Alrighty, here's the post I promised :) Emily looked up at George again. He was staring at her, a deep intensity in his eyes. He was about to say something when— “Hey! Your Mum told me you came out here. Can I join you?” Emily watched in horror as Angelina Johnson walked toward them. Angelina plopped down beside George, grabbing his hand in the process. “What are you doing here?” he asked with a forced smile. “I came to surprise you, sweetie,” she purred. Ginny just about gagged. Angelina looked over at her and then glanced at Emily. “And what is she doing here?” Angelina asked with disgust. “She was invited, unlike you. She’s wanted here, unlike you,” Ginny spat. Ginny’s cheeks flushed in anger, her hands balled up. “Ginny!” Emily said. “What?” Ginny yelled. “She’s being completely rude to you! You’re just going to sit there and say nothing?” Ginny asked in disbelief. Everyone was quiet as they waited for Emily’s response. The music continued, unperturbed by the situation at hand. And girl you're my one love, my one heart My one life for sure Let me tell you one time (Girl, I love, girl I love you) I'ma tell you one time (Girl, I love, girl I love you) And I'ma be your one guy You'll be my #1 girl Always making time for you I'ma tell you one time (Girl, I love, girl I love you) I'ma tell you one time (Girl, I love, girl I love you) Emily looked at George, who gave her an apologetic smile. He glanced down at his intertwined hand with Angelina’s. You look so deep, you know that it humbles me You're by my side, them troubles them not trouble me Many have called but the chosen is you Whatever you want shawty I'll give it to you Your world is my world And my fight is your fight My breath is your breath And your heart... Emily started to stand. She grabbed the radio and turned it off. “Come on, Ginny. I think your brother would like some alone time with his girlfriend.” “That’s it? We’re just going to go? You’re not going to say anything after she basically insulted you?” Ginny asked unhappily. “Just drop it, Gin. Grab your stuff, let’s go,” Emily started back toward the Burrow. “But, Emily,” Ginny started. “Emily nothing, let’s go.” Emily kept walking and Ginny reluctantly followed. Fred waved half-heartedly at his brother and then followed the girls back to the house. George frowned as he watched them all go, but when he saw Angelina watching, he smiled. She looked as if she had just won a Quidditch match or a wizarding duel. She was ecstatic, but everyone else was extremely unhappy. “I can’t believe you! You’re just going to let him be with her after everything she said to—” Ginny started yelling. “Ginny! You promised!” Emily interrupted. “Wait. What were you saying, Ginny? Did she say something to you, Emily?” asked Fred. Ginny smiled like she had just won. “It’s nothing. Let’s just drop it,” said Emily with a sigh. “Why won’t you say anything?” asked Ginny. “I’m not going to say anything because I’m done lying to myself, Gin. I’m done believing that George and I might actually get back together. I’m done interfering. George and I told each other we’d move on. He has and now it’s my turn. If he’s happy with her, then I’m not going to ruin that.” “Even if it might be built upon a lie? Even if it will hurt him in the end?” Fred asked quietly. “It’s his mistake to make, and I’m not going to look like some jealous ex. George is smart. If he likes her, there’s a reason for it. Don’t be so hard on her, Gin. Give her a chance.” “And if I don’t want to?” Ginny asked with a pout. “Then that’s your choice. Just like it’s my choice not to say anything to him. Don’t forget your promise, Gin. You can’t say anything. And I’d appreciate it if you didn’t say anything either, Fred.” “I can’t believe you’re just going to let my brother, the one you claim you love, be with a person like her! You’re not the person I thought you were, Emily Black!” Ginny yelled. “Ginny, please. Look at it from my point of view,” Emily pleaded, but Ginny wasn’t listening. Ginny unfastened her new bracelet and threw it on the ground. Emily sighed. Ginny stormed off without looking back. “I’m sorry, Ems. I see your point, but I also see hers. I don’t know what to tell you,” Fred sighed. “Can you just do me a favor?” Fred nodded. Emily bent over and picked up the bracelet she had given Ginny. “Can you keep this safe for me? Just keep it until she wants it back or something, please.” Fred nodded. “And, also, one more thing. Watch after your brother for me. I wasn't kidding when I said I wouldn't interfere. I need space from him right now, because it hurts too much to be near him. That’s why I haven’t touched my guitar, Fred.” “What do you mean?” asked Fred, cocking his head to the side. “The guitar reminds me too much of him. Playing and singing, it reminds me of the times we’ve spent together. