Well this Chapter took me forever! Well maybe not forever but it sure is long!

Chapter 15
Hermione's POV
I woke up that morning with my body sore and a headache. I got out of bed and headed to the private bathroom just in case the one us Heads had to share was being used. I accioed my favorite muggle black and pink striped shirt with my favorite blue washed out jeans. These were one of those days that I was overly excited to be the Head Girl because us Heads decided that everyone could go to Hogsmede today and pick out the robes for the Masquerade/Talent Show ball instead of going to classes. I took my favorite purse and headed out my room.
I went to the kitchen in the Heads dormitory and made myself a peanut butter sandwich. I put it on a plate, sat down, and watched the T.V. Which I was so happy for that Professor McGonagall put a T.V. in here just for me. I was watching the muggle video High School Musical 3 when I didn't notice Ron coming in.
I jumped when Ron whispered into my ear,"That could be us." He said as I was watching the part when Troy and Gabriella sang Can I Have This Dance. Ron left the room and I threw the rest of my sandwich away. I headed down the trail to Hogsmede to find the perfect dress and outfit for the ball and talent show.
I first stopped at Gladrags Witches and Wizards Wear to find the outfit and dress for the ball. I passed by the socks area and found the same socks Harry gave Dobby a while ago as a present. I laughed to myself and continued to the back to first find a dress. It took about 2 hours but I found the perfect dress! It was red and it flowed down onto the ground. The shoes were high heels which looked like it had diamonds all over them. I thought I looked amazing but we will just have to see.
I went to the other side of the shop to find an outfit. It only took me about 30 minutes since I was only going to sing so I didn't need anything really special. Oh but it so was! I found a dress for me and Ginny. My dress was pink with a sparkly top underneath it and Ginny's dress was beige with a floral print on it. This outfit was going to go great with my singing I hope! I then went down 2 aisles to find a mask. I finally found the perfect one it was black with sparkles all around the sides of it. It would go perfect with my dress!
I went to the Three Broomsticks to get something to eat because I was hungry. I passed by the one and only Madam Puddifoot's. Where couples have dates and all. I glanced through the glass window to see Draco and Pansy snogging! How dare he! I'm his girlfriend! Actually no wait, seeing as he's snogging Pansy Parkinson, I could play at that game too. I stepped away from the window and continued walking into the Three Broomsticks. I saw Ron waving to me in the corner of my eye. I sat down with him and ordered my food from the lady.
"Hello Ronald." I said. He smiled and said, "Hermione, will you go to the ball with me?" I was caught off guard but seeing as Draco can snog Pansy when he's still dating me, I'd get him back for it. "Yes Ron I would love to go with you." I said. He smiled and continued, "So did you find a dress yet 'Mione?" "Oh yes, but you'll have too see it at the ball." I informed him. I finished eating, said goodbye to Ron, and headed back up to Hogwarts.
Harry's POV
I walked into Madam Puddifoot's waiting for Ginny to come. I looked around and saw Pansy and Draco snogging each other. Why are they doing that? Don't they know this is a tea shop? That's when I heard the bell ring from the door and waved Ginny to come sit with me. "Hello Harry! So what did you want to ask me?" Ginny said. "Oh, I was wondering if you...erm...you...me.....ball..no...erm..." I said. "Did you want to ask me if I wanted to come to the ball with you Harry?" She asked. I nodded and blushed deeply. "I would love to Harry! For a second there I thought you were going to dump me and go ask Cho." She said. I walked over to her and whispered in her ear, "I would never do that, love, for I love you so much." I could see her blushing and we walked out hand - in - hand.
As we both walked down the road Ginny said,"Oh Harry should we go looking for Draco, Ron, and Hermione?" "Oh actually no Ginny, before you came in actually I saw Draco. Also this morning Professor McGonagall informed me that Hermione, Ron, and Draco had to stay in one of the Inns here in Hogsmeade because the Head's dormitory was being cleaned." I said. "Oh well that makes sense." She said. I nodded and we walked back up into Hogwarts.
