We were on the way back to the school. All five of us were in one compartment and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

I shifted in my seat as the uncomfortable silence continued. I glanced over at Lily and she was still reading a book, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

I frowned and stood up, unable to bear it anymore. I slipped out of the compartment and made my way to the front of the train

I sat down in front of one of the Slytherins compartments, waiting patiently for one of them to come out.

A few minutes later, the door opened and Parker walked out, shockingly alone.

"Caoimhe? What are you doing here? Aren't you usually on the other end of the train?"

I looked up at him with a slight glare. "That is absolutely none of your business!" I said angrily.

Parker raised his eyebrows and stared at me. "I didn't mean-"

"Well, I'd really wish you'd leave me alone you know!"

Parker frowned, still staring. "I didn't even know you were out here, you know. No need to yell at me. Just because I'm a Slytherin..." he told me, trailing off.

I stood up slowly, still glaring at him. A few minutes passed in silence and my face softened.

"Now," PArker began, "why'd you come outside this apecfic compartment?"

I sighed, knowing that he had caught me. "My friends are being idiots," I said plainly.

"And I take it you're a part of it?" he asked.

I raised an eyebrow. "Well, no.." I paused, frwing slightly.

"Well, I'm sure they'll be saying that your being an idiot, so therefore, all five of you are idiots."

I glowered at him again, trying not to hit him. "Fine. But I did not start it..." I trailed off, looking down at my hands. I thought back to when this all started. "Or maybe I did..."

I looked up at Parker and saw him smiling. "Well?"

"You just be quiet!" I said, turning on my heel. I ran back swiftly to the compartment.

Rawr. I can't remember how it goes, so expect it to end soon. XD.

I slowly opened the door, to find that Remus, Lily, and James had disappeared. I glanced at Sirius, who was currently lsooking out the window out of sheer boredom.

I sighed and slipped in, sitting right beside the door to be far from Sirius. I closed my eyes and rested my head against the wall, glad to be rid of everybody meaning the tension. I heard a noise but thought nothing of it until I felt something touch my hand.

Sirius had moved to sit beside me, and had an odd sort of smile on his face.

"I... Sorry about the summer. I-"

I held up my hand and shook my head. "Not your fault. It's Lily's, really. And mine."

"Yours?" he questioned, looking extremely confused. "How is it possibly your fault?"

"I... You know... When... I... James... Yeah..." I trailed off, and started coughing.

Sirius wrapped his arm around me and I froze. "Hmm... I suppose, yes, to a degree it is your fault."

"What does she see in you?" I asked, staring at the side of Sirius's face.

He sighed and didn't look at me. "I don't know. I really don't. She just doesn't see how much James loves her. He'd do anything for her."

"If he'd stop being such a toerag, then maybe-"

"Perhaps this year is the year?" he suggested, pressing his nose against my cheek.

I turned pink, and smiled vaguely. "Maybe. Lily can't fathom a reason why James got Head Boy. It'll change him, I know it will."

"We'll see," he replied, letting go of me and returning to his original seat. I stared at him, confused as to why he moved but then Remus, James and Lily entered the compartment.

"Ke! Glad to see you came back to join us!" James exclaimed, sinking into the seat beside me.

I flashed a smile at him, and started talking to Lily, who sat down across from me. I couldn't resist glancing at Sirius out of the corner of myeye, and I noticed Remus looking at me suspiciously.

We arrived at Hogwarts shortly, and I thought the train ride was shorter then usual. I settled myself at the Gryffindor Table, and was shocked when Sirius sat down beside me. I stared at him blankly and he winked at me. I scowled and turned away from him.

The Sorting went by quickly, not that I was paying a great deal of attention to it anyway. I amused myself by playing absent-mindly with my wand. Suddenly, I was jabbed in the side and I looked to my left. Sirius was frowning at me, clearly concerned.

"Oi! Bug off!" I said, glowering.

"Hey! I was just seeing if you were all right. You weren't paying attention to the Sorting. We got-"

"I don't care, Sirius. Which is probably why I wasn't paying attention!" I retorted, looking down at my empty plate.

"Ke, aren't you hungry?" Remus asked softly from my right.