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I stopped.” “Emily, you can’t just stop everything because of what it might remind you of. Live your life, Ems. I’ll miss hanging out with you though,” Fred said. “I’ll miss you too, Freddie.” Emily hugged him closely and then let him go. “I’m not going to stay the night. I’ll call Remus and tell him I’ll take a muggle taxi home. Tell your Mum that Remus knows everything and that she doesn’t need to owl him. Can you go get my suitcase from Gin’s room? I don’t think she’ll want to see me.” “Yeah, I’ll go get it,” said Fred. By now, they had reached the house. Fred disappeared behind the door, but he appeared a few minutes later. “Here’s your suitcase and Bluejeans. You got your radio, right?” he asked. “Yeah, I’ve got it. Thanks for everything, Fred.” Emily grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder and took hold of her purse. Bluejeans fluttered from his cage. He had stayed after giving Ginny her reply and waited on her to come to the Burrow. She held onto her radio and the cage and started down the drive. Once she made it to the woods, she’d get out her broom and fly the rest of the way. Emily’s walk gave her time to think. Her thoughts made her sad, which in turn made her cry. She knew that from now on, she would be a loner. She couldn’t hang out with George, which meant she wouldn’t be seeing much of Fred and Lee either. Ginny was mad at her, so she wouldn’t be hanging out with her. Cody was probably going to be busy catching up with his friends to hang out with her, not to mention the fact that Draco said he was a player. He probably already had another girlfriend. Sigh. Emily finally reached the woods. She went a little ways until she was behind some shrubs, out of sight from the muggle eye. She fished in her purse until she found her broom. Before she mounted, she made a phone call on her cell phone. Ring, ring. Ring, ring. “Hello?” said Remus’ voice. “Hey, Rems!” Emily said with fake enthusiasm. “Emily? Is everything okay?” he asked. “Yeah! Everything’s great! I was wondering if I could stay over here until the day after tomorrow. Mr. Weasley said he’d bring me home.” Emily held her breath. “Er, yeah, that should be fine. Have fun sweetheart,” Remus said. Emily smiled faintly, though she felt bad for lying to him. “Thanks, Rems. See you in a couple of days, then,” Emily said. “Alright, honey. I’ll talk to you later.” “Bye,” Emily said. Remus hung up first, and Emily clicked the phone shut. She put her phone in her pocket and mounted her broom. She put the cage on the end of her broom and started to fly. Emily flew through the rest of the night. She made sure to stay high above, hidden behind the clouds. She was tired and hungry, but she didn’t take any pit stops. Around seven, she started making her decent. She could smell the salty water in the air. It always cleared her mind. She thudded to the ground on the sandy shore of La Push. It was cold, but that’s how she liked it. She loved cold weather. Emily sat underneath a tree and rummaged through her purse for some parchment and ink. She found some scrap paper that she had doodled on and started her note. DaMien, I’m here a night early if you can get away. And I’ll be here until the day after tomorrow. I guess I’ll see you when you come. I hope I don’t regret this. EBony Emily let Bluejeans out of his cage. She gave him an owl treat. “Can you please take this to Draco? But please make sure that you take it to his window and that you’re not seen by anybody or anything except Draco himself.” Bluejeans nibbled Emily’s finger. Emily tied the letter to his leg and Bluejeans took flight. Emily made herself comfortable as she watched her owl fade behind the clouds. Emily pulled a blanket out of her bag and snuggled up in it. About an hour later, she heard some footsteps. Thinking it was Draco, she didn’t move. “Hey, are you okay?” asked a voice. He walked in front of Emily. She saw his lanky, but buff build. It definitely wasn’t Draco. “Er, who are you?” Emily asked uncertainly. “I’m Seth, Seth Clearwater. You?” Seth Clearwater looked cheery and mysterious, like he had something to hide, but he didn’t seem dangerous. “I’m Emily, Emily Black,” Emily said. Since she was much too comfortable, she decided to not stand up. Instead, Seth sat down beside her. “How long have you been out here, Emily?” Seth asked. “An hour or so. Do you live here?” “Yeah, I live about ten minutes, maybe less, from here. Are you new around here?” He eyed her luggage, which made her feel self-conscious. “Not really. Just visiting, I’m waiting for a...friend actually,” Emily