Hermione's POV
I walked into the Great Hall beside Ron. I felt a warm sensation in my hand, I looked down to find Ron's hand intertwined in mine. I smiled back up at him and led him to sit by me on the bench. We weren't officially together or anything but at least I could have this. Professor McGonagall just started to talk, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to have the Heads come up here please and announce who will be in the talent show." Draco, Ron, and I got up and Professor McGonagall handed us a piece of paper with names on it.
"Hello Everyone! Just to inform you that at the Masquerade Ball the Talent Show portion of it will be held at the beginning. So do not get dressed up in your ball gowns or tuxes yet. Wear muggle clothes, after the Talent Show, go back to your dormitory's and get ready for the ball which will be held 30 minutes after." I said. That's when Professor McGonagall whispered something in my ear, "Also, I said, we Heads will be dancing together so we will dance before you can finally take off your masks. There is also one important thing, It would be best to advise you not to get asked or to ask someone to this ball as it is supposed to be secret, that's why we have masks. Also due to Voldemort's return the ball will be held tomorrow night. Have a good sleep. Off you go!" I said.
Draco's POV
There were tons of people talking about the ball held tomorrow. I hope Herm-Granger see's that I'm with Pansy now. This is what she gets for going with Weasel-bee. Oh no! Here comes Pansy. "You looked very handsome standing up there Drakie!" Pansy said. "Don't call me that!" I said angrily. "Sorry" she said crying. I grabbed her around the shoulders and led her to the Slytherin common Room. We sat down on the couch and she fell asleep on my shoulder. I wish that was Herm-Granger. No! Stop it! You have Pansy! Pug-faced, no! Pansy! This was going to be a long night. I thought walking up the stairs leaving Pansy sleeping on the couch.
Ginny's POV
I woke up with a smile on my face. Today was the ball and the talent show. I get to perform with Hermione and I get to go to the ball with Harry. Actually I can't go to the ball with Harry because we can't have dates! Ughh! I guess I'll just have to search for him when I get there. I look at my alarm clock to see it's noon. I need to hurry to practice with Hermione! I got up quickly and looked over to my other roommates beds they were all empty. I threw on my blue shirt with some faded black jeans, brushed my hair, and rushed out of the dormitory going to the Room of Requirement to meet Hermione.
Hermione's POV
She's 10 minutes late! Where could she be? I thought as I waited for Ginny to come and practice with me. After 5 more minutes Ginny finally came through the door. "Sorry I'm late 'Mione, I overslept." she said. I laughed, went over to her, and straightened out her hair. "Okay well what song did you pick 'Mione?" she asked. "Oh it's by one of my favorite muggle band, The Veronicas. The song is called 4ever. I will be the lead singer while your the backup singer, is that okay Ginny?" I asked. "Yeah that's fine, I can't wait until tonight!" She said. "Me too, okay now with the song." I said.
4 Hours Later...
Hermione's POV
I only have 30 minutes left until the Talent Show! I took my shower, put my pink dress on with my diamond heels, and did some charms to tame my frizzy hair. I thought I looked pretty good but I knew that other people like Dra-I mean Malfoy will think I'm ugly. I walked down the stairs and out the Head's dormitory to the Gryffindor dormitory to meet Ginny. I walked in and saw her seated on the couch with the beige dress I found for her at the store. "So do you like the dress I got for you Ginny?" I asked.
She smiled and said,"Hermione I love it! It's absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much!" "It's not a problem Ginny, okay well we need to hurry especially me since I have to tell Ron and Draco to announce the talent show performers since I'm performing with you tonight." I said. She nodded and we hurried out of the Gryffindor Common Room into the Great Hall.
