Yep! A McGonagall/Dumbledore poem (Another of my favorite ships)!

The Woes of Severus Snape

As Snape was walking in the grounds
Of Hogwarts on a fine spring day
He came across a little lamb
Which bit him twice then ran away.
He didn't seem a bit amused
But couldn't reach his wand in time
To hex the woolly, trainee ewe
Before it made the near tree line.
He walked on, to the placid lake,
(And thought of lamb chops as he did)
When all at once he found he'd been
Accosted by the Giant Squid
But, readers, please do not despair!
I tell you nothing but the truth
- S. Snape's revolting, greasy hair
Had made the man quite waterproof
And so when Squiddy spat him out
He found that he was still bone dry
(Though now he thought he might do well
To take himself back off inside).

Snape's mood had reached an all time low,
He wandered grimly up the stairs
But as his foot gained the top step
He felt it meet with naught but air.
He tumbled down and hit the floor
(But only landed on his face)
And found a pack of Gryffindors
Laughing hard at his disgrace.
Deducting all the points they had
He tried to save his dignity
When Harry's good elf-friend, Dobby,
Appeared before them, arms piled high
With robes Snape had sent out to clean
(Which were now all bright bubble-gum-pink
- While Snape was looking rather green).

Just when he thought he would encounter
Enmity at every turn
He felt the Dark Mark on his arm
Sear with a familiar burn.
Stumping back across the grounds
He passed a most familiar tree
Which flicked him high over the gates
(He landed in some poison ivy).
He picked himself up once again,
(His robes now well and truly torn)
And Apparated to his lord
Wishing he had not been born.
He bowed and scraped and swiftly said,
"At you service, Lord Mouldywarts."
His error inspired unrivalled wrath
In his master, Lord VOLDEMORT.
Uh oh, he thought, and tried to say
He'd had "a really trying day"
But no amount of grovelling
Would keep his hide from being flayed.

Now, readers, you will all agree
That Snape deserves the mess he's in
For reasons I need not explain
Except to say, he's a Slytherin!

A Giant's Thoughts

In a basket, a child rests
To the sound of an engines roar
Next to him, a giant sat
Knowing the child's duties
All the trials he must endure
He wants to protect him
From growing up too fast
His job to make him smile
To make the good times last
"Sleep little boy, rest while you can
Relax and breathe, and not fear
Forgot about of duty you bear
For you are safe while I am here
No matter what you are told
You deserve to sit and play
It's my job to protect you
And keep the world away
Don't think about the future
Just dream of having fun
Although I am not your father
I wish you were my son
Dear God protect this little lad
Let him know the taste of joy
Despite his noble destiny
Let him be a normal boy"
The giant wipes a tear from his eye
Willing himself not to cry
He couldn't help thinking of the past
Of the two now dead and gone
And he thought of their wishes last
To take care of their only son
Above the whistling of the wind
And the deep engine's roar
A sound could almost be heard, small and kind
"Goodnight, little Harry
Do not think about a war
For I am here, within your heart
The voice you can't ignore."

Yes, it has been a while since I posted some poetry. But, I am working on some and it's taking some time to do so. I will post some poetry really soon!

You're a really gifted writer, you do know that, don't you? lol! But I really like your work! Reading your poems makes me want to go and write my own!

I know you don't love me
You never did and you never will
You always loved her and you always will
But I just want to tell you

Unfogging the Mysteries

I gaze at the future and what I see
Are foggy mysteries that reveal themselves to me.
Struggle and suffering,
Hex against spell.
A war is coming
And good and evil will duel.
Dark Times grow near.
They haunt me in my dreams.
Will courage overcome fear?
My head is filled with the screams.
Now I know what will occur.
Who will win and who will fall.
One will bring an end to the war
And will unite us all.
So come and take a look, clear your mind.
My crystal ball is here, don't be scared,
Leave your scepticism behind
And a new world will be unfolded.

