“Morning,” George whispered into Emily’s hair the next morning. Emily glanced at the alarm clock that George had so kindly turned off before they had gone to sleep. It was three in the afternoon. “More like good afternoon,” Emily chuckled. She wiggled in his arms and kissed his cheek. “How did you sleep?” he asked. “Amazingly,” she answered with a smile. George’s bed was the bottom bunk, so he enlarged it so they would have plenty of room. “Mmmm, me too,” he whispered. “I haven’t slept that well since the night before I left.” “Why is that?” Emily asked, puzzled. That was one of the worst nights for her. Granted, they were together, but still. She cried herself to sleep because of the goodbye she knew she was going to make. “Because I had you in my arms,” he replied simply. She smiled and buried her face in his neck. He chuckled, rubbing her back. She kissed his neck and then gently nibbled his ear. “I could stay like this forever,” Emily sighed. “I wouldn’t mind it either,” he laughed. George unexpectedly flipped her over on the bed so that he was on top and started tickling her sides. Emily was laughing uncontrollably. “Stop it, STOP IT!” she screamed, giggling madly. “Mercy, mercy!” she got out through fits of laughter. George collapsed on top of her, finally stopping. They were both still laughing. George lifted up her shirt to reveal Emily’s stomach. He kissed her lily-white skin. Emily smiled down at him. George scooted to the side of Emily, propping up on his elbow. He tangled his legs with hers, and knotted his other hand into her hair, forcing her to turn her body toward him. Emily’s hand crept up to the side of his face. It rested on his upper jaw, cupping his cheek. Her thumb rubbed soothing circles onto his lips. “I want you forever,” George whispered. “You already have me,” Emily whispered back, “always.” “I love you so much, Ems,” he said softly. “As I love you,” she said. Their eyes were locked, never turning. She could melt in his eyes, drown in his eyes. She would die for those eyes and the man they belonged to. “I love you,” George whispered. “You already said that,” Emily giggled. George chuckled lightly. He gently unknotted his hand from her hair, and without taking his eyes off of her, reached behind her. The close proximity made both of them smile. She breathed in his scent and sighed. He pulled back, his hand tightly closed around something Emily couldn’t see. He started to get out of the bed. Emily was about to object when he positioned her own body so that she was sitting up, her legs hanging over the bed. He knelt down on his knee in front of her. She was speechless. “I love you, Emily James Remus Amelia Sirius Black. I’ve loved you since the first day you said my name, the first day you gave me a hug, the first day you smiled at me, laughed with me. I’ve loved you since the first day I got lost in your brilliant eyes that I swear are just like the sea. I’ve loved you since that race we had on our brooms that brought us to our tree where you carved our names in it. I’ve loved you since last year under our tree where we danced. I have loved you since our first kiss. I have loved you for as long as I can remember. I am madly in love with you, Ems, and I can’t imagine a moment in this life I want to spend without you. You are the macaroni to my cheese, the peanut butter to my jelly, and the oxygen to ever breath I take. I want you forever and always... Marry me?” George asked. Emily had tears gliding down her cheeks. George opened his hand to reveal the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. It was a cushion cut with diamonds lining the band all the way around. She looked back up into his smoldering eyes. Choking back a sob, she said, “Yes.” He grinned widely at her, letting out a sigh of relief. he asked. “You have no idea how closely I wrapped myself around your heart. Yes, I will marry you, George Weasley. I love you so much, and I want you forever and always,” Emily promised. George slid the diamond ring on her left ring finger and basically jumped on top of her on the bed. She giggled while he kissed her fingers and her hand, making his way up her arm and neck, to her jaw bone and then finally her lips. They were in complete bliss. Life has its moments. It has its moments when it’s happy, sad, depressing, exciting. It has its moments when it makes you cry, pout, laugh, and smile. And most of all, life has its moments when you are thankful to have this life and never want to give it back. This was one of those moments. Emily, and George for that matter, was unconditionally and irrevocably in love. They were thankful to have been brought together, thankful to have each other, and they wouldn’t change it for the world. Emily's engagement ring *So, I know they're young, and though I don't personally condone getting married this young unless you happen to be Bella and Edward, it's kind of vital to the story and what not... Let me know watchya think :) |
OMG !!! awhhhhhhh !! first of alll wooohoooo second i have a feeling that something willl come between them (*coughs* Sirius's death *coughs*) and thirdly the ring is absolutly beautiful and forthly PAMS!!!! |

