yes Nicole, I have another fic. It's called Behind Your Tears, right here in romance. OK here's the last post and it's over. Sorry, but I really have to end this before school starts and I thought this was a nice way to end it, since y'all insisted on another post. So enjoy 'cause I am NOT i repeat...AM NOT posting one more. OK enough of my little lecture type thing. ENJOY!!

Dana quickly dressed for the end of year dance and left the dormitory. All the seventh years were gathered in the common room all dressed up, ready to get the party started. Dana wore a black skirt and a green halter-top. Her hair was in waves and fell down around her shoulders. Across the common room, Jake stood in black pants and a purple shirt with a tie. Since the dance was muggle attire, everyone looked different then they usually did. Dana walked over to him and took his arm.
“You look lovely,” Jake said with a huge smile.
“Ditto,” Dana said and the crowd began to thin, going out into the hall as the clock chimed eight.
“If I tell you that I love you tonight do you promise not to run away?” Jake asked with a teasing smile.
“I promise,” Dana replied smiling back.
“Prove it,” Jake demanded. Taking his challenge she kissed him on the mouth. She pulled away and he smiled.
“Does that prove it?” Dana asked. Jake thought for a second and then shook his head.
“I might need a little more convincing,” Jake replied with a smile. Dana kissed him again, wrapping her arms around his neck. Dana felt Jake smile and she smiled too.
“Are you convinced?” Dana asked. He kissed her, slowly and sweetly and it slowly became a snog. Finally she broke away.
“Okay, I’m convinced,” Jake said with a smile.
“Good, because if we stay here all night we’re going to miss the dance," Dana replied. Jake faked horror and took her hand.
“We can’t miss the dance! We can’t!” Jake said in fake terror, but somewhere inside him Dana sensed real terror and worry. They entered the Great Hall that was decorated with good-bye decorations and balloons.
“This is great!” Dana said looking around. Jake nodded and smiled. He hadn’t stopped smiling all night.
“Totally great! Want to dance?” Jake replied and Dana nodded. He led her out to the dance floor and held her against him, swaying to the music. When the song ended Jake pulled her off the floor and they sat down at a table with Charlie and Damon. They had gotten together in sixth year. Charlie and Will had broken up at the beginning of second year, claiming that it was simply a crush that they had taken advantage of.
“So Jake…” Damon said and looked at Dana’s hand.
“You haven’t done it yet?” Charlie asked looking shocked. Dana raised an eyebrow.
“Done what?” Dana asked looking over at Jake.
“No, I haven’t. I will though. Just watch!” Jake replied with a triumphant look. Dana looked from Charlie, to Will, then to Jake. They all were hiding something from her. But what was it?
“Done what?” Dana asked again and Jake waved an airy hand.
“It’s nothing Dani Bear. Don’t worry about it,” Jake replied, but he obviously looked nervous about something and Dana was determined to find out what. Jake stood up and looked down at Dana.
“Want me to come with you?” Dana guessed as Jake opened his mouth to speak. He closed it and broke out into a smile.
“Yes. Am I that obvious?” Jake replied. Dana shook her head and followed Jake outside that hall.
“Is there something wrong?” Dana asked looking at Jake’s nervous, but excited face. Slowly he shook his head and took a box out of his pocket. Looking at Dana he kneeled in front of her as he opened the box. Inside was a perfect diamond ring, sparkling under the lights.
“Dana, will you marry me?” Jake asked. To her surprise Dana’s eyes filled with tears and started to slide down her cheeks. Jake stood and wiped the tears off her face.
“Not exactly the reaction I was shooting for,” Jake said and Dana gave a small laugh. He cupped her face in his hands.
“Sorry. I’m just happy. Yes, Jake, I’ll marry you,” Dana said softly. Jake smiled and kissed her deeply as a slow song began to play in the other room. Jake slipped the ring onto Dana’s finger and took her hands and held then against his chest.
“They’re playing our song,” Jake said. A familiar melody filled the air.
“Let’s just dance out here,” Dana said as Jake took her in his arms. She placed her arms around his neck and looked at the ring on her finger over his shoulder. It was just perfect.
“Okay, if that’s what you want,” Jake agreed.
“It’s what I want. I love you Jake,” Dana replied. Jake’s hold on her tightened.
“I love you too Dana,” Jake whispered in her ear.

Like the sound of the silence calling, I hear your voice and I’m suddenly falling. Lost in a dream. Like the echoes of our souls are meeting, you say those words, my heart stops beating. I wonder what it means. What could it be that comes over me? At times I can’t move. At times I can hardly breathe. It's over!?! *cries* I don't want it to be over! But, that was a spectacular ending.......it really was beautiful. You did a great job.

It was beautiful! I loved it....And I think you are right in ending it here....writing more will ruin the story...I LOVED IT!!! *Wishes she could write like Dan Crazy*
