lol yeh i suppose... so am I! I'm obssessed with H/G! i dayream about Harry and Ginny all the time, my friends get really annoyed coz i never listen to them... i've practically written the seventh book in my head!

Chapter 9: Quidditch.

Before Harry knew it the tryouts for the Gryffindor Quidditch team came. He spent a week convincing Ginny that all the other competition was sure to be rubbish. It took him five minutes to realise the reason why no one was giving any orders was because that was his job!
“Ok everyone I have no idea what I’m doing so just start with two laps of the pitch ok?” He began so everyone laughed and obeyed. Ginny smiled at him and he found himself watching her far more than anyone else. Katie Bell was the only original team member left so he needed two more chasers and two beaters. Ron was still keeper due to his excellent end of year performance.
Ginny joined the team happily after an outstanding trial with a beaming smile. A new find called Demelza Robins shuffled in line with Ginny and Katie after standing out considerably. The choices for beaters however, were slightly inconvenient. Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan performed exceptionally in the tryouts and Harry was forced to let them on the team. He didn’t mind Seamus, but Dean constantly tried to get Ginny’s attention (of which was all directed at Harry), which annoyed Harry greatly, but he played well.
“Ginny are you sure you don’t mind Dean? I can find someone else!” Harry asked.
“Don’t worry as long as he plays well I don’t mind, I just have one request…” She replied.
“Anything what?”
“Can I be the one that hexes him if he tries to chat me up or convince me to dump you? I don’t want you getting into trouble when it’s my problem!”
“Ha, yeah alright you can do the hexing…” Seem as Dean was watching he kissed her briefly and smiled at the look on his face.
Quidditch practice went very well until one practice five days before the first match against Slytherin. Harry was watching Katie and Demelza demonstrate the tactics they’d been practising when he heard a yell from behind him. He swivelled around to see Dean Thomas being attacked by bat-winged bogies and Ginny flying away from him looking thunderous. She approached him with a purposeful look on her face and began to explain the havoc.
“Sorry he kept flirting with me and then he tried to give me a massage so I hexed him. I won’t let it affect the match I promise!” She said and kissed quickly in apology. As she pulled away and Harry started laughing.
“It’s ok I’ve been desperate to hex him myself, I just wish he was rubbish! Then I could kick him off the team!” He said and everyone (except Dean) laughed. Unfortunately Madam Pomfrey was nearby and arranged a detention for Ginny later that night, while she took Dean to the Hospital Wing. Dean refused to talk to anyone on the team (except Seamus) for the rest of the evening, which to his disappointment most people found highly amusing!

the next couple of psots are all about quidditch n stuff so they'll naturally be in red, for the good ol grffy quidditch team! even though i'm a ravenclaw...

The match against Slytherin drew closer and Dean decided to talk to everyone else and completely ignore Ginny, hopefully so she’d try to talk to him. The so-called master plan failed miserably. Despite the tension between Dean and the team, everyone was still playing well and hopes were high for winning the match.
On the morning of the match Ron was still muttering confidently to himself, as he had been for the last two days. Harry was confident that his team would win. Team moral had never been higher and the Slytherin’s taunts bounced off like rubber.
Harry gave a short confidence boosting speech before is team flew out onto the pitch. He now understood why Angelina was so bad tempered last year. The job was very pressuring. Draco Malfoy was the new Slytherin Captain so he was forced to shake hands with Malfoy. Harry crushed his fingers and was satisfied to see him wince. Predictably everyone except Slytherin was supporting Gryffindor. Everyone knew this was all because of Harry.
The seconds counting down towards the match were like hours. Tension ran between the players like a snake. Weaving slowly in and out, in and out, in and out. Eye contact between the two teams was constant, searing through them like an icy knife. The crowds were silent. This was the match of Gryffindor vs Slytherin, Potter vs Malfoy. The ancient feuds. Breaking the deadly silence, Madam Hooch’s whistle blew, the crowd erupted, the game began.

hellooooooooo i know i posted yesterday but the psot was boring and it was an evil cliffy (appropriate coz it's a quidditch match you silly moo lol) so i thought i'd post the match today coz i'm nice and also coz cliffies are annoying yet irresistable! i can't thankyou enough for the comments they're really supportive, now i sound like i'm making an oscar speech so here's the match:

