Chapter 7: Kisses Don't Lie- Rihanna*
It was time for my nightly patrols. I hate the dark. I really do, because even with my wand lighted, I can only see my surroundings. Not behing me and ahead of me. Plus the fact that this castle is too big for anyone's good. As I walked down the steps to the Entrance Hall, I heard some footsteps. Did Malfoy commit to his Head Boy position (finally) and maintain his duties? It turned out to be some Ravenclaw prefect. I forgot that they patrolled at night. The girl looked up at me and quickley scurried past. I guess I'm not the only one afraid of the dark.

I wandered around the Hall and jumped when I saw myself in an over-sized mirror. I smirked at my jumpy behavior. I fixed my hair and wiped away some excess makeup. When I turned around I heard soft voiced drift out from the dungeons. They say curiousity killed the cat, so I let my curiousity get ahold of me and I walked quietly into the dungeons. The door wasn't all the way shut.

I pushed it only a tad more open and saw two people talking softly. One was a girl (a brunette) and the other a boy (a very blonde one). Grr...Draco..

"I wish you were still in the Slytherin dungeons, Draco. It would make things so much easier between us," The girl said. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

So this is what he's been doing?! That stupid git. He ran off to be with this slimey freak. And now I'm going to kick them out. But then Draco spoke which stopped me from moving anymore.

"Serena, I almost didn't come back to Hogwarts this year. But I'm sure glad I did," Draco said smoothly. He pulled her closer to him.

"So, I hear you're an excellent kisser. But, that's how rumour has it."

Merlin, I almost threw up in my mouth. But that didn't stop me from keeping my eyes on them.

Draco laughed softly and guided her so her back was against the wall. "Well let me make those rumours right."

Draco bent his head down a little and kissed her lips. I just watched them get at it to the point where I was so mad that I was.....jealous? I slammed the door shut hard (I didn't care if I was heard) and ran up to our tower.

And as I was frustratedly changing into my pajamas, I knew what I had to do. Some way, somehow, I had to make him jealous.

Kisses don't, no they don't, never, don't lie. You can run if you want but you can't hide.

*I told myself that I wouldn't do more then one set of lyrics by the same artist. But this song fit perfectly. And I like it. Enjoy!

Loved your last update. Don't worry about the lyrics, use whatever works and it always helps if you like them... I hate both of them, I call which ever one Draco falls in love with... hehe *grins evil grin*

Chapter 8: When You're Mad - Ne-Yo
Damn, Serena was pretty amazing. I feel like giving Blaise an award of some kind. As I walked up the staircase steps to the Portrait to our Head dorm, something was nagging me at the back of my mind. Was it the fact that I blew off my patrolling job? Psh, no. I've done things like that all my life - and worse too. Okay, yes I'm avoiding the fact that when I pulled away from Serena, I saw Hermione's head where Serena's once was. I almost screamed, but shook my head and Serena was back together again.

As I stepped through the Portrait Hole, Hermione was in her pajamas reading a book on the couch. I went over and sat down right next to her."Eh - Hermione?"

"Draco." She greeted me.

"I'm - I'm sorry I didn't patrol tonight...I was busy-" She interrupted me.

"Busy snogging girls, Draco?" She looked up from her book.

Wait..when did we start using first names?? "How did you -" I asked. And HOW did she know?

"If you can't handle this position, why don't just go and tell McGonnagall you quit!" She shouted at me. We were both on our feet.

"Well that's just what you want, isn't it? To get me out. But no. You can't get rid of me THAT easily, Hermione. Draco Malfoy is NOT a quitter."

"Oh don't try and turn the tables on ME, Draco! Remember that little talk we had? It's very VAGUE to me...Oh yeah! I think you were telling me not to make YOU look bad...Hah, look at yourself! Not being commited Draco could look bad on MY part. And Hermione Jane Granger cannot AFFORD to look BAD before she GRADUATES!!" She yelled at me.

I couldn't help thinking this now and time and place, but she's really cute when she's mad. She crosses her arms and her eyes get fierce.

"WHAT! ARE! YOU! STARING! AT!" She yelled at me. I snickered.

