Benny wrote yesterday. Him and Dusty are crazy, I swear. They are probably going to bug Savannah and Curt all summer. They are so bad! Reading how Dusty wasn’t going to Drumstrang next year reminded me that Valencia is graduating. I’m going to miss her as much as Benny is gonna miss Dusty. She is one of my best friends. I only met her like, what? Two years? Three years ago? But I feel like I have known her and her family forever. Sucks that she is leaving. Oh guess what?! So the animals running all over the place turned out to be the missing students after all. Alexis, Ariana, Vincent, they were all alright. A little weak but will survive. I’m glad to see them ok again. I never realized how much I missed Lexi’s pranks until she is gone for a while. Well I’m to go eat breakfast and probably write a letter to Benny.

Can you believe I fell asleep during the whole train ride? I’m so mad! I just remember getting on the train and I was out. I kinda did last minute packing and I didn’t go to sleep until midnight. Whoops! Anyways I got off the train and my dad and Benny picked me up. My mom took Danny to the pet store to get food for his new iguana. Oh yeah, I forgot! Danny found an iguana outside our house. And the crazy thing is, my mom is actually going to let him keep it! I was surprised. My mom isn’t so thrilled about us having pets in the house. She thinks they are going to destroy the house or something. Benny told me it took almost a week to convince mom to buy Jersey for my birthday. I think my dad helped Danny in convincing my mom to keep the iguana. It is a really pretty lizard, with turquoise stripes on a lime green body. She is so tiny though. The guy at the pet store said she will get bigger. Probably as long as my trunk. I asked him what he was going to name her and he said Lizzie. I thought it was a funny name, but don’t tell him. Yeah so I’m home now. Going to sleep…now.

Today I’m going to Italy! Well technically I’m already here. I’m at my uncle’s house with like a million cousins, and Ve and Dust. But today we are going to Alexis’ house. We are going to be spending the summer there. It’s weird. It’s seven in the morning and the house is wide-awake right now. I hear people packing, little kids giggling, and my uncles calling for us to hurry up. Vannah is sitting on the bed next to me. She is helping her niece and nephew get ready for the trip there. Her niece and nephew are the cutest little kids ever! Lainie is two (I think) and just the sight of her makes you want to squeeze her cheeks. She swears she is like 15 though. It’s so cute. Obie technically isn’t really her nephew ( I think). Something about he is Benjamin Lawley’s, sister’s son, or something like that. I’m not really sure, but I want to say that Emmylyne was with Benjamin at one point, but don’t take my word for granitite. I don’t really know that story. I should ask Vannah about that sometime. All I know is that he is coming with us to Lexi’s. He is the most hyper boy ever! And he has a weird obsession with tomatoes…The first day he arrived he began running up and down the hall yelling he wanted a tomatoe. That was weird. Well since I waited until the last minute to pack (again), I’m running late. Ill write later!

Lexi’s house is crazy! The second day we were here her brother Tyson, yes I said brother Tyson! (I’ll get to later) said we were going to have a water balloon fight. Sounds innocent right? Well some of them had green slime in them! Now I know Alexis and Tyson are for sure related. I never knew Lex had an older brother. I guess he ran away when Lexi was little. It doesn’t look like Legend likes him very much though. Well I’m having a lot of fun here, so I might not write again until I get back home. Now I’m going to go before somebody wakes up. Especially one of the boys. Man I would get made fun of so badly if they found I had a diary journal.

Ok so I know I haven’t written in like a month. I’m so bad at keeping things going. Oh well. So I’m home now, obviously. Back to hiding in my room. Danny was so excited to come home. Not that he wanted to leave Lex’s house, he just wanted to see Lizzie. She has gotten big since we left. She is almost as big as her cage! So we spent the whole day switching her to a bigger one. She is a really good iguana. She let Danny hold her and later she fell asleep on his shoulder. They connect really well. Not like me and Jersey. Have I told you about Jersey? She is my calico cat. You know how cats like to cuddle or be held? Yeah, well that’s not my cat. Only person she’ll let hold her without spazzing out is Danny. I swear. That boy is just like Vannah! They are like animal whispers or something. A lion would walk into the house and both of them would probably jump for joy asking to keep it! My family is so weird. Well I think I’m gonna go outside and hide from my mom. Man she is beginning to bug.

