Great post!
so sad for Ginny, being put in the middle i feel so sorry for her. it's not totaly right but i can't wait to see how the ball goes. your writing just drags me in and in. love it.

:The dream of the ball was more like a nightmare:
The ball came all too quickly. Ginny had been waiting for it to come, up until Harry came. Then she had been wishing it to stay a month away, because Harry would still go, and see her dancing with Draco and Ginny was certain he would start a scene. She could picture it:
There Ginny would be, in her gorgeous strapless lavendar dress that Draco had bought her, and she would be dancing with him. All would seem perfect, she would forget about Harry, everything was perfect with Draco. Then Harry would spot them, seeing that he had been passed over for his second, and now first, greatest enemy. ‘DRACO?!’ he would yell, ‘YOU PASSED ME OVER FOR DRACO?!’ Ginny would blush, embarrassed at the scene that was being caused. Draco would look at her and say, ‘You didn’t tell him it was me?’ and then look at Harry, still ready to defend Ginny, ‘Yes, she did,’ he would say calmly. Harry would push through any crowd and shove Draco, and Draco would shove back. They’d forget all about magic, and start a muggle fight, right in the center of the floor, all because of Ginny. She would break down crying, and they’d both try to calm her, but it wouldn’t do any good.
Ginny wasn’t sure how it would end, but the dream of the ball was more like a nightmare. She couldn’t go. That was it. She’d avoid the problem by not going. Draco wouldn’t mind. Since when did he care about school-sponsered events anyways?
“Draco!” she finally found him.
“Hey. You tell him?” he asked right away. Ginny nodded.
“How about we don’t go?” she asked quickly.
“What?” Draco asked, seemingly hurt. Honestly, when did he start to care?! Ginny hadn’t meant to hurt him.
“You know… we could go for, er, a walk around the lake or something.”
“You didn’t tell him.” Draco accused her,
“I told him I couldn’t go with him… I just didn’t tell him it was because of you.”
“Ginny, if you’re too afraid to tell him… if you’re embarrassed of me or something, I don’t think I can stay with you.” he said, and she burst out in tears.
“Gin…” he came over to her side. Even if he broke up with her he would always love Ginny.
“I-I’m not embarrassed! I just don’t want him to h-hurt you! I love you!” Ginny sobbed.
“He won’t hurt me,” Draco whispered in her ear consolingly.
“P-promise?” she sniffed.
“Promise.” He said, smiling over the fact she was beginning to smile.
“So we’ll go?” he offered and she nodded, still sniffling a little.
Ginny couldn’t help it though, she was worried. After all, Harry had defeated the most powerful wizard in the whole wizarding world.
Ginny went back to her dormitory and took out the dress. She held it up to herself and looked in the mirror with a sigh. The ball was only a few days away. She loved Draco, but she also loved Harry and she hated hurting him like she so obviously was. Poor thing, he had defeated Voldemort and come back… all for her and she left him hanging. It made her feel extremely guilty.
It was true though, Harry had broken up with her. She never promised to wait for him. It was perfectly legitimate for her to move on. And Draco was there. Why was this so hard? She had finalized the details and everything… but she was still feeling horrible. Why does he do this to me?

Brilliant!

This rocks . Harry is being an obsses guy...truly Draco is a good guy Ginny is bringing out the good in him. I would be scared if my ex was stronger and could kill me current bf...Draco you better learn martial arts...

OMG! i absolutly love your story! i personally like the whole H/G thing but i really can see why she chose Draco. i think that in this cents...*sighs*...harry should back off. owie. it kinda hurt to say that. but HARRY did break up with GINNY. oiy...im so confused! well anyway...i just wanted to say that i cant wait till your next post! oh by the way...i started reading at 7:30 and its now 9:30...thats how much i love your story!

:Look what you did!:
It was the night of the ball. Ginny put on her strapless lavendar ball gown and adjusted it as she looked in the mirror. She put on makeup and brushed her hair, still incredibly nervous. Using her wand she did up her hair, curling it and placing each curl into a piece of a bun. It looked amazing, she just didn’t look happy. As she was finishing putting on her lipstick someone knocked on the dormitory door.
“Yes?” Ginny called sullenly.
“Someone’s here for you,” a girl’s voice called back. With a sigh, Ginny grabbed a little purple bag and slipped on her shoes. She opened the door and walked down the steps. Everything seemed to be dream-like.
“Hey,” Draco said softly as she opened the door.
“’Lo.” She said gloomily nodding her head.
“You don’t look happy,” he noted, tilting her chin up with his thin hands. Ginny faked a smile. Draco smiled softly and rolled his eyes.
“Ginny…”
“I’m sorry, I’m still worried. We’ll have fun though. I just need to get down there and my worries will be over,” she promised. Of course… she was wrong though.
When Ginny walked in Draco pulled her right to the dance floor and they began with a slow dance. She had begun to let go of all fears, maybe Harry wouldn’t even show up. Then Draco spun her and…
“Harry?” Well, he had gotten over with her fast! Not only had he brought another girl and was dancing with her… he was snogging her! Right in the middle of the dance floor. Who was the girl though?
Pansy Parkinson?! Was this a sad attempt to make her jealous? Because if it was… it was absolutely working. She was furious.
“Harry James Potter!” she yelled and he pulled his head up to look at her angrily.
“Ginerva.” He commented and she was fuming.
“You sure got over me fast.” She commented.
“What do you care?” Harry asked.
“Yeah, what do you care? Leave them.” Draco pulled her arm. She shouldn’t be getting this jealous. She was with Draco. What did she care about Harry anyways? That was it. She didn’t understand it. Ginny pulled away from Draco and turned away from Harry, and ran. She ran right out of the building all the way to the lake. There she plopped on the ground and cried.
“Look what you did!” Harry and Draco both yelled at each other. The both started to go after her, but Pansy grabbed Harry’s arm.
“Harry, leave her. She doesn’t want you anyways.” And he didn’t go. Draco huffed at them, and ran after Ginny. She was sobbing sitting on the ground.
“Now, now, you’re going to ruin your dress and THAT would be unfortunate. I know it was expensive.” Draco smiled slyly and sat next to her.
“Where’s Harry?” she asked, genuinely surprised. Draco pouted and answered a little crossly,
“What… no hello Draco? Just where’s Harry? You must still be in love with him…” how could he think she wouldn’t be? Draco got up and started to walk away.
“Wait,” she said. And he waited, but she knew he wouldn’t wait forever.

:She was right:
There was silence for a little while. Draco stood, watching Ginny as she wiped the last of her tears away. She continued to think, and she looked at the water.
“I’m not still in love with him.” She said. Draco was about to comment, but Ginny held up her hand, instructing him to let her finish.
“I found out that it’s you I love. You that knows me. You knew I’d be here. Without you, even if Harry had wanted to- he wouldn’t know where to find me. You know me. You’re the one that’s been here. You’re here for me.” She looked up at Draco with pleading eyes. And with those words, Draco extended his hand. Ginny took it and he pulled her up and kissed her. And Ginny knew that she was right. She loved Draco. And Draco was there for her. She was right.

*cry's* that's so sweet. i love it so good and the story was so good and i thinkit was a great thing glad i started reading it from the get-go. It was good from the get-go and now it ended and was sweet and good.