I shook my head, frowning. I was hungry just a few minutes ago. What made me lose my appetite?

A few minutes later, and dessert appeared on the table. I eyed the apple pie sitting right in front of me. Remus must've noticed, because he took a piece and put it on my plate.

"Eat," he whispered, poking me gently in the arm. I stared him blankly, and he smiled weakly. I sighed and gave in.

I sat in the almost empty common room, yawning. Remus, James and Lily kept telling me to go to sleep until they finally crashed, but I never really listened. My eyelids started getting heavy, but I still wouldn't go to bed.

I heard shuffling and I jumped. I looked around wildly, but there was nobody there. I frowned and decided I imagined it.

Somebody or something touched my shoulder and I almost screamed my head off. Luckily, I caught sight of the person who touched me, but it didn't stop me from jumping 5 feet into the air.

"Oi! Black! Don't you dare do that again!" I hissed, smacking Sirius over the head with a pillow.

"Sorry!!!" he whispered, covering his head with his arms. "I didn't mean to scare you!"

I crossed my arms and glared at him. After a few seconds, my expression softened and he sat down beside me.

"I don't like Lily," he said randomly.

"I know... Why do you think I care?"

Uh.. -coughs- Yeah.. -snorts- Sorry about the post... I'm leaving tomorrow, and won't have time to post more.. And I don't have time to finish off the post.. Sorry!!

"I know... Why do you think I care?"

Sirius gave me an odd look, and replied, "I don't know." He looked over at the fire, deciding to avoid my gaze.

I blinked, extremely confused. Was he flustered? If he was, this is was very rare for Sirius to be.

"Sirius?" I asked, putting my hand on his arm.

"Yeah?" he answered, not bothering to look at me.

"Sirius!" a voice hissed and both of us turned our heads to the source. It was James standing at the foot of the stairs to the boys dorm.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Am I... Interuppting something?" James questioned, smirking at us.

I frowned as Sirius chucked the same pillow I hit him with as James. "What do you want?" he asked, picking up another pillow.

"Just wondering why you were out of bed, that's all," James replied, smirking even more brightly since he dodged the pillow.

"You were actually awake at this hour? I'd thought you be sleeping like a rock by now," I said, looking from James, to the clock, and back again.

James shrugged. I took the pillow from Sirius' hands and threw it at James. He didn't see it coming and it smoked him right in the face. "Why are you smirking?" I asked, frowning now that James had both pillows.

"I have my reasons. And that hurt!" he answered, throwing one pillow at me and the other at Sirius. One pillow missed my head by an inch and the other skimmed over Sirius' head.

"I thought you were a chaser James," I retorted, sticking out my tongue.

"I missed on purpose." James walked over to us and plopped himself in the chair beside the fire.

"Why are you smirking?" I asked again, prepared to throw another pillow at him.

James sighed and cast Sirius a furtive look. "Can I tell her?"

Siriurs shrugged. "You might as well."

"Sirius likes you, not-"

"Lily. I know. I'm not stupid. I've also been told several times. Wait... What?" I turned to Sirius. "You like me? Of all the girls in this school, you like me?"

Er... I'm tired... And I have to read through the story.... Yeah!! It's almost done!! *dances* I mean, how awful

It only means I can start my new story *cough*

Siriurs raised an eyebrow. "Wasn't it slightly obvious though?"

I turned pink and moved my mouth wordlessly. He leaned closer to me and the colour in my cheeks deepened further.

James cleared his throat and both Sirius and myself looked over at him. "I'd really appreciate it if you wait till I leave, Sirius. And how do you know Ke feels the same about you?" he quieried, giving me a questioning look.

"I..." Sirius looked at me, frowning. He got off the couch and looked between James and me. "Sorry. I never thought about asking."

"You're apoligizing to me?!" I exclaimed, aghast. "You've made a move on every girl without asking if they like you or not, and you've never apoligized to them," I paused, "then again they didn't really care. Since you are Sirius Black."

"Are you suggesting that you don't like me then? What's up with the 'they really didn't care'. What's that supposed to mean?" Sirius asked, turning red.