Urg! I can’t even eat a meal in peace anymore! My mom really needs to have those twins already! She is all hormonally and yes, that is probably not a word, but don’t correct me! What am I saying? You’re a flipping book! I love my mom to death but she can annoy me to a pulp. She is in cleaning mode, where she cleans the whole house spotless. Us kids are suppose to help clean. I’m the duster and mop person. I wasn’t even done eating before my mom was saying how I need to dust and how I haven’t been doing it right. Then I got a lecture on how it is important how to clean a house right because I will need to know how when I get older and have a place of my own. I’m only thirteen! I haven’t even turned fourteen yet and she is kicking me out of the house! Not literally but you know what I mean. I got mad and left the table. I didn’t even finish my breakfast! Urg! Hold on, Benny is at my door…Man Benny always knows how to make me feel better. We are going to go mountain bike riding on Pan Mountain. Write later!

Man. I can’t sleep. I had another dream about that day. The day…the day Benny went into his coma. We didn’t think much about Benny not wearing a helmet. Most older kids don’t. I mean my dad doesn’t even when he goes out for a ride. It all happened so quickly. Next thing I remember we were coming home from St. Mungos. The house has been so quiet. I think a loud noise would make the house fall down. I really hope my mom stops stressing. That can’t be good for the babies. She is worried about Benny of course, but also Danny. I think everybody is worried about Danny. He doesn’t talk anymore. I mean, he was shy before, but now he won’t respond to anybody. He talked to me once, and only once since that day. It was a few days after the accident. He said it was his fault Benny was in his coma. It’s awful to see him like this. I told him over and over that it wasn’t his fault. I know he still feels responsible. Another thing, he hasn’t gotten so much more jumpy than before. My uncle Theo, grandma and grandpa (from my dad’s side) came the other day. They brought two of our cousins. So the whole house was a little loud. They were here to see how we were doing. But I think they were just making it worse. I mean don’t get me wrong I love my Uncle Theo. He can be a riot when he wants to be. But the whole house was so loud and so much was going on. I could tell Danny was beginning to panic. So I took him outside. But yeah, Danny is taking this so hard. I wish there was something I could do. But I’m going back to Hogwarts tomorrow. I don’t want to leave him and make him all alone, but I know my mom would never let me stay home from school. I remember my first year, I got really sick with the flu, but she made me stay at school. I know she means well. She is only thinking about my education, but still. I think I’m going to take Danny into the forest today. We always see some kind of animal there. I miss Benny so much. I know you’re only a book with blank pages, but pray for Benny to come out of his coma soon.

P.S. Oh I’ve just remembered. Today is my birthday.

Yeah so I’m on the train. It was so tough to leave this morning. Danny wouldn’t even come out of his room until I knocked on his door saying I was leaving. His little face…it always makes me want to cry. I visited Benny last night. I wanted to see him one last time before I left for school. His head is still bandaged up, but at least his bruises were beginning to fade away. The doctors said he was doing great. I mean besides the fact that he is still in a flipping coma! But they said his arm was healing just how they want it to. Whatever the heck that means. When we got home Dad and Danny were sitting in the kitchen with a cupcakes. My mom took me to the side later and she said she was sorry that she couldn’t do anything more. I told her I loved cupcakes. Then she began to cry. She feels bad that she couldn’t even make her own daughter a birthday cake. My mom is not a crier. So to see her break down is a big deal to me. I didn’t know what else to say but say that the cupcakes were awesome and I know she is under a lot of stress right now. Dad took her to her room to calm down. I’m glad she took me aside. I don’t want Danny to see any of that. Some birthday huh? Yeah well I think I’m going to go try and socialize. I know I’ll find somebody I know on this train.