Danger, danger, lies ahead
Cannot tell you what
But you'll end up dead
If you don't take heed

The Forgotten Fan

I sit alone beside your bed and read you poetry,
The Healer says you're improving but you don't remember me,
The backfired spell, it took your looks and left you quite insane,
But you're more than just your looks you know, I love you just the same,
I push your locks back from your sky blue eyes and you show me that empty smile,
You have no idea who I am though I visit you once in a while,
You are a hero, the man of my dreams, your robes in impeccable style,
The wells deserved, five times winner of Witch Weekly's charming smile,
I used to write you every week and you'd reply to every letter,
But now your fame has disappeared I like you even better,
The other witches sent you flowers and wished for your good health,
But after a while they disappeared and left me by myself,
Your fans are gone, those fickle dames, you're no longer a heartthrob,
The most attention you get these days is from the healer who takes your mouth swab,
Your days are filled with emptiness, you don't even know your name,
No one wants your autograph or to hear about the dragons you've slain,
Although you were famous you still knew your roots which made you such an amazing man,
So I devote my life to you, as you're single forgotten fan.

Mimbulus Mimbletonia

Some plants stretch
Flat arms flung wide
Waxy skin stealing light
Veined palms throwing shade
On the shorter of us

Some plants curl
Spindly wrists slumping
Cool tendrils coiling earth
Knit roots taking soil
From the smaller of us

Some plants snarl
Barbed elbows tangled
Tined joints flexing air
Mad angles jostling breath
From the gentler of us

Soil, sun, space
I'll take whatever you give me
I don't need much

A Summer Rose

The lake shimmers and dances to an endless tune
Beside it, two souls sit, in passionate intangible fray
Joined in spirit and in heated touch
The last rays of the summer sun gradually ebb away
Summer days are steadily drawing to a close
But their passion lives with on their heartbeat
By the water's edge, a kiss is shared, placid and deep
So fervent and sweet.
Life rests inside her, and she rests her hand on it
As, with a flourish, he presents a rose,
A testament to the flourishing love that they share
Summer is dying, but their love only grows
"Let's name her Rose," he says, and she agrees
The ardour lives on in their child,
The proof of two loving souls entwined
And of summer days, so romantic and wild ...

Memories

Heart don't shatter
Eyes don't cry
Tears don't fall down my face
Memories go away

Hands stop longing for his touch
Lips don't wait to be kissed
Memories please go away

Eyes stop staring across the room
Voice don't whisper "I love you"
Heart don't flutter every time he looks our way
Memories please just go away

Mind don't remember his sweet words
Don't remember how soft was his touch
Memories leave me alone
Brain stop thinking of what could have been
Smile stay on as if nothing is wrong
Laugh keep sounding true
Keep hoping that time will heal your shattered heart
Memories go away and maybe he'll come back.

Last Breath

Curses flew around her and over her head
Maiming and killing those in their path
Is this the place she used to love?
(Used to: for now it was tainted forever)
And in a cruel parody of days gone by
The old tree beside the lake
Where she had once sat with her friends
Chatting idly and simply living
In the innocence of adolescence
Now marked the fall of a warrior:
Of an innocent boy who was no match
For the dark and he had known it.
Yet he still fought brave and fierce
(If all heroes are fools then are all fools heroes?)
Two foul words and he was gone forever.
So desperate to fight for all that was good
He was no match for the dark
And he died in vain.
(Couldn't have been more than fourteen)
He never knew what he fought to create
Neither did she, for that matter
As she found the man she sought
Watched his face fall at the sight of her here
(As if she could have stayed away)
Heard those deadliest of words
And watched the light leave his eyes
As the light left her soul.
When he fell and she screamed his name
Her world fell with him.
She ran to his body and held his hand
(Already it was cold and dead)
Though this body was no longer his
Once the fragile bonds that bound him
To this life were cut so callously.
And a single tear dripped down her cheek
(The cheek that once this dead hand had caressed)
Glowing silver in the waning moonlight.
She was already dead before she heard them
Those words repeated tonight, that deadly oath
Didn't need to turn around to know her end
The manic laughter she knew too well
(Deranged and cruel and bitter as the war itself).
Whooshing sound of impending death
Engulfed in green, she released
A sigh of relief as she was set free of sorrow
(The last breath brings peace).

