I was one to keep my word, so I headed down to the Great Hall doors at midnight, my heart racing. Getting caught by a teacher did not appeal to me whatsoever. I was much relieved when Draco’s fair head appeared from the darkness.
Without a word, he took my hand and guided me down a few corridors, which I was sure was Slytherin territory. When he reached a portrait of a studious-looking wizard reading a book, he thumped on the surface. The wizard looked at him sternly, but swung open, revealing a whole new corridor.
My eyes widened in amazement. I never knew that such a passageway existed! I supposed that since the Marauder’s Map was made by Gryffindors and this was a Slytherin section of the school, they never found it out.
“Neat, isn’t it?” Draco asked, still holding onto my hand. Before long we got to a door, which Draco slowly opened. On the other side of the door was the restricted section. Draco
I could feel Hermione’s wonderment at this convenient passageway. “Let’s find some books,” I whispered in her ear.
We hurried around the Restricted Section, peering at certain books. Finally, Hermione found the section we were wanting. She instructed me to hold the book for her while she copied down notes onto some parchment she’d brought so that we didn’t need to sign the book out. Once she’d finished taking down information from all the books, we snuck back to the door disguised as a bookshelf. I thumped on a specific book with my hand to make it open.
Suddenly, Madam Pince’s voice came from the real door of the Restricted Section. Hermione tensed up, squeezing my hand. “I heard something over there, Filch,” Madam Pince was saying. No doubt it was caused by my thumping.
“Quick!” I whispered, tugging Hermione through the door. I closed the ‘door’ quickly and quietly, then we sped down the narrow passage. We heard voices on the other side, too. We stopped dead in our tracks. Hermione
I clung to Draco’s muscular arm, breathing heavily. Sweat was beading on my forehead. I could feel him trembling. “What’s happening?” I whispered into his shoulder, my lips barely moving. Everything was pitch black.
“I…I don’t know,” Draco admitted. “But the voices should go away soon. Probably just some stupid professors. But while we’re waiting…” he turned around and massaged my shoulders gently, then the next thing I knew, his lips were on mine. They were cold during the first kiss, and he apologized. He tried again, and this time, his lips were warmer against mine.

I just don't see Ron and Hermione together for some reason! They don't have a whole lot in common at all, besides they're in Gryffindor and both friends with Harry! Draco is much better suited for her (as long as he's not evil!). | |
