:I’m always ready to go shopping:
“Gin, wake up,” someone was waking Ginny awake… but she had only been asleep for five minutes! She opened her eye. A very cute someone was waking her up…
“Draco!” she squealed, pulling the covers over herself. Ginny did not look the best first thing in the morning, Draco just didn’t know he hadn’t seen her until she had undergone several transformations to herself. Ginny pulled covers over her head.
“I’ll be down in a minute,” she mumbled. Draco laughed at her.
“Of course, princess.” He picked up a pillow and hit her with it playfully. Once she heard the door close behind him, Ginny got out from under the covers and hurried to dress, brush her hair, do make-up, and ran downstairs.
“Hi…” she said, breathing heavily. Draco had eaten and was ready by now, he had been for a while she could tell.
“Sorry,” she mumbled, still breathless.
“it’s alright,” Draco said smiling at her, as long as she didn’t bring up the kiss anyways…
“Ready to go? I thought we’d Floo.” Ginny nodded her head at the suggestion. Draco lead Ginny to one of the many fireplaces in his house, this was the only one that Floo’d though. Ginny took a bit of the Floo powder.
“Diagon Alley!” she said clearly once the fire turned green. After stepping into the fireplace she found herself a second later being thrown into a new fireplace. She stepped out, covered with dust. A few seconds behind her, Draco stepped off the hearth of the fireplace, dusting the ashes off himself.
“Ready to go shopping?” he asked. Ginny nodded,
“I’m always ready to go shopping. Oh, and I know a great little dress place,” she told him.
“Great, then lets get this over with,” he said. Ginny rolled her eyes.
“You offered,” she reminded him. Draco nodded.
“You’re right, I did.” Ginny took his hand, bringing him down the street to a little dress place, Darla’s Dressery.
A bell tinkled as Ginny opened the door and walked in. Oh this was humiliating for Draco. There were some older girls in there trying on wedding gowns, but no girls Ginny’s age, and no boys at all.
“Can I help you?” A saleswoman asked, obviously not thinking they’d have enough money to pay for any gown in the store.
“Yes, you can,” Draco said confidently, it was obvious that he was used to people underrating how much money he had.
“With what?” the woman asked, her nose wrinkling.
“She’s buying a dress,” Draco told the saleswoman factually. She seemed to finally believe him.
“Well, then, what can I help you with?” she asked.
“Um, I need two, um, dresses. One for, uh, Christmas,and one, uhm, for a spring affair,” Ginny was nervous and stuttering as she spoke. The saleswoman nodded.
“Winter colors and styles are over here,” the saleswoman led Ginny to a wall full of racks, Draco sat down on a chair near the front of the store. There were so many dresses! Long sleeve, short sleeve, tank top sleeves, sleeveless, halter top… all different colors. Ginny finally found one.
It was a long sleeve off-the-shoulder dark emerald green velvet dress. The saleswoman, Linda, had Ginny try it on. Draco looked up as she came out of the dressing room, his jaw fell open as he gaped her, she was gorgeous. Ginny blushed, then smiled at him.
“What’d you think?” she asked, going up to him and spinning around slowly. The dress was long and slunk to her ankles. The material clung to her body making her look just perfectly right.
“Uh… wow, I mean… wow, er, I meant, gorgeous. It looks, er, amazing. Fabulous,” he told her. Ginny giggled.
“Thanks,” she said, kissing his cheek, and going back to Linda, the shopkeeper.
“It looks great on you!” she encouraged.
“Let me change back,” Ginny suggested. Linda agreed and Ginny changed back into her street clothes.
“Let’s go look at some spring and summer dresses,” Linda proposed. Ginny nodded.

