He was running, running down an endless hallway. Behind him, she was there. Draco, Draco! She called to him. He gasped for air. He had to escape. Had to escape. Draco Draco!....
Draco....Draco....
"Draco!" Malfoy jerked out of sleep. His vision blurred. He tried to focus. "Oh good, you're awake. Sleep is so boring, don't you think?"
His vision cleared. Sitting on his bed...next to him...was Hermione! He yelped and scrambled away. He fell, hitting the floor with a thud. Hermione laughed.
"Finally! Let's go!" She tried to pull him up.
"Gowhere?" Malfoy mumbled, trying to wake up.
"To breakfast!" Hermione crowed, and started to drag him across the floor. Malfoy pulled himself out of her grasp, trying to stand on his own.
"What time is it?"
"4:30!" Hermione said. "You slept in!"
"Four-thirty? Hermione, I still have three hours of sleep left!" He tried to go back to bed, but Hermione pouted and got in his way.
"But...I want to be with you!"
"So sleep on the floor!" Malfoy was fed up. This was definitely not what he called a good time.
"But it's hard on the floor." Hermione whined. "Can I sleep with you?"
"If it will shut you up, FINE!" Malfoy growled, and climbed back into bed. Hermione slid in next to him, and was asleep in minutes.
***** Harry woke up early. He looked at the clock. 4:15. He still had about three hours left before he had to wake up. He rolled over and tried to go back to sleep, but just couldn't. The thought of Hermione with Malfoy kept him awake.
He got up and put on some clothes. He'd see if she would like to sleep with him for the rest of the morning. Maybe hang out later. But it was early. She'd understand.
Harry walked down to the Head Boy and Girl's room. On the way, he bumped into Peeves.
"Ooooo ickle Harry out of bed! What's he up too, Peeves wonders?" Peeves crooned. Harry rolled his eyes.
"Go away please Peeves? I'm going to see someone important."
Peeves, for once, left, obviously with more important things on his mind. Harry sighed with relief. Finally, something was going right. He stopped outside the door. He didn't know the password.
"Hey, you wanna go in?" The opposite painting asked him.
"Yea I do. I need to talk to Hermione." Harry responded.
"Well, the password's Dracikins." The painting chuckled.
"Dracikins?" Harry laughed. "Who thought up that one?"
"Hermione." The paining said promptly. "I've been wanting to say that all day! Well, g'night!"
"Right." Harry spoke the password, and the door opened. He looked around. Where was her bedroom?
He opened one door. It looked like a room Hermione might sleep in, but: No Hermione. So he opened up the next door.
Hermione was there....in Malfoy's BED! Harry seethed with anger. What was he thinking? What was SHE thinking? He had temperarily forgotten about Hermione's amneisa. He slammed the door shut and left the room.

Malfoy jerked up at the sound of a door slamming. Hermione rolled over, still asleep. Malfoy jumped out of bed and looked down the hallway. Potter was running! Had he seen him and Hermione?
"Oh geez...." Malfoy groaned. He probably thought he liked the mudblood! "Now what?"
"Draco? Is everything ok?" Hermione crept out of the room and stood next to Malfoy. "Is it time to get up now?"
"Yea, it is." Malfoy sighed. "Let's get dressed and head down to the Great Hall."

