'Twas the night before the match, when all through the House
Not a student was stirring, not even my pet mouse;
The common room was decorated with Gryffindor flair,
In hopes that the Quidditch Cup trophy soon would be there;
My players were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of snitches and quaffles danced in their heads;
And the Head Girl in her witch’s hat, and I with my Captain’s patch,
Had just settled down to discuss the forthcoming match,
When up on the tower roof arose such a clatter,
I jumped from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew with much class,
Tore open the curtains and threw up the glass.
The full moon shining low over the green grass below
Gave everything a look like a painting by Van Gogh,
When, what to my disbelieving eyes and ears should appear,
But thick Russian accents, and someone yelling, “YO GRYFFINDOR, homies, we’re here!”
With a captain so handsome and looking so chum,
I knew in a moment that it was Viktor Krum.
More rapid than hippogriffs his broom couriers came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and pointed at his brooms by name;
"Now, Bluebottle! Now, Cleansweep! Now, Firebolt and Shooting Star!
On, Comet! On Nimbus! On, Oakshaft and Swiftstick! Oh there you are!
To the top of the tower! Hurry over the castle walls!
Now fly away! Fly away! Fly away all!"
As runaway hippogriffs avoid a death sentence must fly,
So too did the Quidditch professionals take to the sky,
Up to the tower-top the Quidditch team sure flew,
With extra brooms in their hands, even Viktor Krum carried one too.
And then, like a dream come true, I heard on the roof
The landing and dismounting that functioned as proof.
As I itched at my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney came Krum with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his hat to his boots,
And his clothes were looking dusty with ashes and soot;
A bundle of broomsticks he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a Knockturn Alley hag just opening her pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! His hair was so sleek!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a beak!
His thin little mouth formed a rare smile,
And I could tell that staying up this late was totally worth my while;
The Head Girl next to me seemed about to faint,
That or she was going to start worshipping him like a saint;
Krum had a tan face and absolutely no belly,
I was so nervous my legs shook like jelly.
He was muscular and trim, and as sprightly as a house elf,
And I laughed girlishly when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wiggle of his eyebrows and a tilt of his head,
Soon let me know I had nothing to dread;
He did not dare speak but went straight to his work,
And lined up all the broomsticks; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his large nose,
And giving a nod, like magic, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to HIS broom, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like one of those Muggle missles.
But I heard him exclaim, as he zoomed out of sight,
"Good luck in tomorrow’s match, Gryffindor, and to all a good-night."

'Twas the night before Chrustmas and through the castle,
All the children were cheering and all full of laughter;
The wand holsters placed on the nightstands with care,
In hopes that Dark Lord Voldemort wouldn't be there.
The lions were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of beating Slytherin in Quidditch danced in their heads;
And Ravenclaw in their books and Hufflepuff in their chatter,
had just settled down from curing each teams batter.
When out on the lawn, the Whompping Willow sprang into action,
Waving it's branches like that would cause more than a minor fracture.
Away to the window the perfects fled,
To see Lord Voldemort lying unconcious in a flowerbed;
The Headmaster and teachers helping him into the Great Hall,
Man had the Dark Lord taken a cold winter's fall;
House elfs bringing out warm food and egg nog,
Lord Voldemort, Teachers, Students, and Headmaster all joining into song;
"Jiggle Bells, Jingle Bells; Jingle all the way;
Oh, what fun it is to ride in a on-horse open sleigh!"

‘Twas the night before Christmas! There was Harry and Ron sitting by the fire and singing some songs!
Waiting for Santa was sure a great joy they couldn’t wait until they got all their toys,
All was quiet and peaceful too, not even the tiniest of noise, NOT even hoot.
So off they went to have some fun in the cold cold night with no sign of the sun,
But you know Harry and Ron very very well now, running around at night obviously rings a bell.
They were all wrapped up head to toe in big winter woollies so they could play in the snow.
Still very cold with their warm gloves on they went to Hogsmead singing more songs.
