Chapter 10, Not Even the Stars and the Moon

The weeks went by so fast, that I couldn’t believe the talent show was in 5 days! But I had done something I never thought I would, never thought I would say those seven words. “Harry, I think we should break up” I said sadly to him. “What? Why?” he asked, hurt in his voice. “That’s because being near you is distracting me and I have to get ready for the talent show and O.W.L.S. “I said. “Oh ok we’ll I’ll see you later” I got up from the Gryffindor Table and walked out the doors into the halls. I heard someone follow and I turned and saw Ginny. “Hermione, tell me the truth. You didn’t break up with the person you love most because of some talent show and O.W.L.S.” she asked me knowingly. “The truth is that my feelings for Harry scared me to death. Every time I looked at him or he was near me, my heart would pound painfully in my chest. I hated being away from him and I guess I didn’t want to get hurt so I ended it. Even though I know I can never live without him. How is it that someone as smart like me can be so stupid?” I asked her, with tears streaming down my face. “It’ll be ok Hermione” she said and hugged me. “He’ll take you back if you ask him” “I can’t Ginny, I just can’t” I said and broke the hug. “There’s something else too” Ginny said, avoiding my eye. “What?” “Before I came after you I saw Cho ask Harry to go to Hogsmeade with her today” “Course, he’s been single for a minute and he’s already been asked out” I muttered sadly. “Come on, we have to go to get some more gold silk for your outfit” I followed her and we went and got my gold silk. We got butterbeer and candy of course and we spied on Harry and Cho and I was sad to note that they were laughing and having a good time.

We left and went to work on my outfit for the show. Those five days before the show were awful, I avoided Harry’s eye whenever I could and we barely spoke. I practiced with Ginny one last time before the show. I got on my outfit which was a gold silk halter top with a denim jacket and a pair of blue jeans with gold sewed to the side. I put my hair in a messy bun and waited for my time to sing. I didn’t notice whenever someone would go on and do their act, I was seriously distracted. I was the last because I requested it, I found out before the show that their will be a winner announced and they would get some kind of trophy. Goodie. When it was finally my turn, I got up and walked out to everyone. People started clapping, as they did for all of the contestants. I spotted Ginny, Ron and Harry straight away. They were sitting together and Cho was next to him. Ginny smiled at me and I smiled back. “This is to the boy who stole my heart and how he makes me feel. This song is called “That’s Where It Is “by muggle singer Carrie Underwood” I spoke before the music background came on.

The applause was deafing. The whole time, I kept my eye on Harry to let him know it was about him.” Now everyone vote!” Dumbledore said cheerfully. I walked backstage and got a drink of water. I was proud of myself, I did it, I actually sang in front of the whole Hogwarts population. “Hermione” said a voice behind me but I didn’t need to turn to know who it was. I turned and looked Harry right in the eye. “I’m so confused Hermione, you have to explain this to me. Why did you break up with me if you loved me?” he asked with confusion in his eyes. “Harry, I do love you, I never stopped. But the truth is that my feelings for you scared me, I thought about you constantly and feared that I would lose you but then I lost you because of my stupidity” I said and looked down with tears in my eyes. “Hermione” he said and brought my face to his” Love is about crazy things and scary things but you just can’t let it go because of it. “He said wisely. “But you’re with Cho” I asked. “No were not. I told her that I still loved you and she understood. Ok actually she slapped me and then told me she understood” he said and I laughed. “I love you””I love you too” and we kissed.

All of the feelings came back and I believed that the risk of being with Harry was the best thing to do, for both of u. “Their announcing the winners!” I said excited. “I’ll be in the crowd” he said and left my side. “Hermione Granger!” my jaw dropped and I thought I was dreaming, until I pinched myself. It’s real alright! I walked onto the stage and everyone applauded and screamed. Dumbledore handed me the trophy which had a girl singing with a wand on it.”Speech, Speech!” they all yelled. I went to the wand/microphone. “Thank you so much guys this is such an honor! I couldn’t have done this without the support of my friends, Ginny Weasley and Ron Weasley. But I especially couldn’t have done this without my boyfriend, Harry Potter. He taught me to take risks because they end up making life worth wild. Oh yeah and Ginny, thanks so much for helping me with preparations for this show!” everyone clapped and the hall emptied out. I met up with Harry, Ginny and Ron minutes later. “Ha told you, you two would get back together!” Ginny said happily. “You thanked us on stage! How sweet!” Ron said in a fake girly voice. I just smiled. Life was awesome, all through out the day people were patting me on the back and telling me I was an amazing singer. It was great nothing could bring me down not even the stars and the moon.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I didn't know Hermy could sing! POST!