Hermione followed Malfoy down to the Great Hall. On the way, they ran into someone who was most unwelcome in Malfoy's eyes.
"Draco! I haven't seen you ALL DAY!" Pansy Parkinson practically leapt into his arms, and covered his face with kisses. "Why haven't you talked to me? I MISSED you! And....what's the mudblood doing with you?" Pansy looked at Hermione in disgust.
"I'm his girlfriend!" Hermione informed Pansy proudly. Malfoy's mouth hung open. Pansy laughed.
"Oh Granger, what a sense of humor! I never noticed. Now, go away." Pansy went to kissMalfoy some more, but then Hermione shouted.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!"
Oh good grief... Malfoy thought.
Hermione jumped on Pansy, knocking her to the floor. Shrieking, the two girls rolled around on the floor, biting and kicking at each other. Soon, a crowd gathered.
"Fight fight fight fight!" They shouted, and Malfoy tried to get away before-
"What's going on?" Harry stormed in. "Hermione, what are you doing?"
"POTTER!" Pansy gasped. "Get...your...stupid...girlfriend...off....of....m e!"
"Hermione! Get off her!" Harry tried to pull Hermione off, but she fought hard.
"Gerroff me!" She yelled, and hit Harry. "Let me beat her up!"
"No! Hermione, get off Pansy!" Malfoy jumped in the fray, and pulled Hermione away by the waist. She settled down.
"But...Dracikins-"
"Dracikins??" Harry exclaimed. "Where did you dredge that one up, Malfoy?"
"Don't ask. Just get her out of here." Malfoy shoved Hermione towards Harry. Harry caught her, much to Hermione's displeasure. Malfoy ignored her grunt of suprise and helped up Pansy. "Are you ok?"
"FINE! But not with you! Go away! I don't want to see you ever again!"
Pansy flounced away, occasionally limping. Malfoy sighed.
At least I don't have to worry about her anymore....
***** Harry dragged Hermione to her classes the rest of the day. She wasnted to be with Malfoy. Harry wouldn't permit it.
"Hermione, what's gotten into you?Where did the girl I love go?" Harry asked, exasperated. She pouted.
"I was to be with Draco!"
Coming down the hallway was Hagrid, carrying a bunch of ladders. "Comin' thru, comin' thru!" Harry looked at him, then Hermione.
"Hermione, I'm your-"
"Watch out!" Hagrid tripped, spilling ladders all over the place. One hit Hermione square in the head, knocking her unconscience.
"HERMIONE! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Harry yelled, and kneeled over her. Hermione didn't move an inch.

This time Hermione didn't wake up right away. Harry rushed her to the Hospital Wing, Draco followed.
"Oh Mister Potter! What's wrong with her this time?" Madam Pompfrey asked.
"She hit her head - er - again." he replied looking at Hermione with concern, she was breathing, but that was all.
"Oh dear, hitting her head twice in the same week! This isn't good at all." she said with a look of deep concern.
Draco suddenly felt awkward. Scared. He couldn't believe it, he was actually concerned about a mudblood! Draco tried to ignore the feelings with no avail.
Hermione was moved to a bed. Madam Pomfrey tilted her head up and poured some liquids down, nothing happened.
"Mr. Potter, Mr. Malfoy you may both go now. I need some time with Ms. Granger."
"Oh," Harry was about to protest but he decided against it, he wanted Hermione to recover, "Alright, when can I come see her?"
"I call you in as soon as she is ready for visitors."
Draco smirked, "Good. Then I don't have to bother with her." he said leaving the room , the odd emotion getting worse with each step. Again, he pushed them away. Again, his attempt failed.

That night Draco couldn't sleep. That emotion - he was still denying it was fear - he had felt earlier hadn't left throughout that entire day.
"I DO NOT care about the mudblood." he said aloud to him self with mock confidence.
But the feeling got worse. Draco started wondering if she was ok. Is she badly hurt? Is she even awake? Is her memory back?
That last question got to him. What if she had remembered everything? Would she go back to hating him? He had to know, he didn't know why it bothered him so much but he just had to know.
Draco got dressed and looked at the clock, 11:30. He left the room and headed for the Hospital Wing.

Harry couldn't get Hermione out of his head. He knew he couldn't go visit her. He didn't want to disturb her while she was getting better.
He held on to the hope that she would get better and have her memory back. Then everything would go back to normal.
But that night he couldn't take it anymore. He had to see Hermione. Harry grabbed his invisibility cloak and went for the door but not before checking the time. 11:36.