They got some butterbeers smiled all night and they also had a great big snowball fight!
They came back the next morning still freezing cold, but Hermione would help them with her very kind soul.
So they cheered and laughed under the Christmas tree as happy as Larry and as busy as bee’s.
I think Harry and Ron had enough for the day so bye bye everyone and hip hip HURRAY!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and in The Burrow
Mrs Weasley was knitting. Three hours to go...
Her sons, even the twins, were asleep in bed.
Her husband was blearily shaking his head.
With a yawn and a grumble, Molly put down
her knitting, and stood up with a sleepy frown.
With a quick flick of her wand the whole room went black
And she trod up the stairs, presents in a sack.
Little did Molly know, but the house was not still
Two identical figures at their window sill.
Were waiting in silence for the house to sleep .
Once it was silent, out their room they did creep
Down into the kitchen, the Weasley twins sneaked
Whilst both carefully jumping the floorboards that creaked
Whilst Fred stood beside, a whisper of ‘awesome’
With a smirk and a grin, George whipped out a dungbomb
The twins sneakily placed it under their Aunt’s chair,
As Fred said ‘The old bat could do with a scare’
Then, as fast as they could, without making much noise
Fred and George scampered upstairs to wait for their toys;
The Weasleys would open their presents next morning,
And Molly would spot that the twins were both yawning
Molly, as their mother, was used to all their pranks
But, maybe for once, this time, she’d give them thanks
Christmas wasn’t much fun with Muriel around,
But there was a way, one Fred and George had both found
The sky faded lighter, morning was coming
And the Weasleys were waking up, merrily humming
The morning was happy, ’til a knock on the door;
Arrival of Muriel started much more...
As the family finally sat down for lunch
Something near old Muriel went off with a ‘Crunch’
And the whole room was filled with a cloudy green smoke,
The Dungbomb was causing the old woman to choke!
With a squeal of glee, Fred and George both ran,
Dodging their Mother’s aim with the frying pan
Great Aunt Muriel shrieked, running fast from the room.
With an angry glare Molly gave the twins a broom
Fred and George cleaned for the rest of the whole day
But, really, that was only a small price to pay
For the fact Aunt Muriel wouldn’t come back;
Fred and George had finally caused their Aunt to crack.
And even as their Mum sent them early to bed,
She whispered ‘Thanks’ as she kissed her boys on the head.
‘That was so awesome’ George whispered, settling down,
But as Fred’s reply came, he gave a small frown
‘But this means we can’t prank Muriel next year...’
‘But Fred,’ Molly said, ‘she won’t come again, dear.’
And with a small smile, their Mum turned out the light,
The twins grinning; they’d beat their Aunt in the fight
‘Twas the night after Christmas, and in their beds
Fred and George were sleeping, resting their heads.
Yet somewhere in distance, someone was screaming.
Aunt Muriel had found some more dungbombs steaming.
In her hat....

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the castle
not a creature was stirring, not even a Doxy,
The trees were all ready, decorated with care,
in hopes that the House elves soon would be there.
The students, all sleeping, up in their tower rooms,
while visions of the house cup danced in their heads,
McGonagall in her night robes, and I in my cap
had just stopped patrolling, in time for a nap.
The house elves crept up to the common rooms with joy,
and left all the presents, for girl or for boy;
And I heard them exclaim as they ran out of sight;
Presents to all, and to all [house elves] good night!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the site
Not a member was sleeping, not even the Cyans
Their eyes were locked in the monitor with awe,
In hopes that the morning soon would be theirs.
The charries were nestled all snug in their beds,
While ideas of posts crossed the member's minds.
And Sammi with Justin, and I with Ad,
Had just fired up our brains for a VC scene.
When suddenly there arose such a stir,
I sprang from the chair to see what was the matter.
Out to the window I moved with certain,
Threw open the window and threw up the screen.
The sun on the hill of my uncut lawn
Gave the scene before me an ordinary look
When, what to my roleplaying eyes should come up,
But a gorgeous redhead, and her fiance!
