I broke away from the snogging session briefly. “I think whoever was there is gone now,” I murmured to Hermione, whose warm breath was on my chest.
“Mmm…” she mumbled, reaching up to kiss me again. She obviously didn’t care about that.
This didn’t bother me in the least, and I accepted her kiss. We snogged for I don’t know how long, but finally, we both made it (in one piece) to our separate Common Rooms in the early hours of the morning. Hermione
I felt enchanted the next day (which was Friday) and walked, starry-eyed, around the school. Even Snape’s snide remarks couldn’t get to me.
To make things even better, when I was floating down the hall, Draco bumped into me—purposely. I looked at him in surprise, but then relaxed as he was looking at me with an expression similar to the one I had on my face, I’m sure. His cronies were nowhere to be seen.
He took a small piece of paper from his bag and dropped it into my hand, winked, and then disappeared down the hallway.
I stared in his direction until I couldn’t see him anymore, then headed to a somewhat deserted corner. Opening the note, I instantly smelled Draco’s cologne. It simply read: Meet me at the lake this afternoon after school lets out. Bring your bathing suit.
The classes seemed to inch by, as my thoughts kept drifting back to Draco and when the school day would finally be over. Finally, it was, and I eagerly jumped out of my desk, gathered my things, and rushed out the door.
Hastily telling the Fat Lady the password, I zoomed up to my dormitory. Throwing my book bag onto my bed (which spilled books all over the covers, but I didn’t care) and rummaging through my trunk for my bikini, I couldn’t contain my excitement. My bathing suit was, ironically, at the very bottom.
I hid it under my school robes and raced down the stairs. Remembering myself, I slowed to a quick walk as I reached the Common Room. When I passed through the portrait hole, Ron and Harry were entering.
“Where are you going?” Ron asked me, looking slightly suspicious.
“To…” I thought fast. “To the library.” This seemed to satisfy him and I walked away, barely concealing my smile.
