| | Greenhouses {The Greenhouses} The Greenhouses house any and all plants the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection is currently working on, both indigenous and foreign. This is where the Botanists make the magic happen - literally and figuratively. Potions ingredients are being grown here as well as experiments conducted by the Research and Development team. After the incidents of the previous year, some of the more aggressive plants have been quarantined into a separate smaller greenhouse, to be tended to only by those specifically assigned to the task. Should you find any of the greenhouses to be short on supplies of any kind, please contact one of the Greenhouse Caretakers.
If you do not work for the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection, you are NOT permitted to enter any of the Greenhouses without being accompanied by a DERP-employee and/or explicit permission by the Department Head, Olly Emmons-Clarke.

Beatrice let out a small gasp at the sight.
Flowers...plucked, dismembered, mutilated.
Horrified. She was horrified, horrified she was. "Holy hippogriffs!" Yes, wrong. So VERY wrong. Plants needed to be treated with care and this woman, whoever she was, was doing the complete opposite of that. "You can't do that!" Quote:

Can you do this? What do you do? Wait!"
Dirt got into her face mouth hole. That wasn't an entirely pleasant sensation. The liquid stuff in her mouth was of much use to her as she tried to spit the stuff out.
Much drool on her chin. Lex was half listening to Bee, half because she'd offered up the other half of her attention to this.....tree hugging extremist.
Circe, her own kid was cleaner when she played in dirt--but the woman wasn't far off from Emm's younger years. It was...almost amusing. The Head Auror stuck her hands in her pockets, her demeanor relaxed despite how alert she remained. Constant vigilance, y'know? "Is it just me, or is there always something off about this place?" She finally commented to the more sensible woman stood next to her. When people weren't becoming animals they were....wallowing in dirt.
After a moment of watching this drool filled flower frollick, Alexa drew her wand and crouched before her. "I can get you cleaned up if you get out of there before you make the wrong person mad."
Dirt free and back to whatever it was she was meant to be doing. Or to the Healer, that worked too.

Beatrice was beside herself, distraught at the horrible fate that the plants had met with this dirt-eating, flower-butchering, drooling, quite possibly bonkers unnamed woman. Yes, she was doing IT and she needed to be stopped.
A deep frown creasing her forehead, she also pulled out her wand, although with the Head Auror next to her, she probably won't end up needing it. "There is something always off here." was her response to Lex's almost rhetoric comment. Especially inside the greenhouses, with the various species they keep, but most of the time it was the plants that wreaked havoc, not the other way around.
The brunette stepped to the side as Alexa crouched in front of the woman and gave her a reproachful look. Come on, up and out you go.

He shrugged and chuckled a bit. "Geth is great at a lot of things, but he tends to go with the animals more than the plants. With our parent's profession, we've been around both all our lives. " He was comfortable to be around for them both and it wasn't a surprise that they did. "Yeah, I guess I do, but I can visit often. Our grandparents still live there. I actually got married there on the beach." It was a nice small wedding that his groom and him enjoyed.
He listened to her talk about her experiences and enjoyed hearing it. She knew her plants and had worked in many places to get the experience, he couldn't help but admire the fact that she traveled as much as she did. If things would have been different for him he would have seen more of the world, but things happened for a reason and he was happy where he was. "Don't apologize, it's very interesting and it's nice to get to know my coworkers. " They would be working together for some time so he figured it was good to get to know them. "Oh well, yes and no. I've always loved to be around plants and figured I'd end up with a job that was dealing with plants, but I figured it would be later in life. See... My brother and I, well, we were really into dirtbikes and racing. Was actually qualifying to become professional when I had a bad accident." He patted the wheel of his chair, "Changed some things after that."
Astara let out a laugh, "Well, I guess if you ever get tired of working for the Ministry with their plants, and your brother leaves wherever he is at, you could start your own reserve."
Ash's eyes lit up, "Aww...A wedding ceremony on the beach? That sounds like it was wonderful! I hope the weather held up for the two of you." She started to imagine a scenario with lots of wind and rain. Guests running for cover, and the waves of the ocean crashing on the shore dramatically. It would have been memorable, but for some of the wrong reasons.
Astara listened intently as Griffin spoke, her face fell slightly as she found out why her coworker was now bound to a wheelchair. "Oh, I'm-" She glanced down a little for a brief moment, wondering if she should say what must have been said to Griffin a hundred times before, or not. "I'm sorry to hear that."
She flicked her wand and a cluster of trimmed off leaves soared into a nearby compost bin. "You're quite brave." Ash stated as she trickled some more water on to nearby plants, not quite paying full attention now. "I enjoy sports of all sorts, but nothing in the same caliber as Motocross."