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Hermione stomped her foot.

"I just-" She interrupted me again. God, I let NO ONE get a word past me first.

"You were just bidding me a goodnight. Well, GOODNIGHT!" She pushed past me to retrieve her book and she ran upstairs.

That was the cutest thing ever. Oh God. Why am I thinking that? I am clearly tired and I need to sleep. Yeah, that's it....I hope..

Haha that was nice. What happened to making him jealous...she kinda lost her cool there. Still funny though. ANd that totally happens all the time...cuz you know you are like this is what i'm going to do and its going to be awesome and i'm going be like "thats right, dont be a jerk" but then you just get flustered and hormones take over.

Chapter 9: Enough Cryin' - Mary J. Blige*

Honestly. I need to get a hold on myself. Merlin, me, crying over Malfoy? I sound truly not myself and overly-pathetic. Pansy Parkinson cries over Malfoy, not Hermione Granger. When I was done yelling at him I ran upstairs and started crying. I really don't know why. Okay that's a lie; I DO know why. And it's a vile, disturbing, and repulsive reason, too. And I will just PUSH that reason from my mind.

So. I'm just eating breakfast, trying to forget about it all, but when you're telling yourself to forget, you think about what you're trying to forget and it makes you remember so all reason for trying to forget is lost. Oh Lord.

"Hermione...are you okay?" Harry asked me. Apparently I was about to put food into my mouth but the food never got there. What a sight I must be.

"OH! Yes Harry! I'm just fine. I'm just DANDY as some would put it. Never, never, better!" I said with overly-enthusiastic sarcasm.

Ron and Harry exchanged confused looks and shrugged.

"Ready for first day classes?" Harry asked me.

"More then you think," I answered truthfully. This will definitley take my mind off things.

When I got into Potions (Harry and Ron literally had to pull me into the Dungeons when I realized that the Slytherins were going to be in there), I sat as far as I could from Malfoy. But that didn't work because he kept looking back at me while Snape was giving instructions.

"Mr. Malfoy. Who, might I ask, are you looking at back there? It clearly can't be-" Snape stopped midsentence and looked at me. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? I barely recognized you, Miss Granger. I'm surprised. You're old appearance fit you well. It was just right for a scheming know-it-all."

Slytherin insults were really getting old. I was done crying. I let my eyes drift to Malfoy. He was staring at me, and when he noticed me looking back, his eyebrows shot up. I wasn't going to let him get what he wanted so my eyes diverted from him. Everyone was still staring at me. In front of me, Seamus grinned. I returned the grin bigger then I intended, but that was only becuse I saw Malfoy frusturatedly push himself forward in his chair and turn around.

As Snape droned on in class, instructing us on what to put in our potion, Malfoy turned around again. Ron leaned in and whispered, "Honestly, why does that creep looking back here? If he keeps this up, I'm gonna make it so he doesn't have eyes to look back here with."

"Oh don't be silly Ronald. He isn't looking at us.." Haha, I wish that were true.

"Sure doesn't seem like it. What's going on between you two?"

"The same thing that's been going on for the 7 years we've been here," I said. Yet again, I wish that was true.

Ron studied my face, shrugged, and then went back to his work.

After class, Malfoy almost caught up with me when Seamus pulled me aside.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked him. I could see Malfoy closely behind us, apparently eavsdropping. What a sneak.

"Do you think can help - no that's lame. You wanna hang out tonight?" He looked up from his feet.

Oh my gosh! Perfect time for revenge! But that would be terrible to use Seamus like that. He's so nice. Truthfully, I can get something out of this..Maybe a boyfriend for all the right reasons. So, I'll do it for a date AND revenge.

"Yeah, of course!" And for full effect, I gave him a hug. Malfoy's eyes mouth dropped. He looked mad.

I've done enough cryin, cryin, cryin. It's time to say bye, bye, bye. It's time I do somethin for me.

Yay! No more cliffie on wondering how she's gonna get revenge! I agree with the lyrics, they went well with the message the post got out to us and to Draco. So is he gonna get back with that Slytherin chick as his revenge or is he gonna come to his senses and pluck up some courage? PAMS! ~Shannon
