Okie dokie, here's a small one ^_^ Banner by Me Emily watched as one of the Death Eaters pointed his wand at George’s chest. George was preoccupied with another Death Eater and hadn’t noticed yet. “AVADA KEDAVRA!” Emily yelled, pointing it at the Death Eater before he could get his spell out. George had just finished off the other Death Eater as the others in the group finished the third. His head whipped around to the sound of her voice. “Emily!” he exclaimed as he started running toward her. “George!” she yelled back as she ran into his arms. “What about the twins?” he asked as he kissed her hair. “They’re with Teddy and Andromeda,” she whispered. “You should leave,” he whispered. “No, Georgie, don’t you remember? Wherever you go, I go,” she whispered as she pulled back to look at him. “We face the music together, Forever and Always,” she said firmly. George stared at her before nodding and kissing her. A shout and a bang erupted somewhere from their left and they broke apart, wands held aloft. They started fighting off another group of Death Eaters, side by side. As they fought, Emily side glanced out of the window and onto the grounds. She made out a witch with fluorescent red hair that could only be Tonks and a man beside her that looked a lot like Remus. They were fighting off a group of Death Eaters alone and their odds didn’t look good. Emily turned her attention back to her fight and shot a stunner at one of the Death Eaters while George took out the other, and then she ran down the hall, George right behind her. She fought while she was on the run but she didn’t dare stop. She quickly went to the grounds and made her way over to help Remus and Tonks. They rounded the corner in time to see Tonks fall to the ground, lifeless. “NO!” roared Emily and Remus at the same time. In the half second that Remus took to cry out for his wife, Antonin Dolohov shot the killing curse at him. It hit him square in the chest, right above his heart. Emily doubled back as she watched him fall, in slow motion, to the ground. “NO!” she screamed. George tried to get a hold on her to stop her, but she got loose and made her way over to the retreating man. “FIGHT ME, YOU COWARD!” Emily yelled at him. She shot a stunner at his back, but he turned in time to deflect it. He gave her a smug smirk as he shot a curse at her. It missed by inches but it made her stumble backwards as he ran off into the forest. George helped her to her feet, though the action was rather difficult. “No! No!” she screamed in a high pitched voice. “Shhh, there’s nothing you can do, it’s done, Emily, please,” he pleaded. George struggled to keep hold of her. He glanced around and noticed that none of the Death Eaters were in sight. They had all fled. “He-he c-can’t b-be d-dead,” Emily cried as she finally just gave up, collapsing in his arms. They sunk to the ground as George held her, letting her tears stain his shirt. “H-he pr-promised!” “I know, Ems, I know, everything will be okay,” he whispered, trying to soothe her. Emily and George gasped in shock as they heard Voldemort’s voice fill the air. They felt the vibrations on the ground from his loud voice. “You have fought valiantly. Lord Voldemort knows how to value bravery,” his high, cold voice said. Emily didn’t want to listen to this voice. It knew nothing of love and family. It knew nothing of the loss of a beloved one. But Emily did. The only parent she had left in this world was gone, her best friend was gone, her other half of the moon was gone. Emily wept into George’s shirt and drowned out the rest of Voldemort’s words. She didn’t care what he had to say. What do you think? :val5: |

New Banner by Me The next thing she knew, George was lifting her up in his arms with his wand aloft. He summoned two gurney type things and levitated Tonks and Remus on top of them. He carried Emily and led the other two back into the castle, into the Great Hall. He saw the red hair of his family and made his way to them. He gently laid Tonks and Remus on the ground, the gurneys disappearing. Emily squirmed out of his arm and made her way over to Remus. She looked at his pale, unmoving face. She took his hand in hers and let out a soft sob. She rested her head on his chest as her tears came out more rushed now. She glanced behind her and saw Fred’s still body, which caused another round of tears to erupt. George was kneeling at his head, tears flowing down his cheeks. She wanted to reach out, hold him as he did her, but she couldn’t bring herself to move. She couldn’t bring herself to let go of Remus. She looked back at Remus and their intertwined fingers. She noticed the glint from his ring and traced the edges with her fingertips. She thought about his promise from so many years ago. I will never leave you, Ems, he had said. She looked down at her ring and then his face. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully. Emily glanced back at George, who had been staring at her. Their eyes met briefly before Emily looked back at Remus and touched the hand she was holding with her other hand. As her tears flooded her eyes, she gently pried his fingers from hers, letting him go. She fell back against the floor and scooted away from her dead Godfather. Emily felt George’s arms wind around her waist and pull her up into his lap. He rocked her gently as his own tears poured. “I can’t believe their gone,” she whispered. “I know; me either,” he whispered. “They’re going to move the bodies off into some empty classrooms,” he whispered. Emily nodded as Hermione raised her wand and levitated Remus and Tonks off into a nearby chamber. “George,” Emily whispered as she twisted in his lap. “Hmmm,” he said. “I can’t lose you too… If you go, I go,” she whispered. “I know, Ems… And if you go, I go,” he whispered as he kissed her cheek. After a few moments of silence, George pulled Emily off to the side, leaning back against the wall. They watched as body after body was carried out of the room and off into some other chamber. They knew they should probably help, but they couldn’t bring themselves to get up, out of each other’s arms. Emily stroked his cheek with the back of her hand as his hand ran through her hair. Their eyes never left the other’s and their fingers never let go. As they heard Voldemort say that Harry was dead, they scrambled up and ran out onto the grounds with the others who were there. They saw in horror as Hagrid put Harry’s still body by Voldemort’s feet. Emily held tightly to George’s hand as she cried silently at the sight of Harry. They watched as Neville ran at the snakelike man. There was a scuffle as George grabbed his wand. Neville grunted as a flash of light made him fly back against the ground. A shiver ran up her spine as Bellatrix laughed delightedly. She wanted to kill Bellatrix. Her wand arm twitched but George held it firmly down, shaking his head an infinite amount. Her eyes flew through the crowd of Death Eaters and she found who she was looking for—Dolohov. She didn’t look away from his hollow face. “I’ll join when hell freezes over!” she heard Neville shout. “Dumbledore’s Army!” Everyone cheered, breaking the silencing charm. Emily didn’t cheer; she didn’t make a sound except for her heavy breathing. Her eyes were trained on the beast that ripped out her heart. She faintly heard the screams from Neville as fire erupted around his head. She felt for him, but she wouldn’t turn, couldn’t turn. Dolohov was the only one she was focused on and she wasn’t going to let him move from her sight. In her peripheral vision, Emily saw a green football fall through the air—except it wasn’t a football, it was Nagini’s head. Everyone was scattered as the battle started again. Dolohov was fighting off a few students, backing them into the Entrance Hall. As the students were stunned or killed at his feet, he looked up to find Emily glaring at him, stalking toward him slowly as soon as she had finished with another Death Eater. He laughed a cold, hard laugh. “Well, well, well, Black, come to join your Godfather?” he cackled. Emily’s face turned stone cold as her wand raised and pointed at his black heart. “Go to hell,” she said in disgust. |
wow Emily you go girl :P great post :D |