So I’m back home. Yeah I know what your saying. Why in the world are you back home? Well you would be saying if you weren’t a book. I’m home again because right before the train left, I saw Danny in the crowed. He was crying and shaking. I got off as soon as I saw that. My mom didn’t complain. I took Danny into my arms and we all went home. I think my dad got Jersey. I hope he got her. My mom told me I could stay until Danny goes back to school, which is next Monday. I’m going to be missing a week of school, but I don’t care. I mean I do, but I don’t. I make no sense. Danny fell asleep on my bed when we got home. He is still sleeping, so I’m trying to be quiet. He looks so peaceful when he is sleeping. I think that is the only time his little mind rests. Except every once in awhile I guess a dream pains him, because he will crawl into my bed. That is the only logically guess I have for him coming into my bed. He won’t tell me, so yeah. Well I’m going to go find something to eat. Write later.

I don’t really mind Danny sleeping with me. He is my little brother after all. But I think my mom cares. Like a lot. Lately I have been having this need to protect him. So me and my mom are fighting like crazy again. She doesn’t understand why he won’t talk. She wants him to speak to her, but he won’t. I keep telling her to leave him alone, but then she gets mad and says he is her son. Well I usually always get mad back and tell her he has been through a lot. Then she retorts that I have been through a lot but I’m still talking. Does she not get that he is only seven! URG! I don’t know what has gotten into her. But she seriously needs to cool it. I hate fighting with her. Especially if I know Danny is listening somewhere. He can be in the other room with the door shut, but I know he still hears us. But I really don’t know how to stop arguing with her. She just…irritates me! Sigh...But then again, I know what she is feeling. She just wants her son to talk to her. Man…I’m too young to be dealing with this crap…

So I’m going back to Hogwarts today. Danny is going back to school too. I think he is dreading it. I can see it on his face. Lately I have been able to see how Danny is feeling by just reading his face. His eyes go wide when he is scared or nervous. He scratches behind his ear when he is thinking. He plays with the hem of his shirt when he is sad. But the one I love most is when his eyes twinkle. That means he is happy. I’m going with my dad to take him back. I don’t know how I did it, but I got my mom to agree to let me go back to Hogwarts after dinner. She didn’t even argue much about it. I think she knows that Danny wants to see me before I leave. And if I left while he was at school it would crush him. All my things are packed and Jersey is crawling around here somewhere. She is going to hate being put in her cage when we go back. I already know it. Something is weird though that I just have to write. Nobody from school has written me. I know I probably just sound paranoid, but has nobody noticed I haven’t been there? I don’t know. Maybe the professors are just riding them hard with homework or something. Eh oh well. Ill see what’s up when I get there.

So I found out why nobody has written. This damn place wont let them! I’m not even at Hogwarts anymore! I came by floo powder and for a second I didn’t move in the fireplace. Then I began to spin. I don’t know if it was just me, but I felt like I was spinning slower than usual. Like it wasn’t entirely sure where it was taking me. Finally it spit me out. It looked like I was in a bloody museum! Where I really was, was in the Hufflepuff common room. I’ve never been in there before. I didn’t even really know it exist because I’ve never seen it. Well I knew it was there, but you know what I mean. Luckily Vannah found me right away. I didn’t even know where I was. She told me that we weren’t at Hogwarts but at Belle's School of Magic for Young Witches. They separated the boys and the girls. They are also playing favorites apparently. The ministry has taken over! I dislike the ministry so much! And this is the reason for it. It is corrupt and all the care about is power over the well being of others. I was mad when I found all this out. I wanted to write a letter to Valencia. She hates the ministry as much as I do, but she has a whole other reason to hate them. She would be the first one to rebel in a place like this. But Vannah talked me out of it. I then promised her I wouldn’t do anything to tick the staff off, but if they step on my toes, all bets are off. She didn’t say much. I sort of feel bad for her. She was made prefect this term and she has to follow the rules. Heck, she has to enforce the rules. That must suck. That was the only reason why I agreed to not mess with the ministry. I know she has it worse off than me. URG! The rules are so stupid! I can’t write to anybody but my parents. And you know how anxious I am to write my mom. Plus they said we aren’t allowed to have any fun! That is bull! Anyways…I better get to bed before somebody comes to give me detention for being awake this late. URG!

