Alrighty, here's the new post :) Please enjoy :) Draco was silent for a few moments. He denied what his gut was telling him. He looked off into the distance, his head still on top of hers. “It’s him, isn’t it?” Draco whispered. Emily couldn’t speak. She knew that if she opened her mouth now, her voice would betray her. Emily had tears rolling down her cheeks as she nodded. Draco let out a gust of air. He slackened his grip on her and raised his head from hers. “I’m so sorry, Draco,” Emily sobbed. “Don’t,” he whispered. Emily finally looked at him. It broke her heart even more, but it was something she’d have to live with, because there was someone else she couldn’t live without. She grabbed his hand and he squeezed it gently, and then he let it go. “I’m sorry for leading you on. I...shouldn’t have come. Draco, I really am sorry,” Emily whispered. Her tear ducts didn’t have time to dry up because the tears kept coming. “I’m glad you came. The last time...when we said goodbye, it wasn’t really enough closure for me, and then at the owlery...well, that didn’t really go as planned. If you hadn’t come, I would have always wondered.” Draco looked away from her and off towards the ocean. The smell of the salty water stung their noses. “I’m sorry it has to be like this, Dray. I just need to be alone for a while. I need to be with just myself. All of the drama this year has eaten away at me, and I just need to mold myself back together.” Emily sighed, wiping her cheeks. Emily started to stand. She wiped off the sand from her red pants. Her fingertips barely swept through the top of Draco’s hair as she walked past him toward the tree. “Emily, wait. I wanted to give you something,” Draco said. He stood up and jogged over to her. She turned around. “Draco, I can’t accept it. It wouldn’t be right.” “Please. I made it just for you. I want you to have it. You don’t have to wear it or anything, but at least take it, you know, so you won’t forget me.” “I don’t think there is any way on this earth that I could forget you, Dray,” Emily whispered. Draco dug in his pocket. He pulled out a ring. Emily’s breath caught. It was gorgeous. It was grass, just like Ron’s present, but it had a stone in the middle. The stone was a blue green. The stone was magically charmed so it wouldn’t ever come out. “Dray, it’s beautiful,” Emily whispered. “Do you really like it?” Emily looked up at him and nodded. “How did you make it?” she asked. “Er, my mum taught me how to do the grass part, and Professor Flitwick showed me the wand movement for securing the stone in.” Draco smiled a little. She could tell he was still upset. “How are you going to get home?” he asked. “I don’t know yet. I’ll either fly, call a taxi, or call Remus.” Emily sighed. “What are you going to do?” “I’ll fly.” Draco looked down. Emily put the ring on her right hand, on her middle finger. “I think it will be best if I go, Ems. But if you ever need me or come to your senses, I’m here,” Draco said. Draco chuckled lightly. He pulled her into a hug, kissed her cheek, and then grabbed his broom. He looked at her once more. “Bye, Draco,” Emily whispered. She fumbled with her new ring. He waved slightly at her and then walked away from her. She had hurt so many people today; it was getting difficult for her to keep count. She let a tear escape. Deciding she wasn’t quite ready to face Remus yet, Emily picked the blanket up and folded it. She buried it deep into her purse and then picked up the rest of her bags. She grabbed her broom and then started back up the beach. As she made her way to the road, she kicked a couple of pebbles in frustration. Why do I always have to hurt people? She asked herself with a grunt as she stubbed her toe by trying to kick a larger rock. She walked it off, finally at the road. Walking along, she heard a mockingbird. She smiled, remembering the muggle book. It started to twerp a melody. Emily stopped in her tracks and closed her eyes, listening. She let a few more tears escape as the songbird’s music became low and slow. It reminded her of the trip she took to the beach over the summer, the time she stayed outside in the pouring rain, staring at nothing, and the time she was imprisoned in the Hospital Wing with her crack. Her fingertips brushed the salty water off of her face, and she sighed as the mockingbird finished his song and fluttered away. “Are you okay?” asked a deep voice. *Heehee, that's where I'll leave it off :) Tell me watchya think :) |

I'll post more soon. :) |
Ugh, Emily, you're killing me with these cliffhangers! =P But it was amazing, as usual. I'm glad she finally told the truth to Draco, and maybe she does need to cool it down a bit with all of the boy drama. It wouldn't hurt to take a breath. Ha ha! But I loved it... I'm hoping the deep voice is George or something. =] PAMS!!! |