With a slight limp, so laid back and calm,
I knew in an instant it must be my Addy.
More faster than wolves their family they came,
And the two called them by the most familiar of names!
"Now Anna! now, Mari! now, Ren'Ai and Cal!
On, Alex! On, Mikey! on Bradin and Cass!
To the tip of the roof! to the branch of the tree!
Now cast away! cast away! Cast away all!"
As dead flowers that before the wild tornado go,
They jumped in a van, and drove right around.
So down to the corner the coursers they drove,
With the car full of kids, Ad and Justin too.
And then, in a wink, I heard on the deck
The dancing and stomping of each of their shoes.
As I pulled in my head, and was turning so quick,
Down the staircase Ad and Justin came with no sound.
They were dressed all in black, from their heads to their feet,
And Ad's clothes were all ripped with branches and thorns.
A sack full of of stuff Justin had on his back,
And he looked like a hobo, just standing like that.
Her eyes-how they shone! her smile how pretty!
His lips were like blood, his ears like strawberries!
Her sweet long hair was pulled up with a string,
And the stubble on his chin was as obvious as could be
The studs of diamonds fastened in her ears,
And the shine encircled her face like a sun.
He had an angled face and a tall stature,
That trembled when he snickered, a tree in an earthquake!
She was willowy and thin, a pretty little thing,
And I shrieked when I saw them, I couldn't help myself!
A spark of his eyes and a shake of her hair,
Soon told me that I had not a thing to share.
He said not one thing, but walked straight through the room,
And sat at the computer, then turned like a flash.
And moving his hand to Ad with a flick of his head,
And flashing a grin, outside they dashed!
They ran to the van, to the family a shout,
And off they all drove like they never existed.
But I heard her exclaim, as they were nearly gone,
"Many blessings to all, and to all, good posts!"

Twas the night before Christmas, no one was in sight
Not even in Diagon Alley, ’cos it was a cold chilly night.
Gringotts was all closed up, all the Goblins were asleep.
There was no sound to be heard, not even a peep.
Back at Hogwarts, while all the kids were in bed
The house elves were busy, because soon they would need to be fed.
So they cooked up a feast, it was a sight to behold
The clean cups and dishes, they were shining like gold.
In the Great Hall, 12 Christmas trees were floating up in the air,
If one looked really carefully, they would swear they could see pixies helping up there
Decorating the trees with colored tinsel and glass balls
All helping and working while singing “Deck the Halls”.
Eyes were opening, although it was only dawn,
The students were ready to welcome this beautiful Christmas morn,
There were presents to open and gifts were exchanged,
But then it was time, into regular clothes they all changed.
Then down to the Great Hall, to their House Tables they did go
First for the announcements and then on with the show
Lions and Badgers and Eagles and Snakes,
They all agreed to give House rivalry a break.
For today was Christmas, and for those who didn’t go home,
Hogwarts would be where they would celebrate, they wouldn't be alone.
It was time to dig in, the feast table was full
With all kinds of food that would make anyone drool.
There were pot pies, and turkeys, a roast beef or two
There was mash potatoes, and Salami and sausages too.
There was treacle, and jello and pudding made of jam
There were all kinds of sandwiches, even some filled with ham.
Everyone dug in for famished they were
Then they all washed it down with all types of juice and for some, butterbeer.
And once they were done and they all had their fill
Out they all ran to play on the hill.
And in the sunshine, they played in the snow
They threw snowballs at each other, their faces aglow
But their peace was shattered when a noise they did hear
A loud HoHoHo and the sound of reindeer.
It's Santa one kid said jumping with glee
I remember him cuz I once sat on his knee
And told him what I wanted for Christmas and all that good stuff
I only had to tell him once and that was enough.
So all the other kids waited for Santa to fly down
But it wasn't that big fat jolly man in red who landed on the ground
It was a dirty old man dressed in red PJs, who was then followed by his broom
He said, "Hi there everyone, do you guys here have room?