Yes I know. I’m terrible at keeping you updated. Oh well. Deal. Dude this place has gone crazy! We are literally being buried under tons of homework. It sucks! I even caught Lexi doing homework doing some the other day. I didn’t think that girl could sit down long enough to do homework! But then again she is in OWLS year. Man am I glad I’m still a fourth year. I don’t think I can handle being fifth year right now. Today was weird. I went to Defense Against the Dark Arts class and Professor Rae was teaching us how to be ladies. I don’t want to be a lady! But I like Professor Rae, so I stayed and participated. The only thing that is worth mentioning about that lesson was the dress Ariana chose to wear. It made her look like Big Bird. It was really funny. I miss the guys. Dusty just transferred this year from Drumstrang and I haven’t seen him once. I wish I could at least write him a blimey letter. I hate this separation crap.

Eeeek!!! Oh man! Eeeeeeeeeek! I need a paper bag. I can’t believe I let Lex talk me into this. I can’t do it. I think I’m just going to feint ill that day and just not show up. No, Lexi would so know I’m lying. I need a plan. And I need it quick! I let Alexis talk me into signing up for the quidditch team! EEEEEEEK! I need to get out of it! I can’t do it. Nobody really understands that I have a fear for trying out for the team. I mean any other day I’m out flying like nothing. Heck all during summer that was all we did as kids. But the quidditch team, its different. There is so much more pressure. I’m scared I wont do good. I’ve avoided having to join until this year. Lex was made the Gryffindor quidditch captain. I mean I should of seen this coming after Agie left last year, but still! Ok I just need to chill. Maybe I won’t make the team. But then I would of let Lex down…Ok new plan. I will make the team! But then I will have to play every game…Forget both those plans. I’m going to go hide for the rest of the school year. Write when I come out!

Ok so Alexis found me, obviously. And I went to tryouts. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. But man! Anna is like a flipping mad woman when it comes to flying! Her and Cale! They are always fighting for the quaffle. It was actually funny to watch. Gwen kept on playing with the butterflies, but when she wasn’t she was really good too. They are going to make the team for sure. I mean how could they not? We find out who made the team in a couple of days. I’m nervous but then I’m not. Does that make sense? I’ve decided I don’t care if I make the team or not. Ok that was a lie, but I’m in a win/win situation. If I make the team awesome! If I don’t, no stress! Man I’m tired. I think I’m gonna head to bed now. I’ll write when I find out if I made the team or not!

Yes it is 4:21 in the morning. 4:21 in the flipping morning! I can’t fall back asleep. I had the dream again. Crap loads of homework has been keeping my mind busy, so I’ve been able sleep restlessly for awhile, but not last night. I saw Benny’s accident again. It seems to get worse every time I see it. I can’t stop thinking about Danny. His face haunts my dreams too. His little face gets more scared and vulnerable every times I see it. Man I’m homesick. I use to get homesick all the time when I was a first year, and I haven’t felt like this in a long time. I want to go home and see my dad, and my brothers. Heck I even want to see my mom. I miss them a lot. If only I could write a letter home…

Dude! I got a letter from home today! I didn’t think it would come through, what with the post being down. I don’t know if I will be able to write back, but I’m still happy that I got a letter. It made my day. Even if the letter wasn’t as cheery as some other people’s letters from home. But I enjoyed just the same. I want to write back and tell my mom to let Danny go. I’m so with my dad on this. It would help him a lot if he went over there. Katie, Legend and Jae will bring him out of his muteness. If not at least he would be able to laugh at how Katie and Legend fight all the time. They fight like an old married couple. Its pretty cute actually. I’m glad to hear that my mom had the twins. Ethan and Breanna. I wonder what they will be like. Oh! Important news! I can’t believe I forgot to mention in my last entry. I made it on the reserve team! That means I don’t play unless somebody else on the team is ill or injured. I think I like this position very much. I “technically” made the list. So “technically" made the team. So I’m on the team and don’t have to play at the games. How cool did that work out?! Anyways, I should be doing homework, which is beginning to stack up again. See ya.

