Death has always been a part of me,
Death is the fear inside that never flees.
It never leaves me alone,
It would never go, it never could go.

This fear it lies in all of us,
In some strong and true,
But it's there, alright, without a doubt,
And it scares you through and through.

Death, the biggest mystery,
To the trained mind the next adventure.
The doomsday for all mankind,
The day of reckoning without recollection.

Judgement comes, down upon,
Death is not what is feared,
For I tell you now,
In spite of all the words,
The pwoer above is the fear.

T'is not death that scares us,
To our bones,
But what comes afterward,
What might threaten to take our souls underground,
Or condemn us all for our lives so foul.

So believe not,
When one says they fear death,
Because that is a lie.
Death is not to be feared,
The man behind, the man on high.

And those who fear not death,
Fear not the Lord our God,
And those I tell you now,
Are the ones who wont be forgot.

For he wants us not to feear him,
But to love, respect and care,
But how can he love us,
When some act as though he isn't even there?

So, next when you hear someone say,
They are scared to die,
Confront them and ask,
Is that truth or is it just a lie?

That was a really nice poem. I liked the theme. But, I'm left wanting a sequel because this one just seems like a part of the whole story.

Today is the fire,
Shake away the water,
I dont want to be cooled.

I'm falling faster down to him,
He's the only one who knows,
Why I have to Burn.
Dont cool me down,
Dont blow me out,
I need to submit to ash,
The blackness all around.

Catch an ember,
Slip it into a lapel,
Keep the heat inside of you.
Ask why it's there,
But no-one cares,
Burn me, through and through.

Cast out my sin,
Burn deep the wound,
Brand me with a stained knife.
Fly through the air,
And mark me now,
Dont water down my strife.

That was really good Emma. I don't really get all this poetry stuff (wrong side of the brain and all), but you do have a way with words. Beautifully done.
