SPOILER!!: Katie's Comments Alright, my lovelies, it has come time for the very last post! And before you get to it, I'd like to thank all of you for making this story truly spectacular to me. You always brighten my day by your sweet comments and make me laugh at your insane (and most of the time, wrong) theories. I love you all for the morale boost and making me feel loved. You guys are amazing and I'm lucky to have such fantastic readers and friends. :loved: And I hope you enjoy this last post, because I surely enjoyed writing it :glomp: Banner by Me EPILOGUE: 19 YEARS LATER “Mummy, Mummy!” little Ruthie sang as she jumped on top of the bed. “Mmmm, what is it, Ruthie?” Emily groaned as she groggily woke up. “It’s September 1st, it’s September 1st,” she sang again. George chuckled silently beside Emily as he rubbed his eyes. “Is it really?” Emily asked with a chuckle. “Is something of importance happening today, Ruthie?” George laughed lightly as Emily rolled over into his side, her head propped back against his arm. “Mummy! How could you forget? Today I go to Hogwarts!” she screeched. Emily giggled at her daughter as she slowly sat up. “You’re going to Hogwarts?” Emily asked in fake confusion. “Georgie, did you know anything about this?” she asked as she turned to her husband. He shook his head, snickering silently. Emily’s hand went absent mindedly to her stomach, which was showing the first signs of her new pregnancy. “Mummy, did you really forget?” Ruthie asked as her eyes went round with worry. Emily chuckled lightly. “Of course I didn’t forget, silly sphinx. What would you like for breakfast?” she asked as Ruthie’s face softened into a grin of relief. “Waffles!” Ruthie shouted before running out the door toward the kitchen. Emily turned to look at George, who opened his arms wide for her to return to. “Tempting,” she giggled, “but I think I need to go make breakfast. Can you make sure the twins are up? They’ll have to come to the station too; they’re far too young to stay home alone, no matter what they tell you.” George nodded as he rolled out of bed. “Have you heard from Teddy, Amelia, or Sirius?” she asked him with a frown. “I know Ruthie wanted them there for her first day,” she said. “No, they never answered the phone,” he said as a frown appeared on his face too. “But I’m sure they’ll try to make it… You know them, they love surprising people,” he laughed. Emily chuckled as she ran a hand through her red curls. She made her way to the door but George caught her hand, pulling her back. He ran his hands through her hair as well as he kissed her soft lips. “You know what today is, right?” he asked quietly. “How could I forget? Today is the day that changed my life… Today marks the 26th Anniversary of the day we met,” she said with a smile before she kissed him again. “Happy Anniversary,” she whispered with a sigh as their lips parted. “Happy Anniversary, love,” he whispered. They heard a crash from the twins’ room and snapped their heads around. “Remus John Weasley! Fredrick Lee Weasley! If you broke something else, you are grounded for life!” Emily shouted. “I’ll take this one,” George chuckled as he headed for the two boys’ room. Emily made waffles, bacon, eggs, and toast for breakfast, piling up their plates with food as they sat down around the table. “Are Teddy, Millie, and Siry coming?” Ruthie asked as she stuffed a piece of bacon in her mouth. “Small bites, Ruthie,” Emily said before answering. “I don’t know, sweetie, I’m sure they’ll try to make it.” Ruthie nodded slowly, a small frown upon her face. She flicked her silky black hair behind her shoulder as she took a bite of her waffle. She looked exactly like Sirius Black, except that her hair was pin straight instead of wavy. “Remus, Fred, you two need to get dressed after breakfast,” Emily said as she looked back at them. Fred’s hair stood up at the back, and Emily suppressed a giggle. George reached over and ruffled his hair. “Dad! Cut it out!” he said as he squirmed in his chair. Emily and George laughed lightly as Fred tried to make his hair lay flatter. He and Remus are the spinning image of George, except that their eyes were the exact color of Emily’s. “Mummy, I don’t see them!” Ruthie huffed as she looked around the train station for her older siblings. George rolled Ruthie’s trolley one-handed while he held her hand with his other. Emily was holding both of the twins’ hands as she looked around the station. She spotted Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione near the last carriage of the train, Albus, Rose, Lily, and Hugo in their midst. Emily pointed her hand with Remus’ hand tightly held inside of it toward the small group. George followed her gaze and led their way over to them. “Mum, Dad!” they heard a familiar voice shout. George and Emily turned slightly to the right to see Amelia and Sirius stalking toward them, Allison Morgan and Kendall Shacklebolt