Hello Emily, my my what a great post! I loved every bit of it. Well, I must admit that in YOUR FF, I don't mind Draco anymore. He has shown maturity and compassion and I have a new likeing for him. It was very sad for things to go the way they did for him, but he has loads of time to get over her, and find someone who he will love even more. That is if his dad doesn't interfere. I too like all the others want her to go back to George, BUT, she needs to let him grow up to her mature level, and be able to get rid of what's her face and just see if there is anyone else he is interested to just go out with casualy, not committed or anything. The same goes for Emily. She needs to see other guys so she can know if George is the right guy that we all know he is. I think that the voice behind her is that Seth guy you introduced us to earlier. She can hang around with him a bit, while she's waiting for Remus to come for her. I don't like the idea of her staying at his house, but I certainly don't want her alone. So, at this point of the story, I'll be happy with anything you give us. You are very talented, and if I haven't said it before now then I'm sorry. I'll be watching for your next post. |

You ALL make me have more confidence in my writing. So, thank you all. :) |
Hey Emily. Thanks for posting!! I loved it sooo much. I agree with Connie, I have a liking towards Draco Malfoy all of a sudden because of the way you write him. In the actual JK Rowling books he is still a a pain but YOUR Draco is brilliant! The deep voice could be Seth or a vampire???? If it was George then it would be a 'familiar voice' not a 'deep voice.' TEAM GEORGE!!!!!!!(L) Katie xx :P |

Alrighty, here's the new post. :) Sorry for the delay. “Are you okay?” asked a deep voice. Emily’s eyes snapped open. Seth Clearwater was standing in front of her with ripped shorts and no shirt. She glanced at his abdomen, which was very much sculpted. “Aren’t you cold?” she asked, forgetting his previous question. “I’m fine. Are you okay? Did your friend not show up? Were you on the beach all night?” Seth asked in one breath. Emily chuckled. “One question at a time, buddy. I’m okay, I guess. I will be fine. My...friend showed up, but he’s gone now. And yes, I was on the beach all night.” “Didn’t you get cold?” Seth asked. “Er, not really. I was warm enough.” Emily paused. She pulled out her cell phone to check the time. It was still pretty early in the morning. The sun wasn’t even completely out yet. When she pushed a button so the back light would come on, nothing happened. Emily cursed the phone and then put it back in her pocket. “You wouldn’t happen to know the time, would you?” she asked Seth. Seth glanced at his surroundings, and then did something really strange to Emily. He sniffed the air. He didn’t just take a breath, but he literally sniffed the air. “It’s about five in the morning, I’d say,” Seth said slowly. Seth stared at her look of curiosity. “Are you hungry?” he asked, ignoring her curiosity. She merely nodded, and he motioned for him to follow her. He grabbed her suitcase, though Emily did object at first, and the two walked down the street toward his house. Emily glanced at him. He didn’t seem cold, but still. It was cold outside. “Are you sure you’re not cold?” she asked, glancing at his bare chest. He chuckled lightly. “The only one I’m worried about being cold is you. Are you sure you’re not cold?” “Are you kidding? You have on shorts and no shirt. At least I have on a jacket.” Seth chuckled again. “I wasn’t kidding, but if you say you’re okay, then—” “And I do—” Emily cut in. “—whatever,” Seth finished. He laughed lightly at her. They started rounding a curve. Emily looked at the woods on her left. She took a deep breath of the pine and mildew smell. It smelt like home to Emily. She basically grew up in the woods, well at least for once a month she did. The cold wind blew against them. Emily shivered and hugged her shoulders the best she could since she still had her broom in her hand. She wondered vaguely what he thought of her broom. She laughed lightly out loud at the reasons he was probably trying to come up with for her flying device. “Did I miss something funny? Care to share?” he asked with a smile. Emily just shook her head, giving him the ‘you don’t even want to know’ look. Emily and Seth passed a mailbox that said 41. We must be getting close, Emily thought, which was good because her stomach started grumbling. She hadn’t had anything to eat since her and Remus stopped at a gas station on the way to the Weasley’s. She really didn’t think this little trip through. She should have brought food. Seth chuckled. Emily looked at him. “Hungry