The brunette stepped to the side as Alexa crouched in front of the woman and gave her a reproachful look. Come on, up and out you go. Reaching up to help the process of removing the dirt with her fingers, she only managed to increase the amount of dirt that went into her mouth with said dirty hands. THIS WASN'T WORKING. Though she paused with her tongue sticking out as her eyes zoomed in on the stick in the lady's hand. There was that vague sense that this wasn't a good stick.
Mad didn't sound good either. "YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME!"
With MUCH spitting all over the place to get the dirt out of her mouth, she flipped to her stomach and swam/crawled through the flowers to get away from the two people. WELL. Dirt certainly felt good on one's finger-y hands, but did not do well in other places! These flowers though. She tried to snatch at least one with her chompers as she wiggled away.

"That's really a good idea actually. I'm not sure what Geth will think of it, but I'll store it away in the back options if ever needed, but I'm good with what I'm doing right now so I think I'll keep this going for awhile." Though he wasn't sure his position was something he wanted to keep forever. He would see where he went in the ministry before ever thinking of leaving. "It was beautiful. My groom was very handsome. It was a small wedding, but enjoyable. I have a picture on my desk of it. If you have never been you should go sometime." He had thoughts of moving back there, but it wasn't in his cards. He wasn't sure some days what Ullr really wanted, but he tried to do his best to make him happy. "It's alright, it's been years now, so I've gotten pretty use to it. I can get around just like anyone else. It hasn't stopped me from too much, plus my brother and I have been working on a bike that I might be able to control will my hands, so that is something." Ullr hated that idea so he didn't talk about it when he was around.

After the destruction of the majority of the department's share of Flutterby Bushes during former Minister Nickel's reign of terror, Mrs. Emmons-Clarke had ordered a new set of adult plants. They had been delivered earlier today and were now still sitting in their pots in the first greenhouse, waiting for one of the Botanists to plant them in their respective part of the greenhouses.
The special thing about these particular Flutterby Bushes? It was their time of the century (!) and they were in full bloom - naturally giving off a very strong scent to attract the unwary.
Beautiful, aren't they?

| Up for grabs! Sassenach | RAVENPUFF | Sing me a song of a lass that is gone | bookDRAGON | #awkwardturtle<# Archer had heard that Olly ordered five adult Flutterby Bushes, and was as excited as his kids when they saw lollies. He was going to start the process of introducing the beauties to their new homes. Feeling very attracted to them, inhaling the scent of his wife's shampoo, and freesias. They were just... mmm... divine. The head botanist stuck his face close to the plant and inhaled deeply. "Ahh," he said, straightening up. "It's just... magnificent. And we only get to see them bloom ever hundred years," he said to whoever was around. Weren't they all so lucky?
Anyone?
He picked up one of the bushes and walked it over to the area it would be calling home.

Upon seeing his Unspeakables and the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes employee return to normal after their physical contact with the Encephalons, Mysteries department head Airey Flamsteed sent YATI Ronan Carter and Head of Ministry Security Simon Bennett on a mission to find and collect the remaining three host bodies from around the Ministry and safely escort them back. Upon finding one Tahnia Romanos in her present state, she was soon apprehended and brought to the Thought Chamber where she too could reconnect with the body of the Encephalon whom had taken over her body as its host and was soon returned to normal as its conscious left her and returned to its rightful home.
All was well.
..............at least for now.