said, fidgeting under her blanket. “Oh, right. Well I wanted to tell you that it’s going to be cold tonight, and if you need a place to stay, then you’re more than welcome to stay at my house. We live along the road. You would just turn right; we’re number 47. I’ll let my mom know that it’s a possibility that you’ll stay.” Emily just stared at him. How could she trust him when she barely knew him? She nodded slightly and he smiled. “Right, well, I guess I’ll go. Have a good night, and maybe I’ll see you around.” Seth stood up, gave her one last wave, and walked off. “Well, that was strange,” Emily said out loud. She chuckled to herself, wondering if she should wait for Draco or take Seth up on his offer, when there was no more need to wonder. “Hey, I’m glad you came. I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner. My dad was getting suspicious, but he finally came ‘round.” Draco stood there in front of her, a smirk on his face, his hands buried in his pockets, shivering madly. *Okie dokie, So for now on any of the Twilight people belong to the amazing Stephanie Meyers :) Let me knoow watchya think :) |
errg! I can't believe it! I had this responce all done up and ready to post and found a mistake and hit the backspace key and it took me off of the page! And naturally, when I came back to the correct page my post was gone. I hope it's not floating around in cyber space and decide to post sometime else. Anyway, I don't have the time to go back and say everything I was going to say. But, I will say, Emily did right to walk away from George till he can man up to his feelings, and dump Angelina. She doesn't need him till he does this. I knew she would go to the beach and meet Draco, and see if when they hugged she felt the same as when her and George hugs. I wish she hadn't lied to Remus though. Quote:

Alrighty, so the whole voting thing I got everyone to do didn't work out so well. It ended in a tie, which is just my luck, but I've picked the way I'm going to go, so it's no biggie. :) More soon :) |
Alrighty, here's the new post :) “Hey, I’m glad you came. I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner. My dad was getting suspicious, but he finally came ‘round.” Draco stood there in front of her, a smirk on his face, his hands buried in his pockets, shivering madly. “Brings back memories, doesn’t it?” Emily asked with a grin. She held up the blanket for him to get under and he didn’t hesitate. He snuggled up under the blanket beside her. “What did you tell your dad?” “I told him that I was going out with Pansy and then staying the night at Zabini’s. He was pleased I was finally making an effort with Pansy’s and mine relationship,” he said disgustedly. Emily laughed at him and he looked at her crossly. “What’s so funny?” he asked. “I forgot how cute you looked when you were frustrated,” Emily responded with another laugh. Malfoy smiled at her. “I’m cute, huh?” he asked, while getting closer to her. “Sometimes,” she answered. “When am I not cute?” he asked. “When you’re being a complete jerk,” she said. He stopped moving closer to her and gave her an apologetic frown. “I’m sorry about everything that happened, Emily.” “Like?” “Like the fight we had. I shouldn’t have gotten—I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but—jealous of Weasley. I should have just enjoyed the time we had together. I’m sorry for cursing him and yelling at you. You have no idea how much I wish I could go back in time and change everything. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, Ems. I want that part of my life back. I want you back." “Draco,” Emily whispered. “Ems, just hear me out. I’ll change. I’ll be different. We can even go out in the open if you want. We don’t have to hide it. I’ll apologize to Weasley and your Godfather and anybody you want me to.” Draco looked at her pleadingly. “What about me?” she asked. “What...what do you mean?” he asked. “Don’t I get a say in this?” “Of course you get a say in this,” said Draco. He looked at her with a longing. “Draco, I want to believe you, but you told me you’d change once before and that didn’t turn out so great.” “But it will be different this time.” “How? How will it be different?” “Because I know what’s at stake and what I’m not willing to lose.” Emily stood up, throwing the blanket aside. She walked towards the shoreline. The waves crashed against her shoes, making them wet. Draco had followed her. Turning her around, he bent his head lower to look her straight in the eye. “Why are you so reluctant?” he whispered. “Because I’m afraid,” she whispered back. “Afraid of what?” “I’m afraid to fall for you again, Draco Malfoy.” She looked up at him, tears overlapping her lids. Her hair hung loosely behind her, flaying in the wind. He cupped one of his hands around her cheek, his other taking her hand. “Don’t worry, I have wings,” he whispered. He kissed her cheek and pulled her closer to him. He kissed her hair and held her as she cried silently into the crook of his neck. