Okies, here's another postie!
Hermione felt horrible after kissing Harry. It did feel nice and he did make her feel loved, but it was wrong. Her heart hadn’t made any progress in the right direction thus far. She was lost inside.
Sitting beside her in History of Magic, Harry didn’t feel up to par either. His stares at Hermione proved futile. What’s more, Ron seemed angrier and was easier to set off. The trio was breaking.
Every night, Hermione would already be in the common room, studying. Harry would enter and sit down for a moment, but being in the same room as Hermione when he could be alone hurt, so he would soon withdraw to his dormitory. When Ron entered, face flushed and hair tousled, Hermione would rush off upstairs in scorn. In depression, Ron would leave the common room and silently get ready for bed. He and Harry didn’t talk much; both were too absorbed in his own thoughts.
One afternoon, Hermione decided to overcome her sluggish attitude she’d been sporting lately. She decided to take a walk. This didn’t turn out to be a good idea because the weather was blustery and froze her ears off. Then she saw Harry walking towards her.
Harry noticed the clump of bushy hair from afar. Perhaps he could apologize for…what did he do? He couldn’t think of what he did wrong. She was the one who kissed him, right? Right now, strangely, he found himself in the mood for something pleasurable.
“Harry!” Hermione greeted, loping towards him. She managed a small smile. “I’m trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle psychologically.”
“Er, right,” Harry commented, noticing how flushed her cheeks looked against the wind. “Want to sit down for a moment?”
Hermione pointed to a stone statue of a unicorn and they climbed on its back. The wind was howling about their ears. She slipped closer to Harry, the stone cold under her. His warmth was radiating to her.
Feeling a bit awkward, but wanting more, strangely, Harry wrapped an arm around her waist.
“Why are we out here?” Hermione’s voice had returned to a gloomier tone.
He shrugged. “Does it matter?” Once he saw that Hermione was looking at him, he made a move. His desires were overtaking him now.
His lips met hers in a warm and zealous kiss. She didn’t resist and allowed his hands snake around her shoulders. Besides, he was very warm.
She shifted in her position, one leg on each side of the unicorn’s back. Harry kissed her face, his tongue caressing her cheek. Pushing him off slightly, Hermione’s lips reached for his mouth. She instinctively pushed him against the unicorn’s wings, no longer feeling the chill of the stone. He was a better kisser than Ron; he seemed so natural, while Ron was faintly awkward and stiff.
“This is crazy,” Harry murmured, kissing her back. It was like a twisted animal magnetism. She was suddenly so…appealing. Maybe because she was hard to get.
“Blame the hormones,” Hermione muttered, smiling.