Hello Emily. Umm, Your chapter was very well written. Georges proposal was well executed, and I wonder how long he practiced it before he got to ask her. And Emily's exceptance was very elequent and I'm glad they will be married. It kind of seems like it is so soon after all her drama from before, and they just got together a short bit back, BUT, I do believe in love at first sight, and occasionally it does still happen. As George said in his very earnest proposal, he loved her from the first time he met her. And it is obvious this is true, because he was miserable without her when all the drama was going on. I don't think Emily had it as lucky as George did though. She did think she was in love with Draco, but she came to a point when she knew she loved George, and she left to make absolutely sure, so there wouldn't be any doubts later if she was able to get him back. This shows her maturity, and her readiness to marry. I do hope though they get seperate bedrooms though. But, that's just me I guess. :) The ring is beautiful. Quote:

Hehe, if you like this story, have a read of mine please. A new world, It's in the other stories Yes, I was talking about Tonks:D And in my story, while Em was crying on her bed, Sarah was facing Umbridge downstairs |
You're so evil, Emily! =] You see, I was so happy reading this (even though they are young)... it's still so cute! But I know you by now, Emily, and I know that some more drama is headed their way. The good thing is that you mentioned that you already wrote their vows... and you probably wouldn't have done that unless you planned on them getting married. So that's good. But I know that something bad is going to happen soon =[... and I'm not ready for that! Ha ha! Anyway, lovely post, as usual... and I can't wait for more... so PAMS!!! |

I'm in the mood for a new post... Anyone else? ;) Emily and George stayed in bed for an hour or so before deciding it was finally time to get up. They took their showers separately, and then got ready for the day ahead, or at least what was left of it. They, of course, told Fred when he came to check on them. He was ecstatic for them. Emily dressed in a white summer dress, which had a blue-green bow that matched her eyes wrapped around at the torso. She found ballet flats to match and magically curled her hair. She put on some light makeup and found accessories to match. George dressed identically. He wore jeans with a white, button up, muggle shirt. He wore a tie that Emily magically transformed to match her bow. She was straightening it when Fred walked in. “Hello, lovebirds,” he chuckled. Emily giggled. “I closed down the shop for the day. Are you ready to spread the news? I’m definitely not missing Mum and Dad’s face when you tell them,” he snickered. Emily’s smile dropped a little. “Don’t worry, love,” George said, bringing her face up by her chin. “Everything will be fine,” he promised. “More than fine—everything will be perfect.” Emily smiled and pecked him on the lips. Sighing, she led the boys into the small flat above their shop. George sat on the armchair and she sat in his lap, Fred sitting on the arm. “Sirius Black,” she said into the mirror. It vibrated twice in her hands before her father’s face appeared in the reflection. “Emily? Is everything all right?” he asked. Emily nodded. “Dad, is Remus there by chance? And Mr. and Mrs. Weasley?” she asked him nervously. George rubbed soothing circles into her back. Sirius narrowed his eyes at the couple. Emily had beads of sweat appearing at her hairline. “Yeah, they happen to be here, as well as a few others,” Sirius said slowly. He waved the mirror in front of him, showcasing the room to the trio. Emily gulped as she noticed how many Order members were there. “O...kay, don’t let anybody leave,” Emily said. “Why?” asked Sirius. “We’ll explain when we get there, okay? Just don’t go anywhere,” Emily said bossily. Sirius agreed and they both hung up. “Ready?” Fred asked with a menacing smile. Emily playfully slapped his shoulder and he snickered. They all stood up. Fred disappeared before Emily and George. Emily snuggled into George’s side and held his hands tightly. They Disapparated, appearing in front of number 12 Grimmauld Place. She took a huge breath while George gently squeezed her hand. Fred was already standing in the doorway with the door ajar, waiting for them. He opened his arm as an invitation into the house, and they slowly walked into it. Emily felt the nerves bubble up in her stomach, but as soon as she rounded the corner to the dining room and saw Remus and Sirius, her face formed a huge grin. They both stood up warily. Emily let go of George’s hand and ran at them. She wrapped one arm around Remus’ neck while her other went around Sirius’. They both hugged her tightly, cautiously. “Emily, I just saw you this morning. What is going on?” Remus asked her. She ignored it. Mrs. Weasley came up to the boys and studied them suspiciously. Fred grinned while George smiled shyly. He pecked her on the cheek and then stepped back. Emily finally let go of her father and Godfather and stepped back also. She stood side by side with her fiancé as all of the parents lined up in front of them, the table separating them. The other Order members stood off to the side, watching the scene unfold. Fred stood amongst them, right in the front, with a grin plastered largely on his face. Letting out a huge breath, Emily glanced at George. He nodded reassuringly and she nodded back. “Will somebody just spit it out?” Remus huffed. “George and I have an announcement,” Emily said quietly. Her hands were shaking slightly. George held them tightly, trying to steady them. “We’re, er, we’re,” Emily started. “Engaged,” she squealed in