When we got into the Great Hall we were shocked. In the middle of the Great Hall was a huge stage with microphones, drums, guitars, speakers, and more. It looked like we were going to a muggle concert! This brings back tons of memories! Ginny and I walked over to Ron and I told him that he had to announce the talent show people. He nodded and said, "Good luck Gin and 'Mione." I was so nervous! We were about to perform in front of all the students at Hogwarts. Okay the Talent Show just started and we are next.
Pansy is singing right now and it's horrible but I really like her green dress! What am I thinking? It's Pansy we are talking about here! "'Mione? Who are the judges?" Ginny asked. I looked around the curtain and said," The judges are Cho, Luna, and Neville! They are all prefects!" Ginny hugged me and we heard Ron announce our names and the song," Here are Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley singing 4ever by the muggle band, The Veronicas." We took our places on stage and the music began to start.
3 minutes and 31 seconds later...
"Now for the judges." Ron said. The microphone was handed over to Cho first. "That was amazing! I loved your performance!" Cho said. "I love how you danced along with the song! Maybe the nargles weren't here today! I thought they were!" Luna said. "That was awesome! Great Job Ginny and Hermione." Neville said. I could barely remember anything they said, I was so nervous that I could only keep staring at Cho's dress which was a black and gold one. Very pretty. Ron' s voice suprised me. "After the last performance is over with we will announce the winner." Ron said. "The next people who are up are..erm..Crabbe and Goyle." Ron said confused. Everyone gasped and watched as Crabbe and Goyle performed their drum and guitar solo. It was actually pretty good. But then again this is Crabbe and Goyle we are talking about here!
"Alright that was the last performer. Now off to the runner ups and winners. Since there was only 3 performing acts there will only be one winner and one runner up not two." Ron said. Neville handed him the envelope and Ron opened it and said,"The runner up is....... Crabbe and Goyle!" The Slytherins were the only one to cheer for them. "Hermione, do you think we will have a chance to win? I mean we are against Pansy." Ginny asked me. "Ginny I hope we are going to win but I know we definetly have a chance." I said.
Ron got another envelope which was gold from Luna. "Alright now the winner of the talent show will get to have a trip to the United States on a shopping spree. Now the winner is......Hermione and Ginny!" Ron yelled. Everyone cheered even some of the Slytherins. Ginny and I walked onto the stage to get our flowers and the money for our shopping spree in the United States. We smiled and heard crying coming from outside of the Great Hall, of course it was Pansy. Professor McGonagall came up on stage and said in the microphone,"Congratulations Ladies! Now in 30 minutes you will be able to charm yourself to look like a different person, put on your masks, dresses, tuxes, and come back in here to the Masquerade Ball!" Everyone cheered and there was rustling to get out of the Great Hall as fast as possible.
While Ginny and I were walking down the halls I said a spell so her things would be already in my room so we could help each other. We got into the dormitory to find Draco already in his tux probably waiting for Pansy. As we walked by him I thought I heard him say Congratulations, but of course he wouldn't say that because he doesn't care about me anymore. We walked into my room and got in our dresses. "Ginny! I love your blue dress! It's so pretty!" I said. She finally turned around from the mirror and stared at me with her mouth open. "Ginny? What? Do I look awful?" I asked. "Awful? hahahaha! Hermione you look gorgeous! Okay well now we have to do the charms!" She said. I hugged her and we started to do the charms. I colored my hair black with tons of curls and put it up. I then colored my eyes from brown to blue. Then I saw Ginny color her hair blonde with brown eyes.
"Okay let's go Gin!" I said. We walked hand-in-hand down the stairs and to the Great Hall once again. We went in the line to go down the stairs that will have a light shining on us. Ginny was in front of me and a red haired girl was behind me. Ginny and I came to the stairs and she said," Here we go!" I nodded and squeezed her shoulder friendly. She walked down smiling in her blue dress with the light shining on her. Then it was my turn. I started down the stairs and looked up. All the boys had their mouths hanging open and some of them had drool hanging out of them. Well at least I know the charms worked. Those boys would never do that if they knew it was just regular Hermione Granger. I sighed and walked over to a table and sat down. Tonight was going to be long.
