Thx for the comments! Yeah I just kinda remembered that Hogwarts can't have the muggle stuff...maybe Hermione snuck it in and bewitched it??? Lol By the way, Dracoismine**, i LOVE your icon!!!

Chapter 18

Potions class. Harry had barely managed to drag himself out of bed that morning after spending the whole night wandering around the castle. Once there, he flopped down into his seat and rested his head on the table, struggling to stay awake during Snape’s long lecture on the importance of something or other in a something or other potion. Harry’s mind wasn’t comprehending any of it.

He dozed off, and had a very peculiar dream…

He was walking in the greenhouses, and saw flashes of red hair everywhere he turned, hiding behind plants, outside the windows, under the tables. He tried to get hold of one, but every time he almost had it in his grip, it faded away. Then, all the red flashes faded away. Now there was only one red headed girl, running away from him with a teasing look on her face. Harry chased after her, but when he saw Hermione standing looking at a plant in the corner, he stopped. He walked over to Hermione, trying to talk but his vocal cords wouldn’t work. She smiled and disappeared. He looked ahead of him, up where Ginny had been running, but she was gone also.

“MR. POTTER!”
Harry snapped awake, his body jolting backwards.
“HOW DARE YOU FALL ASLEEP IN MY CLASS!” Snape was furious, and all the Slytherins were watching intently.
“Professor, I-“
“NO EXCUSES! You have detention tonight at seven o’clock, and every night for a month!”
Harry groaned as Snape walked back to the board. A month? A month’s worth of detention, along with Quidditch, homework, somehow sleeping, getting to his classes, eating, and trying to figure out how he felt about Ginny and Hermione.

Chapter 19

Ginny walked down to Snape’s office. Even if love potions were against the rules, she had no choice. She still hadn’t figured out who it would be for, Draco or Harry, but she sure wasn’t going to go through another year without a boyfriend.

Creeping down into his private store, she quietly took what she needed while consulting her list, and started to sneak back up the stairs.

“MS. WEASLEY.”

Ginny stopped dead in her tracks.

“I suggest you return those items to where they belong, then go back to your dormitory. Oh, and I will be seeing you for detention tonight. And for two weeks after.”

Ginny sighed and did as he said, walking briskly back to her common room. Now what would she do? No love potion and no boyfriend. Maybe she could steal the items in detention?

*next night 7 o’clock*

Ginny walked into the Potions classroom to see Harry standing at a table cleaning vials. She inwardly groaned and started helping him. They worked in silence for a few minutes before Harry finally said something:
“I need a new cleaning cloth.”

He walked off to go find one and left Ginny cleaning all by herself. They spent an hour cleaning in silence before Snape finally told them they could leave.

And the next night.

And the next night.

And the next night.

And a week’s worth of nights after that.

Chapter 20

Hermione and Draco were getting along just fine, but Hermione was worried about Ginny and Harry. Ginny hadn’t told her anything that happened after the mini party, but Hermione could see things just weren’t happening between her and Harry. She decided to speed up the process. After running her idea past Draco, she put the plan into action.

“Hey, Ginny, can I talk to you for a minute?” Hermione called, running to catch up with Ginny.
“Sure,” Ginny smiled.
“I know a guy who REALLY wants to go out with you, would you let me set you up on a blind date?”
“Well, normally I would, but right now I’m really still getting over what Harry and I never had.”
“Oh, no, trust me, you want to go on this date.” Hermione smiled and winked at her in that “trust me because it’ll turn out good” sort of way.
Ginny sighed. “Ok, but no weirdos!”
“Oh, don’t worry,” Hermione said as she turned to go into Charms classroom, smiling to herself.

*later*

“Hey Harry!” Harry looked around to see Hermione behind him.
“Uh, hi.” He said, searching her face for any signs of anger or unhappiness.
“Harry, would you go on a blind date with someone?”
“Who?”
“Well if I told you it wouldn’t be a blind date, now would it?”
“Well is it someone I would want to go out with?”
“Yes.”
“Really?”
“Yes! Just say you’ll do it so I can go plan it!”
“Fine, I’ll do it.”
“Yes!”
Hermione skipped for joy down the hall while Harry watched her, inwardly wondering what in the world he had gotten himself into.

I graduated middle school today! Yay for me!

Ok I'm going camping up in New York tomorrow and I won't be back until the Fourth of July! So you'll have to do without posts for about a week... I'm sorry! I'll write more while I'm up there so I'll have a lot to post when I get back.

