| I am dead serious everyone, if you take credit for any of my poems I will hunt you down and hurt you. Please don't take them, i've worked hard on them.
You have been told!
here's one called 'Pride' i wrote it right after 9-11
From the day it happened
eagles sore with tears and
lady liberty watched as we fell to the floor
from then on we knew, we had to stay together
we could not hide behind each other nor
behind our name.
We have to stay United
because we are United States
We will fight this war and become number one
Because in the end we will conqure all.

thanx!
heres a little poem i told my friend and it made her cry for some reason! I have no clue why but maybe it was just because her boyfriend dumped her just before i tole her this poem but she cried anyway when i read it. So here it is anyway.
Poetry is not just words, thrown into a sentence.
its a way of expression
using words to say what you can't
expressing your self with writing not only for others enjoyment but it
frees the soul and opens your heart.
*!You should try it some time*! *wink wink*

this one is called 'Normal' (sorry about the spelling errors)
I am no oridnary girl
not the same as everyone else
I don't sit around and play
with dolls or worry about my hair
forget the makeup and dresses, expecially the mary-janes
give me a hat and some army pants
And when I go to heaven
forget the darn harp
I'll be playing on an guiatar
I'm not the oridnary kind of normal
I'm that one special kind, that comes every so often
I'm one of a kind.

Thanx everyone,
Paths
Knowledge is a thing only you can do.
Knowledge is for you, yourself
to help you live to the fullest.
Knowledge is a thing only you can do.
And as you look into the furture in two
paths.
I ponder to think of what lies ahead.
I lay and think of knowledge you yet to
know.
Of roads you thinks you are
and roads of who you really are.

When your dreaming of a far away land
where birds always fly and fish always swim
and boys and girls always play all day in
the sun and they say why can't this
world be more like my far away land?
And where the date 9-11 don't make them wanna
cry and when they go to big NYC and when they step on Ground 0
new buildings will be there
and new life will be restored.
They'll come back with happy memories,no sad.
Then my far away land won't be so far away,
it will be right here in our world today!

I like your poems alot, but I don't think the threat in the beginning was necessary.
Keep posting more. Keep up the good work! :sorcerer:

I agree. I like your poems, but the first one felt a lot like blind patriotism to me. Don't mind me though, I'm sort of Anti-American