I took a sip of my butterbeer and looked around to see if I noticed anybody. Someone then patted me on my shoulder. "May I have this dance, beautiful lady?" he asked. I nodded and took his hand to the dance floor. It was a slow song and we were dancing. "So who do I owe the pleasure?" he asked. "Oh I would never say." I said. He smiled and said,"Oh so you like to play games?"
"No, I do not but I will let you guess who I am mystery man." I said. He smirked. Wait where have I seen that smirk from? Hmmm... "Okay well what house are you in?" he asked. "Gryffindor, what about you?" I asked. "Slytherin, but at least you haven't ran yet." I smiled and felt a tap on my shoulder. "May I dance with this stunning beauty?" he asked talking to the other guy. The person I was dancing with kissed my hand and whispered in my ear," I would like a dance later on miss." I nodded and headed over to the other person.
"You look very gorgeous miss." he said. I smiled and said, " Thank you." He nodded and smiled. Then the music changed to a fast paced song. We started dancing crazily and I had to hold my dress up from tripping on it. I tried to figure out who I was dancing with but I couldn't figure it out. The song ended and there was only 30 minutes left until midnight. I had to dance with the other guy I was dancing with before. But there was too many of guys I couldn't find him. Before I could say goodbye to the other person I was dancing with he said, "I will be watching you Her-minn-y." I gasped and could only think of one person Viktor Krum.
I ran away from him and he left the Great Hall. I was in a corner when the guy I was dancing with before came up to me and said,"May I have another dance?" I nodded and he led me to the floor one time. Right before we could start dancing though everyone was split up from a charm Professor McGonagall used. I couldn't see the guy anymore. "Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to have the Heads up here to dance before we have the charms lifted." Professor McGonagall said.
I lifted up my dress and walked over to the stage to find the guy I was dancing with and another guy I never danced with. I gasped. The person I was dancing with before was Malfoy! "Now Miss Granger and Mr. Weasley will be dancing first." Professor McGonagall said. Ron and I went to the middle of the dance floor and everyone made a circle around us. He placed his hand on my waist and his other in my hand. Then the music began. I couldn't help but think of the next song where I had to dance with Draco. "Hermione, you look beautiful tonight." Ron said. I smiled and he gave me a quick peck on the lips and before the music stopped he accidentally stepped on my toe. My foot hurt like crazy! "Sorry Hermione!" Ron said. I smiled sympathetically to him and Draco made his way down to me.
The song started and I tried to look somewhere else then his eyes. I could tell he was staring at me. I took one glance at him and he put his hand under my chin. "What do you want Malfoy?" I asked. "Granger, we are supposed to be dancing not looking somewhere else at the same time!" He said. "Malfoy, I saw you." I said. "What do you mean Granger?" He asked. "I saw you snogging Pansy in Madam Puddifoot's!" I said. He winced and said,"Well since you finally are with Weasel-bee I thought that it wouldn't matter since you love him and all." A tear came out and he wiped it away with his thumb. The rest of the song was with silence from the both of us.
"Alright now that the Head dances are over, we need 5 people from each house to come up here to let everyone see who they really are." Professor McGonagall said. After about 5 groups went, I decided to go up there in group 6. I stood up there and I could see all the boys eyes fixed on me to find out who I really was. Apparently they didn't remember that I was Head Girl. Professor McGonagall said the spell and I heard gasps all around. I heard people mutter "Granger! No! It can't be! But it is!" I then grabbed Ginny's hand who already had the charms lifted off of her and we went to the Head's common room.

In Chapter 16 Ginny will tell her story of the ball, but the whole chapter won't be all about that though.

Well in this chapter (Chapter 15) I did it mostly from Hermione's POV. So in Chapter 16 I'm going to have Ginny and Harry be in it more (Chapter 16).