“No, no, no, no…” it had been so much easier to find a winter dress. The thing had just popped out at her. The spring and summer dresses just… didn’t. They were gorgeous, but nothing really stood out to Ginny. They were all just… pretty, nothing special. She was still flipping through hundreds of dresses forty-five minutes later. Draco yawned from his seat. Then finally she saw it. The dress seemed to actually glow, ok, well, maybe not glow, but it was certainly gorgeous. The dress was lavendar and was strapless. The dress went to her ankles, like the other dress, but was nothing the same. It poofed a little and while the winter dress made Ginny look elegant, this dress made her look like a princess. The back was mostly open, with the exception of two rows of beads and the front was decorated with sparkles and rhinestones. The whole thing pretty much glittered.
“Are you going to try that on, miss?” Linda asked. Ginny nodded yes, but it didn’t matter. She had to buy that dress. She went into the dressing room poor girl, Ginny Weasley, and came out Princess Ginny in the dress. She looked gorgeous. Draco thought his jaw had dropped before… well, it was nothing compared to how low it was now. He thought he’d have to pick it up off the floor.
“You look… fantastic,” he was so stunned this time he didn’t stutter. She did look fabulous.
“Thanks,” Ginny was grinning. She never felt better.
“Ready to go?” Draco asked her, not able to keep his eyes off the girl, and she was ready to go. She changed back into her street clothes again and held the dresses. They were so gorgeous, and Draco was going to buy them for her. She never thought she’d own dresses this beautiful in her whole life, it was beyond her dreams. Even though this was all true, all she could muster was a simple, embarrassed,
“Thank you.” Draco smiled at Ginny and kissed the top of her head.
“No problem,” he whispered softly in her ear. Ginny smiled. She knew it was only a matter of time until he would ask her, but she still wasn’t sure what she’d say.
There were so many things to consider, Harry, Draco and her friendship, how he was her only friend and what if they blew it? Luckily she didn’t have to worry about it just yet, but time was growing shorter on the issue. She knew it, and she liked him. She liked Draco, and she wasn’t sure how long she could resist him if she wanted to.
It wasn’t time yet though. Even though Ginny found herself often thinking about Draco even when he wasn’t, she’d push him out of her mind by reminding herself it wasn’t time. Not yet.
“Ginny? Gin-“
“Hm?” Ginny looked up at Draco who was staring at her. He had obviously been calling her name for a while.
“Sorry,” she appologized, “day-dreaming.” Draco only nodded at her.
“Better get back to the Manor,” he told her. She nodded in agreement.
“Thanks again, for the dresses,” she said, looking at Draco holding them. A classy winter dress, and an elegant spring dress, Ginny couldn’t wait to tell her mother! Oh, but she couldn’t, she’d make Ginny return them. Of course, Mrs. Weasley would see the dresses eventually, but she didn’t have to know from when, where, and especially who. Mrs. Weasley thought Ginny was still at Hogwarts this vacation after all.
Ginny longed to be at Hogwarts, it’d make things so much easier again. Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione had never been this hard.

“Miss Weasley, it’s breakfast time... miss?” A servant had been sent up to wake up Ginny on Christmas morning- just so Draco didn’t get yelled at again. Ginny did wake up, and started got her brush, the maid stayed in the doorway. As Ginny tried to leave, still in her pajamas as usual.
“Miss, aren’t you going to get dressed?”
“I don’t generally in the mornings,” Ginny said, yawning.
“Well, miss, the master is, today. He requested your dressing for breakfast as well,”
“Oh? Al-alright…” Ginny was slightly confused, but she found a cute black skirt and tight fitting black t-shirt along with some black pump shoes. After brushing her hair through again, she went downstairs.
“Morning,” she said lazily sitting down with a yawn.
“Morning,” he replied, pouring milk into a bowl of cereal. Ginny looked up from her own breakfast and studied him. Draco wore black slacks a dark green sweater. She hadn’t seen his shoes, but she was sure they were just as nice… something was up.
“You’re dressed.” She stated. Ginny had meant to say ‘you’re dressed nicely’ but didn’t managed to finish her sentence. Draco looked up and laughed at her.
“I do tend to enjoy clothing,” he told her, smiling slyly. Ginny rolled her eyes.
“You’re dressed nicely,” she added. Draco smirked.
“Thanks,” he told her, “you as well.”
“What’s the occasion?” Ginny asked.
“Mother’s coming home,” he reminded her. Of course. Though Ginny hadn’t realized she’d be home this early.
“Ginny, I hate to ask it… but could you stay in your room? Until I get you. I just want to… prepare my mother first. So she doesn’t walk in, and see you, and… well, honestly? Yell.” Well, at least Draco was being honest with her.
“No, I don’t mind.” She didn’t want to be something he was embarrassed of, but he was going to show her off. He just, didn’t want her to be a surprise. That was alright though, she’d spend time getting ready looking nice for Draco’s mother. Meeting a guy’s mother was important in the relationship after all.
After breakfast, Ginny went up to her room. She began again looking for clothes to wear. She pulled out the dress Draco had bought for Ginny for the party that night and laid it on the bed. It was so gorgeous. Then, she continued to look in the closet for nice clothes to wear. She decided to keep her skirt, and shoes, but decided a different shirt might be more appropriate. She couldn’t find a nice one though. Finally she found a white blouse with three-quarter sleeves that were folded up a bit and a black sweater vest. Looking herself over in the mirror, Ginny decided she looked like she was going to the school. That wasn’t right either. She pulled off the shirts and found another tight-fitting black t-shirt with a golden flower on it. It was lovely. Pulling it on and looking herself over in the mirror, Ginny decided this is what she would wear to officially meet Narcissa Malfoy.
Ginny waited around the room a while, mostly lying on the bed next to the dress. There was a light rapping on the door.
“Gin?” a voice called. Draco. Instantly, Ginny’s throat went dry. She got up slowly and opened the door for Draco. He smiled at her and took her hand, guiding her downstairs.
“Mum?” he called.
“Drakie?” she asked, Ginny smirked at the nickname.
“Drakie?” she asked quietly. Draco nudged her in the side. Ginny couldn’t see anything. She hadn’t closed her eyes, but they just stopped seeing. She heard taps as Narcissa’s heels clicked on the marble staircase.
“Ginny Weasley.” It was a statement. Not a question, not a repatition, a statement. This was certainly Ginny Weasley right in front of her. Sight came back to Ginny and she saw a thin, young woman in front of her. The waman wasn’t tall and she looked worn and aged. She had icy grey eyes like Draco’s and white-blond hair, also like her son’s. Narcissa couldn’t deny Draco if she had tried. Her nose was small, and pointed, all her features were sharp. Ginny wouldn’t call her pretty, but she was absolutely striking.
“Hullo, Mrs. Malfoy,” Ginny said softly.

