Me. No. Like. School. Or. My. Teacher.

I wandered the backyard, sighing slightly. It was officially over. Me and Remus, I mean, not the wedding. Well, the ceremony was done. Lily and Sirius had disappeared and I had already danced with Remus. I'm not doing that again.. Tonight, that is.

Mother came over to me and told me to get the spare plates from inside. Of course, she never told me where they were, so I had to go searching for them. As I walked into the house, I bumped into James, so I asked if he would care to help me look for the extra plates.

Walking up the stairs, he pointed to the spare room door. I shrugged and wandered over to it, knowing James was right behind me. I opened up the door and the sight before my eyes was a great shock.

I'll edit it to make it longer.. It's just, report cards came back yesterday... Well, I didn't make honour roll, which I didn't mind, because I thought I was failing religion. So report cards come back.. My marks? 8/10 above 80%.. the other two.. 62% and 63%.. So I was 5% away from making Honour roll... And it made me really mad...

Well, I hope you enjoyed that minor post... With an evil cliffie..

I quickly turned to face James. His face was red with anger and had a very surprised look etched on his face. I pushed him out of the doorway, closing the door behind me, and down the hall into my room.

James walked slowly across my room and plopped onto the bed. He sat there, shaking his head slowly.

"So.. She'd rather go out with my best mate, my best mate, then me. This is unbelievable!"

I sat down beside him. "Maybe Sirius likes Lily," I said hopefully, then instantly regretted it.

James stared at me blankly. "Do you realize what you just said? That's even worse, Ke! I don't care if you like Sirius! I've liked Lily since for ever."

I shook my head, blushing. "Well, either way, we're both hurt." I paused and looked over at James. "Lily likes Sirius," I said softly. "She wouldn't admit it and knowing it just made me..."

James rested his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes. "What exactly does she see in him? We're practically the same person."

I smiled, thankful James couldn't see me. "See, Sirius is a bad boy. According to Lily, you're an arrogant, selfish, idiot."

James scowled. "Like Sirius isn't?"

I laughed. "Why can't you just like somebody else for a change? What do you see in Lily anyway?"

There you go. Be happy. Sprend the peace. And don't steal poor reindeer and Santas and Snowmen from other peoples lawn. Not nice...

I laughed. "Why can't you just like somebody else for a change? What do you see in Lily anyway?"

He shrugged, lifting his head to look at me. "She's just.." He trailed off, leaving me on the edge.

"She's.. what, exactly?" I urged, poking him in the side.

James shook his head and growled when I poked him. "Sorry," I replied, slightly sarcastic.

He turned his head back to me and sighed. "Don't have to be. I'm sorry. It's just-"

I smiled. "I know, I know. Just don't take it out on me. Take it out on..." I paused, thinking of who he should. "Peter," I stated, grinning.

James laughed and shook his head. He poked me in the side as someone knocked on the door.

It opened to show Remus. "There's food outside now, if you're hungry," he said, eying James.

Psst.. James is mine.. Mine I tell you.. Rawr..

I looked over at Remus and nodded my head. "All right, we'll be down in a minute or two."

Remus turned and left and I stared over at James. "Hungry?" I questioned.

He shrugged. "Sure," James replied.

I sighed and took him by the hand. "Come on. Just forget about Lily and enjoy the rest of the night."

James stared at me angrily. "Fine!"

"Don't need to yell at me, James. Go yell at Sirius."

I heard a shout coming from downstairs, demanding I get the extra plates. I frowned and glanced at James. "Stay here... Please!"

I snuck into the spare bedroom, making sure I was quiet. Sirius and Lily were in a heated conversation. I grabbed the porcelin(sp?) plates quickly and made my way to the door. Suddenly, Lily practically launched herself at Sirius, and began kissing him. I dropped the plates in shock and ran right out of the room.

I wandered down the stairs, half dragging James by the arm. "You best stay away from Sirius, James. You are not going to be starting any. We can't let them know we saw."

James just grunted and I sighed. "He's supposed to be my best friend," James commented as we made our way over to the food table.

"Lily is the one who likes Sirius, James," I replied, frowning.

He snorted, piling mashed potatoes onto the plate. I reached over and touched his hand. "Enough potatoes for you, Mister Potter."

"I still don't know why Sirius is better then me. I just don't get it!" James said fiercely. He threw down the spoon, sending mashed potatoes flying.

I scowled. "Stop it! Don't ruin the happy day, please. It's bad enough for me thanks."

James chuckled darkly. "Bad enough for you? My best friend stole my girl."

"Firstly, Potter, Lily is not your girl! Secondly, Lily is free to like who she likes. It's not my fault it happened to be Sirius. Now, would you shush!" I replied, trying hard to shout.