I know I have been gone for a week or so, but I've enjoyed reading all of your wonderful, long posts! PAMS!

Chapter 11, Couldn’t Make A Good Title, So I Made This the Title
The next few days were like when Malfoy was obsessed with me. I wasn’t being stalked but I was getting love letters, been asked out and even had a marriage proposal(by a first year…).Harry had said that he wasn’t going to allow me to wear silk, he was joking of course. I couldn’t wait until we went to Grimmaulds Place. When we were there we had tons and tons of fun. Christmas dinner was a lot of fun, the Weasleys were there, Lupin.Tonks, Mad Eye and a few other Order members.

I hoped that all of the obsessed love struck teenagers would get over their weird crush over me and thank god that happened. When we all got back to school, I was treated like a know it all, which I was happy to be treated that way.

We were getting loads and loads of homework that even I was having a hard time keeping up. I had to practically hit Harry and Ron over the head with a broomstick to not keep it all at the last minute. Though, I didn’t always have to with Harry cause I could just threaten not to kiss him for weeks at a time if he didn’t do his homework. I’ve gotten used to the way I love Harry. The love that you can’t stop thinking about for even a second. I loved Harry with all my heart and couldn’t imagine losing him. Sometimes I wonder if he’s too good to be true, but he honestly isn’t. I’m glad I was friends with him before I feel in love with him or I would think he was too good to be true.

Minus the homework, I was freaking out about O.W.L.S., which were only months away, four ½ months away. To other people, this would seem forever but to me it seemed like it was right around the corner. I didn’t know exactly what I want to be, a professor or an Unspeakable or even an Auror. I’m just going to study all of my subjects so I can have different choices. I started studying when I found out when the tests were going to be.

Two months went by and now everybody was studying for their O.W.L.S. or their N.E.W.T.S. . The common room was extremely quiet, thanks to Fred and George who threaten anybody who disturbed the common room, to turn them into a watch. It surprised me how much they cared about school. Their was only 1 ½ months until O.W.L.S., Harry, Ron and I were studying whenever we could, which was a lot . Since the teachers we giving us a whole lot of study periods, I felt prepared unlike Ronny and Harry. Even thought I felt prepared, I feared that I would fail which Harry and Ron said would never happen. O.W.L.S., here I come!

Ok everybody last post of my first ever ended story! Be very proud of me!
Chapter 12, No Matter What
OWLs were in a matter of days. I’ve never seen the student body so focused and studying so hard. Studying and O.W.L.S. were the only things on anybody’s mind, as it should be. Studying, I was even getting sick of memorizing the same thing over and over again.

When O.W.L.S. finally came, I was ready. Day after day, I took one of the most important tests of Hogwarts. I kept thinking that I was going to fail but I knew I couldn’t, I’ve been studying and working so hard. Little did I know that one of the most tragic times in all of our lives were days away.

I woke up seeing the boring white color of the walls of the Hospital Wing. All of the memories of last night overwhelmed me, being in the Department of Mysteries. We all had to fight Death Eaters and Harry even had to see Voldermort again, but the worse thing is the Sirius died. One more loved one dead because of Voldermort and his Death Eaters. I got up and looked at Harry, who was sitting up, not realizing the world around him was going on. “Harry?” I whispered and he turned to me, giving a weak smile and walking to sit on my bed. “Are you ok?””No, I’m not, Hermione!” he said loudly, getting off my bed. “That’s another person dead because of me! Anyone who cares about me is going to wind up dead! I don’t think we should be together anymore, I don’t want you to get hurt, at least more than you already have” he said, angrily and putting his face to his hands. He sobbed quietly, and I went over and held him close to me, tears flowing through my eyes. “Harry, I don’t care about being hurt, I’m there for you till the end, no matter what. “ I said, looking him in the eye. “If I get hurt or even die, at least I will have been with you and experienced the world.” He smiled at me and I kissed him.

The next few days were the hardest, not just for Harry but for all of us. Harry lost the last person who was like a father figure to him. People were looking at us, whispering things like “They had to fight Death Eaters” or “Were in the Department of Mysteries!” We were getting used to it; it had been in the Daily Prophet.

We laughed and ate on the train back home, Harry was going to forever be changed. We all knew that, he was going to want revenge for Sirius’s death. Even with the weight of having to kill Voldermort, Sirius’s death and having to go back to the Dursleys, he was still slightly cheerful. At the station, I gave him a passionate kiss and hugged him goodbye whispering” No matter what” in his ear.

Hoped you enjoyed reading Impossible Love as much as I did writing it! Nobody be disappointed about it ending! I'm going to make a sequel called Love Everlasting and its going to be during their 7th year!I have tons of ideas already for it!