I laughed, the expression on his face unlike I've ever seen before. "Okay. What I mean is, have you looked in mirror? All the girls love you, or love to hate you! You have got to be one of the most popular guys in school!"

Sirius's anger faded, and he smirked. "So which category are you in?"

"Have you thought that maybe a girl doesn't like you, Sirius?" I said softly.

"That means you love to hate me then, right?" Sirius replied, slightly confused.

"Sirius..." I whispered and looked over at James.

James coughed and stood up. "Come on Sirius. You should, uh, get some rest. McGonagall is going to kill us if we fall asleep in class again."

Sirius shook his head. "No. I'm not going anywhere until I figure out what is up with her!"

I frowned, and I didn't want to open my mouth in fear of shouting. I was trying to control my emotions but the way Sirius was acting wasn't helping.

Eeeep! It's almost done!! Last post should be up soon. Maybe even tonight

I frowned, and I didn't want to open my mouth in fear of shouting. I was trying to control my emotions but the way Sirius was acting wasn't helping.

"Fine," I said slowly, after taking a few deep breaths. "I... You're really annoying Sirius. I'm not. I don't hate you, okay?"

"So you love me?" he replied, the message obviously not getting through.

"Sirius!" James and I exclaimed at the same time.

"What?" he questioned, confused.

I sighed angrily, and put my head in my hands.

"Sirius. Not evey girl likes you. Not every girl hates. That's what she's trying to say! You think about only yourself," James replied, finally having enough.

I looked over at him, slightly surprised. Sirius looked shocked as well.

"You really have improved, James," I breathed, giving him a look of apprasal.

"Yeah. Thanks," he muttered darkly. "Just get on with it. I'm tired."

I turned to Sirius, hoping that what I was about to say wouldn't make him go arrogant.

"Listen. I... I like you." I saw Sirius's mouth open and I raised a hand to quiet him. "Wait. Just. You... Please...." I wasn't sure what to say, so I stood up and started towards the girls dorm.

"Ke. Wait," Sirius said slowly.

I sighed and turned to face him. "Yes?"

This bothers me. The post before this.. I was almost done... Then I got kicked off

I'd finish it this post, but it's like early... So, there's probably one last post.. (for the last time)

"I... It's...." Sirius sighed.

"What? Are you going to ask me out to be another one of the girls you dump a few weeks later?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes.

"No! Never! I... You've been my friend since first year. I'd never do that to you," Sirius replied slowly.

"So... What then?" I asked.

He opened his mouth several times, then suddenly James disappeared up the stairs. Both of us stared then Sirius turned back to face me. He muttered a question I barely got, but understand what he wanted. Without waiting for my answer, he followed James up the stairs.

I sat on the couch, picked up a book, and was there for about an hour. I put down the book and sighed, then glanced around the common room. I spotted an ink jar and a spare piece of parchment laying on one of the tables. I wandered over to it, and with a flourish, wrote one word on it, and folded it up.

I snuck up the stairs, hoping no one was awake quite yet. I put the piece of paper on the table beside Sirius' bed, and glanced at him. His eyes flashed, and I jumped, flying back and almost landing on James' bed.

Sirius stared at me, then hissed, "What are you doing here?"

"I.... I was.. You asked me something, before you came back upstairs, right?"

Sirius didn't reply, but he head moved in a slight nodding motion.

"I figured.... I thought... I needed to give you an answer. And well..." I trailed off and glanced out the window.

Sirius' eyes moved towards the table and spotted the piece of parchment paper. He picked it up and unfolded it, the noise sending chills up my spine.

The one minute long silence was unbearable, and I was about to get up and leave, when a soft whisper broke the silence. "Yes? And you mean it?"

I sighed and nodded my head slowly, hoping he could see it.

Sirius smiled vaguely and wrapped an arm around me.

And that was the second happiest moment of my life.

It should've lasted longer, past the happiest memory, but I guess it was too good to be true. Sirius was the only one I truly he loved, and I know he felt the same way. It doesn't matter now though. Sirius is gone, and the happiest days of my entire life are over. That's all she wrote.

My bad? Oh well... That's it. -pokes the ending- And in case you're curious about the happiest moment/memory of her life, Sirius asked her to marry him ^_______^