He frowned and let me drag over to the garden seat. I pushed my way through the hanging branches into the secret area my mother made for me.

Oh.. He'll live... Perhaps... I've thought of the perfect ending for the story.. But that means I'm getting ahead of myself and I wouldn't want to go and do that...

I stepped over the seat, balancing my plate on one hand and holding back the branches with another. "Go on! I don't have all day you know!"

James nodded his head and walked through the space. I followed him in immeadiately and let the branches go.

"Have you always had this here?" James questioned, sitting down on the only bench.

"Yes," I said quietly and sat down beside him. "My mother made it for me. To hide from my father."

"Oh," James replied knowingly and didn't press on the subject.

A few minutes passed in silence. I set my half empty plate on the bench and stood up. "I'll be right back. Okay?"

He nodded his head, in a way as if he hadn't really heard me.

I rolled my eyes and made my way out of the area quickly, so not to be noticed.

I crossed the backyard, heading for the house, when Lily stepped across my path.

"Could I talk to you for a moment, Ke? It's important," Lily asked, her voice sounding urgent.

I couldn't say no because she was my best friend after all. So I followed her over to the side of the house.

"Did you enter the guest room by any chance today? Or walk past it when the door was open?"

I looked at her with a confused look. "Uh... Before the ceremony, yes."

"No, no... Like..." She trailed off and frowned. "Have you seen James?"

I shook my head slowly. "Don't. He's..." It was my turn to trail off.

Lily looked at me with wide eyes. "You.. You.. You saw??" she questioned, almost shouting.

"Why'd you do it Lily?" was all I could reply with.

She gasped and slumped against the wall. "He saw too, didn't he?"

"No really. He's torn, Lily! He's mad at Sirius now and... What's wrong with you?"

She dropped her head into her hands and sniffed. "I don't know! Sirius just... He-"

"Well speak of the devil," I said, looking to my right. Sirius was walking towards us, his head bowed.

"Hey. Have either of you seen James?" he asked in a hushed voice.

"I have," I said quickly, and turned to leave. He grabbed my elbow before I could get anywhere.

"Where is he? I need to tell him something."

"He already knows, Sirius!" I said, my voice horribly shrill. I tore my arm out from his grip and stomped off, fuming now.

*sniggers* Because... Haven't you noticed it's the last half of my name and I could probably get people to start calling me Danielle... *shrugs* I might just stop being mean to James! You just gotta wait and see!!

James turned his head and frowned. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Sirius and Lily know we know..." I replied softly, my voice fading.

James choked on his food and stared at me with wide eyes. "What?"

Er... *sighs* My name went from Ashley Danielle to Danielle Blake and they finally decided to name me Ashlyn Blake. Yes, my middle name is Blake.

And the post is short because I had to go at that time! Which means this short is post as well, because I shouldn't be on the computer. I should be doing my LA.. Because it's due tomorrow O.o But it's just copying so.... And I'm jealous.. You guys don't have school.... Oh.. Evil! Five Day weekend, then I come back to school. I get the Pascal contest test thingy then a science quiz (which was easy) and we have a LA project due on thursday which we don't get class time to work on... I'll stop talking now.

James choked on his food and stared at me with wide eyes. "What?"

"Yeah... They know... I don't know what's going to happen now..."

James stood up and started pacing. His eyes were closed and there was a concentrated look on his face.

I laid down on the bench, watching Jaems intently.

He suddenly stopped and sat down on the ground in front of me. "He likes you, you know."

"Huh?" I asked, confused. There were a lot of 'he' in this world.

"Sirius," James replied. All of sudden he started coughing.

"James? Are you alright?" I questioned, lifting my head.

He turned his head to look at me and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, still coughing.

I slid off the bench to sit beside him. "You don't sound all right. That cough came out of nowhere. What-"

He cut me off by suddenly kissing me. My eyes went wide and I put my hands on his chest, pushing him away.

"Are you mental?!?!!?" I shouted, trying really hard not to.

"What?" he asked, looking confused.

"You know what! You can't do that!! You two are-"

He cut me off again. "No. He kissed Lily and he knows that I like her."

"Lily kissed him! And..." I sighed. "I do not want to get into a fight with you. I wouldn't be able to live."

"Huh?" Remus questioned, looking very confused.

"He's your best friend," I repeated, knowing I've said it at least a hundred times already that day. "Just talk to him. No violence please."

James muttered something darkly under his breath as he left.

I sighed and looked over at Remus. "What is wrong with my life? Seriously. Ther's something wrong with the five of us."

Grammar is totally over-rated. Me and you. You and I. It's all the same.... Hehe... I couldn't find what I originally wrote... Which totally irked me... *sigh*