behind them. They all smiled as they made their way over to them. “Amelia, Sirius! I’m glad you came,” Emily said as she hugged her eldest children. Sirius shook his dad’s hand after Amelia gave him a hug. “Millie! Siry!” Ruthie sang as she leapt at them. Sirius chuckled while Amelia giggled. “You came!” “You thought we’d miss our little sister’s first departure to Hogwarts?” Sirius asked with a laugh. Ruthie grinned up at him as he kissed the top of her head. Amelia went over and picked up five year old Remus, who had been squirming to get to her. She laughed as she kissed his cheek. Fred let go of his mother’s hand and ran at Sirius, who picked him up and spun him around before putting him on top of his shoulders. “Allison, Kendall, I’m glad you came! It’s great to see you again,” Emily said as she looked at Sirius’ fiancé and Amelia’s boyfriend. “There was no way we’d miss seeing Ruthie off,” Allison laughed. They all slowly walked over to where Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron were standing. They caught the gist of their conversation. “You and Al will share a room only when I want the house demolished,” Harry said firmly as he looked at James. Emily chuckled lightly along with everyone else. Harry checked his watch after they all said their hellos. “It’s nearly eleven, you’d better get on board,” Harry said. Emily turned to Ruthie and bent down so that Ruthie’s head was slightly above hers. “Will you write me?” Ruthie asked as she wound her arms around Emily’s neck. “Every day if you want,” Emily promised. “Every day,” Ruthie whispered. Emily chuckled and nodded. “I’ll miss you, Mummy,” Ruthie said. Emily kissed her cheek. “I’ll miss you too, sweetheart. I’ll see you soon for the holidays.” Ruthie nodded and went to hug her father, who she made promise to write her every day as well. Teddy had made it to the group in time to say goodbye to Ruthie. He kissed his little sister’s cheek before she went round to her other siblings. After hugging all of them, Ruthie boarded the train with Rose, Albus following shortly after. George heaved her trunk onto the train and James helped put it in the nearest compartment with Rose’s stuff. Ruthie held tightly to her new owl as she waved goodbye. “Why are they all staring?” Albus demanded as he looked out the window. “Don’t let it worry you. It’s me. I’m extremely famous,” Ron said. The kids all laughed as the train began to move. Emily and George waved with smiles on their faces. “She’ll be fine,” George murmured in her ear as he wound his arms around her belly. The train vanished from view as the steam evaporated. “I know, but still,” she whispered. You had better be watching over her, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black! she thought as she flicked her eyes up to the sky. “No worries, we’ll see her soon,” George said quietly as he kissed her hair. Emily nodded and turned back around. Lee and Katie Jordan made their way over to the small group. Lee shook George’s hand and hugged Emily, saying how they arrived late and he was sorry he missed seeing Ruthie off. They had gotten little Leslie on the train just in time before it pulled out of the station. “Have you heard any news yet?” Ginny squealed as she came up to them. Everyone was staring at Emily and George expectantly, their kids’ faces full of anxiousness and excitement. Emily side glanced at George and grinned. “Twins,” they said at the same time. “Male and female, actually,” Emily added, looking at her eldest children knowingly. Emily and George were seized around their small circle of family, being hugged, kissed, and congratulated. Emily and George finally made it back to each other and he kissed her full on the lips, his face looking like he was eighteen again with his excitement. “Ewe, Mum, Dad! That’s gross! Cut it out!” Fred and Remus whined. They all laughed as they split apart. “You’re kind of setting a standard for all of us, George,” Lee joked. “What is it? Seven now?” he laughed. Emily glanced at George with a wide grin plastered on her face. “It’s what we planned on,” she said as George kissed her hair. “Have you picked out names yet?” Amelia asked in excitement, looking at her parents expectantly. “Yes,” George said with a grin. “Emma and Geoffrey Weasley,” Emily and George said together. He glanced at her and kissed her cheek. She smiled as he whispered, “I love you.” “Forever and Always,” she whispered back. Her fingertips absently went to the ring that was cut in two halves on her right hand. Her fingertips slowly went over the words Meet You Under the Moon as she thought about Remus and Tonks, along with Fred, Sirius, and Amelia, watching over them. fin (¯`V´¯) `*. ¸. *´ ¸. •´¸. •*¨) ¸. • (¸. •´ (¸. •´. •´ *Disclaimer: Any quotes you recognize, are the amazing JK Rowling's; I'm just borrowing them ^_^ Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!! ^_^ What do you guys think? :glomp: :val5: |