Madam Hooch threw the quaffle and the experienced Katie Bell zoomed straight in and caught it. She was close behind the Slytherin keeper who was just making her way over to the goal posts. This was one of Harry’s new tactics, start quickly and take them by surprise. Evidently it was working as the Slytherin keeper reached the goal posts and turned around just in time to see the quaffle fly past her head. The Gryffindor supporters roared in approval as the Slytherins sat in shock.
The new commentator (Colin Creevey) was enthusiastically describing every detail of Harry he could find.
“There goes the new Captain Harry Potter flying away on his INTERNATIONAL STANDARD broomstick! He’s beginning his search for the snitch! Look at him go! He defeated of You-Know-Who and now he’s Quidditch Captain, wow what a guy! Oh he’s flying downwards now, what speed! He’s now heading towards the right, no left side of the pitch! Well left for me right for you, well right for some of you anyway but look at Harry Potter fly what an expert!”
“COLIN WILL PLEASE COMMENTATE ON THE MATCH AND NOT ON HARRY POTTER! WE HAD ENOUGH PROBLEMS TWO YEARS AGO WHEN HE GOT THE FIREBOLT!” boomed Professor McGonagall, into the megaphone and everyone in the stadium was deafened.
The Gryffindor chasers were weaving around the Slytherin team taunting them by passing the quaffle back and forth constantly.
“All right you lot stop messing around and score! You can have your fun later!” yelled Harry half-laughing. Ginny gave him a cheeky smile and sped off towards the goal posts, he found himself watching her too much again. After Ginny scored for Gryffindor’s second goal, Dean and Seamus had to go to a lot of effort to keep away the Slytherin chasers. It seemed as though they wanted to play nasty, but were failing.
Demelza fumbled the quaffle and Slytherin took possession. Everyone’s eyes were on Ron to see if he could live up to last year’s reputation. Silence fell temporarily and the chasers flew closer and closer. Time seemed to slow down until the quaffle was thrown. Everyone held their breath but for no reason because Ron made a spectacular save, that made Colin Creevey talk about something else for once!
Gryffindor were immediately back in possession and scored another three times making the score 50-0 to Gryffindor. The Slytherin beaters knocked the quaffle from Katie’s hands but before any Slytherins could snatch the quaffle Ginny did! The Slytherin team retaliated as one of the beaters flew up behind her and smashed their bat across her back.
Anger flashed in Harry’s eyes, but his desperation to help Ginny overwhelmed his desire to thump the chaser who hit her. He flew over to her as Madam Hooch took care of the punishment for once.
“Gin are you ok?” He asked.
“Yeah I’m fine, that hurt a bit though he got my spine…”
“Ouch, when I get hold of that beater I’ll…”
“Don’t worry about it Harry I can still fly, it’ll hurt tomorrow though…” She laughed. Madam Hooch blew the whistle and passed the quaffle to Demelza who sadly lost possession half way to the goal posts. The Slytherin chasers were flying towards Ron again; Ron was preparing to make another spectacular save. Peculiarly one of the Slytherin beaters was flying along side his fellow chaser.
Without warning the Slytherin chaser grabbed his neighbours bat and hit the quaffle into the side hoop. Ron being shocked by his sudden move was too late to save the quaffle.
The Gryffindor supporters yelled foul and booed the Slytherin team. But Madam Hooch hadn’t seen the foul and refused to submit a punishment.
The Gryffindor team started to moan and Harry was about to fly forwards and complain, but he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see Ginny looking at him.
“Forget it Harry we’re miles ahead anyway!” She said.
“Yeah alright… You lot quit moaning and carry on!” He yelled to his team who obeyed instantly.
In the next ten minutes the quaffle went back and forth between the teams, but Gryffindor managed to score two more times in the process. The score was now 70-10 to Gryffindor and the crowd was ecstatic. Suddenly Harry saw a glint of gold hovering on the other side of the pitch, close to Malfoy…
He accelerated instantly hoping that Colin wouldn’t notice and alert Malfoy. He zoomed straight passed Malfoy making him tail him instantly. Colin saw the commotion at last.
“And it looks like Potter’s seen the snitch, he’s now being tailed by Malfoy and they’re pretty close, well naturally Harry is far ahead but they’re still pretty close…”
Harry could feel the wind rushing through his ears as he got closer and closer. Malfoy began to fall behind on his ex top standard broomstick. In one split second he closed his fingers round the golden ball and rose up victoriously! Malfoy glared at him from far away but he ignored his taunts.
Upon reaching the ground he was crushed by an ever-grateful team. Malfoy landed near them and began taunting them again, insulting their family as usual. Ginny came up behind him waiting to stop him from attacking Malfoy as usual. But Harry had already yanked back an angry Ron and turned to say.
“It’s all right Gin, I can’t be angry while you’re around…” and he kissed her.
The Gryffindors retreated up to the tower and began a joyous celebration. Harry and Ron returned from the kitchens carrying enough sweets and Butterbeer to last a week. Well most of it was carried by the House-elves who volunteered to be temporary servants. Hermione was to pleased to complain for once. The party raged on throughout the night and everyone ate everything.

Chapter 10: Ashamed?

Harry was feeling very confused. He loved Ginny, she loved him. He knew that was true. She had told him every morning since that day in Grimmauld Place. So why had she just done that? As far as he knew he was about to kiss her and then the portrait hole opened, so he pulled away. Why did she think he was ashamed? But then it hit him.
“You pulled away idiot!” He thought. “Now Ginny must think you don’t want people to see her with you! That’s not true!”
Besides, he hadn’t really intended it to be well, a small kiss…
He didn’t know what to do; somehow he had to prove he wasn’t ashamed. But how? He looked out the window and saw a fire haired girl sitting under the Beech tree. Then it hit him like a giant iceberg.
“Ashamed? I’ll give her ashamed…”

hee hee the NEXT post makes me cringe even though i wrote it! so beware... thankyou again xxx

lol me to! my daydreaming is driving me mad, i keep acting out and saying my daydreams if you know what I mean. So if Harry says
"Well Yeah it's about time to..." and then walks out the room, I mutter what he said, and walk out the room! I even do it at the Dinner table...