Chapter 21

Ginny walked down into Hogsmeade toward the Shrieking Shack, wondering who in the world Hermione could have set her up with. As she approached the fence, she found that no one else was around. After waiting around for about five minutes, she was about to leave when she heard footsteps behind her. She smiled, ready to meet her blind date, and turned around.
“OH MY GOD.”
“SHE DIDN’T.”
Harry and Ginny stared at each other, while they both silently cursed Hermione. Ginny’s mind raced as to why Hermione would do this, and Harry wondered how he could have fallen for it. Finally Harry broke the staring contest. “Since we’re already here, and because Hermione will kill us if she finds out she went though all this trouble for nothing, let’s just pretend it’s a date and walk around.” Ginny agreed and they set off down the path into Hogsmeade.

*at Honeydukes*

“Is there anything here just plain chocolate?!” Hermione scoured the shelves for a box of plain chocolates, only to find to her dismay that everything had some magical quality to it. “Sorry Hermione, I don’t think you’ll find anything like that here.” Draco smiled as he watched her impatiently ask the sales woman if there was any muggle candy in the entire shop. Looking out the window, he saw Harry and Ginny pass by, both with scowls on their faces. Seeing that they were looking for someone, he ducked out of view of the window, having a hunch as to who they were looking for.

“Hermione…”
“What?!”
“Are you done with your candy searching?”
“No, why?”
“I think we should leave.”
“Why…”
“Harry and Ginny are heading this way and they don’t look happy…”

Hermione grabbed Draco’s hand, racing down the steps to the basement and prying up the secret stone in the floor that was the opening to a secret passage back to Hogwarts. After hiding in the passage for a few minutes, Draco said, “Do you think they’re gone yet?”
“No,” Hermione sighed. “Why did I set them up on a blind date? What was I thinking?”
“You were thinking it would be good for them.” Draco pulled her close and smiled. “And I have a feeling that it will turn out good.”
“Are you sure?” Hermione asked, leaning her head against his chest.
“I’m sure,” Draco whispered, kissing the top of her head.

*meanwhile*
“Where are they? I’m sure they were in here!” Harry and Ginny pushed past lots of Hogwarts students intent on buying as much candy as they could carry to look for Hermione and Draco. After looking for a couple minutes and not finding them, they gave up and went to look in Zonko’s.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! I was camping and we actually got back on sunday instead of monday but I honestly forgot to post! I'm so sorry! Here's more for you:
Chapter 22

“What the hell was that, Hermione?!” Ginny burst into the Head Boy/Girl‘s common room with Harry at her side.
Hermione looked up from her magazine, surprised.
Draco leaned over the banister above the stairs unnoticed.
“What, the blind date?” Hermione asked, confused.
“YES, the blind date! Did you think just setting us up would make us instantly fall in love and then we’d leave you two alone?”
“Well, I thought-“
“You thought wrong!”
“But you told me you liked Harry!”
“Yeah, but he doesn’t like me!”
“Wait, what?” Harry asked.
“That night when you said you liked me, I ran here and asked Hermione for advice,” Ginny told Harry, then turned back to Hermione. “But I should have known that it would come back to haunt me!”
“Ginny, I didn’t mean-“
“Ginny, I-“ Harry tried.
“What?!” Ginny turned around to face him.
“That night, when you found me in the hallway, and I said I didn’t love you anymore…” Harry trailed off.
“Yes?” Ginny prompted.
“Well, I kind of….lied.” Harry finished weakly.
“What?” Ginny’s eyes grew wide.
“I did still like you, but I didn’t want you to know it.”
“Why not? I had already told you I liked you!”
“Yeah, but I wanted your help in getting back at Hermione for not taking my feelings about her seriously.”
“And now?”
“I still…like you.”
“I like you, too.”
Hermione looked up to see Draco leaning over the banister and smiled.

This is the end of this fanfic

I'll write another one soon, so look out for it. And I just realized Ron had a very insignificant role in this story. Poor Ron! I'll have to include him more in my next fic. And I just also have to say, the end of this sounds very cheesy, I know, but I thought it was the best way to end it.

Chapter 23

Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Draco walked down to the lake as the sun was setting. Sitting down by the lake, they all watched the sun's setting reflection in the water.

"Hermione?" Ginny turned her head to look at Hermione.

"Yes?" Hermione said.

"Thanks." Ginny smiled.

Hermione smiled back, then turned back to the beautiful sunset unfolding before her.

That was all that needed to be said in gratitude, and they all knew they were forgiven for whatever sorrows they had placed upon each other at different times.

And as the sun set in the sky, the sun rose in the skies of their lives as a dawn of a new era of friendship.