Well, I've actually finished the story now... hahaha so it's all about timing and when to post. It's about 55 pages long (in Mic. Word) but don't worry... we're only on page 40, about 15 more pages left Enjoy.

:Is it going to be a boring party? Or a fun one?:
Narcissa didn’t say much to Ginny. She said hello, and poitely, yet dutifully, asked how she was and how her stay at Malfoy Manor was. Ginny respectfully answered that she was great, and the home was wonderful. Narcissa then decided she should start decorating the house, so she excused herself and pulled out a wand.
“She definitely likes you,” Draco whispered in Ginny’s ear in a tone that she couldn’t help but smile.
“Of course she does.” Ginny said confidently. Draco laughed at her softly. Ginny took Draco’s hand again, which she had long ago dropped (unknowingly, of course) and started pulling him towards her room.
“If I have to stay in here, so do you,” she told him, sititng him on her bed. Ginny lay next to a laughing Draco. They talked for a while, and then he looked at his watch.
“Best start getting ready for the party,” he told her, standing up Ginny nodded, and watched him leave, the door clicking behind him. With a sigh, Ginny picked up the dress again.
She slid it over her head, and it fit just as perfectly as it had at the store. The velvet hugged her every curve, making her whole figure look… slim. Ginny brushed out her hair, and used a straightener she found in the room to pull her hair straight. Her auburn locks fell neatly to her midback, and Ginny started putting on makeup. A little eyeliner, some mascara and blush, and just a tad of lipstick. Maybe a little more eyeshadow. Finally, Ginny was satisfied. The black pumps clicked on the floor as Ginny made her way to Draco’s room and she knocked.
“Yes?” he asked, and Ginny opened the door. Draco was wearing black slacks, and a white shirt that was unbuttoned. He was tying a black tie as he looked over in her direction.
“Hullo,” he greeted her.
“Hey,” she said casually, sitting on Draco’s bed as she watched him finish dressing. Draco finished the tie and buttoned his shirt.
“Ready to go down to the party?” he asked. Ginny shrugged.
“Depends, is it going to be some boring party? Or a fun one?” she asked.
“We can dance the whole time,” he suggested.
“Meaning, boring.” Ginny answered. Draco grinned.
“Let’s dance,” he told her and with a sigh, Ginny agreed.
The two went down the stairs together, where guests were already arriving. Ginny was scared, considering that she knew many of them were Death Eaters, and many would know who she was.
“What if they recognize me?” Ginny had asked Draco.
“Don’t worry, they won’t harm a hair on your head,” he informed her. Ginny was still nervous. Some of them weren’t Death Eaters, in fact, some of the were Ministry of Magic officials, so those who were Death Eaters couldn’t do anything anyways. Ginny was much more comfortable talking to the Misinistry officials then she was anyone else, since she didn’t know who was a Death Eater and who wasn’t, so that was what she spent any time she wasn’t spending with Draco doing. There was a little food, and a lot of dancing, and then a dinner, well a feast really.
The feast consisted of several chickens and turkeys and so many side dishes, Ginny couldn’t even count them. She didn’t know what most of them were, but Draco would point out some. (“That’s caviar on top of mashed sweet potatoes with a sprig of parsley on the side.”) Draco and Ginny talked while they ate, and after dinner people started leaving.
“Good-bye!” they would kiss Draco on both cheeks, as if they had known him since he was a child (which they probably did), and they would smile politely at Ginny.
“Good night, Narcissa, dear.” They would kiss each of her cheeks and leave. Draco put his hands over Ginny’s eyes and guided her into the living room. Once he removed his hands, Ginny saw a giant, decorated Christmas tree, but it wasn’t new. It had been there all night.
“So?” Ginny asked. Draco just smirked. Ginny looked down, where he was looking. Presents.
“So?” she repeated. Draco’s smirk only widened, he bent down and picked one up. ‘To: Ginny it said. There were several others.
“I got you one, but I got all the rest sent from Hogwarts. I would have given them to you this morning, but they only arrived just now,” he told her.
“Oh!” Ginny had left her gift upstairs. She ran up to get it, returning to a puzzled Draco. Ginny had her gift wrapped up in her hands. She handed it to Draco, and he smiled at her, handing her one. Draco sat right down on the floor. It reminded Ginny of an older-looking child, and her own home. Every Christmas morning the whole Weasley family and their guests would sit on the floor and exchange gifts, looking at ones wi their names on it. Then they would open them all.
Draco might have lived in a mansion, and he might be rich, and his father might be a Death Eater, but he enjoyed Christmas just the same. Ginny smiled and sat down next to him, opening her gift. A card said,
“Dear Ginny, I hope you enjoy it. Friends Love, Draco It was short, but sweet. She opened the small package and gasped.

Glad Narcissa liked Ginny...maybe she's not as bad as she seems, although you never know.
Is Draco proposing? 'Cause it would be a very romantic thing to do...
