On 28 February 2035, Albert Magnus Morgenstern was born to Sir Everard Lanford Morgenstern, a German Magical Creatures breeder, and Sabine Sonja Morgenstern nee Young from Kent, England. Albert grew up in his mother’s hometown of Kent with his older sister Vivian. After his primary schooling in downtown London, the Morgenstern family moved to Windermere where they established their business of breeding Winged Horses. Sir Everard, who was naturally adept in business and money making, soon made their family business; The Ashcroft Grove, a successful one. It is one of the most successful breeding facilities in the wizarding community to date.
Surrounded by magical and mundane creatures all his life, it was no wonder that Albert became interested in their family’s breeding business, often throwing himself into research work and helping out his father work out the kinks of their establishment at a very young age. Albert attended Hogwarts from September 2046 until June 2050. There, he met other wizards like himself, but made an exceptional bond with one of his upper class men, Gregory Lyon Ivers. Both had very discerning personalities which in the end brought out the best of them during their schooling in Hogwarts. Upon Albert’s request, he continued his studies in Scandinavia, and enrolled in Durmstrang to finish his secondary schooling. The former Slytherin felt like he was being held back in Hogwarts, and had the gut feeling that he would do better in his father’s former school. He was sorted into Ucilena house, and as expected, excelled in CoMC, Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. He stayed in Durmstrang from September 2050 until June 2053.
By the time Albert finished his secondary school, their family business has grown into a fully functioning breeding facility, making the Morgenstern household one of the richest family in Wizarding Britain. The pressure of handling a big business venture such as theirs was felt greatly by the young Albert. Not only was he expected to continue the business going, but also to produce heirs to ensure the business’ longevity. With thousands, or perhaps millions of galleons in his bank account alone, Albert was sure that finding a wife wouldn’t be a problem. However, the idea of arranged marriage didn’t sit well with the fresh graduate. Albert learned that his family had betrothed him to a girl who was 12 years younger than him. Disgusted, and wanting to escape his reality, Albert spent his gap year in Serengeti, Africa to be away from his family. There, he devoted himself to volunteer work, as well as enrolled in pre-Advanced Transfiguration short courses, in preparation for his University.
Right after his gap year was over; Albert went on his way to Stuttgart, Germany to start his University life. At that time, his whereabouts was not known by his parents, however to his dismay; his arranged engagement was not dissolved by both families albeit his absence. Albert took matters into his own hands and started to self-degrade himself by sending humiliating letters to his betrothed, insulting himself...his family, and his future partner’s family. The young lady responded in kind, much to his amusement. The howlers turned into mild bickering, and ultimately into friendly correspondences especially when the topic would centre on creatures. As time went on, both parties had become curious about each other. Albert, who was fully aware of his betrothed’s young age, had set the agreement that they will not meet each other face to face, until the young Beauxbatonian girl turned 25. Until then, they are both free to see whomever they want despite being affianced. Their communication did not waiver even after the agreement was made, much to Albert’s surprise. In fact, both parties sought each other for comfort whenever times were rough for the both of them; Albert with the continuing pressure from his family and business, and the young girl, while she dealt with the usual drama at school.
Four years later, Albert graduated from University with a Major in Magizoology and Cryptozoology, with a Minor in Business Administration. Shortly after his graduation, he went on to teach in Durmstrang from 2055 – 2058. During his Graduate and Post Graduate Studies, he went on to teach in the Wizarding University of St. Petersburg Russia.
During the Summer of 2072, as agreed, Albert went back home to Windermere, England to take full reign of the family’s business and trust. In a simple gathering at the Ashcroft Grove, Albert finally met his betrothed for the first time; Antheia Elizabeth Grimmaldi: Italy’s Grimmaldi Winery heiress. The established, older heir was speechless the first time he saw her. Albert’s first thought was, ‘Why?’ hoping that she would have already married; someone who was better looking and someone younger than him. Unbeknownst to Albert, Antheia made inquiries about the man she was going to marry the moment she started University. Antheia spent her gap year tracing Albert, and, after she collected reliable intelligence, she purposefully enrolled in the Wizarding University of St. Petersburg in Russia, where Albert was a faculty member of Cryptozoology and Magizoology. Their constant communication through owl postage was not enough for her, given that she was smitten by his quick wit, and elegant charm. She knew she had to find a loop hole in their agreement to at least see him in person.
“Why me?”
“Be logical, Albert. It had to be you.”
September of 2072, Albert and Antheia married in Italy’s Palace de Caserta. The ceremony of course, was nothing short of extravagant. On 15 June 2073, the Morgensterns welcomed their first baby, Arabella Elise Morgenstern. Their second child, a son they named Aramis Wilhelm Scott Morgenstern, was born on 8 January 2075.