There's no place at the Leaky Cauldron, nor at The Three Broomsticks Inn
So I took to the sky and went for a spin
I've been flying around to find a place I could stay
I need a place to rest my head, at least just for one day."
So Hogwarts it was for the strange guy in red
The students showed him around and then to his bed
They thought they would see him later that day
But when they came to find him, he was gone to their dismay.
But in his place they were all very surprised to see
More gifts and presents then there ever could be
And in the far distance they could still hear a loud HOHOHO,
Merry Christmas to all at Hogwarts and to SS staff, HAPPY HOLS!

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the world,
Snitchseekians waited for all to be unfurled.
Their laptops were open on their beds late at night,
as they waited with glee for the moment just right.
The time was now near, that they all waited for.
And they knew Christmas spirit was coming once more.
Curled up in their blankets with hot cocoa nearby,
They waited, and waited, and waited... but why?
Through the Days of Potter, the anticipation grew,
for the 25th day, when the morning was new.
For they all got the chance to make things all right,
and bring Christmas cheer with all of their might.
Sometimes the world can be sad and unfair;
People are are lonely, with burdens to bear.
But we all come together one day of the year,
to show them our love, and melt away the fear.
So, on this night before Christmas, wherever they are,
Snitchseekians wait together, whether near or far;
to show their love for everyone, any shape or size
and spread Christmas joy from night to sunrise.

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the castle
Professors were making their rounds - what a hassle!
The Great Hall was decked out with pine trees and baubles
And one long dinner table to prevent Christmas squabbles.
The students were nestled all snug in their dorm
With curtains pulled tight 'round their beds to keep warm.
Dumbledore in his slippers and Snape with a sneer
Kept watch in the halls lest some students appear.
When in the Great Hall there arose such a clatter,
They both raced downstairs to see what was the matter.
Through every dark hall, they flew on swift feet,
Snape hoping an unruly Gryff they would meet.
The Great Hall was empty, or seemed at first look,
A glittering wonderland out of a book.
But what, to their curious gaze should they see?
A red-clad old man laying under the tree.
"Who is that man?" Old Snapey supplied,
As he rushed toward the tree with his wand at this side.
"How did he get here? And where is he from?"
But the wizened old man seemed to be struck dumb.
Dumbledore grinned, "Now, this must be St. Nick.
Help him up to his feet, Severus. Be quick!"
Snape grumbled and groaned, but he helped Nick to his feet
And they three took a moment upon their first meet.
The two old men nodded, one round and one thin,
Each tugged on his beard, and then nodded again.
"I'd heard stories about you, but I didn't believe,"
St. Nick declared as he shook soot off his sleeve.
"I was flying o'rhead when the school I did see
And the reindeer dropped closer, for I thought maybe
This distant old place, so far in the cold
Might need Christmas cheering, as in days of old."
Snape gave a snort, which was much like his sneer,
And he pointed around at Hogwarts' festive cheer.
"Look at this place, at the tinsel, the trees,
The holiday crackers... we don't need you. Please!"
And St. Nick looked 'round, though his face wasn't jolly.
"I can see it quite clearly. Not ivy or holly
Or egg nog and cookies, nor e'en mistletoe
Are needed at Hogwarts. Your spirit does show."
The old man then turned to return to his sleigh
But the sly old Headmaster stepped into his way.
"We are quite festive, that much is true,
But don't you believe, sir, that we don't need you."
"We have all we need to make Christmas complete,
All except one, the most arduous feat.
If you can provide it, the gift that I query,
Then you alone, Nick, will make Christmas most merry."
He whispered his words that Nick only could hear,
And the jolly old elf gave a nod with great cheer.
Then he marched to the chimney, lay his finger to nose
And with a small poof, up the chimney he rose.
"What did you ask, sir?" Snape's voice broke the hush,
But the canny Headmaster no answer did rush.
Instead, he just pointed above to the sky
Where, through the ceiling, first snow it did fly.
