“Therefore, you are allowed to come to the dance, but you must be patrolling at your designated times,” I said to the younger Prefect students. “You may bring dates also, but as a responsible student, we expect that you will pick a responsible date.”
The door swung open and James came in, wearing his Quidditch pants and nothing else. A few girls’ eyes popped and I raced to his side.
“James? Where is your shirt? And why are you late?”
“Quidditch practice,” he said, as if that were supposed to explain everything. He stretched a little and took a seat in front of the group of leaders.
I rolled my eyes and continued to speak, but my efforts were useless. Girls were drooling and guys were staring in envy. Sighing, I walked over to him and sat in his lap, hiding his bare chest from view.
A few girls groaned and put on a pouting face, but I just smiled. “So, if you’re going to bring a date, you must write down their names beforehand or they’re not getting in. Remember, this is a Seventh Year’s dance, so if you hear any word about younger students intending to crash it, it is your job to tell us. You are dismissed.”
They slowly trudged out and the door finally closed. I turned myself around to where I was facing him, but still sitting. “What do you think you’re doing? You’re supposed to be setting an example!”
“Oh, no, Lils,” he smiled. “Were you jealous?”
I scowled. “No, of course not. I just thought it was highly irrespon-”
He kissed me, stopping me in mid sentence.
“-sible,” I sighed, and then kissed him.
He wrapped his muscular arms around me and pulled me closer. I giggled a little and ran my fingers through his hair.
Suddenly, the door swung open to reveal Marie. “Oh, whoops,” she cried, upon seeing the two of us. “I was waiting for Lily to come out… I didn’t see you go in James… Yeah, I’m just going to leave now.”
She shut the door and I looked at James. We both had equally shocked expressions, but then he smiled and I burst out laughing. “Did you see her face?”
We toppled off the chair and instead lay on the floor, rolling around and giggling.
“That was great,” James smiled, wiping a tear out of the corner of his eye. He scooted a little closer to me then entwined his fingers in mine.
“You know, we really need to find Remus someone,” I said, rolling over onto one side. “He’s so lonely... and Remus, of all people, deserves an amazing girl.”
“I know,” James sighed, looking into my eyes. “You’re thinking of Marie, aren’t you?”
“Well… Yes. She does need a date to the dance, and he’s liked her for a long time…”
“But Sirius took her, I know. Have any ideas?”
I smiled. “Tons of them.”

Heck yes I'm back for the moment, but I will probably not be on again in like a week which makes real sad!!!! And Heck yes I'm in band!!! I play the French Horn!!! But anyway I caught up with the story and all I have to say is OMG!!! I loved it!!!! I had a nice read last night.....it was like 9 pages long!!! And they were all great!!!! Haha WOW everyone! You all just made me SO happy to get back online! I'm so sorry I haven't been on to post! I had a party yesterday for my birthday... we went out on my boat, and me, being the genius I am, forgot to put on sunscreen and I am SUNBURNED and it hurts to move!
Hermionespell- Those siggies are AWESOME. And, like everyone said, it really DOES go with the story!
Sama- It's awesome to have you back! I know how bust band could be- Friday I had a concert (it was amazing!), Monday I have a drumline meeting, and the 11th is our awards ceremony. I know how it goes, so don't worry! I'm just glad to have you here!