excitement. None of the parents moved. They just stared at Emily and George, and then, all at once, they started yelling, everyone except for Sirius that is. “You’re too young!” “You’re just kids!” “You can’t be serious!” “I forbid you!” “You don’t know what love is!” “You’re too young!” Emily glanced at George. He gave her a reassuring smile before he looked back up at their parents. He placed his left hand in front of him. “JUST STOP!” he yelled. They all quieted down. “We aren’t too young—” George started. They tried interrupting but Fred whistled loudly to make them stay quiet. “We’re not too young,” he said forcefully. “I’m of age, and in a year, so will Emily, which also answers the accusations of being kids. I know I can act immature with my jokes and pranks sometimes, but I’m not an idiot. I fell for her, didn’t I?” he asked them. Nobody answered. “We are completely, one hundred percent serious about each other and our future together, so don’t ever question it again, please. And you can forbid us all you want, but it won’t stop us. I let her slip through my fingers once; I’ll never make that mistake again. I’m keeping her forever, and we are getting married. And as for not knowing what love is,” George said softly. He turned to Emily and wrapped his arms around her waist. Their foreheads touched and they both smiled. “We do,” he whispered. “We’re more in love than you could ever imagine.” Everyone was quiet for a moment, and then Remus interrupted it. “You don’t know what love is, Emily,” he said roughly. Emily sighed and turned to Remus. “I mean, look at all of your past relationships!” “Unless you can see inside my heart, there’s no way you could possibly understand how he makes me feel. I do know what love is, Rems. I am madly in love with my soul mate, and I am marrying him,” she said. “As for my past relationships—none of them matter, Rems. The only thing that matters is my future, which only belongs with George. I may have made mistakes and I may have fallen for the wrong guys, but George—he’s,” Emily let out a sigh and faced George again. He wrapped his arms more securely around her waist again and their foreheads came together. “He’s my soul mate, and like he said, we’ve let each other slip through our fingers before, it’s not happening again. He’s my everything, and he makes me extremely happy. I want him and only him for the rest of my life. I love him with every fiber of my being, every cell in my body, and every beat of my heart. We are getting married, and I hope that you guys can be behind us and support us, but if not, then fine. Fred can walk me down the aisle for all I care. All that matters is that George is the one waiting for me at the altar.” Emily closed her eyes and George kissed the tear that had just escaped her eyelid. “I love you,” he whispered. “Forever and always,” she whispered back. They looked deep in each other’s eyes before they made an unspoken agreement to turn and face the music. Sirius came up to them first. “Congrats, guys,” he said softly. He gave Emily a hug and shook George’s hand. “You know, Dad, you didn’t seem all that surprised,” Emily accused. Sirius winked and gave her a huge grin. “Where do you think the ring came from?” “What?” she asked, surprised. “It was your mother’s, Ems. She would have wanted you to have it,” he said softly. “Is it really?” she asked. Sirius nodded and she brought her hand up to look more closely at the ring. “Wow, thanks, Dad. This means so much,” Emily whispered. Sirius kissed her cheek and then went to go stand off by the side. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were next. They slowly walked up to them. Emily glanced at George. “Congratulations, son,” Mr. Weasley said as he shook George’s hand. “You did really well,” he chuckled, looking at Emily. “Yeah, I’m not sure how I pulled it off, but I’m not going to question it,” George joked. Emily slapped George’s stomach with the back of her hand and they all laughed, well, all but two. “Welcome to the family, Emily,” Mr. Weasley said. He gave her a one armed hug and then stepped back so his wife could say something. “Thanks, Mr. Weasley,” Emily said with a smile. “I guess you can call me Dad now,” he laughed. Mrs. Weasley looked at her husband and he shut up quickly. “I wish you would wait,” Mrs. Weasley said, looking at her son. “I know you would, Mum, but I don’t want to wait anymore. I’ve waited my whole life for her,” George said softly. Mrs. Weasley nodded sadly. “There is one thing I’ve learned over the years—once your mind is set, there’s no changing it. You’re too stubborn. And I will always be behind you, one hundred percent.” Mrs. Weasley cupped the side of her son’s cheek and then hugged him. She looked at Emily and gave her a huge hug. “Welcome to the family,” she whispered. “Thanks, Mrs. Weasley,” Emily murmured. Mrs. Weasley stepped back and her and her husband moved to the side of the room. Emily glanced back at Remus. His face was red and he was certainly flustered. He couldn’t even look at her. His eyes were trained on the ground. Finally not being able to take it anymore, Remus fled the room. Everyone looked after him. Tonks started to move, to go after him, but Emily stopped her. “No, let me, Tonks. I need to be the one to talk to him,” she sighed. George kissed her cheek and then Emily went after him. She searched the other rooms and finally found him in the room with Buckbeak. *Let me know wathcya think ;) |
