them being that she graduated over a decade ago now and her brothers graduated only a couple years after her. But maybe they knew one of the Diggorys? Were any of the same professors still there from a decade ago? Probably not but they could always talk about Bartholomew or the house ghosts, yes? Plus, minions. Wait, was she allowed to use them as her minions or was that Kendra's job? But then again, Kendra had all her employees as minions which meant the interns could be her employees minions. Yup, this made total sense to the redhead.
Stirring her mug of coffee, she noted Topanga there in the reception area. "Morning, Topanga. Have you seen any of them yet?" Okay, too vague? Probably, since she doubted the young woman was a mind-reader in knowing who 'them' was.

Was she ignoring her fellow employee, heck no, but she was almost asleep when the woman came up to her and started asking odd questions. They who, where? Topanga sat up and tried to pretend she wasn't sleeping on the job. She looked around to make sure she knew exactly where she was and then back at Chloe, Hmm, who?" Did she say who and Topanga wasn't fully conscious to hear her?
Yawning she got up and stretched, "Sorry was just taking a minute to gather my thoughts before jumping into the big work day, ya know, trying to get the brian a moving." Smiling at the other woman she tried to play it off all simple, "So what were you going on about. Who we meeting or should have seen by now?"

I mean, i think I speak for both of us when I say we could really use a cup of coffee. Or maybe a pot. And I feel like I've barely seen them since meeting them. Teenagers..." Pfft. Really. Who's idea was it to hire teenagers anyway? She was going to ignore the fact that in like five years her son would be one....

She signed the visitor book and took a seat.
Hmm, maybe she'd read the Daily Prophet for the first time in...well, she didn't know how long it'd been, actually. She didn't make it a habit to constantly read the newspaper.

Kendra was growing increasingly frustrated with the "minor inconveniences" building up as of late. Communication was difficult, magic was on the fritz, and she was sure there had to be some sort of solution. Something, somewhere had gone awry? Perhaps certain charms just needed to be reinforced. But whatever it was, it needed to happen soon. She was just at about the end of her rope.
The department head was just rushing through the reception area when she noticed someone there. A woman who did not belong in her department. Hopefully she hadn't been sitting there long, but with some of the essential communication systems not working properly, she could only hope.
"Is there something I can help you with?"

Colorful and powerful, that was the vibe Candi was going for since her initial look had been politely redirected on account that her heels were not practical. It was a minor misstep on the day, but with her sneakers she was more likely to get off on the right foot. So she hoped. She HAD been studying plenty and going over all the advice she had been gifted, particularly those of Frederick and Kaiser, so she was feeling good about FINALLY passing her apparition exam and getting her license seeing as it was becoming more and more apparent that she needed this and shouldn't be solely relying on portkeys and side along apparition.
The new décor still sent terrible icy shivers up and down her spine and she was relieved to be somewhere where the large tapestries were not looming over her. Something about the man's stare, even in profile, made her nauseous. Probably because it reminder her somewhat of...well...never mind.
Twirling her wand in hand, the former Hufflepuff approached the front desk and signed herself in. Despite her nametag at the gala proclaiming her last name (along with muggleborn blood status that she still was not sure how they knew something which she did not), she left the adoptive name off. Candela was who she was and all she needed to be.

Coming from the minister's office Simone had a coffee in her hand as she made her way back to her office when she noticed her next appointment was here. A little annoyed someone like her would even come to get a license Simone put a fake smile and went over. "Hello" glancing down at the sheet to just make sure she turned fully towards the young woman. "Follow me to my office Miss....." since she didn't place her last name on the sheet Simone wasn't going to direct her with her first.
Turning she headed towards her office, "follow me."

Bouncing on her heels a bit as she waited, Candi spun around when she heard a voice coming from somewhere she had not been expecting it: behind her. Spinning around, her pale eyes fell on a woman she had not been expecting and she was completely taken aback for a few seconds while she blinked away the surprise. Unsure as to whether or not she should be concerned that the department head was seemingly going to be the one to handle her licensing today, the former Hufflepuff nonetheless maintained a pleasant smile as she rolled from bouncing on her tip toes to a more sensible flat footed posture.
Tugging on her fingers, she lightly worried her lower lip and nodded before following the woman into her office.

A silvery meerkat sprints deftly into the room with an alarming message, spoken loudly enough to be heard throughout the level:
”Firestorm on level one! Drop everything and GET OUT! Do not come try to help put it out, there’s too many cooks in the kitchen as it is! And also a hungry vampire. I repeat, GET OUT!
Message delivered, the meerkat dashes back out again.

"Woofffffffffffffffffffff! Wooooooooooooooooof!" is heard in the empty waiting room on level 6 as four very bloated adult hounds stagger into the room. They had previously gone nuts on the treasures down in the food court leaving no piece of food or drink untasted.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp!" one of the hounds howls out before it within seconds barfs up a smelly cascade of stomach content all over the reception desk. His friends aren’t far behind as one decides to pee all over the magazine stall and the other’s jump up on the sofa and chairs to drool all over the cushions and pillows.

| A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Following behind the Department Head, Daichi held on to his wand just in case he needed to use it quickly. But after arriving at the source of the sound, he pocketed his wand back in his holster again.
Their suspicion had been right that they had heard a dog. Only he had not thought there to be more than one of them. ”I think level four is missing a few dogs” he said before one of the dogs began howl and barf up all over the reception desk and one of the other dogs began to ….pee all over the magazine stall.
Luckily, the former Slytherin had a good stomach and was therefore able to keep his breakfast inside but he did have to cover a hand over his nose because the smell of barf and pee was too overwhelming.

"Sorry! Creatures employee here, I don't know how this happened ..." said Carson to the transportation people as he stepped off the lift. He had spent the entire morning searching for the wandering bloodhounds and was glad to see four of them here. What he was not glad to see was how bloated they looked and the mess they were making to the reception area. He had seen the state of the food court when he went down there earlier, so he could guess the source of the barf and pee. Fortunately, the hounds looked unharmed other than an upset stomach. He hesitated for a moment before he raised his wand and cast a Sleeping Charm on one of the hounds drooling on the sofa. It was probably not the best approach, but what could he do? Taking these huge active creatures back to Level Four would be much easier if they were asleep!
"Can you please ensure that the exits are closed, so that they cannot leave?" he said urgently to the two people beside him. He would have asked them to clean up the vomit while he took care of the hounds, but he was too apologetic about this whole situation to even bring that up.

Tatiana peered over from her desk when she heard the barking. Her curiosity got the better of her and she made her way over to the visitors from another floor.
"Are they normal dogs?" She wrinkled her nose smelling the vomit and urine. They certainly were not well behaved dogs if they were just dogs.

"Oh my Merlin aren't they cute." She had been rushing to the reception, but she wasn't in the shape she'd like to be so she fell a bit behind and was panting worse than some of these hounds when she got there. Looking around it seemed that the dogs were causing a bit of a mess and she pulled her wand to vanish the puke before focusing on the one saying they were creatures.
"Oh goodness, don't worry, things happen. Plus they are adorable and can visit anytime." Could she adopt them all, she loved dogs and cat, well really she loved animals that would love her back with all the snuggles and kisses.
"Alright everyone, go stand in front of an exit so they don't take off again. We got this, they look tired and could use some good ear wiggles." Which meant to be a question of could she pet them?
