I'm just a curious little thing. And we need more attention towards poetry! It's a skill and a gift, not a stupid invention for boring people! :scarejulie:

You need more options, i said i didn't want to keep it bottle'd up,
but the truth is:
1. I love writing and poetry
2. I want to be a slam poetriss
3. Its a way to express myself...
if you don't know what "SLAM" is, it is being a professional poet & poem writer, but you prosent them! Mrs. J (my english teacher) is in-charge of the Slam poetry thing at our school!

frankly, I'd pick all of them, but I can't.
"I can't put it in words"?? Last time I checked...poetry (the kind on this board), used words....

There is also a book of poetry called SLAM, very good too.

I don't exactly write,I just do.I have no control over what appears on the paper.
I don't express myself, and I can put what I write in words.I can't be judged, and thats what I like.I just write. It also gives me a weird sensation. That sensation is stong enough to post it up.Here it can't be judged.

Oh my gosh, yes i know - thats exactly the way i write! I really can'tcontrol what comes out onto the paper - its like this wierd thing, but it's great because it always comes out different! sometimes i also formulate somethign in my head and then write it down later - and its still really cool.

For me it's just.....when I have an emotion that I need to express, and I NEED to tell someone (but I can't, I'm too embarressed) but the one person who I know won't make fun of me is my notebook. It's kinda like.........have you ever felt how sometimes a song can exactly describe something in your life. Well, some experiences are so amazing that ordinary words don't qualify; you need words with rhythm and passion. One time one of my friends asked why all I did was write about love, and my ex. Well, love and sadness are two of the greatest and mysterious feelings in the world. It is only through poetry that we ever have a chance of understanding it.
I guess then, I just write poetry to try and understand, to let it all so I can out it back together and see the whole picture.
