Hello Emily. Great post. I have mixed emotions for Dumbledore now. I've always loved him, but, I can't say I do now I think. It's too much to expect a young newlywed woman to be the caretaker of the world. These things she's doing she could do in the comforts of her own home. Like superman, he lived at home, and worked, but when the call for help was given he was there. She has the Diluminator to let her know when someone needs help. Just because he worked alone, doesn't mean she has to. And George would just have to be ok with it. My only thoughts in saving Dumbledore from my wrath is that maybe he's getting her used to being away from all she loves so she won't be distracted when the time for her to get in the heavy duty stuff. Great post Emily. Know that you're doing a great job writing when you can get me all riled up against someone I love. I'll be watching for your next post.:glomp: |

And also, would she have really been able to communicate with Snape if she stayed home? Nobody was allowed to know that he was on the good side--it could jeopardize everything. So, George really wouldn't have been able to know about him. But anyhoo, I hope you can cut Dumbledore some slack, since it is my fault that it is this way... :) Quote:
I'll post the next part either tonight or tomorrow... It depends on how long it takes me to finish my Geology homework... :/ And I also wanted tell everybody that they should head over to the Marauder's Drabbles Competitions, if you haven't already checked it out! They have a couple of games going on and what not, including Hangman. And everyone should go vote for their favorite drabbles! The more the merrier! |

Okie dokie, here's where things take a turn... Emily almost left in the middle of October, but when she used her Deluminator, she landed near a village. She glanced around in confusion and heard voices suddenly. Emily appeared to be standing about ten feet away from a group of six people. Ron was in their midst—he looked like he’d been captured and everything. She saw his wand in someone else’s hands. They all looked excited to have caught him, but one of them had heard her pop. While the others started arguing about whether Ron was Stan Shunpike or not, the one stared right at her, his wand rising slowly. “Look! There’s another one!” he said. Ron’s head snapped round as the bloke said it. His eyes went round as he saw Emily. She wasn’t hidden with different disguises today. She nodded slightly to him and he returned it. Ron hit the one holding him in the stomach and Emily shot a body stunner at the one who had noticed her first. Ron grabbed the guy’s wand and disarmed the one holding his wand. Emily ran over to them and helped Ron up. “Get out of here,” she whispered. He nodded slightly and Disapparated. The other two surprised Emily from behind and grabbed her wand. “OY!” she yelled as one took hold of her wrists. “Well, well, well, who do we have here?” asked one of the guys as the other guy helped the one she had stunned off the ground. They circled her, her wand in one of their hands. “Let go of me!” she said firmly. “I don’t think so… It seems you’ve been on the run, sweetheart. Why is that? Are you a Mudblood by chance?” he asked. Emily shook her head, struggling against the guy’s hold on her. “I think you’re lying… Why else would you be on the run?” “That’s none of your business,” she spat. Emily elbowed the guy holding her, and he doubled over in pain. She knocked out the guy with her wand, which flew a little ways to the side. She dove for it, but one of the other guys pulled a knife and stabbed her leg. “Argh!” she cried. Emily stumbled as blood gushed down her leg. She was in too much pain that she could barely handle it. Tears flooded her eyes as she pulled the knife out of her thigh and threw it at the guy who stabbed her. The knife went through his chest and he fell backwards. Emily scooted backwards on the wet earth. Her hair was completely drenched from the pouring rain. She finally reached her wand, but not in time. The only guy still standing had reached his wand first. “Sectumsempra!” he yelled at her, pointing his wand at her heart. Emily felt more pain than she could ever imagine. More and more blood was leaving her body and she knew that she would die if she didn’t get out of there. She Disapparated, concentrating with all her might. She watched the bloody scene in front of her fade away as different woods came into view. She staggered and fell over. She thought she heard her name, but wasn’t sure if she was imagining it or not. Her vision became blurry and she blacked out. The last thing that went through her mind was George’s smile. Okie dokie, let me know what you think ^_^ |
OMG!! That is so sad!!:( So, this is THE post you mean? What about the more-than-one baby-thing when she got hit in the stomach?? :O Oh no!! PAMS right now!!!:D K xx |

Hello Emily. Please don't be afraid of anything I said in my last comment. It really is a great compliment when a writer can sway the feelings of the reader. And I trust your writing that you would never allow my feelings to stay guarded against Dumbledore. I know that you had to have things a certain way:shifty: for the other things whatever they are down the storyline to work correctly. I'm sure my love for Dumbledore will be reinstated. And besides, it's just this one and a couple other ff's that his reputation is in jeopardy. :xd: Breath easy, your story is a great success, and you know I love it. [QUOTE]“Well, well, well, who do we have here?” asked one of the guys as the other guy helped the one she had stunned off the ground. They circled her, her wand in one of their hands.[QUOTE]Go ahead punk, make her day.<_< Emily! That battle was breathtaking! I held my breath through the whole thing! Oh my goodness! I can't say anything, really I'm speechless. Quote:
Outstanding post Emily. Can't wait for your next.:glomp: |