much?” he chuckled again. Emily blushed, though not completely sure of why. “A little,” she said. They finally made their way up Seth’s driveway. Seth didn’t hesitate at the door and walked right in. Emily did hesitate at the door, but went in regardless. She glanced around at his home. It was still really early in the morning, but his mother—Emily assumed it was his mother—was in the kitchen, cleaning. “Hey, Mom,” Seth said. “I’d like you to meet Emily Black.” Seth smiled at Emily. “Hi, Ms. Clearwater, it’s nice to meet you,” Emily said shyly. She blushed slightly, but it wasn’t to the extremes quite yet. “It’s nice to meet you, too. So, you’re the one Seth hasn’t shut up about? The one he found at the beach?” Seth’s mom asked. Emily nodded her head. Seth chuckled at her shyness and walked towards the kitchen. “Emily’s a little hungry. She hasn’t eaten in a while,” Seth explained. “What would you like, dear? I can make you anything,” Ms. Clearwater said. “Oh, whatever is the easiest, really. I don’t want you to go out of your way or anything,” Emily blushed. “Oh, honey, it’s fine. You have no idea how much I have to cook for Seth and Leah. How about some toast and eggs?” she asked. Emily nodded and smiled politely. “How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, fried?” “Scrambled, please.” Emily glanced at Seth. He smiled slightly, but she could tell that something was bothering him. She hoped she wasn’t intruding too much. “Will you ladies please excuse me? I need to make a phone call,” Seth explained. His mother looked at him quizzically. She looked worried about something, but she didn’t voice her thoughts. Emily examined him, wondering what Ms. Clearwater could have seen that made her tense. Seth left the room, towards one of the doors off of the hallway. By this time, the eggs had already finished cooking and the toast popped out of the toaster. Ms. Clearwater put a portion of the eggs on a plate for Emily and then added the toast. Emily sat at the counter and ate her food, still slightly confused. She heard Seth talking in intense whispers from the other side of the doorway. “No, I’m not saying that... I’m not sure... She just smells different. I think I need to take her to the Cullen’s,” Seth whispered. This was one of those moments she was glad she had picked a wolf for her animagus. She could hear loads better now and her senses were so much more pronounced. She tensed, thinking of the location of her wand. It was in her front pocket, so she would be able to access it easily if the time presented itself. Seth walked back into the kitchen and sat down beside Emily at the counter. He gave her a fleeting smiled and then turned to the plate his mother had just placed in front of him. They both ate in silence until they were finished. “Hey, do you want to come over to meet some of my friends?” Seth asked Emily. “Er, sure,” Emily said hesitantly. “It’s still a little early. Won’t they be asleep?” Emily asked. “Nah, they’re not much for sleeping,” he said with a grin. Emily saw Ms. Clearwater smile too. Emily was clearly missing an inside joke. *Alrighty, tell me watchya think :) |
Ah Emily! What a great post! I wonder who Seth's friends are. And I'm glad Emily is prepaired for something. Still, It doesn't seem she feels endangered. I'm so anxious to read more. Great post. And by the way, I love Seth's mom. She seems so sweet. And I would be more concearned about her worry, if I were Emily. Hope you can post soon. |

Here's the new post :) Seth had borrowed his mom’s car. The drive to the “Cullen’s” wasn’t exactly as long as it could have been, because, well, Seth liked to speed. Emily clutched her seatbelt as he sped around another corner and then screeched to an almost stop when he was turning onto what she assumed was the driveway. They pulled up to a gigantic house. Emily hadn’t seen anything like it. It was gorgeous and one of a kind. Seth parked the car in front of the porch and turned the ignition off. They both unbuckled and stepped out of the car. “My friend is here. He doesn’t live here, but he’s good friends with the people that do live here. I’m friends with the people that live here too, though,” Seth explained. Emily just nodded and held onto her purse tightly. She tensed herself, ready for an attack if this were a trick. The front door opened. Emily’s breath caught. She was staring at one of the most gorgeous people she’s ever seen. He was pale with blonde hair. He was beyond handsome. He could be a model for all she knew. He was wearing a pair of jeans with a light blue sweater. It took a minute for Emily to compose herself and finally close her mouth. She smiled apologetically at the man and he politely smiled back. Seth couldn’t help but chuckle at her expression. Emily’s ears went slightly red. The man at the door stepped aside, holding the door ajar for them. “You must be Emily,” he said flawlessly. “Welcome to our home. I’m Carlisle Cullen, come on in,” he said. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you,” Emily said quietly. She and Seth walked through the door. Seth led the way to the living room. Emily wasn’t sure, but she thought that Carlisle had left since she couldn’t hear his footsteps behind her, but when she glanced back, he was there, right behind her. She smiled sheepishly at him, keeping her hand on her pocket. There were quite a few people in the living room, Emily noticed. If they all tried to fight her at the same time, she might not have a chance. She mentally tried to do the math of how much time she’d have to take each one out. Her answer: not long. She saw a boy standing behind the couch smirk like he had heard what she was thinking. They were all inhumanly beautiful to her, well, except Seth and another guy. They were just beautiful, hold the inhuman. “Everyone, this is Emily Black,” Seth said to the room at large. They all smiled politely at her. “Emily, this is Alice and Jasper,” he said. He pointed to a pixie type girl and a mysterious boy. She had cropped hair, short and black while his was a sandy color and wavy. “This is Emmett and Rosalie,” Seth continued without a beat. Emmett was very muscular and had short, curly black hair. Rosalie looked like a super model. She was breathtaking. Emily felt extremely ugly in this room compared to all the beauties. “This is Bella, Edward, and Renesmee,” Seth said with a smile. Emily could tell he liked them the most. Edward was the one who had smirked when she was thinking of her chances. He smiled at her again and she hoped she returned it. Renesmee was a little girl who was sitting in Bella’s lap. Even the little kid is more beautiful! What has this world come to? I feel hideous, Emily thought to herself. She saw Edward’s mouth turn into a half smile, like he was trying not to laugh. “This is Esme,” Seth said. “She’s Carlisle’s wife,” he explained. Emily looked at the petite woman. She, too, was gorgeous. “And this is Jake, the friend I was telling you about,” Seth said with a grin. “Whatever he told you was probably a lie,” Jake joked. “Oh, so you’re not that nice, then?” Emily asked with a serious stare. Jake stared at her for a while, but Emily couldn’t keep the seriousness up for any longer and chuckled. Jake smiled at her and then laughed too. Emily observed that Jake was buff and very tan. He didn’t have a shirt on just like Seth and also had the same cut off type shorts. Emily wondered if it was just a style choice in this part of the world. “Hardly,” Edward murmured. Emily stitched her eyebrows together, wondering if he was answering an unsaid question. He could hardly be answering her. She hadn’t said anything. He coughed lightly, trying to cover it up. “I’m sorry, did you say something?” Emily asked, looking at Edward. Edward shook his head slightly. Everyone was watching him. “But you did say something,” Emily said, being stubborn. “I think you were imagining it, Emily,” Seth said quietly. “No, I wasn’t. My hearing is better than you’d think.” Emily was getting ticked and definitely wasn’t dropping the subject. They obviously weren’t aware that her hearing improved tremendously when she became an animagus. Emily clutched her wand more tightly to her side, getting ready. She felt like something was about to happen. Edward abruptly looked at Alice. They locked eyes, except Alice looked like she was somewhere else. Edward’s eyes were staring at her in deep concentration. Everyone was looking at the two like they were waiting for news, but Emily just looked at them in confusion. Alice’s eyes went back to normal and she blinked once. “Woah,” she said. She looked at Edward once more before turning her eyes to Emily. Edward did the same. Everyone followed their example and started to stare at Emily. “You’re a witch,” Alice said. “Alice, don’t be mean. She hasn’t done anything to you, not yet anyway,” Seth said. He took a step forward and placed himself slightly in front of Emily. “Not like that, dog. I mean she’s a real witch,” Alice explained. Emily was like a deer in headlights for a half second. Seth turned to stare at her in wonder. She pulled out her wand quickly and pointed it in front of her. She started backing up. “How did you know? Who are you people?” Emily asked, her voice shaking slightly. She clutched her wand tighter, trying to keep her arm steady. *Dun, dun, dun. Let me know watchya think :) |
OMG!! Such a good post Emily!!! I love the Cullens and the werewolves so she is lucky to meet them. It's cool that they know she is a witch now! haha :P |
