Alrighty, I don't know if you're ready for this date... Haha, new post! :) After cooling down, Emily glanced at her watch. She had about five minutes left until she was supposed to meet Cedric for their date. Sighing, she stood and put on a smile. She was going to make the best of this day. Emily arrived two minutes early, but to her surprise, Cedric was already there, waiting for her. “You’re a bit early,” Emily accused with a smile. “I couldn’t help myself. I just couldn’t wait to see you,” he said quietly as he walked over to her. “Uh huh,” she said. “You know, you’re a little early too, sweetheart,” Cedric whispered. “Maybe you were eager to see me too,” he said seductively. Emily chuckled. “Well, sweetheart, what can I say? I just simply couldn’t stay away,” she whispered, moving closer to him, her lips centimeters from his. “You shouldn’t tease me,” Cedric said. Emily sighed. “I guess you caught me,” she said as she moved her mouth away from him. He groaned quietly. Emily giggled. “You think that’s funny, do you?” Cedric asked. He ran at Emily and picked her up, his arms around her waist. He started tickling her. Emily screamed for him to stop between laughing. “CedRIC!” Emily screeched, laughing madly. He finally let her go and they bent over, breathing heavily. “You’ll pay for that later,” she declared. “Doubtful,” he snickered. “Just wait,” she promised. “Looks like I’ll be waiting for a while,” he chuckled. “That’s right, keep talking.” Cedric chuckled some more as he led Emily out into the sun. They sat down on a stone bench and talked for hours at a time. Over the course of their conversations, Emily ended up sprawled across the bench, her head in Cedric’s lap. Her hair was laid out behind her, draping over Cedric’s right leg and part of the bench. He played with her silky, soft, red hair as she tried telling him jokes. “Have you heard the joke about the tornado?” Emily giggled. She had started laughing before the she could even finish the joke, but then again, that’s how it always was. “No,” chuckled Cedric. Emily put her hand over her eyes to block out the sun as she looked up at Cedric. “It will—blow—you—away,” she said through fits of giggles. Cedric laughed lightly at her extremely corny joke. “You do realize that it wasn’t even funny, right?” asked a voice in front of Emily and Cedric. It was Angelina. Emily didn’t respond, but looked back at Cedric. “You couldn’t even get it out without laughing, you’re the worst with telling jokes,” Angelina insulted. But Emily just lay there without responding. “I thought it was extremely funny, and I think she told it quite well,” Cedric said defensively as he glanced down at Emily. She smiled at him. “Do you have any more jokes?” he asked cheerfully. “Have you heard the joke about the cookie?” Emily asked, giggling. Angelina huffed and stalked off. “Nope,” Cedric said with a grin. “It’s okay, it was pretty crummy,” Emily said with the wave of her hand. Cedric and Emily laughed happily. And then she continued telling him really corny jokes until it was lunchtime. Emily stood up and started for the Great Hall when Cedric caught her arm and pulled her back. “You’re going the wrong way,” he chuckled. “What? But I thought we were going to lunch?” she asked in confusion. “We are,” Cedric said with a smile. “Lunch is waiting for us by the lake,” he said. Emily looked back at the lake. She then noticed a picnic basket under her tree. She started breathing heavily. They couldn’t eat there—that was her and George’s tree. *Alrighty, it's just a short one :) All of the corny jokes, I got from my best friend, Ruth. We're really corny, as you can tell... Haha, anyways, let me know watchya think :) |
Stop leaving me in suspense! Or you will never see your cookie:evil: PAMS! |

Here's the new post!! Emily looked back at the lake. She then noticed a picnic basket under her tree. She started breathing heavily. They couldn’t eat there—that was her and George’s tree. “Can-can we eat over there?” Emily asked quietly. She pointed across the lake, on the opposite side, far away from their tree. “Er, sure, I guess,” Cedric said quietly. “I just always thought you liked the other tree, I mean, you always sat under there,” Cedric explained. Emily nodded. “The other side has better shading,” she lied. How was she supposed to explain the significance of that tree? After that awkward moment, Cedric and Emily made their way to the opposite side of the lake. Cedric summoned the picnic basket and they ate their lunch. Emily was finishing eating a strawberry when Cedric looked over at her. “What?” she finally asked. “If only I hadn’t used that one line,” he chuckled, shaking his head. Emily giggled slightly. “Tell me why,” he whispered. “I don’t know what you mean,” she said quietly. “Oh please, you know what I’m talking about. The shading is obviously better over there, under that tree. Tell me why you nearly had a panic attack when I told you we were eating over there,” Cedric said. Emily swallowed hard. “I just—I don’t know,” Emily whispered. She buried her face in her hands. Cedric scooted over beside her and held her gently. “Don’t worry, I think I know why,” he whispered. Emily let out a sob. “I’m so sorry, Cedric,” Emily whispered. “I should have been honest to you. The truth is that I’m in no shape to be dating right now. I’m damaged right now, and you deserve someone whole.” Cedric tightened his hold on her shoulders. “Shhh, it’s okay, Emily. Don’t cry. I knew you were damaged, but I was hoping that maybe I could fill the hole. I guess that nobody but he can fill that hole. I get it now,” Cedric said quietly. After lunch, Emily and Cedric split ways. Cedric went and hung out with his friends while Emily went back to her dormitory. She collapsed in her bed and stayed there for the remainder of the day. “Emily?” Hermione asked quietly that night. “Hmm,” Emily responded from her bed. She was facing the other way, curled up in a ball. “Professor Lupin is outside the portrait hole. He wants to talk to you,” Hermione said quietly. Emily rolled over and got out of bed. Without another word, she went down the stairs and out the portrait hole. “Emily!” Remus exclaimed as she walked past him to a staircase. She sat at the bottom while he joined her. “Hey, Remus,” Emily said quietly in a monotone voice. “Emily, you need to snap out of this,” Remus said. “It’s not something I can just ‘snap out of’, Remus,” Emily said quietly. “Well, try, because everybody is worried about you,” Remus said slightly loudly. “Remus, do you think that everyone has a soul mate?” Emily asked quietly. Remus studied her. She was looking at the wall opposite them, as if she were bored. “I think there is someone for everyone, yes,” Remus said slowly. “What if you let that someone slip through your fingers, Remus? Then what?” she asked slowly. “Emily, boys can’t make you feel this way—like everything will go downhill for you just because you’re not with him,” Remus said. Remus put his hand on her knee and she grabbed it tightly. “What if it’s a feeling you can’t control, Rems?” Emily asked as a tear splattered to the floor. Remus pulled her into his side and squeezed her shoulder affectionately. “You’re grounded, Emily,” Remus said. “What? What for? From what?” Emily asked, shocked. “You’re grounded because I said so. And from boys,” he chuckled. “I actually don’t mind this punishment,” Emily sighed. “I had a feeling you wouldn’t,” Remus chuckled. *Tell me watchya think :) |

Remus shouldn't be so negative about himself- he deserves the same as everyone else! Cedric took that pretty well... Considering everything that it was about. Emily needs George... And deep down, George knows it, even if he's not doing anything about it... PAMS ILY :val5: Abi... xox |