Hre is a very special poem for Dobby. May he rest in peace.

Free and Equal

What does it mean to be a servant?
Dobby does not serve the Malfoys willingly.
Dobby does not serve the Malfoys well.
Dobby is a slave.
But in all stations there is freedom,
For nothing real ties a slave to its owner.
Dobby is the sort who will do what he likes,
Though he may have to iron his hands after.

A true servant is born of loyalty, and loyalty of love.
Dobby's loyalty is to Harry Potter, ever and always,
And by these things you may be sure of it:
Once the rules say he is free
To use the magic as he wills,
He would choose to bow his head and work as before:
Dobby takes no master's orders,
But will always come to Harry's call.

And he followed the cause of him who showed him love
Even unto death.

Here lies Dobby, a free elf.

What does it mean to be a servant?
Some say it's his duty to be used by the ministry.
Some think him a tool born to fulfill prophecy.
Harry is a symbol.
But in all places there is freedom,
For those with a certain disregard for rules,
For those like Harry who don't follow blindly,
But walk a path their heart urges them to,

King's Cross Again

A gentle breeze from the darkness;
A light winks out at us from around the bend,
Reflecting on rough concrete stained with grease
And metal rivets outlining glass and brick and mortar.

He flashes me a grin, which I reflect like a mirror,
And rocks back on his heels, hands in his pockets.
Cavalier, unconcerned - that's my brother.
That's myself - almost.

Wheels clack against rusted metal,
Brakes whining in protest as the train sails by us,
Stirring our hair in its slipstream,
Gradually slowing to a stop.

He moves forward before the doors have even opened,
Anticipating their welcome,
slipping between them without hesitation -
but I pause at the threshold.

I can't follow.
He glances back, his smile glinting with mischief,
But also with understanding -
He has known all along.

The doors slide shut,
Leaving only half his face in the window
Beneath my reflection,
Every line identical - but my smile is gone.

Invisible smoke made solid tugs at my heart,
And I reach for the doors - but his visage slips sideways,
Wheels grinding away with frightening swiftness.
The tie pulls painfully taught - and silently snaps, falling slack.

His face begins to disappear behind the glare
Of sunlight on the glass,
But he lifts a hand to me in salute
And tugs his ear with a wry grin.

I watch him long after he is out of sight,
Long after the sunlight has overwhelmed my senses.
The air beside me seems unbearably still,
Impossibly empty.

For hours I stand there, days, weeks, years,
Waiting in vain for his return.
I doze slumped on the bench beside the track,
Only to wake imagining the distant breeze on my face again.

Sometimes his voice speaks in my mind -
My voice, almost -
Finishing sentences after I've grown bored of them,
Starting ones I would never have thought of.

Then one day I step up to the empty, silent track,
And glance back into the darkness of the concrete and grime,
Thinking of the train that will come, must come, one day.
But not today.

Finally I turn away, leaving my shadow
To wait faithfully on that platform in my stead.
One day I will return here, and I will return without regret -
But for now I ...

Return home.

Here's a random Harry Potter-ish poem that I made not to long ago. It isn't the greatest, but it'll do.

Scones & Tea

I'd just returned from cleaning my pond,
So, to dry my hands, I grabbed for my wand.
To my shock, I clutched thin air,
I searched myself, and got quite a scare,
When I realized it fell in the water with the fish.
But this thought just made me think it was a wish.
To my relief, the pond was ordinary,
But the fish were enjoying some scones and tea.

That was really well done, all of them!

The Muggle Manifesto

O Wizard World, wit-crafted as your books
Were we by God, yet tools and toil are ours;
Bid us return, re-learn, resume our powers,
Command the morning with a Fiat Lux!
Yet not for magic but for morals bright/
Black-etched as moonscape would we share your story:
Child, Call--the Middle-Age-less allegory
That sets Lord Will-of-Death against Lord White.

Harried away, we feel an amputation
Of flit-quick wings that dooms us groundward go,
Knocking at humble doors with, "Do you know--?"
Seeking the Alley gate, the Platform station.
All folk, like Hogwarts robes, bear stars within--