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me,” she whispered into his shoulder. “Please don’t hurt me, Dray.” “I wouldn’t dream of it,” he said quietly. Emily pulled back to look at him. He smiled sheepishly. Maybe he can change, she thought. He can change, can’t he? He reached down toward her. His eyes locked with hers and there was no looking away, no turning back. There was only the future left to unfold. The past didn’t matter. His lips brushed against hers and she got the usual sinking feeling she felt when he kissed her. Emily pulled her hands through his silky hair and knotted them there. His minty breath washed through her mouth as her lips parted. She felt happy for once in weeks. She felt really happy. She had this nagging feeling in the back of her head that she wasn’t completely, one hundred percent happy, but at least she felt happiness. And then there was the voice that kept telling her that she was betraying George. Draco had tried to curse him. And not with just any curse, but an unforgivable curse. So, how is it that when he used an unforgivable curse, she was able to forgive him? She didn’t have the answer, which did frighten her. But at this moment in time, when she was kissing Draco Malfoy passionately, she didn’t try to figure out the answer. She kissed him back without a care in the world. That was the thing about Draco. Nothing else in the world mattered when you kissed Draco Malfoy. When he takes your breath away, he takes everything with it. He takes the worry, the stress, the heartbreak, and the pain; everything. All you can feel is the knot in your stomach and his lips on yours. And that’s exactly what Emily felt. She was in an imaginary world where only he and she existed, and it was bliss. That night, Emily and Draco slept under the tree on the beach, under the blanket, in each other’s arms. Emily was snuggled up to Draco’s side, her head on his chest. Though it was freezing outside, she was comfortable and warm. She was dreaming of another tree in the moonlight with a certain boy. Emily awoke with a start when her and the boy kissed. She was breathing heavily and her heart was racing. Emily lifted her head off of Draco’s chest and glanced at him. He barely stirred. Emily wiggled out of the blanket, trying to be gentle enough not to wake Draco. Walking toward the shoreline, Emily hugged her shoulders. It was much colder without Draco’s arms around her. She plopped down on the sand, pulling her legs up to her chest, resting her chin on top. She glanced up at the stars and then stared off into the colliding waves. She thought about the dream, the boy, the tree, the kiss. She seemed to always be in the same situations. What was it with her and trees, exactly? Emily let a tear escape as she thought about the emotions she felt in her dream-kiss. It was one of the most perfect kisses. It was too perfect for words. But not perfect enough, because it was a dream-kiss. If only it could be true, Emily thought. She heard stirring behind her, but didn’t turn around. “Hi, sweetheart,” Draco said, placing his arm around her while sitting down. He put his head on top of hers, kissing her hair in the process. “Hey,” she whispered. She closed her eyes at the warm feeling his hand let off. Sighing, she opened her eyes again. “I need to talk to you, Draco,” she whispered. Draco was silent for a few moments. He denied what his gut was telling him. He looked off into the distance, his head still on top of hers. “It’s him, isn’t it?” Draco whispered. *Dun, dun, dun... :) Tell me watchya think :) |
Oooooohhhhhh!!!! Draco can always suck her back into his embrace, can't he? Ha ha! But at least he knows that George is still in the picture. I do like Emily and Draco together... but not as much as I love Emily and George together! Anyway, you need to PAMS! Because I don't want to wait to see what happens... I need to know! =] |

Oh Emily, Emily, Emily, what can I say? It was great? I could say that, cause let's face it, it was. However, It doesn't do it justice quite the way it should. Umm it was well, actually, I could come up with adjectives all night, but eventually, I think it would start counting as SPAM. And I don't want to get in trouble. I will say, it is a talent to be able to draw readers into a story, and make them feel like they're there with the characters, or even being one of the characters. This is what you do with each post. I do so much enjoy this FF. Quote:
