Everyone around me went silent for a few seconds trying to register what happened before the victorious roars filled the world all at once; in sync though unrehearsed. Suddenly everything looked brighter, livelier! Even the bodies lining the side of the Great Hall seemed to be vibrating with pride.

Harry sat at the water's edge. He missed his parents. Harry remembered the first time he saw them in the Mirror of Erised. Dumbledore had told him that the mirror showed him what he desired. But deep in his heart, Harry knew that there was another reason why he kept seeing them. They had died but they hadn't really gone away. All he had to do was think of them, and there they were.

Just like they had appeared in the graveyard and again in the Forbidden Forest. Yes magic may have helped, but love always conquers everything. Even death.

Lord Voldemort was finally dead!

The Death Eaters had fled. Good had won over Evil. Light had overcome the Dark. All was well with the world again. The Muggles may not really know what had conspired that fateful day or even the many days before that, but the wizarding community did. They would be talking about how Harry Potter and his friends brought hope and peace back to their doors. The cold, dark days they thought they would see when Lord Voldemort and his followers won, was now a thing of the past.

Harry Potter lived in the room under the stairs for almost eleven years of his life. Then one day, owls came delivering mail addressed to him and his life changed forever. When he turned eleven, Harry met Hagrid. Hagrid told him who his parents were, what had happened to them, but most importantly, that he could do magic.

Harry was soon surrounded by people who were just like him. To them, he was known as the Boy Who Lived. But Harry didn't care about that. He was among friends. He had finally found a place he could call home.

Ron knew that he had messed up royally. He shouldn't have left Harry and Hermione when they needed him the most. The moment he had apparated out he regretted it. It was that darn locket! It had made him jealous of Hermione's friendship with Harry. But he had heard her voice saying his name coming through the Deluminator and followed it back to them.

Harry was more than happy to see him. Of course he would. Ron had saved his life. But Hermione was still angry. The silent treatment was bad. Ron just wanted her to talk to him again.

As Severus looked into Harry's eyes, he saw for the last time, Lily's eyes. Harry had her eyes. Snape finally got to see her one last time. All these years, even after she had left Hogwarts and married James, Severus never stopped thinking about her. He never stopped loving her.

He remembered the first day they met. He knew, even then, that he had found his one true love. But it was not to be. She eventually loved another.

But she was now with him...at the end.

Luna sits alone, daydreaming away. Faintly through the haze she can make out the voices of her peers. They call her 'Loony Luna Lovegood' and mock her for her lack of shoes. They stare at her and laugh at her clothes and beliefs, but that's okay.

"I'm just fine," she sighs breathily. All of their words are gone with the wind. She rolls on.

Luna doesn't let herself be affected by those words. They mean nothing, and are only meant to hurt. She know people say those thing because she's different and strange. And that's okay.

Those were some of the people who died, but their work was not done. As Ginny wiped a tear away from her cheek, she knew to keep going. She turned and ran out of the Great Hall. She wished that none of this had happened, not anyone, not Fred, Fred, oh why was her brother gone? She looked back. She saw her family weeping, others sobbing. And in that moment she knew.

Her generation didn't start the fire, but they would end it.

The Quidditch Trophy.

Oliver Wood, Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, yearned to hoist up the trophy at least once, before he graduated from Hogwarts. But that trophy continued to elude him

Then Harry Potter came to Hogwarts and Merlin! could that boy fly. He was the best Seeker Oliver had ever seen.

Now Oliver watched as Harry chased after the Snitch. "Come on, Harry. Catch that Snitch." he called out to his Seeker.

Then he punched the air in jubilation when Harry did just that. They had won!

Gryffindor were finally the Champions again!! Oliver's dream had been fulfilled.

"Sorry, Cornelius," said my secretary, but I didn't care. Many had muttered that I hadn't believed Harry Potter's word about Voldemort, but they hadn't believed either. After years of dreaming of this position, after getting used to power, I had lost it.
