I've made lots of potterish things... Most of them to my kids or their friends. The last one I made was a Ravenclaw school bag to daughter from a grocery trolley. You may think it sounds weird, but she was tired of complaining that her rucksack on wheels was always falling to the ground while my grocery trolley was always stand up. Then she asked me to give her a grocery trolley to carry her school books, I said okay and she said: "it must be a Ravenclaw's bag!" (she's 8 old-year, proud of having being sorted by Pottermore to Ravenclaw a couple years ago.) I sighed and rolled my sleeves up.
I'm not a seamstress and it's the first time I sewed a rucksack. Be kind with me, I did my best and she's happy, that's what matters.

Here some of the Slytherins things I made to my little boy... His robe, the pillow case (hand-painted, from a draw I found on internet) and a scarf.

Okay, the scarf isn't pretty, I don't know knitting, and haven't the slightest idea how to tie one line to the other and the knots are visible...

My son asked me to tell you, Ju, that he loves his pillow case and why it's not on my bed now, mum? How so? It was clean, no need to wash!

And my daughter heard me telling him what you said about his things and asked me to show you her things. I showed her bag, but she said it was not enough... of course she's waiting for comments on her pillow case too So, here we go!



Obviously, I didn't paint the pillow case, it was printed by the print shop, where the crests were printed. The Slytherin pillow case is 100% cotton and they couldn't print it the crest on it - I didn't understand, it seems that the cotton burns in their machine. Then I had to paint it.

Tell your son he's got plenty of reasons to love his pillow case, because it's quite awesome indeed! I have to get my fiancé his own Slytherin pillow (because he kept MY Gryffindor one! Hahaha! He's not even a Gryffindor, how dare he? =P )

The Ravenclaw pillow case is amazing as well! Tell your daughter that my mum also made me a Hogwarts cloak when I was younger and I love it too! Mine was a Gryffindor one, of course xD but it wasn't like this one, that has the whole house-colour inside and stuff. Mine was just a completely black cloak with the house crest on it (like the cloaks in the first 2 films). Yep, my cloak is THAT old!! Hahahaha! But now I have the official one (that was UGH-EXPENSIVE, but SO worth it )