So the first game was today. I played as a reserve. I can’t even begin to write how nervous I was. I mean I knew I was on the reserve and that changes of me playing were a little high, with Cale being seriously sick and Shel has been missing, but I didn’t think I would be playing the first game! When Lexi came up to me and asked if I would be there, I of course said yeah, but inside I was screaming! Man was I freaked out. In the locker room Anna was all pumping people and giving mini speeches. I would of laughed at how serious her face looked if I wasn’t about to throw up. All in all it was a really good experience for me. Even though we lost to the Huffies. It was really fun to be out there. The whole school was practically there! Man it was nerve racking. I felt bad though, because I kind of felt like I let Alexis down. I know it was entirely me, but I was super slow as a chaser. If I had been just a tad faster, then I really think we could of won. But then again we were playing against Mia! Man she has gotten way scarier this term. Plus Curt was their seeker. He’s been playing for how many years now. I think this was Anna’s first year as a seeker. She did brilliant though. I only wished we had one, I think that would of pumped Lex up. She has seemed a little down lately. I don’t know if it was just anticipation for the upcoming game or what. I really need to talk to her…

Wow! Today was an eventful day! So I finally met with Alexis and Savannah today. It is so weird. I haven’t been with the two of them together like this since…summer I think! I guess Vannah had Dragon Pox and that’s why she has been missing. Dang, I didn’t even know she was gone. I’m terrible. Homework and classes have been killing me. Anyways, me and Lex had great fun making fun of Vannah’s clumsiness. Is that a word? Well it is now. Then snow was thrown. We all know what happens when snow is thrown. Heehee…I had so much fun with the two of them. It felt like old times. The only people missing were Valencia and Dusty. I really miss Val. I wish I knew what she was up to now-a-days. Last thing I remember she was doing was Latin Ballroom Dancing. I wonder how that is going. Stupid Ministry. Not even letting us write letters. This is crazy! I despise them all. Yeah well. So after our little snowball fight, we agreed to meet up in Hogsmeade. I went back up to my dorm to change, and the dunce that I am let Jersey out. It took me forever to get her back into the dorm. That cat I swear. Its like she likes me to chase after her. Brat. Ok, so back to my original story. So after Jersey was back in the dorm and I was changed into warm clothes, I totally forgot what I was going to do. Somehow I found myself in Hogsmeade and bumped into a grizzly bear Dusty. I was so ecstatic to see a boy. All I have been seeing for the past months are girls. I have nothing against girls, I mean half my cousins are girls (probably more than half). But its nice to be able to talk to boy after awhile. He quickly pulled me away from the crowed and laid a bomb on me. I guess Savannah Nicole Mae, my fifteen year old cousin, the Hufflepuff Prefect, the animal loving weirdo, ocean eyed quidditch player is in love. I couldn’t believe it! I mean I should’ve seen this coming. I mean her and Curt are so cute together, but dude! I was tripping! Then Dusty told me he started yelling in Spanish at her. Typical Dusty. Then it began to hit me. Dusty knew everything and he didn’t have the chance to see Savannah everyday. Then again I do, and I rarely see her. I’m so bad. I’m glad Dust told me, but I kind of wish it was Vannah who told me. But then again who knows if she would of told me…I did talk to her earlier that day and she didn’t even mention Curt…Gwah! I’m so flipping confused.

