| The Book - Sa13+ Hi... this is a one shot story I wrote for my english class... and Birthe if you are reading this, I am Nina from 1a (SAG) and now you know that I am not a copycat... well I hope you like it... I really hope so because if you don't then my teacher wont... The book Three young Gryffindors sat in the corner of the library, at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. One of them was a girl, Hermione Granger the brilliant top student was holding a big, dusty, old book, obviously reading it aloud in a mere whisper to the boys. Ron Weasley was wearing a scruffy robe, hadn’t done his tie correctly but didn’t really seem to care at all, his red hair was the only reason you would notice them. The third Gryffindor sat in the shadows hiding from the public view, this boy was Harry Potter, the boy who lived. “Slipping the stone box into his pocket, the Professor knelt down and peered through the crack at the foot of the cadaver. "Can't see anything," he said. "But there is a rat or something in the tomb. I can hear it moving about. is there anything we can use to raise the cadaver a few inches?" "There's a crowbar here," answered the Reverend Walter. "The workmen were using it this morning." Together they inserted the implement into the crevice and pressed upon it. The slab moved easily, and the Professor was looking round for something to use as a prop when the clergyman suddenly screamed and let go of the bar. "What on earth's the matter?" enquired his cousin petulantly. "The hand - the hand," cried the Canon “Didn't you see the hand all covered with hair? It came up from the coffin…" “What a bunch of codswallop!” Ron exclaimed making Hermione glare at him “Hermione, where exactly did get this book?” Harry asked trying to look serious “The restricted section” she simply answered the bespectacled boy in front of her as if the asked her to pass the roast beef. “Are you mad?” Ron gawped at her “How in the name of Merlin did you get?” he stared at her in disbelieve, but Harry had already figured that out “So that is why you had to borrow my invisibility cloak…” Hermione beamed at him. “Can someone please tell me, why this batty book was in the restricted section of the library?” Ron asked as they made their way to the Gryffindor common room “Well obviously it was put there for a reason…” Hermione had this galling habit to not say her conclusion before it was to late “And?” Harry egged her on “Well, my theory is that the contents of this book, how mad it might seem,” she glanced at Ron “is true.” Ron rolled his eyes when she looked the other way. After a week of listening to Hermione’s absurd theories about the book the boys just pretended to be listening. Then one night Hermione dashed into the boys dormitories with a frantic look on her face “Hermione… you are not supposed to be here” Ron said from his bed but she wouldn’t listen. “Listen… the tomb, in the book…” Hermione was panting trying to catch her breath “It was built for Louis de Clinton!” she said with triumph in her voice, but then she noticed the boys blank facial expressions “Don’t you two ever listen in History of Magic?” she said with annoyance “Well we try,” Harry started “But…” he glanced at Ron for help “But Professor Binns is a dull, old ghost who is siphoning life out of us!” Hermione didn’t look pleased but nevertheless she continued “Louis de Clinton was the wizard who invented the Cruciatus curse” Harry immediately thought of the night of Voldemorts return. Voldemort moved slowly forward, and turned to face Harry. He raised his wand. ‘Crucio!’. It was pain beyond anything Harry had ever experienced; his very bones were on fire; his head was surely splitting along his scar; his eyes were rolling madly in his head; he wanted it to end… to black out…to die.[1] Harry didn’t say a word, Ron silently mumbled “Blimey”. After a long silence Harry finally spoke up “He was a dark wizard, right?” Hermione nodded “He was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and he had this box in this his hand, with a inscription that said ‘ego dormio et cor meum vigilat’ do you know what that means?” Harry shook his head. “It means if I have translated it correctly that is: I master and my heart be awake” Harry and Ron shared a knowing look think that Hermione had gone mental “I know it doesn’t make sense… but listen… there is more he also had this metal disc and the inscription…” “Not more Latin!” Ron interrupted “ Yes, Ron… no more Latin… this one said: heart for a heart. My curse shall be on ye wight who wakens me” “That makes sense…” Ron said even though he surely had no idea what Hermione was talking about “So it basically it says if anyone comes near his tomb, they will be hit by the Cruciatus curse” Harry concluded “Yes… and no… since he was a dark wizard I expect that pure bold wizards can enter the tomb” Ron looked at them “Guys… do you know what this means?” he got out of bed “I think we have just located Voldemort”. The End