I really need to stop going to Hogsmeade. Every time I walk into The Three Broomsticks I seem to argue with somebody. This time was with somebody I’ve never seen before in my life. He was sitting with Lima Bean, so naturally I walked over to say hi. But something about the troubled look on her face put me on the defense. Then the guy had the nerve to tell me I was interrupting them and to go away. Of course I got mad and told him he was rude and asked Lima Bean who the heck this guy was. She then told me it was her boyfriend Maddox. I don’t even think I knew she had a boyfriend. I really need to stop isolating myself. I don’t mean to, but I guess that it what I’m doing. So yeah, me and Maddox did not start off on the best impression. He just seems too much of a bad boy for Lima Bean. But then again I barely know the guy, so I really shouldn’t judge. Oh well. Maybe he will get better, I don’t know. I think I’m going to get some dinner. That is if the flipping Ministry will allow it.

Oh no! I’m a terrible sister! I so forgot Danny’s birthday! It was on the 3rd. First I didn’t know that Vannah was sick, then Lima Bean has a boyfriend, and now I forgot my own brother’s birthday. I am a horrible person to have as a family member. Urg! I don’t even think I can send him anything. But don’t think I’m not going to try. I wonder how he is doing. I think my dad might of won the battle over whether he could go to Grandma Angelina’s house. He just seems like a reasonable thing to do. I mean, my mom had the twins about two months ago, its probably hard to take care of them and then try and help Danny cope over Benny. Man. Things would be so different if Benny wasn’t in his coma right now. I probably wouldn’t be so irritable for one thing. I think everybody would like that. Plus he would be able to calm me down about his how ministry thing. He always knew how to keep me calm, even if he wasn’t close by. Just something about his letters happy. No I cant keep my mouth shut sometimes. Urg! I knew it was going to be hard without my big brother, but I never imagined it would be this bad.

So it’s Christmas Eve. I wonder if I should say Happy Christmas Eve or something…I think I’m going to do that. Dang I have to wait until next year to try it out though. Ok it’s been forever since I last wrote. I’ve been busy. Yeah it is holiday, but I still have been busy. I went to the library the other day. I met like so many people! It was all an accident too! I was so not paying attention and I ran straight into the couch and almost hit Jupiter Juniper with my book. Juniper is a cute little Ravenclaw. She reminds me so much of Danny. She likes animals too. When she saw I was reading a book on iguanas she got all excited and started talking all about them. I don’t need the book, I can just go to her if I have a question. Anyways, while we were sitting there another girl came up and asked to join. Evangeline. She is cool. She seemed a little shy though. Just as she was going to sit next to us on the couch, another girl sat down in her spot. I recognized this girl as the Ravenclaw prefect. I was surrounded by Ravvies that day. Turns out Rhiannon was as distracted as the rest of us. Then another girl joined us. Yes, the library was full that day. Anyways, this girl was calling Evangeline, Apple. I thought that was funny. This girl I think was a Slytherin to. Her name reminds me of that muggle song. Its Eleanor, but she likes to be called Ellie, I think. So yeah it was all really an accidental meeting, but it was pretty fun. Hey look! Its twelve now, so Happy Christmas!

Yeah I wrote in you like nine hours ago. Aren’t you glad I didn’t forget about you? I got a small pile of presents on the foot of my bed when I woke up this morning. I got a new cloak from my mom and dad. It is so beautiful. It’s a midnight blue and it’s very silky. I can’t stop touching it. It’s so soft. I got a package full of cookies from Grandma Angelina, which I’m hiding in my trunk so I don’t get it confiscated. Then I got a burgundy scarf from Emmy and Axel. It’s nice. I lost my other one, so I’m glad I got it. Then my Aunt Grace sent me a broomstick repair kit! I so needed one. Those are all the major things, oh and a got Bertie Botts Beans from Lex, which are with my cookies. Not a bad load this year. I sent out my birthday/Christmas package for Danny and the twins yesterday, but I don’t know when they will get it. Yeah I’m sending Danny’s birthday present really late, but he’s getting it. I wonder how the twins are. I want to see them so bad! I put in the letter for somebody to send me a picture of them. I’m excited to see them. Since I wasn’t there when they were born. Stupid school. Hmmm what else? I’m at a blank, so I’m going to go get some food down in the Great Hall. I wonder if they will have actual food for us to eat today…
